Abstract

The target for this community service program is a resident of Jl. Parikesit RT 05 RW 03 Dusun Picis, Balongdowo Village, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency. He had a work accident in one of the industries in the city of Sidoarjo in 2010 on the left wrist up to the fingers, so the doctor suggested amputation. He is actually still in his productive age (36 years old) but because of this situation, he is unable to carry out activities in the world of work and has decreased confidence in himself and avoids socializing in society. The purpose of this community partnership program (PKM) activity is to apply 3d printing technology in the manufacture of prosthetic hands for people who have transradial amputations as an effort to improve the quality of life. The implementation methods used are: a) the measurement of several physical parameters on the amputee such as the diameter of the arm circumference, the length of the amputated part, weight and height. In addition to physical parameters, we also carry out medical measurements, including obtaining information on health conditions such as blood pressure, heart health and blood glucose levels, b) designing prosthetic hands using 3D application programs and 3D printers, c) mechanical and functional testing for perform basic movements in the form of opening and closing the palms, d) monitoring and evaluation of the use of prosthetic hands. The results obtained from this activity are that the patient can use the prosthetic hand to assist with activities in carrying out daily activities. In this PKM activity, amputees have been tested, namely the movement of holding a mineral water bottle, holding a banana, peeling a banana peel and driving a two-wheeled motorized vehicle. Monitoring shows that patients need regular exercise in using prosthetic hands so that they are able to control and condition their use. In the future, several developments can be made, including in terms of control and size of the prosthetic hand so that patients can feel the benefits of a prosthetic hand that functions like a normal hand.

Abstract

Some of the problems faced by partners include the EKG machine in the publich health center (Puskesmas) at the Puskesmas Deket, Lamongan, which has a fairly high workload on daily use, considering that the population in the working area of the Deket Health Center is 44,193 people, so maintenance is mandatory to be carried out regularly to maintain sustainability. the function of the tool on the other side of the Deket, Lamongan health center there are no special personnel or technicians who carry out routine and periodic maintenance of the ECG machine. Therefore, community service activities in the form of counseling and assistance for health workers at the Deket Health Center, Lamongan are important so that they can carry out ECG machine maintenance activities independently. Furthermore, for the last 5 years or so, health workers at the Deket Health Center, Lamongan have received less training or workshops related to the maintenance of the ECG machine. As a completion step, it is necessary to carry out implementation steps through methods, namely communicating with the head of the Deket Health Center, Lamongan Regency to prepare for the right day and target participants to receive ECG maintenance counseling activities at partners, provide counseling for health workers or the person in charge ECG so the next step is to carry out maintenance activities together. With the method we propose, partners can learn together in implementing the SOPs that have been delivered during the counseling. Furthermore, lecturers and students regularly provide assistance for partners in carrying out maintenance activities for 7 months so that partners are expected to carry out maintenance activities independently. The results obtained after carrying out community service activities are ECG machine operators can use the machine well. Several problems related to the irregular display of the ECG recording can be resolved properly, after replacing the ECG electrode cable section. Maintenance of electromedical equipment, especially ECG is important to be done regularly so that the ECG machine can be operated at any time.

Abstract

Centrifuge is a laboratory tool used for the process of separating particles of a solution between the filtrate and the substrate through a high-speed centripetal process. The increasing use of Centrifuges at the Turi Lamongan Health Center causes the equipment to be vulnerable to damage. In addition, the lack of handling of these tools is due to limited medical analysts and the absence of electromedical personnel as well as insufficient funds, so that the impact on the health service system at the puskesmas is disrupted. Therefore, it is very important to create a community service program that is carried out in the form of a synergistic collaboration between the Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health Surabaya and the Turi Lamongan Health Center which is oriented towards community independence through counseling and assistance, especially in the maintenance of the Centrifuge laboratory. The purpose of this activity is maintenance by testing and calibrating/verifying the motor speed and time on the centrifuge in accordance with the working guidelines. The methodological concept in this activity is to carry out counseling and assistance activities in the maintenance and verification of centrifuge laboratory equipment using a digital tachometer. Abstract

The increasing number of companies and the number of batik productions in the Ngawi region is directly proportional to the amount of wastewater produced and thus poses a burden on the environment as the overflow of wastewater is absorbed from the production process. The results of the laboratory analyses showed that the values for TSS, color, COD, BOD, total ammonia, oil, and grease exceeded the quality standards. Prevention of pollution from wastewater is done through community empowerment. Community empowerment aims to realize the development of Appropriate Technology for Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) and the prevention of Wastewater Pollution to the Environment Around Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) Griya Batik Widi Nugraha, Ngawi Regency. The benefit of community empowerment is to provide experience for other Batik Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) development programs. Community empowerment at UKM Griya Batik Widi Nugraha Ngawi uses methods of document collection, site surveys, preparation of processing systems, training, and demonstrations. The target group of community empowerment activities at Griya Batik Widi Nugraha Ngawi are the owner of Griya Batik Widi Nugraha Ngawi, batik workers at Griya Batik Widi Nugraha Ngaw, workers in the dyeing and washing process, administrators of Ngawi Batik Association and construction workers. Results of Community Empowerment of UKM Griya Batik Widi Nugraha Workers and Surroundings Together with the academic community of Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya, appropriate technology was built for a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) with a capacity of 1,464.5 liters per day, which is still safe for UKM Griya Batik Widi Nugraha Ngawi Regency. The stages of wastewater treatment are pre-treatment, secondary treatment, tertiary treatment, and storage of the final product. The results of the functional tests based on effluent samples from the final treatment showed that the treatment plant was able to reduce the levels of TSS, color, COD, BOD, total ammonia, oil, and grease that exceeded the quality standard to meet the quality requirements as per the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. P.16/MENLAHK /SETJEN/KUM.1/2019. These results provide benefits for UKM Griya Batik Widi Nugraha to prevent pollution and can use treated water as a source of fish pond water and watering the garden. It is recommended that community empowerment can be continued by other SMEs that have the potential to dispose of wastewater from production activities and pollute the environment through the use of appropriate technology (TTG) research results by lecturers or students so that they do not stop as intakes.
