The existence of school libraries can provide benefits for students to search for the information needed, as a place to work on their tasks, looking for entertaining reading materials or just to fill their spare time while on a break. The school library becomes to foster students reading interest if the collection is adapted to the students needs. The SMA 3 Depok Library is a school library that has a library collection from fiction and non-fiction. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the availability of library collections which included the relevance and completeness of collections, and the collection updates in order to foster studentsâ interest in reading. The research method used the quantitative method through descriptive survey conducted on students of class XI SMA 3 Depok, with a population of 408 students. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random sampling with a total sample of 81 students. Data were obtained through a questionnaire, observation, interview, and literature study. The result of this research indicated, the library collection was quite relevant, the collection of books fulfilled the completeness of the collection, however the non-book collection did not exist yet; moreover, the library collection was in accordance with the latest development of knowledge. So, based on the three indicators previously mentioned, SMA 3 Depok studentsâ reading interest has developed which is shown by the high frequency of reading interest. The library in 3 SMA in Depok should be provided with adequate facilities to support the use of library collections.

The school library is not yet a favorite place for elementary school students. Many Â factors have contributed to this, among other the types of books available, unreliable library time, non-permanent librarians, even the scorn of friends who think of reading in the library as behavior that pretending to diligent. Many factors have contributed to this, such as the types of books available, unreliable library time, non-permanent librarians, even the scorn of friends who think of reading in the library as pretending to be diligent and smart, which cause students to be reluctant to regularly visit the library. Hence, classroom teachers need to reaffirm the library functions and persuade students to visit and utilize facilities in the library. This article presents the evaluation results of students attitude after receiving information about the library described by the classroom teacher. The method used in this study was descriptive study, with fourth-grade students of an elementary primary school as the object, data collection techniques used questionnaires, and data analysis used a single tabulation based on quantitative data. The results showed that students had a better attitude toward school libraries, from the cognitive aspects were such as knowledge, trust, and assessment, and the affective as well as conative aspects. Therefore, it is expected that schools through the classroom teacher can intensively spread information about the function of school libraries, and improve library facilities and services to the students, so they are accustomed to using the library as a first step in forming the love-literacy generation.Â

This study aimed to find out the use of open library digital library servicesÂ in meeting the information needs of Telkom University students. The study used the qualitative method with case study approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews with Telkom University students, observation, and literature study. Study results showed that the initial stage was based on the motivation and goals arising from self-awareness and the need to increase knowledge in completing tasks and scientific works (thesis/TA). Browsing began with authentication using an SSO account (Igracias), and information retrieval began with using a simple search facility. Students also used the internet to access various other sources with the Google search engine to further enrich the required information. Then, At the formulation stage, students conducted brainstorming by learning and understanding the problem-solving process related to the appropriate topic and discussing it with friends, lecturers, or people who were considered understandable and could be invited to discuss related topics that were being deepened. The collection stage was done by downloading the file and storing it in their laptop folder. At the presentation stage, students would feel satisfied after getting the information so it is possible to do monitoring. Â The presentation was performed in the form of writing a new document or as a complement in both the completion of lecture assignmentsÂ (proposal and paper) as well as the writing of scientific papers (thesis/TA).Â Â

The development of information technology has provided many changes in all aspects of online and offline life. This development requires the readiness of all lines to adjust to the needs of the changes, which are to support the realization of good government administration and the improvement of the quality of public services. This study aimed to determine the perceived usefulness of digital archive management using Dinamic Filing Information Systems (SIKD). The study used a descriptive quantitative approach. Data collection technique used questionnaires and was measured using the Likert scale. The instrument validity test used logical validity with expert judgment; reliability was measured using the Alpha Cronbach formula with coefficient value 0.796. Subjects of the study were a total of 19 educational staff of the Faculty of Education Yogyakarta State University. The result revealed that 78.9% of respondents claimed that Dinamic Filing Information Systems (SIKD) improved their performance. 94.8% of respondents stated that SIKD improved user productivity, and all respondents acknowledged that their perfomance increased due to the use of SIKD. Thus, SIKD provides the performance of an archive information system which is useful for archive management in Faculty of Education Yogyakarta State University and users are satisfied with this SIKD.Â

Information needs are necessary for humans to answer questions that are in the mind, in order to enhance their professions or main activities. The needs of each person are influenced by different situations, cognitions and physiological backgrounds. All aspects of human life require information which is expected to continuously support the improvement of life patterns toward increasing complexities. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the relationship of information seeking behavior by military instructors with the learning outcomes of transportation briefing of the Indonesian Army in Cimahi. This study used the correlational research method with the Spearman rank statistical test; study results showed: 1) a positive relationship between the information seeking behavior of the initiation phase and learning outcomes of transportation briefing; 2) a positive relationship between the information seeking behavior of the selection phase and the learning outcomes of transportation briefing; 3) a positive relationship between the information retrieval behavior of the exploration stage and the learning outcomes of transportation briefing; 4) a positive relationship between the information seeking behavior of the formulation stage and the learning outcomes of transportation briefing; 5) a positive relationship between the information collection stage collection behavior and the learning outcomes of transportation briefing; and 6) a positive relationship between the information seeking behavior of the presentation stage and the learning outcomes of transportation briefing. In conclusion, there is a positive relationship between information seeking behavior by military instructors and the learning outcomes of transportation briefing.

The Sundanese language becomes one of the regional languages in the Indonesian Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC)âs notation 499.2232. The knowledge of Sunda has become a representation of the language used by the Sunda ethnicity in ancient and present times, thus it is necessary to record the development of language science and Sundanese literature into the DDC system in the library. This study aimed to extend the Deweyâs Classification notation in the field of the Sundanese language and literature. The scope of this study was to review the Indonesian and Sundanese language and literature notations in the 23rd edition of DDC Classification System, the development of knowledge about the Sundanese language and Sundanese literature, as well as the extension of the notation on the subjects. The research used a qualitative method using a descriptive. The result of this study was the extension of the Sundanese language and literature subject notation to complete the DDC classification scheme, which then would be submitted to the Library Material Development and Information Services in the National Library of Indonesia. Furthermore, the development of knowledge of the Sundanese language and literature that have been published in various forms of publication, to date can be represented by some more specific classification notation under the notation 499.223 2 for the Sundanese language and under notation 899.223 2 for the Sundanese literature. The notation will also provide benefits in the management of library materials as a representation of information contained in various publications on the Sundanese language and literature.

The âPandai Sikekâ weaving activity is a form of cultural communication through the maternal line (matrilineality) which upholds values and norms. Values and norms of the âsongketâ culture are governed by the peopleâs belief that there was an ancestral sacred oath. The local people make information fosters the development of knowledge. This promotes the transformation of knowledge as a form of local knowledge development of the Pandai Sikek community which is fully supported by the community and by the use of media as well. The purpose of this study was to look at the communication pattern of the weaver, employer and government in the transformation process of local knowledge. The research method used was qualitative with ethnographic approach. The main data were collected by unstructured interview, observation and documentation study. The communication pattern among weavers was circular, involving experience, information sharing, application, knowledge, and innovation. Study results indicated the existence of a pattern by the weaverâs community, were experiences shared through information sharing, and then applied to create knowledge. The use of knowledge would result in innovation and then became an experience again.Â Entrepreneurs became the bridge for cooperation to support the economy of society. The government issued a policy of protection and knowledge preservation through HAKI (Intellectual Property Rights). In conclusion, the transformation of knowledge continues to develop the socio-economic life of society containing values, norms, and beliefs, which has been performed from generation to generation.
