Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengasuhan pendidik, orangtua dan kerja samanya terhadap pengembangan kecerdasan emosional anak di PPAUD Nusa Indah Bumirejo. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling dengan besar sampel 30 anak, 30 orangtua, dan 10 pendidik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan dengan metode analisis regresi linier ganda. Hasil persamaan regresi linier adalah: Y’ = -126,612 + 0,845X1 + 0,864X2. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pengasuhan pendidik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kecerdasan emosional anak bila dilakukan bersama dengan orangtua. Kerja sama pengasuhan pendidik dan orangtua secara bersama-sama berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kecerdasan emosional anak, sumbangan pengaruhnya sebesar 73,4%.Kata kunci: kecerdasan emosi, pengasuhan pendidik, pengasuhan orangtua, kerja sama pendidik dan orangtua. THE EFFECT OF THE COOPERATION BETWEEN TEACHERS AND PARENTS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE OF THE CHILDRENAbstractThis study aims to investigate the effect of teachers’, parents, and  cooperation between teachers and parents on the development of the emotional intelligence of the children in PPAUD Nusa Indah Bumirejo. The sample was selected using the stratified random sampling technique with 30 children, 30 parents and 10 teachers. The data collecting instruments consisted of a questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis mothod. The linear regression equation is Y’= -126.612 + 0.845X1 + 0.864X2. This shows that teachers’ upbringing has a significant effect on children’s emotional intelligence if with parents simultaneously. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami kompetensi parenting orangtua, kendala dalam pengasuhan, dan strategi yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian orangtua peserta didik pada lembaga kelompok bermain di Kecamatan Pakem. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Kompetensi parenting orangtua pada bentuk keluarga: (a) Nuclear family: orangtua cenderung mengikuti kemauan anak dan melarang anak bermain di luar rumah, karena orangtua berada di rumah. (b) Extended family: kecenderungan adanya perbedaan pola asuh orangtua dengan anggota keluarga lain. (c) Diverse family: kecenderungan orangtua memenuhi kebutuhan anak dengan bekerja sehari penuh, sehingga kurang waktu bersama anak. Kendala yang dihadapi orangtua di antaranya, orangtua yang bekerja dan mendelegasikan pengasuhan kepada kakek atau nenek, saudara yang lain, maupun kepada pengasuh. Strategi yang dilakukan orangtua adalah dengan melakukan pengaturan waktu dan melakukan pembatasan pergaulan anak dengan lingkungan, apabila dirasakan lingkungan tidak memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap perkembangan sosial anak.Kata kunci: kompetensi parenting, perkembangan sosial anak THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE PARENTING COMPETENCY ON THE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN (CASE STUDY ON PLAYGROUPS IN PAKEM, SLEMAN)AbstractThis study aims to investigate parenting competency of parents, parents’ constraints in parenting, and strategies undertaken. This was a qualitative study with subjects were parents of students. The data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. Parents’ parenting competency, among others, the following: (a) Nuclear families: parents tend to follow the will of the child and tendency parents forbid children to play outside the house, because the parent is at home. (b) Extended familes: the difference in parenting from parents and other family members. (c) Diverse families: parents’ tendency to meet the needs of children with working of full day, so less time with children. Constraints faced by parent’s include the fact that they work so that they delegate it to grandfather or grandmother, other relatives, or babysitters. Parent’s strategies are that they manage time as effectively as possible and manage restriction of children’s socialization with the environment are made when parents think that the environment cannot give positive contributions to children’s social development.Keywords: parenting competency, children’s social development

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan: (1) Pemahaman, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pendidik program PPAUD tentang team teaching (2) hasil team teaching, dan (3) faktor pendukung dan penghambat keefektifan team teaching. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan logic models menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian 65 orang pendidik. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner, lembar observasi, dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi dokumen, wawancara, observasi dan kuesioner. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi team teaching efektif. Team teaching memberikan hasil positif terhadap anak, dan terdapat faktor pendukung team teaching meliputi: rasio peserta didik dan pendidik, ketersediaan sarana prasarana, rekan pendidik yang terbuka dan mempunyai keinginan kerja sama, ketercapaian tumbuh kembang anak, proses administrasi mudah dan lengkap serta bertambahnya kemampuan pendidik. Faktor penghambat meliputi: jumlah pendidik sedikit dan fasilitas sarana prasarana terbatas.Kata Kunci: keefektifan, team teaching, PAUDTHE EFFECTIVENESS OF TEAM TEACHING OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM EDUCATORS IN KULONPROGO REGENCYAbstractThis study aims to investigate: (1) the effectiveness of: the educators’ understanding of team teaching, the educators’ planning in team teaching, the implementation of team teaching, and the evaluation of team teaching; (2) the result of team teaching; and (3) supporting and inhibiting factors of team teaching in Early Childhood Education Program educators in Kulon Progo Regency. This study was an evaluation study using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The evaluation model used was the logic models. The research subject were 80 educator’s with 65 educators Data were collected by means of questionnaires, observation, and interview. The technique of data analysis used was descriptive. The results show that: (1) the educators’ understanding of team teaching is quite effective with a score of 1.52 or 89%, (2) the educators’ planning in team teaching is very effective with a score of 2.79 or 93%, (3) the implementation of team teaching is very effective with a score of2.91 or 97.1%, (4) the evaluation of team teaching tremendously effective with a gained score of 2.28 or 99.3%, (5) the team teaching gives a positive effect to the children according to administrators’ and parents’ point of view, (6) the supporting factors of team teaching are: (a) the educator and children ratio, (b) the availability of infrastructure and facilities, (c) open minded and good willing to cooperate of educators’ partner, (d) the best possibility of children development, (e) the convenient and comprehensive administration process, and (f) the increase of educator’s competencies by interaction and team teaching. The inhibiting factors of team teaching are: (a). the limitation of the number of educators, and (b) the limitation of infrastructure and facilities.Keywords: effectiveness, team teaching, early childhood education

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan persepsi tentang pelaksanaan program pendidikan alternatif melalui pembelajaran di Komunitas Belajar Qaryah Thayyibah (KBQT) berkaitan dengan: (1) Filsafat pendidikan, (2) Pengelolaan pembelajaran, (3) Hasil pembelajaran, (4). Faktor pendukung dan penghambat.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi interpretitif. Subyek penelitian adalah pendiri, pendamping dan warga belajar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan: (1) riset kepustakaan, (2) teknik dokumentasi, (3) riset lapangan. Metode analisis data dilakukan dengan cara: (a) reduksi data, (b) penyajian data, (c) penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa: (1) Filosofi pendidikan menggunakan konsep Paulo Friere dengan pembelajaran kontruktivisme maupum rekontruktivisme, (2) Pengelolaan program pembelajaran berkaitan: (a) perencanaan yang dilakukan oleh, untuk dan bagi komunitas; (b) pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilakukan secara fleksibel; (c) evaluasi dilakukan dengan melaporkan catatan kegiatan belajar, (3) Hasil pembelajaran diwujudkan dalam bentuk karya, (4) Faktor pendukungnya adalah teman komunitas, dan faktor penghambatnya adalah kurang memahami konsep pembelajaran serta kurangnya pendampingan yang efektif.Kata Kunci: pendidikan alternatif, komunitas belajar MANAGEMENT LEARNING PROGRAM ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION COMMUNITY LEARNING QARYAH THAYYIBAH IN SALATIGA CENTRAL JAVAAbstractThis study aims to reveal the perception of an alternative education program through the implementation of learning in Community Learning Qaryah Thayyibah (QTLC) relating to: (1) Philosophy of education, (2) learning management, (3) learning outcome, (4). Enabling and inhibiting factors .This study used a qualitative approach interpretitif phenomenology. Subjects were founders, mentors and learners. Data collected by: (1) the research literature, (2) technical documentation, (3) research field. Methods of data analysis done by: (a) data reduction, (b) the presentation of the data, (c) drawing conclusions. The research results revealed that: (1) educational philosophy using the concept of Paulo Friere with constructivism learning, (2) Management related learning program: (a) planning done by, to and for the community, (b) the implementation of flexible learning is done; (c) evaluation is done by reporting record learning activities, (3) learning outcomes manifested in the form of work, (4) is a factor supporting community friends, and inhibiting factor is the lack of understanding of the concept of learning as well as the lack of effective mentoringKeywords: alternative education, community learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; (1) Pengelolaan kursus modeling di LKP Colour Models Management Yogyakarta. (2) Hasil pengembangan aspek personal dan sosial siswa modeling di Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan (LKP) Colour Models Management Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah pengelolaan yang meliputi kurikulum dan pembelajarannya, siswa, tenaga pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan di LKP Colour Models Management Yogyakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif menurut Miles dan Hubermann. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagai berikut; (1) Tahapan pelaksanaan program kursus modeling dapat berjalan sesuai rencana. (2) LKP Colour Models Management Yogyakarta berperan langsung dalam mengembangkan aspek personal (kepribadian) siswanya. The research subject was the management comprising the curriculum and insctruction, learners and educators, and educational personnel in the CTI of Colour Models Management Yogyakarta. The data were collected through observations, interviews, and documents. They were analyzed using  the qualitative analysis technique by Miles and Huberman.The research findings are as follows. (1) The phase  of  the modeling course  program implementation runs as planned. (2) The CTI of Colour Models Management Yogyakarta plays a direct role in the development of the learners’s personal aspect. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Implementasi pendidikan karakter, (2) Nilai-nilai karakter yang ditanamkan, (3) Faktor pendukung dan penghambat, dan (4) Hasil dari implementasi pendidikan karakter di HSKS Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, tutor, orangtua, dan homeschooler kelas 1-3 SD. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data dilakukan melalui pengamatan terus menerus dan trianggulasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa: (1) Implementasi pendidikan karakter dilakukan secara terpadu pada mata pelajaran, manajemen sekolah, dan ekstrakurikuler (2) Nilai-nilai karakter yang ditanamkan kepada homeschooler mengacu pada finger print scan yaitu tanggung jawab, rasa hormat, keadilan, keberanian, jujur, disiplin, peduli, ketekunan, dan kemandirian. (3) Faktor pendukung yaitu pendekatan secara personal dan faktor penghambat yaitu latar belakang keluarga yang sering memanjakan anak. (4) Hasil dari imple-mentasi pendidikan karakter adalah perubahan sikap dan peningkatan hasil belajar home-schooler.Kata kunci: pendidikan karakter, nilai-nilai, homeschooler. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CHARACTER EDUCATION IN HOMESCHOOLING KAK SETO YOGYAKARTAAbstractThis study aims to investigate: (1) The implementation of character education, (2) Character values inculcated, (3) Facilitating and inhibiting factors, and (4) The results of the implementation of character education. This study employed the qualitative approach and was a case study. The research subjects comprised the principal, tutors, parents and homeschoolers. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data trustworthiness was conducting continuous observations and triangulation. The result of the study are as follows: (1) Character education is implemented integrated into subject matter learning, school management and extracurricular. (2) The character values inculcated refer the finger print scan, namely responsibility, respect, fairness, courage, honesty, dicipline, caring, perseverance, and independence. (3) The facilitating factor include a personal approach and the inhibiting factos include the background of the families that often spoil the children. (4) The results of the implementation of character education is a changes in the homeschoolers attitudes and the improvement of their learning outcomes.Keywords: character education, values, homeschoolers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pendidikan berperspektif gender, faktor pendukung dan penghambat, dan hasil dari pelaksanaan pendidikan berperspektif gender pada anak usia dini di ECCD-RC Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah direktur yayasan, kepala sekolah, pendidik, dan peserta didik ECCD-RC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendidikan berperspektif gender di ECCD-RC dilaksanakan melalui pembiasaan, keteladanan, dan bermain yang tidak diskriminatif. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pendidikan berperspektif gender pada anak terlihat dalam interaksi peserta dengan pendidik, dan interaksi antarpeserta didik di kelas, melalui empat aspek analisis gender, yaitu akses, partisipasi, kontrol, dan manfaat. Beberapa faktor yang mendukung terlaksananya pendidikan berperspektif gender pada anak usia dini diantaranya adalah peserta didik masih bebas stereotype, pendidik yang pro keragaman, proses pembelajaran yang tidak diskriminatif, dan kerja sama yang baik antara pendidik dan orang tua. Selain faktor pendukung, ada beberapa faktor yang menghambat diantaranya: penghambatnya adalah: keterbatasan SDM, sarana prasarana yang belum 100% ramah dan aman, orang tua pendidik memiliki pandangan yang berbeda dengan ECCD-RC, dan minimnya waktu interaksi anak di ECCD-RC Yogyakarta.Kata kunci: pendidikan, gender, anak usia dini GENDER PERSCPECTIVE EDUCATION TO EARLY CHILHOODAbstractThis study aims to determine: the implementation of gender perspective education to early childhood, the supporting factors and inhibiting factors, and the result of gender perspective education to early childhood at ECCD-RC, Yogyakarta. This study used descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were director of the foundation, principal, educator, and school students at ECCD-RC, Yogyakarta. The findings of the study are as follows: The implementation of gender perspective education to early childhood conducted through repeated action, role modelling, and indiscriminating play. The result of gender perspective education can be seen through interaction between students and teachers and interaction among students viewed from four gender analysis aspects, i. e. access, participation, control, and advantage. The supporting factors are: students are free from stereotyping, teachers appreciate diversity, learning process is indiscriminating, evaluation instrument is complete, and teachers and parents are being cooperative. Whereas, the inhibiting factors are the limitation of human resources, medium and infrastructure which are not 100 % children-friendly, different point of view between parents and staffs, and the minimum time for children to interact with their teachers.Keywords: education, gender, early childhood

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui proses pemberdayaan melalui pendidikan nonformal dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan kepada masyarakat miskin untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan sosial di Kabupaten Halmahera Barat. Penelitian kualitatif, pendekatan fenomenologi, sampel penelitian, PKBM Mario Laha, PKBM Merpati, Orsos Melati, Orsos Tunas Harapan dan Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (LPM) Sonyinga, responden, penggelola lembaga, masyarakat miskin atau warga belajar, dan tokoh masyarakat. Pengumpulan data, metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yaitu, (1) proses pemberdayaan yang dilakukan lembaga pendidikan nonformal belum sesuai harapan warga belajar yang terlibat dalam proses tersebut, dan belum memperhatikan aspek kebutuhan yang diperlukan warga belajarnya, (2) hasil yang di timbulkan pasca mengikuti proses pemberdayaan di lembaga-lembaga pendidikan nonformal belum membantu masyarakat miskin meningkatkan kehidupannya, dan (3) hubungan kerja sama yang selama ini dibangun oleh PKBM Merpati, PKBM Mario Laha, Orsos Tunas Harapan, Orsos Melati, dan LPM Sonyinga hanya sebatas pemerintah daerah.Kata kunci: pemberdayaan, kemiskinan, pendidikan nonformal, kesejahteraan sosial, PKBM, Orsos, dan LPM. THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE POOR THROUGH THE NON-FORMAL EDUCATION PROCESS AS AN EFFORT TO IMROVE THE SOCIAL WELFARE IN WEST HALMAHERA REGENCYAbstractThis study aims to investigate the empowerment process through non-formal educational institutions in the implementation of training activities for the poor to improve the social welfare in West Halmahera Regency. This study employed the qualitative using the phenomenological approach. The sample comprised MarioLaha Center for Community Learning Activities (CCLA), Merpati CCLA, Melati Social Organization (SO), Tunas Harapan SO, and Sonyinga Community Empowerment Institution (CEI). The respondents included the managerial personnel of the institutions, the poor people or learning participants, and community leaders.  The data were collected through observations, interviews, anddocumentation. The findings show that: (1) the empowerment processes carried out by non-formal educational institutions have not satisfied the expectations of the learning participants involved in the process and have not fully taken account of the aspects related to their needs, (2) the results of the empowerment processes in the non-formal educational institutions do not help the poor improve their life, and (3) the cooperative relationship that so far has been established by Merpati CCLA, Mario Laha CCLA, Melati SO, Tunas Harapan SO, and Sonyinga CEI is limited to the local government.Keywords: empowerment, poverty, nonformal education, social welfare, CCLA, SO, CEI

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pelaksanaan, keberhasilan dan kendala-kendala program kecakapan hidup bagi warga binaan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Anak (LPA) Kelas IIA Kutoarjo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi dengan menggunakan model penelitian CIPP. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pelaksanaan program pada aspek konteks menunjukkan kesesuaian antara kebutuhan dan partisipasi warga belajar, pengalaman warga belajar dan kondisi lingkungan dengan kegiatan program. Pada aspek masukan menunjukkan motivasi warga belajar, karakteristik warga belajar, karakteristik narasumber, pendanaan, dan sarana prasarana dalam kategori baik. Aspek proses menunjukkan aktifitas warga belajar, strategi pembelajaran dan hubungan antar pribadi dalam kategori baik. Aspek hasil menunjukkan semua kegiatan keterampilan dapat terlaksana dengan baik. Keberhasilan program keterampilan ditunjukkan oleh perubahan perilaku warga belajar yang meliputi kecakapan tangan, kecakapan hati, kecakapan otak dan kecakapan sehat.Kata kunci: Pelaksanaan program kecakapan hidup, keberhasilan program kecakapan hidup AN EVALUATION OF THE LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM FOR PRISONERS IN CHILDREN’S CORRECTIONAL CENTER IIA KUTOARJOAbstractThis study aims to investigate the implementation, the attainment of the success of the program, and the constraints of the program for the prisoners in Children’s Correctional Center Class IIA Kutoarjo. This was an evaluation study employing the CIPP. The data were collected through interviews, documentation, and observations. The context aspect shows relevance among the learners’ needs and participation, their learning experiences and the environmental condition, and the program activities.The input aspect shows that the learners’ motivation and characteristics, the tutors’ characteristics, the funding, and the infrastructure facilities are good.The process aspect shows that the learners’ activities, the learning strategies, and the interpersonal relationship are good.The product aspect shows that all the skills activities can be well implemented. The success of the skills program is indicated by changes in the learners’ attitudes manifested in the manual skill, spiritual skill, intellectual skill, and health skill are good.Keywords: Implementation of skills program, success of skills program

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan keberhasilan program desa vokasi terhadap pemberdayaan masyarakat berkaitan dengan: (1) pelaksanaan; (2) hasil (3) dampak; (4) faktor pendukung dan penghambat program. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah tim pengembang desa vokasi, kepala desa, ketua dan peserta program. Pengumpulan data melalui: wawancara; observasi; dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data melalui: reduksi data; penyajian data; dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan: (1) Pelaksanaan program desa vokasi melalui: seleksi wilayah, sosialisasi dan pembentukan pengurus, identifikasi dan pembentukan kelompok, pemilihan ketua kelompok, pelaksanaan diklat, dan pertemuan antar kelompok; (2) Hasil program berupa peningkatan kecakapan vokasi dan perkembangan kelompok usaha; (3) Dampak program berupa peningkatan ekonomi, status sosial dan perubahan budaya; (4) Faktor pendukung internal adalah tingginya target meningkatkan kualitas hidup, dan faktor pendukung eksternal ialah kuatnya komitmen aparat desa dan adanya pembinaan instansi terkait. Faktor penghambat internal adalah rendahnya motivasi. Faktor penghambat eksternal adalah cuaca, terbatasnya modal serta banyaknya pesaing dalam pemasaran.Kata Kunci: program desa vokasi, pemberdayaan masyarakat. THE SUCCESS OF THE VOCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT IN GEMAWANG VILLAGE, SEMARANG REGENCYAbstractThis study aims to reveal the perception the success of vocational to community empowerment about: (1) Implementation; (2) Results; (3) The impact; and (3) supporting and inhibiting factors the program.The study employed the qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects comprised the team developing the vocational village, the village chief, the head of the program. The data were collected through: interviews, observations, documentation. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The study reveals the following findings: (1) Implementation the Vocational Village Program through several steps including page region selection, socialization, identification and determination of the group, election of the chairman, the implementation of vocational education and training, vocational group; (2) Output rural vocational program consisting of an increase in vocational skills for each member of the group and the development of business groups; (3) Impact of the vocational village program is the increased economic, social status and cultural; (4) Internal supporting factor is the presence of the ideals of the program participants to achieve a better life, and external contributing factors is the strong commitment by village officials, and special group. While the internal limiting factor is the lack of motivation. External limiting factor is the state of the weather, the limited capital and many competitors in marketing.Keywords: vocational village program, community empowerment
