Abstract

The issue of character education in Indonesia needs to be handled professionally from effective planning, implementation and supervision. This case study using qualitative approach with the phenomenology inductive to find a model of character education in MTs and MA NU Assalam. The technique of collecting data is done by interviews, observation and documentation. Data is analyzed through stages data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the concept of character education in Assalam MTs and MA NU is based on environmental integration by developing academic religious characters namely religious, sincerity, exemplary, and loving the goodness of honesty, discipline, responsibility, communicative, and self control ( 2) System character education planning is based on a systemic-integrative model. The system is implemented in a way formation of a conducive environment (bi'ah), habitualization (habituation), personification, a model of a person's kyai (role model) behavior, integration of extracurricular and intra-curricular activities and programs. The surveillance system uses internal control management through system orderly and book attitude , and external through home visit . Based on the results of this study, it is a concept in the form of a character education model based on environmental integration, Role Model, personification, and habitualization.

Abstract

THE challenge of islamic education teachers in the millennial era is how they are able to build student character professionally  and the other side they also can integrate and interconnect between islamic education lessons and general knowledge (science and technology) and social humaniore studies. Moreover, based on the statistics of islamic education teachers in the academic year 2018/2019, the number of islamic education teachers in Indonesia is huge in numbers and spread throughout among all provinces in Indonesia, namely 224,403 islamic education teachers, so it is the potential exists in Islamic education that is able to build character through an integrative-interconnect paradigm , as the theory formulated by expert of M. Amin Abdullah. So, the focus of this article: first, why is the professionalism of Islamic education teachers still an important thing in islamic education learning in this millennium era?; second, how should be a professional islamic education teacher in building the character of his students who live in the millennial era?; third, how should be a professional  islamic education teacher in integration and interconnection between Islamic studies and general science in islamic education learnin ?; and fourth, how can a teacher explore his professional capacity in milenial era?. The approach used in this paper is a descriptive approach, that is only describing or analyzing the professionalism of islamic education teachers in the millennial era, especially in building character and conducting scientific integration and interconnection during islamic education learning.

Abstract

AbstractGardner’s theory of multiple intelligences have influenced and used by language teachers in vary of  teaching learning strategies. One of the school which is used it was SD Islamic International School PSM Magetan. This Study aimed to describe and explain the limplementation of multiple intelligences-based strategy in Indonesian language writing at SD Islamic International School PSM Magetan. This study used qualitative descriptive approach in the form of case study research. The data resources in this study were place and events, informants and documents. Sampling techniques used in this research were purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection techniques did by observation, interviews and documents analysis. The validity of the data of this research used triangulation methods, triangulation of sources, and review with informants. The data analysis techniques used interactive analysis. The research revealed were teaching-learning istruments well planned and prepared, teachers used various of teaching learning strategies and methods integrated with multiple intelligences in writing, the assessment used on multiple intelligences-based strategy in Indonesian language writing was authentic assessment and some obstacles found out on implementing writing based on Multiple Intelligence strategy, but it could be solved by teacher and school stakeholder.

Abstract

Munculnya berbagai kekerasan seksual yang terjadi di masyarakat yang disebabkan oleh orang terdekat, terutama dari lingkungan keluarga, memunculkan masalah pentingnya memahami masyarakat terhadap konsep mahram, sebuah konsep dalam ajaran Islam yang mengatur batasan seseorang untuk menikah atau menikahi seseorang berdasarkan nasab, saudara kandung, dan mushoharoh. Dengan memahami konsep itu, seorang Muslim akan tahu bagaimana harus bersikap dengan mahramnya dan bukan mahramnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji penggunaan grafik pohon dalam topik teori grafis untuk mempelajari konsep mahram yang terkandung dalam surah An Nisa ayat 23. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif analitik dengan menggunakan instrumen tes, kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan konsep grafik pohon dapat membantu seorang Muslim untuk belajar dan memahami konsep mahram dengan mudah.

Abstract

The article aims to investigate the role of waqf in the modernization of education in Pesantren, by using a case study of the utilization of productive waqf at Modern Pesantren of Gontor and Pesantren of Tebuireng Jombang. The Method used is qualitative with phenomenological approach and comparative study. The result of the study shows that the pesantren built with Islamic philantrophy in the form of waqf institution is a good model for development of pesantren education in Indonesia’s contemporary era. The development process of waqf pesantren of Gontor Modern Pesantren and Tebuireng Pesantren is carried out with several supporting pillars, including: the pesantren administrators’ dedication of their wealth as waqf, the professional institutionalization of waqf pesantren in the form of the foundation’s legal entity, the productive management of waqf assets, and the productive utilization of waqf for the development of education. Both pesantrens have proven that the foundations’ nazir (administrator of waqf) have succeeded in productively managing the waqf in the pesantren community. This further cement the importance of pesantren as an integral part of the society.

Abstract

Gagasan Fazlur Rahman tentang pembaharuan pendidkan tinggi Islam sangat berhubungan dengan peningkatan pendidikan Islam masa kini. Kesimpulan akhir dari makalah ini adalah (1) formulasi pemikiran tentang konsep pemikiran mengenai pendidikan tinggi Islam yang akan dikembangkan harus dibangun di atas paradigma spiritual yang solid, unggul secara intelektual, dan anggun secara moral sesuai dengan Al-Qur'an sebagai rujukan pertama dan terutama. (2) kurikulum yang terbuka untuk studi filsafat dan ilmu sosial. (3) Jika perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia bersedia mengikuti pemikiran pendidikan Fazlur Rahman, maka keinginan umat Islam Indonesia untuk pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan akan lebih kuat, dikotomi ilmu akan semakin terkikis.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of assessment in the implementation of UIN Suska Riau curriculum integration and the difference in assessment quality in the implementation of curriculum integration in terms of lecturers’ educational background. This was descriptive quantitative research to explore the data from various informants and resources in accordance with the issues reviewed. Furthermore, the informants in this study were lecturers of UIN Suska Riau. The data were collected using interviews and documentation to find out the results of the study using a test description and to determine the differences of  assessment quality in the curriculum integration implementation in terms of lecturers’ educational background seen from the mean (average) of each group. Based on the results of research and analysis, the assessment instrument quality classified as "good" with a percentage of 70.57% and there is a difference between the assessment instrument quality of education and non education lecturers in the curriculum integration implementation of UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan imajinasi kreatif peserta didik berbasis neurosain dalam proses pembelajaran keagamaan Islam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif model Haberman dan Miles. Dalam periode keemasan anak, seluruh aspek berkembangan sangat pesat sehingga diperlukan stimulasi yang optimal, salah satunya dengan pengembangan imajinasi kreatif. Selama ini imajinasi kreatif belum banyak dikembangkan bahkan dianggap sebagai ganguan belajar. Tetapi, dalam lintasan sejarah banyak ilmuwan yang di masa anak-anak mengedepankan imajinasi kretifnya. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa imajinasi kreatif bukan ganguan pembelajaran melainkan teknik optimalisasi fungsi otak lebih maksimal. Kegiatan-kegiatan pembelajaran yang menstimulasi imajinasi kreatif anak seperti bermain musik religi, pembacaan kisah-kisah agung, nyanyian-nyanyian spiritual, tarian-tarian estetik, lukisan-lukisan unik, dan lain-lain sangat penting dikembangkan dalam proses pembelajaran keagamaan Islam.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas komitmen pondok pesantren dalam membangun dan mempertahankan eksistensi dan keberlangsungan kehidupan berbangsa melalui sistem pendidikan. Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian kualitatif dalam model studi kasus dengan memilih Pondok Pesantren Nurul Haramaian NW Narmada Lombok Barat sebagai lokasi penelitian. Untuk mendapatkan yang data diinginkan, peneliti mengutamakan teknik wawancara secara mendalam dan didukung dengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Temuan artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa komitmen kebangsaan Pondok pesantren Nurul Haramaian hampir sama dengan komitmen kebangsaan pesantren-pesantren lainnya di Indonesia. Namun, dalam pengimplementasiannya di Haramaian lebih bersifat solutif-praktis pada ranah sosiologis. Komitmen kebangsaanya merupakan pengejawentahan dan implikasi dari praktik Islam Nusantara yang inklusif dan moderat. Komitmen dimaksud memiliki kualitas tertinggi karena Islam menjadi dasar dan tujuan lembaga tersebut. Di samping itu, komitmen pondok pesantren bersifat afektik dan normatif, bukan bersifat performance. Artinya, komitmen kebangsaan sebagai kewajiban dan kecintaan bukan berdasarkan hasil dari proses rasionalisasi untung dan rugi. Komitmen kebangsaan dalam sistem pendidikan pondok pesantren Nurul Haramaian diimplementasikan dalam kurikulum nasional dan kurikulum muatan lokal.Kata kunci: Komitmen, Kebangsaan, Sistem Pendidikan, dan Pondok Pesantren.

Abstract

Artikel ini didasari oleh beberapa wacana kritis yang dialamatkan kepada Perguruan Tinggi (PT) yang ditulis oleh para ahli seperti Terry Eagleton dan Kevin Carey.  Para ahli tersebut memotret eksistensi PT konvensional  sebagai incumbent yang akan dikalahkan oleh sistem PT online sebagai attacker, sehingga muncul istilah “the slow death of university”. Kondisi tersebut telah melahirkan kekhawatiran “sebagian” insan akademis tentang keberlanjutan sistem PT yang telah mapan. Kemunculan teori disrupsi merupakan fakta di balik kekhawatiran tersebut. Teori tersebut mengilustrasikan kontestasi antara incumbent dan attacker yang berujung pada kemenangan attacker dan kekalahan incumbent. Oleh karena itu, tidak mengherankan bila disrupsi dianggap sebagai momok yang menakutkan bagi incumbent, termasuk  PT. Artikel ini merupakan literature review yang difokuskan pada genealogi konsep disrupsi, proses, tantangan dan strategi PT dalam merespon era disrupsi. Artikel ini menemukan bahwa disrupsi adalah istilah yang relative, ia muncul disebabkan oleh hadirnya industry 4.0 yang berproses melalui six Ds yaitu digitalisasi, desepsi, disrupsi, demonetisasi, dematerialisasi dan demokratisasi. Kemudian, relasi antara incumbent dan attacker tidak selalu dilihat dengan pola konfrontatif (incumbent vs attacker) tetapi juga dengan pola adaptif-kolaboratif (incumbent with attacker). Sehingga, sebuah solusi bagi PT agar tetap eksis adalah Be disruptor bukan being disrupted melalui strategi yang disebut hybrid innovation.
