Abstract

Hampir seluruh aspek kehidupan manusia saat ini tidak dapat dilepaskan dari teknologi, khususnya teknologi komputer. Revolusi Teknologi Informasi(TI) ikut mengubah perilaku masyarakat modern yang mencoba masuk dan menghirup atmosfer sebuah kebudayaan baru, suatu kecenderungan terciptanya “masyarakat tanpa kertas”. Untuk menuliskan suatu dokumen, orang cenderung sudah meninggalkan mesin ketik manual dan sudah digantikan perannya oleh komputer. Selain itu pengarsipan data sudah mulai meninggalkan kertas, dan menyimpannya dalam media penyimpanan seperti disket, CD, hardisk dan sebagainya. Banyaknya kejadian seperti kerusuhan, bencana alam yang terjadi misalnya gempa bumi, banjir yang menghancurkan gedung-gedung perkantoran yang sekaligus menghancurkan komputer beserta data-data didalamnya, telah memunculkan alternatif penyimpanan data dengan memanfaatkan TI,  yaitu dengan metode penyimpanan data di server, yang back-upnya bisa dibuat dalam beberapa versi dan bisa dilindungi dengan sistem keamanan berlapis.    Beberapa cara yang dapat digunakan diantaranya adalah dengan memanfaatkan fasilitas email dan menggunakan layanan perusahaan penyedia internet service storage. Perusahaan penyedia layanan bertugas menyimpan dan membackup data yang dikirimkan pada server mereka, dengan demikian data yang tersimpan dapat diambil, diakses kembali kapanpun dan dimanapun berada selama masih terhubung ke internet.    Perlu diingat bahwa keamanan data di email tidaklah 100% terjamin dan selalu ada resiko terbuka untuk umum, dalam artian semua isinya dapat dibaca oleh orang lain. Hal ini disebabkan oleh karena data itu akan melewati banyak server sebelum sampai di tujuan. Tidak tertutup kemungkinan ada orang yang menyadap data yang dikirimkan tersebut.  Untuk itu data dapat diamankan dengan melakukan teknik pengacakan atau enkripsi. Begitu juga pada  internet service storage, meskipun penyedia layanan sudah melakukan pengamanan dengan secure http (https), tak ada salahnya apabila dilakukan pengamanan sendiri terhadap data dengan cara dienkripsi.Kata kunci : email, internet service storage

Abstract

Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan Pendekatan Saintifik, mendeskripsikan keefektifan Pendekatan PMRI, dan mendeskripsikan manakah yang lebih efektif diantara Saintifik dan PMRI ditinjau dari prestasi, minat, dan percaya diri. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Babadan Ponorogo Jawa Timur Indonesia dan secara acak terpilih kelas VIIB dan VIIC sebagai sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes dan non-tes, dengan instrumen meliputi soal tes prestasi, angket minat dan percaya diri. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dan Hotelling’s Trace. Hasil penelitian pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa Pendekatan Saintifik efektif ditinjau dari prestasi, minat, dan percaya diri. Pendekatan PMRI efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan percaya diri, tetapi tidak efektif ditinjau dari minat. Saintifik dan PMRI sama-sama efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan percaya diri, akan tetapi ditinjau dari minat Saintifik lebih unggul daripada PMRI.Kata kunci: pendekatan Saintifik, pendekatan PMRI, prestasi, minat, percaya diri The Comparison of the Effectiveness of Scientific and PMRI Approaches Based on the Achievement, Interest, and Self-Confidence of Students of Grade VII AbstractThis quasi-experimental research aims to describe the effectiveness of Scientific Approach, describe the effectiveness of PMRI approach, and describe which is more effective between of Scientific and PMRI Approaches in terms of the achievement, interest, and self-confidence. The population in this research were students of class VII SMPN 2 Babadan Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia, and randomly selected VIIB and VIIC classes as a sample. The data collection techniques were a test and non-test, the instrument covers about mathematics achievement tests, questionnaires for students’ interest and self-confidence. The data were analysed using the t test and the Hotelling's Trace test. The results show that at the significance level of 0.05 the Scientific Approach is effective in terms of students’ achievement, interest, and self-confidence, while the PMRI Approach is effective in terms of learning achievement and self-confidence, but it is not effective in terms of interest. The Scientific and PMRI Approaches are equally effective in terms of learning achievement and self-confidence, but in terms of interest the Scientific Approach is superior to the PMRI Approach.Keywords: Scientific Approach, PMRI Approach, mathematics achievement, interest, self-confidence

Abstract

The structural equation modeling is a part of statistics which can be used to analyze relation which is developed through one or more dependent variable which is explained by one or more independent variable, and at the same time one or more independent variable acts as an independent variable for the other dependent variable. In the covariance structure based structural equation modeling the analysis which is frequently used is the Linear Structure Relationship (LISREL) analysis. The aim of this study is to learn the accuracy and consistence of the estimated values of parameters of structural equation model using LISREL analysis. The difference between one path coefficient and another shows the difference of closeness level of the relationship between the independent variables and the latent variables in an expected block.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) keefektifan pendekatan problem solving terhadap kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis; 2) keefektifan pendekatan problem posing terhadap kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis; 3) perbandingan keefektifan antara pendekatan pembelajaran problem solving dan problem posing terhadap kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis siswa SMP pada pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi datar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Data dianalisis menggunakan one sample t test, uji MANOVA rumus T2 Hotteling, dan uji t kriteria Bonferroni. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pendekatan problem solving  efektif terhadap kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis; 2) pendekatan problem posing efektif terhadap kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis; 3) pendekatan problem solving lebih efektif dibandingkan problem solving terhadap kemampuan pemahaman matematis tetapi pendekatan problem solving tidak lebih efektif dibandingkatn problem posingterhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMP pada pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi datar.Kata kunci: pendekatan problem solving, pendekatan problem posing, kemampuan pemahaman matematis, dan kemampuan penalaran matematis. The effectiveness comparison of problem solving and problem posing approaches in mathematics learning towards junior high school students AbstractThe aim of this study is to describe: 1) the effectiveness of problem solving approach on mathematical understanding and reasoning ability; 2) the effectiveness of problem posing approach on mathematical understanding and reasoning ability; 3) the comparison effectiveness of polyhedral learning using problem solving approach and problem posing approach on mathematical understanding and reasoning ability of State Junior High School. This study was a quasi experiment. The data were analyzed using one-sample t test, MANOVA test with T2 Hotteling's formula, and t-test with Bonferroni criterion. The results of the study show that: 1) the problem solving approach has an effect on mathematical understanding and reasoning ability; 2) the problem posing approach has an effect on mathematical understanding and reasoning ability; and 3) the problem solving approach is more effective than the problem posing approach on mathematical understanding ability, but the problem solving approach is not more effective in polyhedral learning than the problem posing approach on mathematical reasoning ability of State Junior High.Keywords: problem solving approach, problem posing approach, mathematical understanding ability, and mathematical reasoning ability

Abstract

This paper is a partial result of our researchs in the main topic "On The McShane Integral for Riesz-Spaces-valued Functions Defined on the space ". We have constructed McShane integral for Riesz-spaces-valued functions defined on the space by a technique involving double sequences and proved some basic properties which coincides with the McShane Integral for Banach-spaces valued functions defined on real line. Further, we construct some convergence theorems involving uniformly convergence theorems, monotone convergence theorems and Fatous lemma in the sense of this integral.Keywords : Riesz Space, McShane Integral

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan model asesmen pembelajaran matematika SMA yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013 yang layak, yaitu valid, reliabel, dan praktis. Model asesmen yang dikembangkan terdiri dari instrumen asesmen untuk mengukur Kompetensi Inti 1 (KI-1), Kompetensi Inti 2 (KI-2), Kompetensi Inti 3 (KI-3), dan Kompetensi Inti 4 (KI-4). Model pengembangan yang diterapkan adalah model Plomp, yang terdiri dari tahap penelitian awal, pengembangan, dan penilaian. Analisis kevalidan dilakukan dengan menggunakan indeks Aiken. Reliabilitas dilakukan dengan rumus Alpha dan KR-20. Analisis kepraktisan dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, model asesmen yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid untuk masing-masing angket, lembar observasi, dan tes. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa model asesmen yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria reliabel dan praktis. Model asesmen mencapai kriteria reliabel berdasarkan hasil tes dan angket. Model asesmen juga mencapai kriteria praktis untuk penilaian guru dan kriteria baik untuk penilaian siswa.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, model asesmen, pembelajaran matematika, Kurikulum 2013 Developing High School Mathematics Learning Assessment Model Based on Curriculum 2013 AbstractThe purpose of this research is to produce a model of high school mathematics learning assessment which is appropriate with Curriculum 2013, is valid, reliable, and practical. The assessment models developed consists of an assessment instrument to measure Core Competencies 1 (KI-1), Core Competence 2 (KI-2), Core Competencies 3 (KI-3), and Core Competence 4 (KI-4). The developing model in this research was Plomp model, which consists of preliminary research, development, dan assesment phase. Validity analysis was performed by using the index Aiken. Reliability test was performed with the formula Alpha and KR-20. The analysis at practicality was with descriptive analysis. The results of the validation show that the assessment models developed are valid based on the questionnaire, observation sheet and test. The results of the tryout show that assessment models are reliable and practical. The assessment models is reliable criteria based on the tests and questionnaires. The assessment model also is practical criteria based on the teacher’s assessment and good criteria for student’s assessment.

Abstract

This research is a study of Vector Calculus teaching material development that is designed toactivate all parts of students brain in learning process. The purpose of this research is to improve student’sunderstanding on mathematic subject. This teaching material development is based on Knisley’sMathematic Learning Model. The steps in this model of learning are exploration, elaboration, andconfirmation activities as guided in learning process standards.The research method adopted follows a series of research development developmental research)through thought experiments and instruction experimentation. The study begins with an in-depth studytheoretically develop the syllabus according to Vector Calculus curriculum structure and the distributionof subjects contained in the curriculum UPI 2010. The next step compile teaching materials presented inprint media which comes with interactive computer programs.Lectures by using teaching materials and student assignments that have been developed followingthe steps Knisley’s Mathematic Learning Model effective in improving student competence in vectorcalculus. Abstract

Penalaran matematis merupakan salah satu aspek penting yang sangat dibutuhkan peserta didik dalam mempelajari matematika. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik, salah satunya dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran dan kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching pada materi bangun datar segiempat di kelas VII. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 34 peserta didik kelas VII.5 yang berasal dari SMP Negeri 13 Palembang. Data dikum­pulkan menggunakan observasi dan tes. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah data hasil observasi kegiatan peserta didik pada saat diterapkan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching dan data hasil tes untuk melihat kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Reci­procal Teaching. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil pene­litian menun­jukkan bahwa (1) keaktifan peserta didik selama diterapkan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching berada pada kategori “sangat aktif” dengan persentase rata-rata 88,71%; (2) kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching berada pada kategori “cukup” dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 67,89.Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching, penalaran  matematis, pembelajaran matematika Applying of reciprocal teaching-learning model viewed from students’ mathematical reasoning on the quadrilateral matter AbstractThe mathematical reasoning was one of the important aspects that students need in learning mathematics. Various efforts have been made to improve students’ mathematical reasoning skills, one of which was the application of the Reciprocal Teaching learning model. This research was a quantitative descriptive research that aims to explain the process of learning implementation and student’s mathematical reasoning ability by using the Reciprocal Teaching learning model on the quadrilateral matter in class VII. The subjects of this research were 34 students of class VII.5 from SMP (Junior High School) Negeri 13 Palembang, South Sumatera, Indonesia. Data were collected using observations and tests. The data obtained in this research were the observation data of students activities when applied the Reciprocal Teaching learning model and the test results data to see students’ mathematical reasoning abilities after applying the Reciprocal Teaching learning model. The results of research showed that (1) student activity during applying the Reciprocal Teaching learning model was in the “very active” category with an average percentage of 88.71%; (2) students’ mathematical reasoning abilities after applying the Reciprocal Teaching learning model was in the “enough” category with an average score of 67.89.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan penemuan terbimbing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi matematis serta mendeskripsikan kualitas hasil pengembangan perangkat tersebut. Kualitas hasil pengembangan ditentukan berdasarkan pada kriteria dari Nieveen, yaitu valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan diadaptasi dari model Dick dan Carey. Adaptasi model Dick dan Carey menghasilkan 3 tahap pengembanan (define, design, dan develop). Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah 60 siswa kelas 8 SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. Instrumen yang digunakan antara lain lembar validasi, lembar penilaian dari guru dan siswa, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, serta tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi matematis. Analisis data kevalidan dan analisis data kepraktisan masing-masing dilakukan dengan cara mengkonversi data kuantitatif berupa skor hasil penilaian menjadi data kualitatif berupa nilai standar skala lima. Analisis data keefektifan tes ketercapaian kompetensi dilakukan dengan cara menentukan persentase ketuntasan minimal, sedangkan analisis tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi matematis ditentukan peningkatannya.  Hasil validasi ahli, penilaian dari guru dan siswa, observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, dan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan komunikasi matematis siswa memberikan bukti bahwa perangkat pembelajaran telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Developing instructional kits using the guided discovery to increase creative thinking and mathematical communication skills AbstractThis research is aimed to produced learning kits using guided discovery approach to increase the creative thinking and mathematical communication skills and to describe the quality of the result of the development. The quality of learning kits determined based on Nieveen’s criteria, those are valid, practical, and effective. This research is development research adapted from Dick, and Carey model. The modified of this model resulted 3 stages of development steps (define, design, and develop). The subjects of this study are 60 grade 8 students of Muhammadiyah Junior High School 3 of Yogyakarta. The research instruments were validation sheet, assessment sheets from teacher and students, learning observation sheet, and critical thinking and mathematical communication skills test. The validity and practicality data analysis were done by converting the actual score into qualitative data with standard scale of five. The effectiveness of data analysis was done by determining the percentage of minimum completeness, while the analysis of critical thinking skills and mathematical communication tests determined the improvement. The results of experts’ validation, assessments from teachers and students, learning observation, and critical thinking and mathematical communication skills test, provide the evidence that the learning kits are valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) keefektifan, dan (2) perbandingan keefektifan  pembelajaran matematika dengan model problem-based learning dan keefektifan model cooperative learning tipe TAI  ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada siswa SMA Negeri 4 dan 5 Kota Ternate.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu, yang terdiri atas dua kelompok eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII IPA di SMA N 4 dan 5 Kota Ternate. Dipilih secara acak satu kelas dari lima kelas pada masing-masing sekolah untuk dijadikan sampel penelitian. Untuk mengetahui kesamaan rerata vektor kelompok model problem based learning dan cooperative learning tipe TAI  digunakan uji manova. Setelah itu dilakukan uji statistic one sample t-test  untuk masing-masing vektor. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji Mancova untuk mengetahui perbedaan keefektifan antara kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) model problem-based learning dan model cooperative learning tipe TAI efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, (2) tidak terdapat perbedaan keefektifan antara model problem-based learning dengan co-operative learning tipe TAI ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis.Kata Kunci: problem-based learning, cooperative learning tipe TAI, kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. PBL and TAI Type Cooperative Learning Model in Terms of Reflective Thinking and Mathematic Problem Solving Abilities AbstractThis study aims to describe: (1) the effectiveness and (2) the comparison of the effectiveness of mathematics instruction through the problem-based learning model and TAI type cooperative learning in terms of mathematical and reflective thinking and mathematics problem solving abilities of the students of SMA Negeri 4 and 5 Ternate City. This study was a quasi-experimental research and used two experimental groups.the research population copmprised all grade XII IPA students of SMA Negeri 4 and 5 Ternate City. To know the mean vector similarity the group problem based learning model and TAI type cooperative learning modelused manova test. After that, done statistical tests one sample t-test for each vector. Then mancova testing was carried out to reveal the difference of the effectiveness between the two groups. The results of the study show that: (1) the problem based learning model and TAI type cooperative learning model are effective in terms of the mathematic reflective thinking abilities and mathematic problem solving abilities of the students, and (2) there is not difference in the effectivness of the problem-based learning model and  TAI type cooperative learning model in terms of students mathematic reflective thinking abilities and mathematics problem solving abilities.Keywords: problem based learning model, TAI type cooperative learning, reflective thinking mathematics abilities,  mathematics  problem solving abilities
