Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the quality of the learning process and improve the skills to write poetry at writing activity in class VII E SMP Negeri 16 Surakarta year 2015/2016. The results showed an increase in the quality of the learning process in the first cycle with the average value of the performance of teachers is 72 and the second cycle is 83, the average value of the performance of students in the first cycle and the second cycle is 70.85. Students’ kills in writing poetry is on increase, the students’ passing rate in the first cycle is 64 % with a mean value of 78 and the students’ passing rate in the second cycle is 92% with a mean value of 82. This is concluded that the implementation model of snowball throwing and said media tree can improve learning skills of writing poetry class VII E SMP Negeri 16 Surakarta academic year 2015/2016.

Abstract

Literature is a media that is capable of providing learning  about the personality and the character education of the person . Because literature has a positive value or a message that can be taken by the readers. This research was  descriptive qualitative study. The data in this research was the paragraph contained in the novel Entrok by Okky Mandasari and the data sources were novel and the reference books are relating to the research. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, the data collecting technique used are 3 techniques namely; read technique, notes technique, and interview technique. The Validity of the technique used in this research is data triangulation  The data analysis in this research is content analysis. The purpose of this research founds: 1)aspects of personality of the main character in the novel Entrok by Okky Madasari based on the theory of psychology personality by Sigmund Freud, 2) The education character’s value in the novel Entrok by Okky Madasari, 3) the relevance of the characters personality and the education character’s value in the novel Entrok by Okky Madasari with the literature education in the college. The result of this research were: 1) there are two main characters namely; Sumarni and Rahayu, 2) the main characters have the aspects of personality that refered on the sigmund freud’s theory namely; id, ego, superego, 3) the main characters have the education character’s value especially hard work, 4) the researcher  found that this novel and the result of this research can be relevance in the  learning of literature in the college.

Abstract

This research aims to describing and explain : (1) structure novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini; (2) gender inequity in the novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini; (3) the struggle gender equality in the novel Kenanga; (4) value education responsibility in the novel Kenanga; and (5) relevance novel Kenanga as of matter learning literature in college. The research is describe qualitative by adopting feminism. The primary data sources in the form of novels Kenanga by Oka Rusmini and secondary data sources  in the form informant, books, and journal. The technique collection data in this research using content analysis and interview. Validation data in this research using triangulation data sources and triangulation method. This research using a technique data analysis interactive model Miles and Hubermen. The research result show that: (1) structure novel Kenanga by Oka Rusmini covering theme, characterizations, plot, setting, and mandate; (2) Gender inequity in the novel Kenanga covering subordination, violence, workload, and labeling negative; (3) the struggle gender equality in the novels Kenanga covering field of education, field of job, field of public, field of family, and system caste/culture; (4) the educational value of the character in the novel Kenanga is value  responsibility; and (5) the  relevance novel Kenanga as of matter learning in college. This can be seen from syllabus feminist literary criticism with k.d students can understand criticism of feminism in a literary work and interviews with several informants and students.

Abstract

This research has aims to find out: (1) is there  is any difference between the storytelling skills of the students taught by the role playing method and expository method; (2) is there any difference between the storytelling skills of students who have high emotional intelligence and  low emotional intelligence; and (3) is  there an interaction between the learning method and the emotional intelligence toward storytelling skills.This research method used is a 2x2 factorial design experimental method. The study took a subpopulation which has an equality  curriculum in 2013 were applied. The sample taken are consists of three state schools for experimental class, control class, and instrument class. The technique used in analyzing the research data is the Variance Analysis Technique (Anava) two ways. Based on the research findings, the writer can conclude as follows: (1) there is a difference between storytelling skills of the students taught by the role playing method  and by an expository method; (2) there is a difference between the storytelling skills of students who have high emotional intelligence and low emotional intelligence; and (3) there is no interaction between learning method and emotional intelligence toward storytelling skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the type of speech acts used in Indonesian language learning; violation of cooperation principle  in Indonesian language learning; and Compliance politeness principle in Indonesian language learning at SMK Pelayaran "Akpelni" Semarang. This research was conducted at SMK Pelayaran “Akepelni” Semarang. Object of this research is the teachers and students in the Indonesian language learning at classroom. Data were collected through observation and techniques used SLBC. Samples were taken by using purposive sampling technique. Data was validated using triangulation techniques and source triangulation theory. Data were analyzed using data analysis interactive model. The results showed that, 1) the teacher and student use of speech acts, such as locution, illocution, and perlocution; 2) violation of cooperation principle undertaken by teachers and students is the maxim of quantity, maxim of quality, maxim of relevance, and the maxim of manner; and 3) adherence to the principles of politeness done by teachers and students is the tact maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim, modesty maxim, agreement maxim, and sympathy maxim.

Abstract

literary work is the result of creative writing containing aesthetic values and the values of life conveyed through the meanings of the story. Narrating a story of literary works involves the roles’ of the characters as the main figures that is consistent with the story and a psychological analysis of literary and educational value. Based on these results, it is relevant to the literature learning in university level. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method. The data sources used were documents such as the review of the Novel amba. Data collection was done by using documentation and interviews. The validity of the data was confirmed by using triangulation theory, while data sources and data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion / verification. The results of this research are as follows: (1) dispositive key figures were illustrated by using the method of standpoint. (2) id aspect of the characters in the novel of Amba comes from life and death instincts as the form of survival or fulfilling the needs. (3) aspects of ego that exists in figures Novel amba are served as a means of meeting the needs and as a determinant in deciding any actions to take in response to the problems that occur within the characters. (4) aspects of the superego is depicted through the picture of them obeying the rules that exist in the society. (5) the educational value of responsibility is the most prominent value in the Novel amba. (6) the results of review on the psychological aspects and the educational value of Amba novel are in accordance to the literature learning in college.

Abstract

Skill writing poetry in a student VIII SMPN district Magetan relating to two factors namely mastery diction and creativity verbal. This research have aims test the whereabout of: (1) the relationship between mastery diction and skill wrote poems; (2) the relationship between creativity verbal with skill wrote poems; and (3) the relationship between mastery diction and creativity verbal in bersama-sama with skill writing poetry. Research method used in this research is survey with correlational study. Sample consists of four public schools, namely: SMPN 1 Maospati as schools that have high performance, state the SMPN 1  Barat as having school achievement was, state SMPN 2 Maospati as schools that have low achievement and SMPN 2 Barat class test as an instrument with the total sample 20 students taken with clusters of random sampling. Based on the results of research findings can be concluded as follows: (1) there was a correlation a significant positive between mastery diction and skills wrote poems with the results of regression simple of Ŷ = 39.99 + 1.16X1, correlation of 0.90 and results of the contribution of 81 %; (2) there was a correlation a significant positive between creativity verbal with skill wrote poems with the results of regression simple of Ŷ  = 19.27 + 0.52X2, correlation of by 0.80 and results of the contribution at 64 %; and (3) there was a correlation a significant positive between mastery diction and creativity verbal together with skill wrote poems with the results of regression double of Ŷ = 27.19 + 0.86X1 + 0.21X2, correlation of 0.97 and results of the contribution of 94.09 %.

Abstract

This study contains about the complexity of ideas, the complexity of the activity, and the complexity of culture results, religious character of the educational value that is contained in Jambi traditional poem and the relevance to learning literature in junior high school. This study is a qualitative research, using descriptive analytic method, the data in this study is the review of documents Jambi traditional poem. Sources of data in this study is divided into two secondary data and primary data. Sources of primary data in this study a textbook poem in Jambi traditional poem book. Secondary data sources in this study is the source of the data obtained from informants, journal, books and research relevant to literary anthropology. Data collection techniques used in this research is documentation and depth interviews with informants. The validity of the data using data triangulation and triangulation theory. The analysis technique using an interactive model. The results of this study indicate the complexity of ideas, activities and culture results in Jambi traditional poem; found the values of the religious character education contained in Jambi traditional poem, it is appropriate when used as teaching materials of literary study in junior high school, because the values of character education that can be applied to everyday life and it has relevance in terms of language. The language used in Jambi traditional poem was an easy language to understand by students because it uses everyday language, if there are any special term local Jambi language, therefore in Jambi traditional poem There are explanations intent of the language that difficult to understand.

Abstract

This research described the novel The Chronicle of Kartini work wiwid prasetyo in terms of (1) the structure novel includes: the theme, figures and penokohan and the message of in the novel the chronicle of kartini work Wiwid Prasetyo; (2) aspects psychiatric a figure in the novel The Chronicle of Kartini work Wiwid Prasetyo; (3) described and explains value character education in the novel The Chronicle of Kartini work Wiwid Prasetyo; (4) described and explains relevance study the novel The Chronicle of Kartini work Wiwid Prasetyo with learning the indonesian language in high school. The research is research descriptive qualitative with the methods content analysis (analysis the contents of/analysis a document). This research result indicates that the theme contained in a novel as a broad outline highlight education related to history education figures indonesian women, R.A. Kartini. Psychiatric aspects figures according to the theory needs abraham maslow includes: a physiological need, the safety, the mutual having and loved, the awards (esteem), and needs aktualisasi themselves. The character education that are more dominant in this novel, the hard work. A novel it has relevance to learning the indonesian language in high school.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to improve students the quality of learning process and improving skill of writing short stories text skills. The subject of the study was student class VII D and a teacher in SMP Negeri 1 Juwana. The application of Experiential Learning Method and audiovisual media are to improve the quality of learning process and improving skill of writing short stories text and changing behaviors, religious and social attitudes of students to be better. This research shaped Classroom Action Research. Techniques of data collection is done by observation, interviews, tests and document analysis. The research process is performed in two cycles. Every cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research was the class VII D total students is 32 and teachers as collaborators. Data collection technique are observation, interview, test and document analysis. The validity of the data used triangulation techniques and review the informant. Data analysis used comparative analysis techniques and technical descriptions of critic analysis. The result of this research shows Experiential Learning Method and audiovisual media through can be used for improving the learning-process quality in writing short story text and improving skill of writing short story text. The conclusion of this research is implementing Experiential Learning method and audiovisual media can improve the learning-process quality and skill of writing short stories of VII D students in SMP Negeri 1 Juwana.
