Abstract

Naturally, students' motivation is one of the success determinant of the learning process in the world of schooling . Therefore, the teachers are required to be more creative to keep students’ motivation in participating the learning. Cooperative learning model is one of the various existing model of the learning methods. The results showed that students learning motivation depends on the method of learning carried out by the teacher in the classroom. Practically, variety of learning methods becomes urgent to carry out, so that the learning success is achieved.

Abstract

As a part of the culture, folklore is important to be documented and studied. The folklore of south coast Pacitan, is still prevalent nowadays. Although it is not all documented, an effort of the research has to be conducted. Beside as an effort of conserving it, the research is also very important to reveal another side of the story. Based on the reason, the study is conducted to reveal the mindset as well as the culture system of the past society reflected in folklore. This study uses the theory of narrative structure of Levi 's Strauss . The method used is a qualitative method approach using anthropology. The data used comes from the 14 folklores taken from the South Coast of Pacitan region. Based on the result of the analysis, it can be concluded that the mindset of the past society can be separated into (1) the social status way, (2) migration way, and (3) the way of techno-economy. While, the life views of the past society in the south coast of Pacitan region are (1) complying the rule, (2) nature as the source of life, and (3 ) Peace of life is very desirable dream.

Abstract

This study aims at inculcating Professional Competence and Cultural Learning Through Learning implementation using Information Search Method in the Vector Analysis Subject. This study uses the mechanism and design of learning software development according to Fenrich (2007). The data collection techniques that are used are: observation, test and questionnaire. The data analysis techniques are by using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis ( mixing method). The subject of this study is 39 students of sixth semester of academic year 2012/2013 Mathematic study program of IKIP PGRI MADIUN. The results shows that: (1) learning by using information search method in the Vector Analysis subject to inculcate a culture of learning and professional competence of students developed include: lesson plans, LKM, and THB with good and excellent category making it feasible to use, (2) Attainment Level of students’ professional competence through information search learning method in the Vector Analysis subject has not met the predetermined criteria. There are approximately 58.97 % of students who pass the study, it means that the professional competence has not been achieved because the number of students who pass the study are less than 75 % of the total number of students, (3) The attainment level of student learning culture through the information search method in the Vector Analysis subject is obtained satisfactorily and very good criteria with a percentage of more than 75 %.

Abstract

This research has purpose to determine which one providing better learning achievement between direct instruction learning with song and direct instructionlearning without song. In this research, students’ learning achievementis limited to the fourth grade teaching material of elementary schoolin circumference and area of parallelogram. The result of this research produces songsare consisting of circumference, area of parallelogram, and triangle teaching materials. This research is conducted to all elementary schools in Laweyan. Two schools are randomly taken as the samples, and then one class is taken from each school, therefore thereare two classes. The first sample as the experiment class (direct instruction learning with song) and the second sample as the control class (direct instruction learning without song). The research is quasi-eksperimental research. The research methods used are test and documentation method. The research data analysis is using t-test. Based on the resultof the research is obtained t = -2,198 DK, then H0 is subtracted. Therefore it can be conclude that there are differences mathematic learning achievement between direct instruction learning with song and direct instruction learning without song. If it is observed on the average, learning achievement of direct instruction learning with song is better than direct instruction learning without song.

Abstract

Rampant corruption occurred recently is essentially a portrait of the accumulated actions of society in carrying out the activities of daily life. It must be recognized that educational institutions , especially the world of schooling also donates seeds of the corruptive behaviour, manipulative and nepotism in a certain level, primarily in the transfer of knowledge and the transfer of value to the learning process in the classroom cubicles, and schools. The process of awareness against the corruption must be inculcated and struggled for its existence in order that Indonesia will be free from the bondage of the corruption crime soon. Anti- corruption education in high school Pacitan is an alternative solution- to unravel the “culture” of the corruption prevailing in all life lines of the Indonesian people.The research reveals that students ‘ and teachers’ understanding of the corruption is high. It is proved from the 339 respondents, 90.6 % claim to understand and very aware that corruption is a despicable act and against the law. Only 9.4 % do not understand that the corruption includes a criminal behaviour. Meanwhile, a motivation of society to learn the eradication of the corruption is very high, namely 85.3 % of the 252 available respondents, only 14.7 % of them who are not motivated. The awareness of learning the crime and the negative effect of the corruption is quite high. It is proved that 65.8 % of respondent answers are aware and the remaining 44.2 % are not aware of the negative effects of the corruption. Besides, the school society also recognizes that the factor supporting the implementation of anti-corruption education in the school is very high, namely 93.4 %, the rest is only 6.6 % that does not support it.The implementation of anti –corruption curriculum in the high school Pacitan has been generally integrated in the daily life at school. However, the level as well as the intention is still quite low. It is proved from the texts of Islamic Education, Civics and other subjects, there is no specific subject discussing the corruption.

Abstract

Due to poverty, children have to be on the street or involve in child labour to support the families’ economy to survive. As a consequence, children have to drop their school activities out. Refering to article 28 of the Convention of The Rights of The Children (CRC) children have the right to education and the states party recognizes to achieving this right by providing primary education compulsory and available free on the basis to equal opportunity. Non formal education is an alternative education for street children and working children, intended for them to fulfill their right to education. The aim of this study is to identify important factors that are essential for designing and implementing educational program for out-of school children, such as street children and working children. In addition, this study is intended to identify training needs for tutors who facilitate street children and working children in their non formal education program. In order to achieve the research objectives, series of FGDs and in depth interviews with staff of NGO working with out-of school children, tutors who facilitate children’s learning processes, and street children and working children as the beneficiaries of the non-formal education program implemented by the NGO.

Abstract

This was a quantitative study which was ex post facto in nature. The data collecting instruments consisted of a questionnaire and a mathematics learning achievement test. The results of the study show that: 1) there are not effects of neighborhoods, learning motivation, and students’ attitudes towards Mathematics as an aggregate on Mathematics learning achievements; 2) there are not relationship between neighborhoods and JHS students’ Mathematics learning achievements; 3) there are relationship between learning motivation and JHS students’ Mathematics learning achievements; and 4) there are not relationship between students’ attitudes towards Mathematics and JHS students’ Mathematics learning achievements.

Abstract

This research used the quasi-experimental research method with the factorial design of 2 x 2 x 2. Its population was all of the students in Grade VIII of State Senior Secondary Schools in Bojonegoro in Academic Year 2013/2014. Based on the results of the data analyses, the conclusions were as follows. 1) STAD whit open-ended mathematic echievement better than STAD. 2) The students with the sequential thinking better mathematic achievement than with the random thinking. 3) The students high creativity mathematic achievement better than low creativity. 4(a) In the sequential thinking style, the STAD with the open-ended same mathematic achievement the STAD. (b) In the random thinking style, the STAD with the open-ended mathematic achievement better than STAD. 5(a) in the high creativity, the STAD with open-ended mathematic achievement better than STAD. (b) in the low creativity, the STAD with the open-ended in the same mathematic achievement STAD. 6(a) In the high creativity, the students with the sequential thinking style have a better mathematic achievement than those with the random thinking style; In the low creativity, the students with the sequential and random thinking style have the same mathematic achievement. (b) in the sequential thinking style, the students with the high creativity have a better mathematic achievement than those with the low creativity; and. In the random thinking style, the students with the high and low creativity the same mathematic achievement. 7) In the sequential thinking style with the high and the low creativity and in the random thinking style with the low creativity, the STAD with open-ended the same mathematic achievement the STAD, and in the random thinking style with the high creativity, the STAD with open-ended a better mathematic achievement than that the STAD.
