Abstract

This study is a short review and concise note of the article Lengnick-Hall et al. (2009) about his article entitled “Strategic human resource management: The evolution of the field.” This study examines the evolution and chronological processes of developing strategic human resource management literature. There are seven themes in strategic human resource management. The study also discusses current and future trend issues in strategic human resource management. Finally, this paper provides a strategic human resource management research note.

Abstract

In this paper we investigated whether or not impression management effect organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of employees in service industries in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.  The aim of this research also distinguished between impression management and OCB. Based on the previous researchers, I examine that five dimensions of impression management enhance three dimensions of OCB. Three types of OCB and five types of impression management were assessed using modification of previous researchers. A survey was conducted by using questionnaires from previous research. The questionnaires were sent to employees in private service organizations, 171 completed surveys were returned anonymously in sealed envelopes. Validity tests and reliability tests were used to test the questionnaires contents. Independent sample test was used to test difference between impression management and OCB. The correlation between two dimensions and regressions analysis were used to test the relationship among the variables and dimensions. The result proved that impression management is both conceptually and empirically distinct from OCB. Self-promotion, ingratiation, and exemplification dimensions have positive effect on participation dimension, ingratiation, exemplification, and supplication dimensions have positive effect on obedience dimension, and exemplification, intimidation, and supplication dimensions have positive effect on loyalty dimensions. A thorough discussion on the relationship among the variables as well as on self rating is presented in this paper.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how well IT is used to support the business processes of SMEs in Bangunjiwo, and to identify ways to help SMEs improve IT support for business processes in SMEs in Bangunjiwo. This research is expected to have benefits that can increase managers/owners awareness to take advantage of the information technology support in business processes. By knowing the results of this study, the SMEs are expected to further improve the use of information technology in business processess as to achieve competitive advantage.The unit of analysis for this study is the SME organization, so every organization represented by one person (owner or manager). Population of the research is small and medium companies in Bangunjiwo, Kasihan, Bantul. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique to determine which companies will be the respondent.The results show that IT support for each business process is lower than importance level that business processes run bySMEs in Bangunjiwo. IT support for SMEs in the business process can be enhancedby the disseminationof research results to the SMEs in Bangunjiwo, so they can understand the importance of IT support. Socialization is intended to motivate the use of IT facilities economically an deasily, so it can be done by SMEs.

Abstract

This study is aimed at examining the influence of entrepreneurial traits including need for achievement, self-efficacy, and risk taking propensity towards students’ entrepreneurial intention. The population of this study is students of AMA YPK Yogyakarta. This study used purposive sampling in which the criteria of the sample were those who had joined in entrepreneur class. The total numbers of sample processed were 90 students.    Based on the test of hypothesis using multiple regression, it resulted that need for achievement and self-efficacy gave influence toward students’ entrepreneurial intention, while risk taking propensity did not have any influence toward students’ entrepreneurial intention.

Abstract

 In the operational of aviation in Sultan Syarif Kasim II Pekanbaru Airport, an airplane machine can make some noise. The noise is sound that is not will in a place and time scale, it can make some disturbance that influence human freshness and health. Nevertheless in fact there are many settlements which developed in the noisy areas that are not in accordance with the regulations.The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of air traffic noise in the area around the airport of Sultan Syarif Kasim II Pekanbaru to residential value, and to analyze other variables outside noise that affects the value  of homes in the area around the airport. The variables used in this research is the building area, land area, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, distance from the house to the CBD, from the house to the airport, building structure and noise.By using multiple regression with least squares method (ordinary least square). The result show that the noise has a negative statistically significant against the value of the house. It can be concluded that noise can interfere with health and reduce comfort, which means reducing the benefits received by resident, there by reducing the value of the house.

Abstract

Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pengaruh Kualitas Kehidupan Kerja terhadap Kinerja karyawan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta dimediasi oleh Kepuasan Kerja dan Disiplin Kerja. Tehnik pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan menyebar kuesioner kepada seluruh karyawan BPS Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta sebagai responden. Dalam pengujian hipotesis penelitian ini digunakan analisis inferensia dengan menggunakan Model Persamaan Struktural (Structural Equation Modeling/SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan  software SmartPLS 3.Dari 74 orang karyawan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta, yang bisa menjadi responden ada sebanyak 72 orang karena ada satu orang yang sedang Tugas Belajar dan satu orang lagi sudah pindah wilayah tugas.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kepuasan Kerja maupun Disiplin Kerja karyawan tidak secara langsung sebagai variabel intervening pengaruh Kualitas Kehidupan Kerja terhadap Kinerja karyawan BPS Provinsi D.I. Yogyakarta. Kepuasan Kerja merupakan variabel intervening Kualitas Kehidupan Kerja terhadap Disiplin Kerja dan Disiplin Kerja Kerja merupakan variabel intervening pengaruh Kepuasan Kerja terhadap Kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

Ketersediaan dana yang cukup untuk membiayai kegiatan operasional merupakan salah satu faktor yang penting bagi perusahaan. Kebijakan hutang merupakan salah satu keputusan pendanaan yanng dilakukan untuk menambah dana perusahaan yang akan digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan operasional perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh  kepemilikan manajerial, kebijakan deviden, struktur aktiva, ukuran perusahaan terhadap kebijakan hutang.Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua  perusahaan manufaktur 2009-2012 di  Bursa  Efek  Indonesia  (BEI). Sampel purposive  sampling. Metode pengumpulan data adalah dengan metode dokumentasi. Pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda.Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh antara kebijakan deviden terhadap kebijakan hutang (Studi Empiris pada Perusahaan Manufaktur yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2009-2012.Terdapat pengaruh antara struktur aktiva terhadap kebijakan hutang (Studi Empiris pada Perusahaan Manufaktur yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2009-2012. Pegaruhnya positif sebesar 0,516 artinya jika struktur aktiva semakin tinggi maka kebijakan hutang semakin tinggi juga. Terdapat pengaruh antara ukuran perusahaan terhadap kebijakan hutang (Studi Empiris pada Perusahaan Manufaktur yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2009-2012. Pegaruhnya negatif sebesar 0,340 artinya jika ukuran perusahaan semakin tinggi maka kebijakan hutang semakin menurun. Adjusted R square sebesar 0,263 yang menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan hutang (Studi Empiris pada Perusahaan Manufaktur yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2009-2012) dipengaruhi oleh ketiga variabel yaitu kebijakan deviden, struktur aktiva, ukuran perusahaan sebesar 26,3%, sisanya yaitu 73,7% dipengaruhi variabel lain yang belum diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The brand awareness is a basic dimension in brand equity. One brand does not have any equity unless the consumers are awareness of the existence of the brand itself. The brand awareness of one product in the costumers’ mind is really important to notice and organize. Because of the importance of organizing brand awareness of one product, the objective of this research is to measure the brand awareness of the consumers’ of note book towards note book in Zyrex brand. The population in this research is the users of note book in Yogyakarta. The numbers of sample in this research are 100 people. The research uses convenience sampling that is the sampling method based on the easy and accessible selection of population members in getting information. Meanwhile, the sample in this research is those who use note book. The measurement of brand awareness is started by the questionnaire data tabulation; continued by the questionnaire data classification about top of mind, brand recall, brand recognition, and unaware of brand then continued by the percentage accounting. Based on the test done and the numbers of users, most of respondents use notebook of Acer brand. Whereas based on the level of awareness, for top of mind, many respondents remember the Acer brand firstly. Based on the brand recall, many respondents remember Compaq as the second brand of notebook they are able to remember. In addition, for the brand recognition, it shows that there are some respondents need to remind about the notebook brand of Zyrex

Abstract

In this thesis examines the effects of equity compensation to employee satisfaction at rural banks in four-dimensional jogjakarta.keadilan compensation includes distributive justice, procedural justice, interpersonal justice and informational justice. pembhasan two-dimensional distributive justice and procedural fairness emphasis on formal aspects of managerial, and two-dimensional interpersonal information justice emphasizes the social aspect.Samples are used as much as 6 rural banks, rural banks based 3 conventional and 3-based sharia rural banks. with the object of research is as much as 175 employees RB respondents.Results showed that of the four variables: distributive justice, procedural justice, interpersonal justice, fairness infoemasional, expressed significantly influence employee satisfaction.

Abstract

A companys organization relies heavily on the management of human resources (HR), the employees who work for the company. The company always expects its employees can work well for the sake of the progress of the company, but only employees who have a high satisfaction will do its performance well with high loyalty. This research was conducted to determine the influence of financial and non financial incentives towards job satisfaction and employee performance on a BRI Branch Office of Sleman, Yogyakarta. The sample used as many as 200 employees BRI Branch Office of Sleman, Yogyakarta. The Data collected by the method of spreading the questionnaire directly to the respondents. Technique of data analysis in this study uses the SEM analysis (Structural Equation Modelling) that operated through AMOS. The results of this research are: financial incentives positive and significant effect on job satisfaction of employees; non financial incentives positive and significant effect on job satisfaction of employees; financial incentives positive and significant effect on performance of employees; non financial incentives positive and significant effect on performance of employees; and job satisfaction the positive and significant effect on the performance of employees.
