Abstract

This research was instigated by the importance of interesting teaching material availability on Chemistry subject. This research aimed at designing an interesting chemistry teaching material for students in order to increase educational quality, then validity test was conducted by the experts of media and material, practicality test was by Chemistry subject teacher, and trial was to the students. In this research, the handout was designed by using Guided Note Taking based Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on Reaction Rate lesson. The final product was in the form of a valid handout. It was Research and Development (R&D) with Borg and Gall modification model, and it was administered at State Senior High School Plus Riau Province. Interview, questionnaire, and documentation were the techniques of collecting the data. The handout with Guided Note Taking based CTL approach on Reaction Rate lesson developed was tested valid with the percentage 91.72% (very valid), it was tested practical with the percentage 88.33% (very practical), and it got good response to all handout contents with the percentage 93.54% (very good). Based on these findings, it could be concluded that the handout with Guided Note Taking based CTL approach on Reaction Rate lesson was valid and practical, and it got good student response, so it could be done the test on the next step.Keywords : Handout, Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Guided Note Taking, Reaction Rate

Abstract

AbstractThe design of Islamic integrated teaching materials in chemistry subjects is an important effort to increase and grow the awareness of students from intellectual, emotional and spiritual aspects. This study aims to design Islamic integrated comics teaching materials on the nature of chemistry, and determine the level of validity and practicality as well as student responses to the designed comics teaching materials. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall development model which includes 5 stages carried out namely information gathering, planning, development, testing, and final revision. The subjects of this research are material experts, Islamic religious experts, media experts, chemistry teachers and students of class X Science 1, and the object of research is an Islamic integrated comic on the material nature of chemistry. Comics are said to be feasible if they are valid and practical, with the percentage of validity obtained from material experts of 92.08% (very valid), the percentage of validity of Islamic religious experts is 76% (valid), the percentage of validity from media experts is 89.52% (very valid), the percentage of practicality obtained from chemistry teachers is 86.81% (very practical), and 80% of students give a very good response to the overall comic design. These results identify that Islamic integrated comics on the material nature of chemistry are valid and practical, further research is needed to test product productivity.Keywords : Teaching Materials, Comics, The Nature of Chemistry, Integrated Islam.AbstrakDesain bahan ajar terintegrasi Islam pada mata pelajaran kimia merupakan upaya penting untuk meningkatkan dan menumbuhkan kesadaran peserta didik dari aspek intelektual, emosional maupun spiritual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain bahan ajar komik terintegrasi Islam pada materi hakikat ilmu kimia, dan mengetahui tingkat validitas dan praktilitas serta respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar komik yang didesain. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall dengan yang meliputi 5 tahapan yang dilakukan  yaitu pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, pengembangan, uji coba, dan revisi akhir. Subjek penelitian ini adalah ahli materi, ahli agama Islam, ahli media, guru-guru kimia serta peserta didik kelas X Sains 1, dan objek penelitian adalah komik terintegrasi Islam pada materi hakikat ilmu kimia. Komik dikatakan layak jika valid dan praktis, dengan persentase kevalidan yang diperoleh dari ahli materi sebesar 92,08% (sangat valid), persentase kevalidan dari ahli agama Islam sebesar 76% (valid), persentase kevalidan dari ahli media sebesar 89,52% (sangat valid), persentase kepraktisan yang diperoleh dari guru-guru kimia sebesar 86,81% (sangat praktis), dan 80% peserta didik memberikan respon yang sangat bagus terhadap keseluruhan desain komik. Dari hasil tersebut mengidentifikasikan bahwa komik terintegrasi Islam pada materi hakikat ilmu kimia valid dan praktis diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk menguji produktifitas produk.Kata Kunci : Bahan Ajar, Komik, Hakikat Ilmu Kimia, Terintegrasi Islam.

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research was the presence of the covid-19 virus which is spreading rapidly throughout Indonesia, the number of people infected has made the government dismiss students, teachers, college students, lecturers, and workers. One of the activities that are obstracted due to this pandemic is the learning process. Therefore, the government has established an online teaching and learning system policy to stop the spread of covid-19. This alternative makes google classroom one of the media that can be used to assist teachers and students in carrying out online teaching and learning activities. The aim of this research was to know the effectiveness of online learning through Google Classroom on Chemistry Subject at State Senior High School 2 Singingi. The technique of collecting data in this research was online survey method with google form. The sample of this research was XI MIA 1 class that is consisted of 30 students based on purposive sampling technique. The questionnaire instrument in this research used the QAIT model indicators according to Slavin. Based on the research findings, the mean percentages of each effectiveness indicator showed that the online learning that is carried out is enough to replace face to face learning during the pandemic, the students also feel that the goals of online learning activities can be achieved well using Google classroom as a media. In addition, supporting data in the form of daily test results showed that the percentage of complete learning is 96,66% of students can achieve the standard of minimum criteria of mastery learning (KKM). Then, there is the effectiveness of online learning through google classroom on chemistry subject at state senior high school 2 Singingi. Abstract

This Limited Face-to-Face Learning Process (PTMT) is carried out by reducing the number of students in the class and reducing the allocation of learning time at each meeting for students, for example in chemistry subjects which were originally 3 x 45 minutes now to 1 x 45 minutes in one week , in the craft subject, which was originally 2 x 45 minutes now becomes 1 x 45 minutes in one week. The limited time allotted for face-to-face meetings, the researchers used the Telegram-free Blended Learning Model, the learning process was carried out in collaboration between Chemistry and Craft subjects in Improving Students' Skills in Making a Product that Has Selling Value During the Limited Face-to-Face Learning Period (PTMT) in Class X MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 3 Kundur, where the results of this research students can make a product that has a selling value, namely making hand sanitizer.Keywords : Blended Learning Model, Telegram, Limited Face-to-Face Learning

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed at knowing whether there was or not an effect and increase of values of Community of Inquiry (CoI) based Blended Learning model toward student learning achievement. It was Quasi Experimental research—a research that used an Experimental group and a Control group determined the difference of two variables. The samples of this research were 2 groups—the tenth-grade students of Natural Science 4 (the Experimental group) that were 36 students taught by using Community of Inquiry based Blended Learning model and the students of Natural Science 5 (the Control group) that were 34 students taught by using Conventional learning. The techniques of collecting the data were written pretest and posttest. The collected data were analyzed by using Independent Sample t test and to see the effect of using the coefficient of determination. The final data processing results obtained tcount of 1.778 while the value of ttable at a significant level of 5% = 1.684 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Means there is an influence of blended learning model based on community of inquiry (CoI) with conventional learning models on student learning outcomes. To determine the magnitude of the effect of the treatment used the coefficient of determination formula and the results obtained by 0.04, so the coefficient of influence (Kp) obtained is equal to 4%.Keywords : Blended Learning, Community of Inquiry, Learning Achievement, Atomic Structure and Periodic System of the ElementsAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh dan peningkatan nilai model Blended Learning berbasis Community of Inquiry (CoI) terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Merupakan penelitian kuasi Eksperimental—penelitian yang menggunakan kelompok Eksperimen dan kelompok Kontrol menentukan perbedaan dua variabel. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 2 kelompok yaitu siswa kelas X IPA 4 (kelompok eksperimen) yang berjumlah 36 siswa yang diajar dengan model Blended Learning berbasis Community of Inquiry dan siswa IPA 5 (kelompok kontrol) yang sebanyak 34 siswa diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah pretest dan posttest tertulis. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan Independent Sample t-test dan untuk melihat pengaruhnya menggunakan koefisien determinasi. Hasil pengolahan data akhir diperoleh t-hitung sebesar 1,778 sedangkan nilai t-tabel pada taraf signifikan 5% = 1,684 maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berarti ada pengaruh model pembelajaran blended learning berbasis community of inquiry (CoI) dengan model pembelajaran konvensional terhadap hasil.Kata Kunci: Blended Learning, Komunitas Inkuiri, Prestasi Belajar, Struktur Atom dan Sistem Periodik Unsur

Abstract

Basically, students had critical thinking skills in learning such as questioning, hypothesizing, clarifying, observing, and interpreting.  In fact, these skills sometime were not developed well, so it was needed a method that was able to develop student critical thinking skills.  This research aimed at analyzing student critical thinking ability through virtual practical work method.  It was conducted in the eleventh grade of Natural Science one at Islamic Senior High School of Yaspika Karimun.  Descriptive method was used in this research with one shot case study design.  The samples were one of two classes, and Purposive sampling technique was used in this research.  Instruments of this research were essay test and observation sheet.  The data analysis results showed that the mean percentage of critical thinking ability of the eleventh-grade students of Natural Science 1 at Islamic Senior High School of Yaspika Karimun on Buffer Solution lesson was 74.34% with good category for test instrument, and the mean percentage of observation sheet instrument was 76.67% with good category.  Based on these findings, it could be concluded that student critical thinking skills with Virtual Practical Work method on Buffer Solution lesson was on good category.Keywords : Critical Thinking Ability, Virtual Practical Work Method, Buffer Solution

Abstract

AbstractThis research is constituted by the available practicum guides that have not been able to develop the ability of students to be active and independent during the learning process in the laboratory. This research aimed at knowing the validity and practicality levels of the Learning Cycle 5E-based practicum guide on Chemical Equilibriumlesson.  The research design used was a 4D model which was limited to 3 stages, namely Define, Design, and Develop.  This research was administered at State Senior High School 4 Pekanbaru.  The subjects of this research were practicum guide media design experts, learning material experts, chemistry subject teachers and teachers at State Senior High School 4 Pekanbaru.  The object was Learning Cycle 5E based practicum guide on Chemical Equilibriumlesson.  The data were obtained from a questionnaire based on paper.  Validity and practicality test questionnaires were the instruments for collecting data.  The data obtained were analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques.  Based on the practicum guide developed was tested valid with a percentage of 94% (very valid), and it was tested practical with a percentage of 89% (very practical) on the data, it could be concluded that Learning Cycle 5E based practicum guide on Chemical Equilibrium lesson was valid and practical, So that it could be a teacher teaching material at school. Keywords : Chemical Equilibrium, Learning Cycle 5E, Practicum Guide

Abstract

Abstract This research on the development of animated video media using the kinemaster application aims to determine the feasibility of chemistry learning media on hydrocarbon materials for SMAN 1 Inuman. The data collection instruments used were material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, linguist validation sheets and student response validation sheets. The data analysis technique used is by calculating the percentage score of the validation assessment. The results showed that the validation results met the valid categories of material experts by 91.93%, media experts by 90.00%, and linguists by 90.47%. This learning media also meets the valid category from the results of student responses with validation gains of 91.59%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the animated video learning media is very suitable to be used as a medium for learning chemistry on hydrocarbon materials.Keywords: Learning Media, Animation Videos, Kinemaster, Hydrocarbons    AbstrakPenelitian pengembangan media video animasi menggunakan aplikasi kinemaster ini betujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dari media pembelajaran kimia pada materi hidrokarbon di SMAN 1 Inuman. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi ahli materi, lembar validasi ahli media, lembar validasi ahli bahasa dan angket respon siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan cara menghitung skor persentase penilaian validasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil perolehan validasi memenuhi kategori valid dari ahli materi sebesar 91,93%, ahli media sebesar 90,00%, dan ahli bahasa sebesar 90,47%. Media pembelajaran ini juga memenuhi kategori valid  dari  hasil respon siswa dengan perolehan validasi sebesar 91,59%. Abstract

AbstractLearn from covid-19 pandemic, It is necessary to renew, adjust, and improve teaching and learning activities in schools. One of them is by utilizing and developing learning media based on technology that can show various microscopic and abstract concepts that are difficult to display or visualize directly, namely interactive worksheets based on live worksheets. This research was carried out in the 2021/2022 academic year at Senior High School Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru with the main material being is acid-base. The method of this research used was ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) modeling with limitation up to the implementation stage only. The data taken in this research were in the form of literature studies, interviews, and questionnaires. The data collection instrument of this research was in the form of validity questionnaires and responses questionnaires data. The data obtained were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Interactive students worksheets based on the live worksheets on acid-base materials had been tested to be very valid with a percentage of 88.93% from media experts and 82,44% from material experts and got very good response from students with percentage of 92,66%. Based on these results it can be concluded that interactive student worksheets based on live worksheets on acid - base materials are declared to be valid and reliable so that this media is suitable to be applied in the learning process.Keywords : Acid Base, Liveworksheet, E-LKPD

Abstract

This study aims to identify the process of making ethnofood lomang and the scientific elements contained in this traditional food culture. The research used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study method or approach. Data collection techniques using observation and interview methods. The results of the study show local wisdom to know the process of making lomang. The process of making lomang through several stages. Among them are the selection of tolang bamboo and banana shoots, and the washing of tolang bamboo and pulut rice. Furthermore, before the roasting process, the lamang to be burned must be given coconut milk and first tied the top of the excess banana leaf at the base of the bamboo. Keywords : Local Wisdom, Ethnoscience, Ethnofood for Making Lomang, Science Learning
