Abstract

This study aims to reveal the foundation of ontology, epistemology and axiology in an article entitled "Analysis of the Character Education Content of the Social Studies Textbooks of Junior High Schools in Surakarta City" written by Permatasari. This research is an inferential content analysis research. namely the foundation of ontology, epistemology and axiology, or in other words what, how and where is the science. The technique used in this research is the content analysis technique. The validity and reliability in this study were intraritarian semantics (test retest reliability). The results showed that: 1) the foundation of the ontology used consisted of material objects, namely the content of character education in social studies textbooks in the city of Surabaya; 2) the epistemological foundation consists of steps 3) the axiological foundation in the form of the benefits of character education values developed in the social studies textbooks in the city of Surabaya which have ethical (religious) and moral values.

Abstract

This research was aimed to analyze translation strategies in the Quran. The content analysis method with the qualitative approach used in the research. The data in this study are words, phrases, sentences in the text of the translation of the ayahs of the Glorious Qur'an surah Albaqarah ayah 1 to ayah 286. The procedure applied in the analysis of the data is the inductive model procedure. The development model of the rhetorical strategies used by Toulmin model. The results showed the model development strategies IV (G.W. B àC). The other model used the alternative model. It is another model appeared aside from what Toulmin has given, W. B àC. Model W. B àC is used as much as 7 times or of 17.5%. The next strategy model that also is a widely used is alternative models W.B. Q àC and the model V is used 5 times (12.5%). Next is the model of strategy III (Ground + Warrant àClaim), used four times or by 10% and the model I (Ground àClaim), model II (Ground-n àn-Claim), model W àC, and model W. R àC each used 1 time or amounting to 2.5%. All of the claims are expressed using complex rhetorical strategies. A claim supported by more than one fact either parallel or not parallel. There are few facts and data (ground), reinforced with a justification or validation data (warrant), reinforced again with power support (backing support) to strengthen one or more than one claim.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the complexity cultures consisting of kinship activities, economy, education, beauty and recreation, religion, politics, and physical needs in the novel Bumi Manusia written by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The approach used in this research is the anthropology literature approach. Read notes, literature, and description of the analysis are methods used in collecting the data. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results obtained are (1) kinship activities: helping each other, visiting houses and caring among human, (2) economic activities: complementing the needs of human life, (3) educational activities: formal and non formal, (4) beauty and recreation activities: the art of motion and the art of sound done by human, (5) religious activities: marriage and mutual respect for every beliefs between people, (6) political activities: the fields of government and organization, and (7) physical needs activities: the fields of food, beverages, and clothing.

Abstract

The study aims to describe a strategy for improving the student learning motivation with a learning cycle model in Indonesian literary subjects. Studies are conducted using qualitative descriptive methods. And then data was collected using observation methods, and interviews. The objective of observation is students' activities in the learning process in the Indonesian literature history class at the sanata dharma university. Interviews were conducted to get some information that was not obtained from observation The data obtained is compiled by deciphering notes, summarizing and selecting data that matches the purpose of the research. Research shows that the learning cycle is one of those strategies to improve the motivation to study in a course on the history of Indonesian literature.

Abstract

The Indonesian Language Program for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) in the learning process is inseparable from cultural material. In accordance with the achievements of learning aspects of culture into teaching material in the BIPA program. Culture must be introduced to BIPA learners to avoid culture shock because they will come into direct contact with Indonesian people with a variety of traditions, religions, and tribes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the cultural elements in the novel Entrok by Okky Madasari as a medium for cultural recognition for BIPA students. The object of research is focused on the Entrok novel by Okky Madasari. Data collection techniques through two events, namely literature review and reading. This research is a qualitative type with interactive analysis techniques. The results showed that there are seven cultural elements contained in the novel Entrok by Okky Madasari. The cultural elements consist of language, knowledge, equipment and technology, social organizations, livelihoods, religious systems and arts. Through these seven elements, Entrok's novel by Okky Madasari can be used as a medium of introduction to Javanese culture for BIPA learners at C1 and C2 levels. Learning using cultural aspects still emphasizes the principle of understanding language in communication.

Abstract

This article discusses the function of language and pragmatic meaning in social media to combat Covid-19. Theoretical references used are ethnopragmatics. Ethnographic studies basically examine language from a cultural aspect. Cultural aspects include knowledge, behavior, and artifacts. Meanwhile, pragmatics is a study of language use on the basis of context. This research uses data sources from Instagram, Facebook, WA, and email. Research data in the form of language use in social media above. Data from Instagram and Facebook are downloaded from the internet, while data from email is collected through the direction of researchers with guidance on the instrument. Data collection techniques are done through reading and taking notes. Concrete data analysis techniques are carried out through data identification, data classification, data interpretation, and reporting in the form of journal articles. The findings of research on language subfunctions include asking, inviting or influencing, being sarcastic, motivating and criticizing, and saying thank you. Meanwhile, the pragmatic meaning used in social media includes indirectly advising,  persuading, indirectly reminding, subtly insinuating, inviting, complaining, and give advice.

Abstract

Learning is an activity designed for the student learning process. Learning is a process of interaction between students and teachers by utilizing learning resources in a learning environment. One of the learning objectives is to build the character and character of students. In building character, it cannot be done once, but requires a long process. Character in other terms is said to be character or character. By implementing character education in inclusive schools, students are expected to have the same potential and do not feel that they are differentiated from normal children. Inclusive education requires a good environment so that students can emulate and habituate from childhood and provide reinforcement. The environment is the first and foremost shape of the child's character from the womb, birth, and until adulthood. Through parenting and the environment (family-community-school), the process of intervention and character habituation is formed. Inclusive education or children with special needs is very unique and special. In some aspects, adjustments, patience, and enthusiasm from the teacher are needed in guiding, guiding, and modeling. In this article, it is necessary to study character building, character education, types of character, inclusive education, and the implementation of character education in inclusive schools in order to get a clear picture for all parties.

Abstract

Human relationships will not be able to escape with the natural ecosystem. Humans and natural ecosystems coexist in a balanced portion so that no gaps occur. A reciprocal relationship between human life and the natural ecosystem occurs. However, the relationship between humans and the natural ecosystem becomes unhealthy because the human being can not keep the natural well. The research aims to find a reciprocal relationship between humans and the natural ecosystem and discover the human role of the natural ecosystem that has helped human life. To solve the problem, this study uses the human ecological approach and uses environmental posityism theory (Vidal de la Blache). The source of this research data is the novel Aroma Karsa by Dee Lestari published in 2018 and uses the novel behind the Curtain Aroma Karsa by Dee Lestari published in 2019 as an additional interpretation of research. Both novels are published by PT Landforms Pustaka. The data collection techniques used are the records. The research data analysis technique uses data presentation, data reduction and withdrawal of conclusions. The results of this research are first, the reciprocal relationship found is that human party can take advantage of nature which is used for livelihood, beauty products, product of scholarship, treatment material, and become the source of life. Secondly, the human role of the ecosystem is to safeguard, nurture, and preserve the natural ecosystem from being extinct and to fulfill human life in the future.

Abstract

TThe objectives of this reseaerch were to describe: (1) Teachers’ competencies in integrating Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) in lesson plan; (2) The urgency of developing TPACK for Indonesian junior high school teachers. The type of research was the descriptive research with the lesson plans of Indonesian junior high school teachers as substantive data source. The locative data source of this research was the junior high schools in Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta. The data collection technique is done by using document observation and questionnaires. This technique is used to obtain identification of the lesson plan components related to Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) and Technological Content Knowledge (TCK). Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistic method to show the degrees of mastery percentage of Indonesian teachers’ PCK and TCK. The conclusions of this study were stated as follows: (1) the ability of teachers to integrate technology is still limited to the use of PowerPoint, (2) the learning resources used by teachers are still limited to conventional textbooks, not the technology-based online sources, (3) the integration of technology by teachers in preparing lesson plans is still minimum, and (4) teachers are already using technology, but are still limited to CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction). Based on the research results above, it is concluded that the development of TPACK for Indonesian language teachers at the junior high school level is urgent.
