Abstract

Water clover (Marsilea crenata) is one type of aquatic plants. Plants that fall into these ferns are found in the rice field, ponds, lakes, swamps and rivers. This plant has a very distinctive morphology of its leaves resemble an umbrella shape that is composed of four petals facing child leaves. In the area of young clover Java is widely used as food. Utilization of clover water not only as food, water clover leaves and stems can also be used as drug . A research about peculiar properties of water clover for human health is very important to do, like antioxidant activity assay and qualitative bioactive compounds assay. The objectives of this research were to determine content, chemical compounds (water, lipid, protein, ash and crude fiber), antioxidant activity and bioactive compounds of water clover. Methods that used in this research were proximate analysis, quantitative antioxidant activity assay using DPPH method, and phytochemical method. Water clover planted first in Laboratorim Characteristics of Raw Water Results, Aquatic Product Technology, FPIK, IPB. Crude extracts from water clover have antioxidant activity that measured as IC50 value. The IC50 value from chloroform extract, ethyl acetate extract, and methanol extract of water clover were 1285,39 ppm; 915,03 ppm dan 634,73 ppm, respectively. The crude extracts of water clover contained 6 bioactive compounds, i.e alkaloid, steroid/triterpenoid, flavonoid, carbohydrate, reducing sugar and free amino acid. These compounds suspected have positive physiology functions for human health, so that water clover can be used for raw material of nutraceutical. Abstract

This research is intended to examine the influence of environmental uncertainty and entrepreneurship’s characteristics on business competencies and Small Micro businesses’ performance in Municipality of Balikpapan. Data analysis is conducted by using path analysis with AMOS program software. The result of the research illustrated the following: environmental uncertainty negatively and not significantly affected to the business competencies, entrepreneurship’s characteristics significantly and essentially affected to the business competencies of small micro businesses and not significantly and essentially affected to the performance of small micro businesses, business competencies not significantly affected to the performance of small micro businesses. This research suggest that the Micro and Small Business must have clear management to allow the more efficient and effective business activity implementation. Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the nomological relations among market-orientation, entrepreneuship-orientation, learning-orientation and innovativeness in medium-sized business (SMEs). The study involves a questionnaire-based survey of owners from small-medium sized-firms operating in Purbalingga regency. A total of 150 usable questionnaires were received from SMEs. These were subjected to a Partial Least squares (PLS) analysis. The results show that firm learning-orientation and firm market-orientation positively influences firm innovativeness; firm market-orientation positively impacts firm learning orientation; firm learning-orientation mediates the relationship between firm market-orientation and firm innovativeness. This study has implications for SEMs aiming at increasing their innovativeness based on its orientation on market and organization learning. Abstract

Entrepreneurial research among female undergraduate students has become more important these days. This study is to investigate the role of self-efficacy and personality dimension (openness to experience) based on Theory of Planned Behavior. Survey conducted to 7 female students of Maluku Utara. Hypotheses tested using Partial Least Square. The result showed that subjective norm has the stronger relationship with entrepreneur as a career for female undergraduate students. Interestingly, self-efficacy was not significant determinant of entrepreneurial intentions in this study, contrary to earlier studies. Abstract

Analisis kelayakan finansial dilakukan untuk membantu UKM Aneka Sari melihat kelayakan usaha pengembangan yang akan dijalankan. Beberapa hal yang dikaji dan dalam analisis kelayakan finansial antara lain biaya investasi dan produksi, harga pokok penjualan, dan kriteria kelayakan usaha yang meliputi Break Even Point (BE ), Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period ( ), dan Incremental Rate of Return dan Ratio B/C. Hasil perhitungan kelayakan finansial UKM Aneka Sari adalah, akan mencapai BEP dengan menjual produk sebanyak 15.560 kg atau senilai Rp. 21.783.556 setiap bulannya. NPV senilai Rp 119.278.467,41, Payback Perode selama 2 tahun 9 bulan, IRR senilai 71,2 % serta Ratio B/C 1.13 di tahun pertama dan 1,45 pada tahun kedua dan ketiga. Abstract

Telah dilakukan kajian penentuan logam berat dengan atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS) menggunakan metode solid phase extraction (SPE). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penentuan logam berat tembaga (Cu) kadmium (Cd), dan timbal (Pb) dengan AAS menggunakan metode solid phase extraction (SPE) dapat dilakukan dengan adsorben kitin terimobilisasi ditizon. Adsorbsi logam tembaga (Cu) dan cadmium (Cd) optimum pada pH maksimal 6 sedangkan adsorbsi logam timbal (Pb) optimum pada pH maksimal 5. Penentuan logam tembaga (Cu) menggunakan metode solid phase extraction (SPE) dapat optimum dengan faktor pemekatan 4 kali dengan recovery 100 %, sedangkan logam kadmium (Cd) dapat optimum dengan faktor pemekatan 1,37 kali dan recovery 34 % dan timbal (Pb) optimum dengan faktor pemekatan 2,90 kali dan 72 %. Abstract

This study aimed to demonstrate the use of MIMIC Model methods to identify items that tend to bias when measuring individual attributes. Individuals attribute, which were explored in this study was entrepreneurship interest, which was reviewed by sexes. Participants in this study were students ( N = 129) with the percentage of 54 percent of men and 64 percent of women. Measurement instruments used in this study was Entrepreneurship Interest Scale, which was composed four dimensions, namely self-development, progression, variation of activity and independence. Analysis showed that of 27 items in the entirely scale contain two items from progression dimensions tends to be biased measured when examined by sexes. The first item measure entrepreneurship interest related to challenging while the second item measure interest in competition. Both items were proven beneficial to men than women, although both sexes have the same level of entrepreneurship interest. The presence of items bias when measuring showed that such items are less relevant to the dimensions measured. Challenges and competition are the pillars of successful entrepreneurship; however, measurements of these two indicators are susceptible to measurement bias. Therefore, measurements on both indicators need to be done carefully in order to provide accurate information.Keywords : Mimic Model, Item Bias, Entrepreneurship interest

Abstract

Gempa tahun 2006 di Kabupaten Bantul telah membuktikan bahwa sektor rumah tinggal menderita kerugian terbesar yang mencapai 52,4% dari total kerugian. Hal ini terutama disebabkan karena banyak rumah-rumah tinggal yang tidak menerapkan elemen-elemen struktur tahan gempa. Meskipun penerapan elemen-elemen struktur tahan gempa akan menambah biaya pembangunan rumah, masyarakat perlu diberi pemahaman yang baik tentang besarnya manfaat yang dapat dipetik dari penambahan biaya tersebut. Tujuan paper ini adalah untuk menganalisis keefektifan penambahan biaya pada penerapan elemen-elemen struktur tahan gempa pada rumah tinggal melalui analisis rasio manfaat-biaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebuah rumah di Kabupaten Sleman yang berada di zone ancaman gempa dengan PGA di batuan dasar 0,2 g – 0,25 g menurut peta gempa 2010. Rumah tersebut sudah menerapkan elemen-elemen struktur tahan gempa. Nilai manfaat dihitung dengan selisih antara nilai kerusakan antara rumah dengan elemen struktur tahan gempa (rumah eksisting) dan rumah yang sama (diasumsikan) apabila tidak menerapkan elemen struktur tahan gempa. Penilaian kerusakan rumah dilakukan dengan penilaian subyektif dari 4 ahli kegempaan yang terlibat aktif dalam penanganan gempa tahun 2006 di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Skenario gempa yang digunakan adalah skenario gempa dengan PGA 0,225 g sesuai dengan peta gempa 2010. Nilai biaya dihitung dengan biaya elemen struktur tahan gempa yang meliputi sloof, kolom, balok latei, dan balok ring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai keefektifan biaya (diukur dengan rasio manfaat dan biaya) pada skenario gempa apabila terjadi gempa pada tahun ke_0, ke_10, ke_20, ke_30, ke_40, atau ke_50 berturut-turut adalah 11,61; 13,93; 16,63; 21,24; 29,64, dan 41,98. Nilai rasio ini membentuk kurva dengan persamaan regressi Y = 10,77 x 1,026 x, yang mengindikasikan bahwa nilai keefektifan penerapan elemen tahan gempa pada rumah tinggal bergerak naik secara logaritmis. Abstract

Desa Mitra (Partners Village) DPPM UII is the embodiment of catur dharma UII, which is a program of community development and rural area development based on thematic local potential and sustainable. DesaMitra program has been done a long time, but intensively measured and planned starting in 2006. Collaborative research with the community, the diffusion of science and technology, community service is a program developed in the DesaMitra program supported from internal funds UII, external funds DIKTI and / or CSR from various companies. To measure the achievement of the objectives and benefits of the DesaMitra program is needed evaluation and mapping studies. Evaluation includes the fruit-fullness of the program, the community understanding and their awareness for self-sustained. Evaluation by purposive random sampling of the dozens DesaMitra acquired 7 villages, namely: Sendangagung, Sendangsari, Wukirsari, Sindumartani, Cokrodiningratan, which is located in the district of Sleman and Yogyakarta municipality. The results obtained 5 villages to be developed in near future considered their potential has not been developed, high motivation from community and supportsother related program. Abstract

To prepare  students to be an entrepreneur, Entrepreneurship courses should be given in the  college that equip them with hard skills and soft skills of entrepreneurship. In practice, the learning of Entrepreneurship needs to be evaluated, in order to identify what is important in Entrepreneurship courses and also to measure students satisfaction with the learning so far. This study was conducted to assess the evaluation of learning of Entrepreneurship courses in a higher education, especially at the University of Surabaya by measuring the satisfaction level of students on this course. Evaluation was conducted through survey by distributing questionnaires to a number of active students who have taken the course of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (KWI) in Semester 2013/2014 at several faculties. The analysis of the level of interest could identify five important variables on that course, i.e. the practical activities need to be done to give students experience in the business, a guest lecture tells the success story to be entrepreneurs, KWI inspires many ideas for opening a new business , KWI arouse interest in entrepreneurship, as well as the courses provides an opportunity for 'learning by doing'. Through the satisfaction analysis can be listed five variables with the highest satisfaction, such as covering practical activities need to be done to give students experience in the business a guest lecture tells success story be entrepreneurs, KWI materials include hard skills and soft skills as an entrepreneur, the lecturer understand the material presented , and lecturer can motivate students to be an entrepreneur. Then from the comparison of the level of importance and level of satisfaction will be known the strenghts that should be maintained and also the weaknesses that need to be improved. The results of this study can provide an input and as a basis to increase the quality of Entrepreneurship and Innovation course further. Keywords : learning evaluation, importance level, satisfaction level, entrepreneurship
