Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine prospective biology teachers’ perceptions and attitudes towards Instagram as a potential edutainment tool in biology learning. The study involved 87 prospective biology teachers from 4 public universities in Indonesia. Participants answered 15 closed questions and three open questions. Then data were analysed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results demonstrated that prospective biology teachers had highly positive perceptions of Instagram as an edutainment tool in biology learning. Respondents strongly agree that Instagram is easier to use than other learning platforms to create and upload learning content. Prospective biology teachers’ attitudes show that they agree to use Instagram as an edutainment tool in biology learning. The use of Instagram also has the potential to increase motivation, interaction, and creativity and is enjoyable in learning biology. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji persepsi dan sikap calon guru biologi terhadap Instagram sebagai sarana edutainment yang potensial dalam pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 87 calon guru biologi dari 4 perguruan tinggi negeri di Indonesia. Partisipan menjawab 15 pertanyaan tertutup dan tiga pertanyaan terbuka. Kemudian data dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa calon guru biologi memiliki persepsi yang sangat positif terhadap Instagram sebagai sarana edutainment dalam pembelajaran biologi. Responden sangat setuju bahwa Instagram lebih mudah digunakan dibandingkan platform pembelajaran lain untuk membuat dan mengunggah konten pembelajaran. Sikap calon guru biologi menunjukkan bahwa mereka setuju untuk menggunakan Instagram sebagai sarana edutainment dalam pembelajaran biologi. Penggunaan Instagram juga berpotensi untuk meningkatkan motivasi, interaksi, dan kreativitas serta menyenangkan dalam pembelajaran biologi. Abstract

The condition of the Bukit Tigapuluh National Park, which is directly adjacent to agricultural land and residential areas of the Lubuk Mandarsah Village community as well as the existence of a concession permit causes a high potential for conflict between Sumatran elephants and the community. The decline in biodiversity due to overexploitation of natural resources, the conversion of company land around the Bukit Tigapuluh National Park has a negative impact on the conservation of Sumatran elephants and the survival of the people living around the buffer area of ​​the Bukit Tigapuluh National Park. With this problem, it will certainly cause conflict between humans and Sumatran elephants. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge and perceptions of the community towards conflicts with Sumatran elephants. This research is research using mixed method or mix method, which combines qualitative and quantitative methods. Based on this research, it was found that the level of community knowledge in the hamlet of Lubuk Mandarsah Village regarding Sumatran Elephants was classified as high (39-48) with a percentage of 82% and the perception of people in Lubuk Mandarsah Village regarding Sumatran elephants was classified as bad with a percentage of 78%. Kondisi Taman Nasionnal Bukit Tigapuluh yang berbatasan langsung dengan lahan pertanian dan pemukiman masyarakat Desa Lubuk Mandarsah  serta adanya perizinan konsesi menyebabkan tingginya potensi konflik gajah sumatera dengan masyarakat. Penurunan keanekaragaman hayati akibat eksploitasi sumber daya alam yang berlebihan, konversi lahan perusahaan sekitar Taman Nasional Bukit Tigapuluh menimbulkan dampak negatif terhadap konservasi gajah sumatera dan keberlangsungan hidup masyarakat yang hidup disekitar daerah penyangga Taman Nasional Bukit Tigapuluh. Dengan adanya permaslaahan ini tentu akan menimbulkan konflik antara manusia dan gajah sumatera. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengetahuan dan persepsi dari masyarakat terhadap konflik dengan gajah sumatera. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian menggunakan metode campuran atan mix method dimana mengkombinasikan metode Kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dihasilkan bahwa Tingkat Pengetahuan Masyarakat di dusun Desa Lubuk Mandarsah terkait Gajah Sumatera sudah tergolong Tinggi (39-48) dengan persentase sebesar 82 % dan persepsi masyarakat di Desa Lubuk Mandarsah terkait gajah sumatera masik tergolong tidak baik dengan persentase 78%.  Kata kunci: Pengetahuan, Persepsi, Masyarakat, Gajah Sumatera

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a guided inquiry-based animal anatomy physiology practicum module to complement the previous practicum module, and to become one that can provide information to practitioners, and can improve students' scientific work attitude in carrying out practicals. The formulation of the problem that can be taken is knowing the validity of the module and the readability of the practicum module. This research uses the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages, namely analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating. The results of the validation of the practicum module by experts to have a percentage of 83.84%, and the readability of the module by 85.20%, so it can be concluded that the guided inquiry-based animal anatomy and physiology practicum module are feasible to use and can be implemented according to students' scientific work. In conclusion, the guided inquiry-based animal anatomy and physiology practicum module can be used and implemented in practical activities in accordance with scientific work principles. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah mengembangkan modul praktikum anatomi fisiologi hewan berbasis inquiry terbimbing untuk melengkapi modul praktikum sebelumnya, dan menjadi yang dapat memberikan informasi kepada praktikan, serta dapat meningkatkan sikap kerja ilmiah mahasiswa dalam pelaksanaan praktikum. Rumusan masalah yang dapat diambil yakni mengetahui validitas modul dan keterbacaanmodul praktikum,  Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri atas lima tahap, yaitu menganalisis, merancang, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil validasi modul praktikum oleh ahli memiliki persentase sebasar 83,84%, dan keterbacaan modul sebesar 85,20%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan modul praktikum anatomi fisiologi hewan berbasis inquiry terbimbing layak digunakan dan dapatdi implemetasikan sesuai kerja ilmiah mahasiswa. Kesimpulannya modul praktikum anatomi fisiologi hewan berbasis inquiry terbimbing dapat digunakan dan diimplementasi pada kegiatan praktikum sesuai dengan kaidah kerja ilmiah. Abstract

Observations show that the students' low critical thinking and communication skills are caused by passive learning activities - the low involvement of students - when learning. The low level of these skills has a low impact on learning outcomes as the quality of learning decreases. The project based learning model is one of the recommended learning models for 21st century learning because it is contextual and student-centered, thus making students more active. The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of the project based learning model on students' critical thinking and communication skills. The research method is a quasi experimental design (posttest only control group design). The instruments are essay questions to measure critical thinking skills and rubrics for assessing communication skills which are measured through presentations and project reports. Data analysis of students' critical thinking and communication skills between classes was carried out using a T-test to see the difference in variance of the two classes with different conditions. The results showed that the average value of critical thinking and communication skills of students who carried out learning using the project based learning model was higher than conventional learning. Data analysis shows that the model has a significant effect on students' critical thinking and communication skills. In conclusion, the project based learning model has an effect on students' critical thinking and communication skills. Key words: project, critical thinking, communication   Abstrak. Observasi menunjukkan rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kritis dan berkomunikasi peserta didik disebabkan oleh aktivitas belajar yang pasif, yaitu minimnya keterlibatan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Rendahnya keterampilan-keterampilan tersebut berdampak terhadap hasil belajar yang ikut rendah seiring menurunnya kualitas pembelajaran. Model project based learning merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang direkomendasikan untuk pembelajaran abad-21 karena bersifat kontekstual dan berpusat pada peserta didik, sehingga membuat peserta didik lebih aktif. Tujuan penelitian adalah menguji pengaruh model project based learning terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan berkomunikasi peserta didik. Metode penelitian adalah quasi experimental design (posttest only control group design). Instrumen berupa soal essay untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis dan rubrik penilaian keterampilan berkomunikasi yang diukur melalui presentasi dan laporan proyek. Analisis data keterampilan berpikir kritis dan berkomunikasi peserta didik antarkelas dilakukan dengan uji-T untuk melihat perbedaan varian dari dua kelas dengan kondisi berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai keterampilan berpikir kritis dan berkomunikasi peserta didik yang melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan model project based learning lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran secara konvensional. Analisis data menunjukkan  model tersebut berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan berkomunikasi peserta didik. Disimpulkan bahwa model project based learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan berkomunikasi peserta didik. Kata kunci: proyek, berpikir kritis, berkomunikasi

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive multimedia-based learning media using 3D Pageflip Professional. The developed media discuss material about determining the sex of insects, this research belongs to the Research and Development (R & D) type using the ADDIE method. The research was conducted at SMA N 10 Jambi City in September 2021. The research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires via google form to students and teachers of biology subjects. Data analysis techniques were carried out qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of validation by material experts and media experts stated that this media was categorized as "very good". The test results on students (small groups and large groups) and teachers, stated that interactive multimedia-based learning media using 3D Pageflip Professional was categorized as "very good". Based on this, it can be concluded that the product is feasible to be used as a learning medium. Penelitian ini berutujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia interaktif menggunakan 3D Pageflip Professional. Media yang dikembangkan membahas materi tentang penentuan jenis kelamin serangga, penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis  Research and Development ( R & D ) menggunakan metode ADDIE. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA N 10 Kota Jambi pada September 2021. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menyebarkan angket melalui google form kepada siswa dan guru mata pelajaran biologi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media menyatakan bahwa media ini terkategori “sangat baik”. Hasil uji coba kepada siswa (kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar) dan guru, menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia interaktif menggunakan 3D Pageflip Professional terkategori “sangat baik”. Berdasarkan hal itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Abstract

The RANDAI learning model is one of the learning models that can be used in biology learning. This model can be applied by using learning media that supports the implementation of the syntax of the learning model, one of which is in the form of a digital book. This study aims to produce an Integrated RANDAI-Based Digital Book on Local Potential on Biodiversity Materials for Class X SMA/MA. This research is a research and development research using the Plomp development model. The subjects in this study were 3 biology lecturers, 1 biology teacher and 31 students. The data obtained in this study are in the form of validity and practicality data. This study resulted in a very valid and practical RANDAI-Based Digital Book Based on Local Potential on Biodiversity Materials for Class X SMA/MA with a validity value of 92.53% meeting the very valid criteria and the practicality value by the teacher with a value of 91.91% meeting the very criteria. practicality and practicality scores by students with a value of 86.93% meet the practical criteria. Key words: Digital Books, RANDAI Learning Model   Abstrak. Model pembelajaran RANDAI adalah salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi. Model ini dapat diterapkan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang mendukung pelaksanaan sintaks dari model pembelajaran tersebut, salah satunya dalam bentuk buku digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Buku Digital Berbasis RANDAI Terintegrasi Potensi Lokal pada Materi Keanekaragaman Hayati untuk Kelas X SMA/MA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 orang dosen Biologi, 1 orang guru biologi dan 31 orang peserta didik. Data yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini berupa data validitas dan praktikalitas.  Penelitian ini menghasilkan Buku Digital Berbasis RANDAI Terintegrasi Potensi Lokal pada Materi Keanekaragaman Hayati untuk Kelas X SMA/MA yang sangat valid dan praktis dengan nilai validitas 92,53% memenuhi kriteria sangat valid dan nilai praktikalitas oleh guru dengan nilai 91,91% memenuhi kriteria sangat praktis dan nilai praktikalitas oleh peserta didik dengan nilai 86,93% memenuhi kriteria praktis. Abstract

Scientific literacy is related to the ability of students to understand the process of the occurrence of science. In order to make it easier for students to improve scientific literacy skills, a media in learning is needed. Powtoon is an interesting application that can improve students' scientific literacy skills. The purpose of this research is to produce audio-visual learning media containing scientific literacy using the Powtoon application on biodiversity material for class X high school students. This research is research and development with the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) model. The research subjects were two lecturers from the Biology department, FMIPA UNP, one Biology teacher at the UNP Laboratory Development High School, and 32 students from class X MIA 1 SMA UNP Laboratory Development. The data obtained in this study are in the form of validity and practicality data. This research produces an Audio-visual Learning Media with Science Literacy Using Powtoon Application on Biodiversity Materials that is valid and practical. Agar memudahkan peserta didik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains diperlukan sebuah media dalam pembalajaran. Powtoon merupakan aplikasi menarik yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan media pembelajaran audio-visual bermuatan literasi sains menggunakan aplikasi powtoon  tentang materi keanekaragaman hayati untuk peserta didik kelas X SMA. Abstract

The ability of teachers to manage the class is one of the factors that determine the success of students in obtaining high learning outcomes. A teacher who is not interactive in using methods and learning models that are in accordance with class conditions will cause students to feel bored following the lesson. In addition to using good methods and learning models, teachers are also required to be able to use technology in the learning process. The use of technology is one of the supporters of the online learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of google classroom learning media on student learning outcomes at SMAN 2 Bantaeng. The research method used pre-experiment with One-Group Pretest Posttest Design. The population was all students of class XI IPA SMAN 2 Bantaeng in the odd semester 2021-2022 academic year. Sampling technique was simple random sampling with class XI IPA 2 as samples, totaling 23 students. The instrument in this study was ten essay questions that given before and after treatment. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of data analysis obtained the paired sample t-test, namely the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, which means H0 rejected and H1 accepted. Based on the result, it can be concluded that there was an influence of google classroom learning media on student learning outcomes at SMAN 2 Bantaeng. Kemampuan guru dalam mengelola kelas merupakan salah satu faktor yang menentukan keberhasilan siswa dalam memperoleh hasil belajar yang tinggi. Seorang guru yang tidak interaktif dalam menggunakan metode serta model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kondisi kelas akan menyebabkan siswa merasa bosan mengikuti pembelajaran. Selain penggunaan metode serta model pembelajaran yang baik, guru juga dituntut untuk mampu menggunakan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran. Penggunaan teknologi merupakan salah satu pendukung terlaksananya proses pembelajaran secara daring. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran google classroom terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMAN 2 Bantaeng. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre-ekperimen dengan desain One-Group Pretest Posttest Design. Populasi seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 2 Bantaeng pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021-2022. Teknik pemilihan sampel yaitu simple random sampling dengan sampel terpilih yaitu kelas XI IPA 2 yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Instrument dalam penelitian ini berupa 10 nomor soal essay yang diberikan sebelum dan setelah perlakuan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh melalui uji paired sample t-test yaitu nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Abstract

This research is motivated by the low scientific literacy skills in Indonesia based on the results of the 2015 PISA survey and the limitations of teachers in measuring students' scientific literacy skills so that they have not been developed optimally. The purpose of this study is to develop and determine the level of feasibility of the Two-Tier Multiple Choice test evaluation instrument based on scientific literacy on the theme of acid rain. The research method used is the research and development method with the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate) which in the development process is only at the Analyze, Design, Development, and Evaluate stages. The results of research and development in the form of a Two-Tier Multiple Choice test evaluation instrument based on scientific literacy on the theme of acid rain indicate that the product developed is very feasible based on assessments by material experts, evaluation experts, and three teachers with a total of 40 questions and gets a score the average is 97% based on material experts, 96% based on evaluation experts, 98% based on science teachers 1, 78% based on science teachers 2, and 99.8% based on science teachers 3. very feasible category with the overall average score of the validation has a percentage of 95%. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains di Indonesia berdasarkan hasil survey PISA tahun 2015 dan keterbatasan guru dalam mengukur kemampuan literasi sains siwa sehingga belum dikembangkan secara optimal. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan serta mengetahui tingkat kelayakan instrumen evaluasi tes Two-Tier Multiple Choice berbasis literasi sains pada tema hujan asam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate) yang dalam proses pengembangannya hanya pada tahapan Analyze, Design, Development, dan Evaluate. Hasil dari penelitian dan pengembangan berupa instrumen evaluasi tes Two-Tier Multiple Choice berbasis literasi sains pada tema hujan asam menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan sangat layak berdasarkan penilaian oleh ahli materi, ahli evaluasi, dan tiga guru dengan jumlah soal sebanyak 40 butir soal dan mendapat skor rata-rata yaitu 97% berdasarkan ahli materi, 96% berdasarkan ahli evaluasi, 98% berdasarkan guru IPA 1, 78% berdasarkan guru IPA 2, dan 99,8% berdasarkan guru IPA 3. Kesimpulannya, dari 40 soal yang dikembangkan keseluruhan berada dalam kategori sangat layak dengan skor rata-rata keseluruhan validasi memiliki persentase sebesar 95%. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using macromedia flash in the distance lectures for students of the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP University of Riau in 2021. This media application was applied to learning low-level plant systematics (STR) courses. The research was conducted at the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP Riau University, in the even semester of 2021. The object of the research was 35 students of Class A lectures on low-level plant systematics. The research was conducted using the classroom action method, namely applying macromedia flash learning media. The lecture period is divided into 2 rounds where the first round is learning without using macromedia flash media and the second round using macromedia flash. The indicators set in the form of student learning outcomes during lectures and student responses to the use of macromedia flash. The conclusion of the study is that the use of macromedia flash can improve student learning outcomes with an effectiveness ratio of 83% and is considered effective in terms of learning outcomes. Student responses to the application of macromedia flash media are classified as good with a percentage of 79.91%. Key words: Macromedia flash, Low Plant Systematics, Effectiveness   Abstrak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas Penggunaan macromedia flash pada perkuliahan jarak jauh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan biologi FKIP Univeristas Riau tahun 2021. Aplikasi media ini diterapkan pada pembelajaran mata kuliah sistematika tumbuhan tingkat rendah (STR). Penelitian dilakukan di program studi pendidikan biologi FKIP Universitas Riau pada semester genap tahun 2021. Objek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Kelas A oerkuliahan sistematika tumbuhan tingkat rendah sebanyak 35 orang. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode tindakan kelas yaitu menerapkan media pembelajaran macromedia flash. Masa perkuliahan dibagi dalam 2 putaran dimana putaran pertama adalah pembelajaran tanpa penggunaan media macromedia flash dan putaran kedua dengan menggunakan macromedia flash. Indikator yang ditetapkan berupa hasil belajar mahasiswa selama perkuliahan serta respon mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan macromedia flash.. Kesimpulan dari Penelitian diketahui  bahwa penggunaan macromedia flash dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan rasio efektivitas 83% dan tergolong efektif dari segi hasil pembelajaran. Respon mahasiswa terhadap penerapan media macromedia flash tergolong baik dengan presentase 79.91%. Kata kunci: Macromedia flash, Sistematika Tumbuhan Rendah, Efektivitas
