Abstract

This study aims to find out what habits of mind profile students form in plant physiology lectures. This type of research is descriptive research with qualitative methods. This research was conducted at the Biology Study Program, FST UNJA. The research subjects are Biology Study Program students who take Plant Physiology courses. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained through interview instruments, questionnaires, observations, and documentation using the data triangulation method, namely technical triangulation. The research instruments in the form of questionnaires, interviews and observations were adopted from Costa and Kallick which consisted of 16 categories of habits of mind (hom). Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The conclusion of this study is that the overall habit of mind of students in the plant physiology course of the Biology Study Program, FST UNJA is in the very strong category, where 56.25% of the criteria from 16 categories have strong criteria and 43.75% have sufficient criteria. The highest percentage is obtained on 2 indicators, namely: the ability to not lie and think flexible does not mean undisciplined but not rigid at a percentage of 79% and the lowest is in the indicator responding with awe (Responding with wonderment and awe) at a percentage of 48%. Key words: Habits of Mind, Plant Physiology, Student   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa saja profil habits of mind mahasiswa yang terbentuk dalam kegiatan perkuliahan fisiologi tumbuhan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan metode kualitatif. Pedelitian ini dilakukan di Prodi Biologi FST UNJA. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Prodi Biologi yang mengikuti mata kuliah Fisiologi Tumbuhan. Pengambilan sample dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui instrumen wawancara, angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan menggunakan metode triangulasi data yaitu triangulasi teknik. Instrument penelitian berupa angket, wawancara dan observasi diadopsi dari Costa dan Kallick yang terdiri dari 16 kategori habits of mind (hom). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu secara keseluruhan habit of mind mahasiswa pada mata kuliah fisiologi tumbuhan Prodi Biologi FST UNJA berada pada kategori sangat kuat, di mana 56,25% kriteria dari 16 kategori memiliki kriteria kuat dan 43,75% memiliki kriteria cukup. Persentasi paling tinggi didapat pada 2 indikator yaitu: kemampuan tidak berbohong dan Berfikir fleksibel bukan berarti tidak disiplin melainkan tidak kaku pada persentase 79% dan yang paling rendah terdapat pada indicator menanggapi dengan rasa kekaguman (Responding with wonderment and awe) pada persentase 48%.  Kata kunci: Habits of Mind, Fisiologi Tumbuhan, Mahasiswa

Abstract

The aims of this study is to determine the analysis of the TPS learning model on the visual representation ability of biology students. This research used a Quasi Experiment method. The experimental class of this research that was given treatment used the TPS learning model and the control class of this research used the Discovery Learning learning model. In this research, the sampling technique was randomized class, the samples were used in class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2. The data collection techniques were used tests and observation sheet visual representation ability . The instruments used visual representation ability essay questions. The results in this research can be found in hypothesis testing by using test ANOVA, The results obtained with Facount= 27,046 dan Fatable= 4,001, the result is Facount>Fatable, it can be concluded that there is an influence in analyzing the TPS to visual representation ability. Key words: TPS, Visual Representation Ability, Biology Students   ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui analisis model pembelajaran TPS terhadap kemampuan representasi visual peserta didik biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimen. Pada kelas eksperimen di penelitian ini  diberikan perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran TPS dan kelas kontrolnya menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Pada penelitian ini, teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara acak kelas, sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 2. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan soal uraian  kemampuan representasi visual, lembar observasi kemampuan representasi visual. Hasil pada penelitian ini diperoleh berdasarkan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji ANOVA, diperoleh Fahitung= 27,046 dan Fatabel 4,001, terlihat bahwa Fa hitung>Fatabel, oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran TPS terhadap kemampuan representasi visual. Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of digital books of endangered birds according to the IUCN Red List at PASTY as a high school biology learning resource based on assessments by media experts, material experts, and biology teachers. In this study, the digital book compilation model was adapted from the 4D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). which is limited to development. The instrument used is a Likert scale assessment questionnaire sheet with scales 1-4. Product validation was carried out by media experts, namely a Biology Education lecturer, Ahmad Dahlan University, an ornithologist from the Science for Endangered and Trafficked Species (SCENTS) Foundation as a material expert , a class X biology teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Seyegan. The results of the product assessment were then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the digital book compiled had very good quality based on assessments by media experts, material experts, and biology teachers. Key words: Learning Resources, Digital Books   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas buku digital burung terancam menurut IUCN Red List di PASTY sebagai sumber belajar biologi SMA berdasarkan penilaian oleh ahli media, ahli materi, dan guru Biologi. Pada penelitian ini model penyusunan buku digital diadaptasi dari model pengembangan 4D (define, design, develop, dan dissemination) yang dibatasi sampai dengan tahap develop. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar angket penilaian skala Likert dengan skala 1-4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku digital yang disusun memiliki kualitas sangat baik berdasarkan penilaian oleh ahli media, ahli materi, dan guru Biologi. Abstract

The use of appropriate teaching materials is a very important factor to improve the ability of students to understand learning materials. Therefore, teaching materials are needed that are in accordance with the needs of students. The purpose of this study was to produce LKPD based on a scientific approach accompanied by critical thinking exercises on virus material for class X SMA/MA that were valid and practical. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE development model. At the development stage, validation is carried out by the validator. Meanwhile, at the implementation stage, the product was not tested, but only a practical questionnaire was given to teachers and students. The research instrument used is a validity questionnaire and a practicality questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, the resulting LKPD has very valid criteria with a validity value of 88.6% and the practicality value by teachers and students has very practical criteria with a practicality value of 95.8% and 95.3%. Thus, it can be concluded that the developed worksheets can be used in learning. Key words: Student Worksheet, Scientific Approach, Critical Thinking, Virus   ABSTRAK Penggunaan bahan ajar yang tepat merupakan faktor yang sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Maka dari itu, dibutuhkan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan LKPD berbasis pendekatan saintifik disertai latihan berpikir kritis pada materi virus kelas X SMA/MA yang valid dan praktis. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Pada tahap development dilakukan validasi oleh validator. Sedangkan pada tahap implementation produk tidak diujikan, melainkan hanya diberikan angket praktikalitas pada guru dan peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu angket validitas dan angket praktikalitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, LKPD yang dihasilkan memiliki kriteria sangat valid dengan nilai validitas 88.6% dan nilai praktikalitas oleh guru dan peserta didik memiliki kriteria sangat praktis dengan nilai praktikalitas 95.8% dan 95.3%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan sudah dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik, Pendekatan Saintifik, Berpikir Kritis, Virus

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the availability of the Science Process Skills (SPS) component in a seventh grade science textbook for junior high school students with a global warming topic. The aspects of SPS analyzed are observing, classifying, interpreting, asking questions, using tools and materials, applying concepts and communicating.  This is a descriptive study that makes use of the documentation analysis method  to describe the emergence of SPS indicators for each sub-material which is summarized in the theme of global warming in science textbooks.  The objects of this research are science textbooks published by the Ministry of Education and Culture and science textbooks published by Erlangga.  In this study, documentation approaches were used to obtain data.  The instrument used in this study was asheet instrument checklist.  Descriptive statistics are used to analyze research data by computing the number of components of the analysis according to the SPS aspect. The findings of the study of the formation of the SPS component in science textbooks, the emergence of the SPS aspect that dominates is in Book 1 of the Kemendikbud publisher with a percentage level of 75% in the Appropriate category.  Meanwhile, Book 2 was published by Erlangga, with a percentage rate of 54% appearing in the SPS aspect with a fairly appropriate category.  Based on this, Book 1 publisher of the Ministry of Education and Culture is more supportive in developing students' Science Process Skills (SPS). Keywords: Science Process Skills (SPS), Class VII Junior High School Science Textbook, Global Warming   ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan gambaran ketersediaan aspek Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) dalam buku teks pelajaran IPA SMP kelas VII tema pemanasan global.  Aspek KPS yang dianalisis adalah aspek mengamati, mengelompokkan, menafsirkan, mengajukan pertanyaan, menggunakan alat dan bahan, menerapkan konsep dan berkomunikasi.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis dokumentasi untuk menggambarkan kemunculan indikator KPS setiap sub materi yang terangkum dalam tema pemanasan global dalam buku teks IPA.  Objek penelitian ini adalah buku teks IPA terbitan Kemendikbud dan buku teks IPA terbitan Erlangga.  Dalam penelitian ini, pendekatan dokumentasi digunakan untuk memperoleh data. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen lembar checklist. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan menghitung jumlah komponen analisis sesuai dengan aspek KPS.  Hasil analisis kemunculan aspek KPS pada buku teks IPA yang dianalisis, kemunculan aspek KPS yang mendominasi yaitu pada Buku 1 penerbit Kemendikbud dengan tingkat persentase sebesar 75% dengan kategori Sesuai.  Sedangkan Buku 2 penerbit Erlangga dengan tingkat persentase kemunculan aspek KPS sebesar 54% dengan kategori cukup sesuai.  Berdasarkan hal tersebut, Buku 1 penerbit Kemendikbud lebih menunjang dalam mengembangkan Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) siswa. Abstract

The COVID19 pandemic has resulted in learning loss in students. The problem of learning loss is a concern and there is a need for learning recovery. This study aims to innovate through information technology in the discovery learning model assisted by the iNaturalist application. The research method used is systematic review by collecting evidence to answer the specified research questions. Data collection in this study by reviewing articles in the Google Scholar, SINTA, Scopus databases and books related to keyword model discovery learning and the iNatularist application in English or Indonesian published in 2017 to 2022. The results showed that the innovation of the discovery learning model assisted by the iNaturalist application can be implemented in learning as a way to recover learning after the pandemic. Key words: COVID-19 Pandemic, Learning Innovation, Learning Loss, Discovey Learning,  iNaturalist ABSTRAK Pandemi COVID19 yang terjadi mengakibatkan learning loss pada peserta didik. Permasalahan kehilangan pembelajaran (learning loss)  menjadi perhatian dan perlu adanya pemulihan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan inovasi melalui teknologi informasi pada model discovery learning berbantuan aplikasi iNaturalist. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah systematic review dengan menggumpulkan bukti untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian yang ditentukan. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dengan mereview artikel pada database Google Scholar, SINTA, Scopus dan buku  terkait keyword model discovery learning dan aplikasi iNatularistdalam Bahasa Inggris atau Bahasa Indonesia yang terbit pada tahun 2017 hingga 2022. Abstract

The results of the initial observations showed that the low science process skills of students were caused because students were rarely involved in learning activities. The low science process skills of students in low student learning outcomes. The 21st century learning model that is recommended to be used in the 2013 curriculum that can be applied in improving students' science process skills is a project-based learning model. This study aims to analyze the science process skills of class VIII A students of SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi in science learning by applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results showed that the science process skills of grade VIII A students of SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi improved after the project-based learning model was applied. It is concluded that the project-based learning model can improve students' science process skills. Keywords: Science Process Skills, PjBL, SMP ABSTRAK Observasi  pendahuluan menunjukkan rendahnya  keterampilan proses sains peserta didik disebabkan karena peserta didik jarang dilibatkan  dalam aktivitas pembelajaran. Rendahnya KPS peserta didik mengakibatkan hasil belajar peserta didik ikut rendah. Model pembelajaran abad 21 yang direkomendasikan penggunaannya dalam kurikulum 2013 yang dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik adalah model project based learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VIII A SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi pada pembelajaran IPA  dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project based Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VIII A SMPN 30 Muaro Jambi  meningkat setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran project based learning.Disimpulkan bahwa model project based learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik. Abstract

The pandemic of Covid-19 has caused the diversion of online learning which has an effect on practicum activities, especially in the vascular plant botany. The aims  of this research are (1) to apply the design of vascular plant botany practicum activities in limited face-to-face learning through hybrid learning, and (2) to determine students' digital literacy skills through hybrid learning. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive methods. In this study, it will be described how the application of hybrid learning in vascular plant botany practicum activities that can support students' digital literacy skills. The results illustrate that there are three stages of learning in hybrid learning practicum activities, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the presentation stage. In this regard. Students' digital literacy skills are categorized as high on the indicators of Ability to operate/access media and the ability to obtain information, but are categorized as moderate on the ability to communicate through digital media. Thus, hybrid learning practicum learning designs can be implemented in limited face-to-face learning and can also support students' digital literacy skills as prospective teachers to prepare students as prospective teachers in digital learning in the 4.0 era. Key words: Hybrid Learning, Practicum, Plant, Digital Literacy   ABSTRAK Adanya pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan pengalihan pembelajaran daring yang berpengaruh pada kegiatan praktikum mahasiswa khususnya pada mata kuliah botani tumbuhan berpembuluh. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini, yaitu (1) menerapkan desain kegiatan praktikum botani tumbuhan perbembuluh dalam pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas melalui hybrid learning, dan (2) mengetahui kemampuan literasi digital mahasiswa melalui hybrid learning.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pada penelitian ini akan digambarkan bagaimana penerapan hybrid learning pada kegiatan praktikum botani tumbuhan berpembuluh yang dapat mendukung kemampuan literasi digital mahasiswa  Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa terdapat tiga tahapan pembelajaran pada kegiatan praktikum secara hybrid learning, yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap presentasi. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut. Kemampuan literasi digital mahasiswa terkategori tinggi pada indikator Kemampuan mengoperasikan/ mengakses media dan kemampuan memperoleh informasi, namun terkategori sedang pada kemampuan berkomunikasi melalui media digital. Dengan demikian, desain pembelajaran praktikum secara hybrid learning dapat dilaksanakan pada pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas dan juga dapat menunjang kemampuan literasi digital mahasiswa sebagai calon guru untuk mempersiapkan mahasiswa sebagai calon guru pada pembelajaran digital di era 4.0. Abstract

In 21st century skills, one of the important aspects for students is critical thinking. Aspects of critical thinking can help students to solve a problem. One of the learning media that can improve students' critical thinking skills is LKPD. The worksheets used are STEM-based. This research was conducted to determine the effect of implementing STEM-based worksheets on students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is a literature study method from several journals and articles searched on Google Scholar. There were 10 articles that were observed. The results showed that the application of STEM-based LKPD had an effect on students' KBK. Key words: LKPD, STEM, Critical Thinking ABSTRAK Pada keterampilan abad 21 salah satu aspek yang penting bagi peserta didik adalah berpikir kritis. Aspek berpikir kritis dapat membantu peserta didik untuk memecahkan suatu masalah. Salah satu media pembelajaran  yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik adalah LKPD. LKPD yang digunakan berbasis STEM. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan LKPD berbasis STEM terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode study literature dari beberapa jurnal dan artikel yang dicari di google scholar. Artikel yang diamati tersebut ada 10 artikel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan LKPD berbasis STEM berpengaruh terhadap KBK peserta didik. Kata kunci: LKPD, STEM, Berpikir Kritis

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the design of laboratory activities (LKS) based on Vee diagrams on alcoholic fermentation respiration materials used in SMA/MA and then reconstruct them. This research method is descriptive qualitative with sampling carried out by purposive sampling by purposive sampling as many as 3 worksheet which refers to the 2013 curriculum. These results can be seen that the LKS on the alcohol fermentation material analyzed still cannot be used as a guide for practicum because it does not support aspects of competence and knowledge construction. Key words: Practicum, Alcoholic Fermentation, Volumetric Gasometer, Reaction   Rate ASBTRAK Penelitian yang dilakukan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis desain kegiatan laboratorium (LKS) berbasis diagram Vee pada materi respirasi fermentasi alcohol yang digunakan di SMA/MA untuk kemudian merekonstruksinya. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling menggunakan sebanyak 3 buah LKS yang mengacu pada   kurikulum 2013. Hasil tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa LKS pada materi fermentasi alcohol yang dianalisis masih tidak dapat digunakan sebagai pedoman untuk kegiatan praktikum karena tidak menunjang aspek kompetensi dan kosntruksi pengetauan.
