Building on the successful legacy of its predecessor, Higher Education in Europe, EJHEAA is establishing itself as one of the flagship journals in the study of higher education and specifically in the study of European higher education. The journal accepts original research articles and proposals for special issues. We strongly recommend that authors consult back issues of EJHEAA for examples of topics of interest to our readership and to ensure that your proposed article is in conversation with any prior articles in the same topic area published in EJHEAA or other higher education journals. The articles that are part of a special issue do not all necessarily have to have an explicit European focus as long as the overall theme of the special issue fits the scope of this journal.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the factors that influence the effectiveness of supervision in education, focusing on various theories of supervision such as clinical, formal, reflective, and transformational supervision. Using a qualitative research design with a case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis in several schools. Thematic analysis was used to identify the main themes from the data obtained. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of supervision is influenced by the quality of communication between supervisors and teachers, a clear understanding of the purpose of supervision, and the competence of supervisors in providing constructive feedback. A supportive school context and culture are also very important for teacher professional development. A supervision approach that is tailored to the specific needs of schools and teachers has been shown to be effective in improving the quality of teaching and student learning outcomes. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of a holistic approach to supervision to achieve overall improvements in the quality of education. Recommendations for further research include longitudinal studies and exploration of the use of technology in supervision to support further teacher professional development.

Abstract

Kurikulum merupakan kerangka kerja yang digunakan dalam perencanaan, pengajaran, dan penilaian di dalam sistem pendidikan Dalam era Abad ke-21, kurikulum harus memperhatikan kebutuhan siswa yang berbeda, mendorong kreativitas, kemampuan berpikir kritis, keterampilan kolaborasi, pemecahan masalah, literasi digital, dan kemampuan beradaptasi dengan perubahan yang cepat. Kurikulum merdeka memberikan kebebasan kepada siswa untuk memilih dan mengatur pembelajaran mereka sendiri, sesuai dengan minat, bakat, dan tujuan pribadi mereka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara dan observasi langsung. Dengan hasil SMA Negeri 36 Jakarta telah mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka dengan tipe merdeka berbagi dan menjadi salah satu sekolah penggerak. tujuan kurikulum merdeka yaitu memasukan 6 eleman nilai pancasila disetiap projek yang diberikan, serta membuat projek tersebut diolah dengan menggunakan keterampilan 4C. Sehingga projek yang diberikan oleh SMA Negeri 36 Jakarta dapa mencangkup pembentukan karakter pancasila sesuai dengan tujuan kurikulum merdeka dan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan 4C peserta didik. Penerapan pembelajaran intrakulikuler dan ekstrakulikuler di SMA Negeri 36 Jakarta sudah didasari oleh minat, bakat, dan kemampuan peserta didik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan 4C.

Abstract

Some teachers will complete the learning tool when there is a visit by the school supervisor to the pesantren and also when they complete it only to complete the requirements to receive the teacher's professional allowance. The results of the study are (1). The planning implications in the learning management at Darul Aman Islamic Boarding School of Aceh Besar District are proven by holding a teaching plan, because teaching planning is a very important matter arranged optimally before the learning process is implemented, whether or not the learning process is carried out out well depending on the teaching plan that has been set together. Islamic Boarding School leaders as supervisors are able to guide and supervise teachers in preparing teaching plans. (2). The implementation implications in the learning management at Darul Aman Islamic Boarding School Of Aceh Besar District is the learning process is carried out with a). Manage the learning process, b). Manage classes, c). Using media, d). Mastery of the educational foundation, and e). Manage learning interactions. (3). The implications of controlling in the learning management at Darul Aman Islamic Boarding School of Aceh Besar District are carried out by evaluating the weaknesses and programs that have been implemented to improve the implementation of the program to improve future learning. Abstract

This research aims to investigate the application of authentic assessment in teaching poetry texts at the intermediate (SMP) level and the challenges faced by Indonesian language teachers with errors. In this process. Education is an effort to change a person's attitudes and behavior towards maturity through training and guidance. The 2013 curriculum requires students to be more active and inclusive in the learning process through continuous assessment which includes cognitive, attitude and ability aspects. However, practice in this area places greater emphasis on cognitive aspects, and a full-scale assessment is required to assess a student's  overall abilities. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data was collected through interviews, observation and recording with Indonesian language teachers. Triangulation techniques are used to test the validity of the data. Data analysis was carried out descriptively to obtain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of authentic assessment and the obstacles teachers face in teaching poetry texts.

Abstract

MTs Darul Aman, Aceh Besar District is one of the schools or madrasas in Darussalam District which tries to shape student character, both through classroom learning and through the OSIS. The OSIS of MTs Darul Aman, Aceh Besar District, has many programs, but it requires the cooperation of good teachers and management to develop OSIS members so that they have good character. This research is qualitative in nature. Qualitative research is a research procedure with descriptive data results. In collecting data, researchers carried out observation, interviews and documentation studies. Observations were carried out by means of interviews and documentation studies. The interview guide used was in the form of open ended and probing questions . The documentation study in this research was carried out on various notes and documentation regarding profiles and backgrounds, data or documents related to OSIS management in shaping student character. OSIS planning in shaping student character. Every OSIS activity at MTs Darul Aman, Aceh Besar District, always begins with planning contained in the work program created by the OSIS management together with the guidance and guidance of the School Principal. The process is always carried out throughout the day. Because it is believed that a good process will produce what is expected to shape the student's character. Evaluations carried out by supervisory teachers help develop the management of the OSIS administrators. Starting from program planning to the evaluation process and helping to communicate funding sources for activities to the school principal. The student's character can be seen from every activity , does have a positive influence on students. Because for every activity, students are always given targets for change

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop an affective assessment to measure student participation in learning Indonesian. Effective assessment must include emotional dimensions, attitudes and values ​​that support student participation in the learning process. Assessment tools that integrate the principles of polite language skills not only measure student participation and interest, but also ensure that classroom interactions reflect the values ​​of politeness and respect. The method used in this research includes a literature review. The research results show that the developed affect assessment can provide a comprehensive picture of students' affective engagement and positively improve the quality of Indonesian language learning. Active and responsible student participation is expected to support the achievement of comprehensive and meaningful educational goals.

Abstract

When repairing slate floors and foundations in earthquake areas, we propose to carry out the expansion of the base surface of the foundation in practice using two methods. In addition there are various methods related to the repair of slate floors and foundations used in construction practice, which can be conditionally divided into three types, depending on the general purpose: reducing the value of the pressure transmitted to the slate floor; strengthening the foundation material; increasing the strength indicators of the slate grout. The Lewis sinks and the strength of the foundation drops sharply. In this case, a loss of stability of the base is observed, which often leads to the complete or partial destruction of buildings and structures. Let's also consider ways to prevent this.

Abstract

This paper describes how to applying the Cooperative Learning Method with concept mapping learning in English Language Education Department. The overall knowledge domain speaking in the field is shown. It is underlined that the concept mapping serves as a suitable tool to support instructors in promoting students’ skill of speaking and in improving their understanding of new concepts. This study examines the effect of concept mapping methods and assessment on the English speaking skills of students in English Education Department at Banten Jaya University. The results of the research testing described in the previous can be drawn: 1). There is an effect of the Cooperative Learning method with the Concept mapping to the fourth semester students speaking skill in English Education Department 2) There is an effect of Assessment on the English speaking skills of fourth semester students of the English Education Department. 3) There is an interaction between the Cooperative Learning method and concept mapping with assessment in Concept Mapping method in Speaking skill of fourth Student in English Education Department. From the three findings above, it can be concluded that the application of the method of learning English speaking skills must consider students' Speaking skill assessments

Abstract

This paper is a brief discussion of leadership in Islamic education management. Leadership is an activity in guiding a group so that the goals of the group are achieved, namely common goals. Leadership is an obligation if an organization wants to run effectively. Effective leadership indicates leadership delivered by a leader who is authoritative and wise in implementing his leadership strategy in order to realize the vision and mission that is held firmly by himself and his team and lead many people in a better direction. Because, leaders in organizations are managers who carry out management functions. A leader can carry out his role by providing assistance, namely by creating a good climate, the leader can also help the group in establishing work procedures. So this article aims to provide an overview of the role of leadership in improving the performance of educational institutions. Therefore, it is necessary to implement leadership functions in order to progress an organization. This paper was selected using the library research method by collecting various written sources to obtain conclusions from this research.
