Abstract

The learning model is still teacher-centered and needs to use teaching materials that support the learning process, which causes students' critical thinking skills to be underdeveloped. One learning model that can improve students' critical thinking skills is a learning model that involves active and student-centered students is the guided inquiry learning model. The applied guided inquiry learning model must have supporting media and teaching materials. Teaching materials that are practical and operational in the guided inquiry learning model are scientific worksheets. This study aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model assisted by scientific worksheets on the critical thinking skills of class XI natural science students. This research method is quasi-experimental with a randomized control group-only design. The population of this research is class  XI natural science one of the Islamic senior high school in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique in which the research results concentrated on critical thinking skills taken through critical thinking questions in the form of essays. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive analysis and two average similarity tests.  Data analysis showed thatc ,Then a t-test was carried out with the results of the t-count test of 3.47 with t-table 1.99 indicating that t-count is outside the acceptance area of Ho, meaning that Hi is accepted, that is, there is a significant influence of the Scientific worksheet on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The use of school facilities and infrastructure has not been used optimally. One of them is rarely using practicum KIT because of the teacher's lack of time to develop worksheets. Schools still apply literacy in reading, writing and numeracy and have not implemented scientific literacy. This application can be done with scientific literacy integrated worksheets for the use of physics practical KIT on dynamic fluid material which is considered in the validity test and practicality. The type of research is research and development (R&D) using the Borg & Gall model in Sugiyono's book. The initial data collection instruments used were questionnaires and interviews conducted by teachers and students. The validation test was carried out by 3 experts, namely Physics lecturers Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Padang State University and the practicality test was carried out by 2 Physics teachers and 36 students of class XI science 3. The analytical technique used was descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study obtained a product in the form of student worksheets integrated with scientific literacy for the use of physics practicum KIT on dynamic fluid material. based on product data analysis, a validity value of 0.85 was obtained in the very valid category and the practicality values of teachers and students were 87% and 90.25% respectively in the very practical category. Thus it shows that the worksheet is integrated with scientific literacy using the physics practicum KIT on dynamic fluid material that is feasible to use in the physics learning process.

Abstract

One of the impacts of The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) on Indonesia is the change in the curriculum in the Indonesian education system. The curriculum that is implemented today, emphasizes students on 21st century skills and the change from teacher center to student center. The reality in the field, learning Physics in class  shows that teachers still approach directly and involve students less in the learning process so that students are less motivated in learning which makes learning outcomes low. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of the problem based learning model with concept map on physics students achievement. This type of research is quasi experimental design. The instrument used in this study is a test instrument. The results showed that the average score of students in the experimental class of 63.88 was higher than the sample class of 59.21. Accompanied by quiz data, it also showed that the average score of the experimental class was higher than the control class at each meeting. The results of the hypothesis test obtained by the zcalculate >z table are 7.16>1.96 so that it can be said to reject Ho accept H1. Thus, the application of the PBL model accompanied by concept maps can be used and applied to students so that their learning outcomes increase

Abstract

Inventive learning models and student-centered learning tools have not been fully utilized. The guided inquiry learning with scientific worksheets is used to determine the effect of using class physics competency models X MIPA SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. This research used a quasi-experimental design with a Randomized Control Group Only Design. Samplers were selected using cluster random sampling technique. The data collected is in the form of knowledge, attitudes, and skills competencies. The results showed that the evaluation of the knowledge of the experimental sample was 81.11 and that of the control sample was 64.47. The average value of attitude competence for the experimental class was 90.48 and for the control class was 84.01. As for skills, the average value of the experimental group was 87.32 and that of the control group was 77.72. The calculated t value for the three aspects is greater than the t table value which indicates that the hypothesis is accepted. This proves that the use of guided inquiry learning models assisted by scientific worksheets can affect student competence.
