Abstract

The critical thinking ability of students in science learning is still low. This study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model (PBM) through the zoom application on students' critical thinking in science learning at State Junior High Schools. The research method used in this research is Quasi Experiment. With pretest and posttest experimental group design. The population in this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Ujan Mas in the 2020/2021 academic year with a sample of 2 classes, namely class VII.1 as a control class using conventional learning and class VII.2 as an experimental class using a problem-based learning model. , each class consists of 30 students. Collecting data using essay tests to measure students' critical thinking skills. The results showed that there was a significant effect from the application of the problem-based learning model through the zoom application on the critical thinking skills of SMP Negeri 1 Ujan Mas students and on students' perceptions that they were in the medium category. Abstrak. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA masih rendah. Penelitian ini bettujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBM) melalui aplikasi zoom terhadap berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA Di SMP Negeri. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimen. Dengan desain pretes dan postest experimental group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Ujan Mas Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021 dengan sampel sebanyak 2 kelas yaitu kelas VII.1 sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional dan kelas VII.2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, masing-masing kelas berjumlah 30 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes essay untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah melalui aplikasi zoom terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP Negeri 1 Ujan Mas dan pada persepsi siswa masuk kedalam kategori sedang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The application of performance instruments in practical activities has an important role in improving learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of performance instruments on students' cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes. This study uses a Quasi Experimental Design by using a pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was class VII SMP Negeri 7 Jambi City and the sampling was carried out by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study were tests for cognitive aspects and demonstration instruments for psychomotor aspects. Data analysis used One Sample T Test and Paired Sample t-test. The results of the research on the cognitive aspect showed that the average score of the Pretest score for the experimental class was 37.09 and the average score for the Posttest was 84.67. In the experimental class the psychomotor aspect of practicum activities obtained a value of 0.002 <0.05, which means Normal or it can be said that the average value of the psychomotor abilities of students is better after the implementation of performance instruments. Keywords: Performance Instruments, Learning Outcomes   Abstrak. Penerapan instrumen unjuk kerja dalam kegiatan praktikum memiliki peranan penting dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh instrumen unjuk kerja terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan psikomotorik siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan menngunakan desain pretest-postest. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Kota Jambi dan pengambilan sampel dilaksanakan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan metode tes untuk aspek kognitif dan Instrumen unjuk kerja pada aspek psikomotor. Analisis data menggunakan Uji One Sample T Test dan Paired Sample t-test. Hasil penelitian pada aspek kognitif menunjukkan hasil skor rata-rata nilai Pretest kelas  eksperimen yaitu 37,09 dan rata-rata nilai Posttest yaitu 84,67. Pada kelas Eksperimen aspek psikomotor kegiatan praktikum memperoleh nilai 0,002 <0,05 yang artinya Normal atau dapat dikatakan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan psikomotorik peserta didik lebih baik setelah dilakukan penerapan instrumen unjuk kerja. Abstract

This research uses mixed methods with a study design in sequence model aim to analize the ability of creative thinking level and the difference of creative thingking ability for student who has field independent cognitive style and field dependent cognitive style in Problem Based E-Leaning of Environmental Pollution in X MIPA class in Sungai Penuh public high school 1. Sampling of this research is 70 X MIPA students using stratifies random sampling. Quantitative data is analized with descriptive statistical technique and independent sample T-Test, while qualitative data is analized with interactive analysis technique. The analysis result is creative thinking ability of students with the field independent (FI) cognitive style is higher than the student with field dependent (FD) cognitive style in Problem Based E-Leaning of Environmental Pollution. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kombinasi (mixed methods), dengan rancangan penelitian berupa model urutan, yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada siswa yang memiliki gaya kognitif field independent dan gaya kognitif field dependent dalam pembelajaran elektronik (e-learning) berbasis masalah materi pencemaran lingkungan di kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Kota Sungai Penuh. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 70 orang siswa kelas X MIPA yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan Independent Sample T-Test, sedangkan data kualitatif di analisis dengan menggunakan teknik model analisis interaktif. Hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan gaya kognitif field independent (FI) lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa dengan gaya kognitif fielddependent (FD), dalam pembelajaran elektronik (e-learning) berbasis masalah materi pencemaran lingkungan. Abstract

The online learning system is one from of realizing Revolution 4.0 which focuses on technology based learning. Online learning is learning without face to face directly between lecturers and students, but is carried out by utilizing information technology. The purpose of this study was to find out the description of online biology learning during the Covid-19 pandemic FKIP Muhammadiyah University of Palembang. This type of research is a qualitative research. The results of this study are that there are three activities, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. In planning activities, the lecturer make RPS or SAP and also prepares teaching materials. Besides that, students also do planning starting from the place, completeness of stationery, and readiness to learn. In the implementation of learning applications that are often used zoom and whatsapp. The learning method used is question and answer discussion. The obstacle that is very often encountered in online learning is the signal problem. The readiness of students and lecturers during the online learning process is quite good. The characteristics of students in online learning look more creative. The form of evaluation is in the form of assignments after the end of the lecture and the application used by Whatsapp. For the final semester exam, it is done in writing with the lecturer sending questions in the whatsapp group. Abstrak. Sistem pembelajaran daring salah satu bentuk untuk mewujudkan Revolusi Industri 4.0 yang menitikberatkan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Pembelajaran daring merupakan pembelajaran tanpa tatap muka secara langsung antara dosen dan mahasiwa, tetapi dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pembelajaran daring biologi di masa pandemi Covid-19 FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat tiga kegiatan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Pada kegiatan perencanaan dosen membuat RPS atau SAP dan juga mempersiapkan bahan ajar selain itu mahasiswa juga melakukan perencanaan mulai dari tempat, kelengkapan alat tulis, dan kesipan belajar. Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran aplikasi yang sering digunakan zoom dan whatsapp. Metode pembelajaran yang dipakai diskusi tanya jawab. Kendala yang sangat sering ditemui dalam pembelajaran daring adalah masalah sinyal. Untuk kesiapan mahasiswa dan dosen selama proses pembelajaran daring cukup baik. Karakteristik mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran daring ini terlihat lebih kreatif. Bentuk evaluasi berupa tugas-tugas setelah akhir perkuliahan dan aplikasi yang digunakan whatsapp. Untuk ujian akhir semester dilakukan secara tertulis dengan dosen mengirimkan soal-soal di grup whatsapp.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the guided inquiry-based biology learning module on ecosystem material for class X high school students, to determine the feasibility of the guided inquiry-based biology learning module on ecosystem material for class X high school students, and to find out the responses from biology teachers and students. In terms of the results of the questionnaire assessment. This study uses the Research and Development method developed by Sugiyono to develop printed learning media in the form of modules. Before testing the product, the finished initial product is then validated by experts. The final result of the material expert got a percentage of 86% with the "Very Eligible" criteria, and media expert validation got a percentage of 92% with the "Very Eligible" criteria. After that, a limited-scale trial was conducted, the results of the biology teacher's response were 95.41% and from 10 students the percentage was 90.50%. In conclusion, the module developed has the criteria of "Very Good" and is suitable for use in the learning. Key words: Learning Module, Guided Inquiry, Ecosystem   Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi ekosistem untuk siswa kelas X SMA, untuk mengetahui kelayakan modul pembelajaran biologi berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi ekosistem untuk siswa kelas X SMA, dan untuk mengetahui tanggapan dari guru biologi dan peserta didik ditinjau dari hasil penilaian angket. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development yang dikembangkan oleh Sugiyono untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran cetak dalam bentuk modul. Sebelum menguji produk, produk awal yang telah selesai kemudian divalidasi oleh para ahli. Hasil akhir dari ahli materi mendapatkan presentase 86% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”, dan validasi ahli media mendapatkan presentase 92% dengan kriteria “Sangat Layak”. Setelah itu dilakukan uji coba skala terbatas, hasil respon guru biologi 95,41% dan dari 10 siswa persentasenya 90,50%. Kesimpulannya, modul yang dikembangkan memiliki kriteria “Sangat Baik”  dan layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Modul Pembelajaran, Inkuiri Terbimbing, Ekosistem

Abstract

This study aims to develop LKPD based on Guided Inquiry for Class X Fungi Materials in SMA. The development model used in this research is the Plomp development model which consists of three stages, namely; (1) initial investigation, (2) development and manufacture of prototypes, and (3) assessment. The LKPD was tested on tenth-grade students of SMA IT Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi City and biology subject teachers. The results of the design expert's assessment, it was found that the LKPD design was very feasible, with a score of 61 or 95.31%. Meanwhile, from the results of the material expert assessment, it was found that the material on the LKPD was very feasible, with a score of 110 or 86%. The results of individual trials, small group trials, and large-group trials, it was found that LKPD has a very practical level of practicality, with the acquisition of practicality scores of 34.67, 36.40 and 34.60, respectively. Likewise, the results of the practicality assessment by the teacher showed that the LKPD had a very practical level of practicality, with a practicality score of 35. It was concluded that the LKPD based on Guided Inquiry on Fungic Materials was very feasible and practical to use in learning activities. Keywords: Development, LKPD, Guided Inquiry, Fungi Material   Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan LKPD berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing Materi Fungi Kelas X SMA. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu; (1) investigasi awal, (2) pengembangan dan pembuatan prototype, dan (3) penilaian. LKPD diujicobakan kepada siswa kelas X SMA IT Diniyyah Al-Azhar Kota Jambi dan guru mata pelajaran biologi. Hasil penilaian ahli desain, didapatkan bahwa desain LKPD sudah sangat layak, dengan perolehan skor sebesar 61 atau 95,31%. Sementara dari hasil penilaian ahli materi, didapatkan bahwa materi pada LKPD sudah sangat layak, dengan perolehan skor sebesar 110 atau 86%. Hasil ujicoba perorangan, uji coba kelompok kecil, dan ujicoba kelompok besar, didapatkan bahwa LKPD memiliki tingkat kepraktisan sangat praktis, dengan perolehan skor praktikalitas masing-masing sebesar 34,67, 36,40 dan 34,60. Begitupula hasil penilaian praktikalitas oleh guru didapatkan bahwa LKPD memiliki tingkat kepraktisan sangat praktis, dengan perolehan skor praktikalitas sebesar 35. Disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing Materi Fungi sudah sangat layak dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model in learning ecosystem material biology on critical thinking and cognitive biology learning outcomes of students. The design of this research is the pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was class X MIA at MAS PAB 2 Helvetia Deli Serdang, where the sample consisted of 2 classes with a simple random sampling technique. Class X MIA-1 as an experimental class uses a guided inquiry learning model, while class X MIA-2 as a control class uses a conventional learning model. Data collection techniques used observation sheets and written tests, consisting of a pretest posttest totaling 40 questions. Data were analyzed using inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of critical thinking research, for the t-test it was found that tcount = 26,286 while ttable = 2,002. The results of the study, for the t test, it was obtained that tcount = 22.551 while ttable = 2.002, it means that tcount > ttable then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion from the results of this study is that there is an influence of the guided inquiry learning model on critical thinking and student learning outcomes at MAS PAB 2 Helvetia Deli Serdang. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA di MAS PAB 2 Helvetia Deli Serdang, yang mana sampelnya terdiri dari 2 kelas dengan teknik acak kelas (Simple Random Sampling). Kelas X MIA-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran guided inquiry, sedangkan kelas X MIA-2 sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes tertulis, terdiri dari pretest posttest yang berjumlah 40 soal. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian berpikir kritis,  untuk uji t diperoleh bahwa thitung = 26,286 sedangkan ttabel = 2,002. Hasil belajar, untuk uji t diperoleh bahwa thitung = 22,551 sedangkan ttabel = 2,002, itu berarti bahwa thitung > ttabel maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu ada pengaruh model pembelajaran guided inquiry terhadap berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa di MAS PAB 2 Helvetia Deli Serdang. Abstract

Learning media in the form of video is a medium that can be used by teachers to be used in learning. Video media contains learning materials that are equipped with pictures and videos that make it easier to understand the material. This study aims to develop learning media in the form of videos, determine the feasibility, responses of teachers, students, and the effectiveness of video media that have been developed to improve learning outcomes. Video media development uses the ADDIE model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Video media products are validated by media experts and material experts with excellent results. The results of the biology teacher's response as well as small group and large group trials obtained very good results. The results of the effectiveness test using the paired-sample t test showed that there was an effect on the use of video media on the insectivorous predation phenomenon in improving student learning outcomes. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that the media developed is suitable for use in learning. Key words: Video Media, Online Learning, Insectivorous Predation Phenomen   Abstrak. Media pembelajaran berupa video merupakan media yang bisa dipakai oleh guru untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Media Video memuat materi pembelajaran yang dilengkapi dengan gambar serta video yang memudahkan dalam memahami materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa video, mengetahui kelayakan, respon guru, peserta didik, serta efektivitas media video yang telah dikembangkan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar. Pengembangan media video menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari tahap analysis, design, development, implementation dan evaluation. Produk media video divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi dengan perolehan hasil sangat baik. Hasil respon guru biologi serta ujicoba kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar diperoleh hasil sangat baik. Hasil uji efektivitas menggunakan uji paired sample t test menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh pada penggunaan media video pada materi fenomena predasi insektivora dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh maka disimpulkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Media Video, Pembelajaran Daring, Fenomena Predasi Insektivora

Abstract

One of the communication skills that must be possessed by prospective biology teachers is oral communication skills. Communication learning plays an important role. The aim of this research is to know the oral communication skills of prospective biology teachers through distance learning. This study uses True Experimental Design with a type of one shoot case study design. A research sample of 30 students of Wiralodra University Biology Education was randomly selected. The results of the data analysis showed that the communication skills of prospective biology teachers in distance learning using the Moodle platform were in the good category with a percentage of 81.8%. Key words: Communication Skills, Prospecive Biology Teacher   Abstrak. Salah satu keterampilan komunikasi yang harus dimiliki oleh calon guru biologi yaitu keterampilan komunikasi lisan. Dalam pembelajaran komunikasi berperan penting. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keterampilan komunikasi lisan calon guru biologi melalui pembelajaran jarak jauh. Penelitian ini menggunakan True Experimental Design dengan jenis rancangan one shoot case study. Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of digital comic media on environmental pollution material for class X high school students, as well as students' perceptions of the media. This study uses the ADDIE model development design. The data collection technique used a questionnaire sheet and multiple choice questions. The instrument used was a validation questionnaire sheet to determine the feasibility of the media, teacher, and student-response questionnaires to determine the attractiveness of the media and multiple-choice questions to determine the effectiveness of the media. Data analysis techniques used in research and development are qualitative and quantitative. Based on the results of the validation of the development of digital comic media by material experts twice and media experts once the media was declared valid and could be tested, while the teacher response results obtained a percentage of 94% in the very good category, the results of student responses in small group trials obtained a percentage of 93 % in the very good category, the results of student responses in the large group trial obtained a percentage of 87% in the very good category and the results of field trials or effectiveness obtained a score of 54 in the control class and 71 in the experimental class, which means that learning outcomes using digital comic media are more effective. So it can be concluded that digital comics are feasible to be used as teaching materials. Key words: Development, Digital Comics, Environmental Pollution   Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan media komik digital pada materi pencemaran lingkungan untuk siswa kelas X SMA, serta persepsi siswa terhadap media tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pengembangan model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar angket dan soal pilihan ganda. Instrument yang digunakan berupa lembar angket validasi untuk mengetahui kelayakan media, angket respon guru dan siswa untuk mengetahui kemenarikan media dan soal pilihan ganda untuk mengetahui efektifitas media. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian dan pengembangan yaitu kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil validasi terhadap pengembangan media komik digital oleh ahli materi sebanyak dua kali dan ahli media sebanyak satu kali media dinyatakan valid dan dapat diujicobakan, sedangkan hasil respon guru diperoleh persentase 94% dalam kategori sangat baik, hasil respon siswa dalam ujicoba kelompok kecil diperoleh persentase 93% dalam kategori sangat baik, hasil respon siswa dalam ujicoba kelompok besar diperoleh persentase 87% dalam kategori sangat baik dan hasil ujicoba lapangan atau efektifitas diperoleh skor 54 pada kelas kontrol dan 71 pada kelas eksperimen yang berarti hasil belajar dengan menggunakan media komik digital lebih  efektif. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa komik digital layak untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar. Kata kunci: Pengembangan, Komik digital, Pencemaran lingkungan
