Abstract

This study aims to find effective ways to teach using the demonstration and experimentation.The method used was action research with the research procedure is divided into two cycles.Each cycle begins with planning, action, observation and reflection.The instrument used in this study consists of three types of teacher observation, questionnaire responses of students and the work of the students.Analysis of the data processed by descriptive refers to the process and results of student work.The results showed that the use of demonstration and experimental methods can improve psychomotor skills, the use of blend and experimental demonstration method can increase the activity of students, and the use of demonstrations and experiments can be used by instructors as a teaching strategy.

Abstract

Assessment of student achievement needs to change, largely because today's students face a world that will demand new knowledge and abilities. In the global economy of the 21st century, students not only need to understand the basics, but also to think critically, to analyze, and to make inferences. In order to develop these skills, changes in assessment at school and classroom level are required. Classroom assessment is an effective strategy to improve the quality of learning to achieve the goals of creating graduates with holistic mastery of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor ability, according to the demands of human resources in the global era.

Abstract

Vocational education is oriented to the secondary educational in which focusing on the development of the student in order to be ready to work professionally and ready to improve their self-potential, in particular, field work. The aim of this paper is to analyze the constructivist approach to vocational education, the relationship between radical and social constructivist and the implementation of the career level on the voced. The result of this discussion to explain the relationship between radical constructivism and social constructivism is viewed the strong abilities. Radical constructivism related the construction mental structure and meaning by individual. After studying, the social constructivism is more focused the social interaction than the individual knowledge construction, the stressing of construction is shown about the meaning in the social interaction activities. Implementation would be successful about the career in the vocational education and needed the educators to make an active facilitator, particularly to guide the students by question with their assumptions and trained the students by reconstructing the new meaning of knowledge, so that students can be a good career.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi Korea Selatan menyebabkan meningkatnya minat pelajar Indonesia untuk belajar di Korea Selatan. Adaptasi budaya bagi masyarakat Korea menjadi suatu kebutuhan untuk dapat belajar dan hidup lebih nyaman karena para pelajar tersebut secara langsung merasakan pengalaman hidup di negara maju. Perbedaan budaya perlu diinformasikan dan disosialisasikan dalam media yang dapat dilihat dan dipahami sebagai bentuk komunikasi budaya antara dua budaya yang berbeda. Keberadaan media untuk menginformasikan perbedaan dengan jelas dan tidak menggurui akan memudahkan bagi siswa untuk mengetahui dan memahami budaya Korea Selatan dan lebih memudahkan mereka dalam proses adaptasi. Pesatnya perkembangan media sosial membuat Media ini bisa menjadi medium yang baik untuk penyebaran informasi tentang perbedaan budaya. Sosial Media dapat mencakup karya digital seperti grafik, video, film dan animasi. Animasi 2D dipilih sebagai media untuk menyampaikan informasi tentang perbedaan budaya. Animasi akan diaplikasikan pada media sosial. Animasi ini berdurasi singkat dan berseri sesuai dengan jumlah perbedaan budaya yang ada. Dirancang secara menarik dari segi visual untuk memuat komunikasi non verbal dan dilengkapi dengan audio untuk memuat bahasa dan nada ketika berkomunikasi antara Korea Selatan dan Indonesia.

Abstract

One of the serious problems faced by Vocational School (SMK) is currently low image perception in the community. Low interest in enrollment, low public supports in class implementation, low industry participation in vocational learning are several indicators of the poor image. This is certainly an obstacle to the successful development of vocational education efforts. Meanwhile, vocational education is an education that focuses on preparing Indonesian youth to enter their world of work. Thus, the condition becomes a challenge to principals‟ leadership in establishing image/promoting. Vocational education development has strong justified philosophical, social, economic and employment aspects. The process of building image requires proper marketing strategies including positioning, differentiation, and school excellence branding. Good image is believed to improve quality of inputs, increase industrial public confidence, increase communities‟ participation and pride to support vocational education, which in turn can improve quality of outputs and outcomes of the vocational education.

Abstract

The importance of the application of healthy behaviors in elementary schools need serious attention. Results of a preliminary study revealed the low student behavior, especially on the selection of healthy foods. Efforts to do one of them by conveying this information by using the right media health education. This study aimed to increase the knowledge of elementary school students through health education media "Smart with Your Foods". Implementation has been performed using a quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Research subjects are elementary school students. Respondents were divided into the experimental class and control class. This research reveals that "Smart with Your Foods" media effectively to enhance students' knowledge about the selection of healthy foods. Conclusion: This media is effective in improving the selection of foods knowledge for elementary school students

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pemenuhan standar tingkat kebisi ngan di sekolah, di mana sekolah yang diteliti adalah SMPN 23 Bandung yang berlokasi di kawasan pasar tradisonal Ciroyom. Penelitian ini dil akukan dengan cara mengukur tingkat kebisingan menggunakan Sound Level Meter dengan mengambil empat kelas sampel yang diteliti dal am keadaan kosong yang dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui kondisi kebisingan pada jam efektif belajar mengajar (hening). Dari penyebab-penyebab kebisingan tersebut kemudian dicari sol usi atau saran desai n untuk mengurangi tingkat kebisingan. Hasil penelitian di kelas sampel A adalah sebesar 61 dB, kelas sampel B adalah sebesar 58,3 dB, kelas sampel C adalah sebesar 53,5 dB, kelas sampel D adalah sebesar 56 dB, disimpulkan bahwa terdapat Tiga kelas sampel yang tidak memenuhi standar tingkat kebisingan kementrian lingkungan hidup sebesar 55 dB. Sumber kebisingan berasal dari kebisingan l al u l i ntas, kebisingan dari pemuki man padat penduduk, dan resonansi suara dilapangan yang diakibatkan oleh masa bangunan. Solusi yang digunakan untuk mereduksi kebisingan yang terjadi antara lain (1) menanam pohon di pagar depan sekolah, (2) menggunakan tamanan rambat disekitar pagar yang mengelilingi lapangan, (3) perubahan fungsi kelas dan organisasi ruang, (4) pengurangan presentase jendela dengan menggunakan gl assbl ock yang menghadap ke batas pemuki man penduduk, (5) dan perubahan masa bangunan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop an implementation model of production unit at Vocational High School that functions as learning resource and business place. The research method used is Research and Development. Sample units are 2 vocational high schools (public school) and 2 vocational high schools (private school). The results of the research are: The model of production unit at Vocational High School (VHS). This model has been tested limitedly with experts and party from Vocational High School and Department of Education and Culture of Manado City. Through this production model resulted, it can be suggested to party of school to manage the production unit that exists in each school very well as a form of services as well as to produce the goods

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create an animation-based learning media of corrosion processes in the subject of corrosion and coating. The media produced is a learning media program in the form of .swf file that can be directly installed and accessed on personal computer. This development research (RD) was started with concept exploration to find out the necessary product model, followed by its development through many test steps (expert judgment, limited test, and application test) and correction procedure until the proper product was determined.  The last step was an experimental process to validate the product. The research has result an animation-based interactive media which has good criteria according to the media expert judgment value of 78.3 %, students’ response of 83.0 % and subject matter expert judgment value of 89.0 %. Validity test show that the media has a significant effect to increase a number of students who reach minimum standard competency.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan di jurusan PKK, FTK Undiksha tahun 2013 yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang (1) penerapan model pembelajaran proyek berbasis budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran tata graha, (2) peningkatan kreativitas mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran tata graha melalui pembelajaran proyek berbasis budaya lokal, dan (3) respon mahasiswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran proyek berbasis budaya lokal. Penelitian ini melibatkan 24 orang mahasiswa dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan angket. Observasi digunakan untuk mengamati kreativitas mahasiswa, dan angket digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data respon mahasiswa. Pengamatan kreativitas mahasiswa dilakukan pada proses perancangan desain rangkaian bunga lokal, desain rangkaian bunga dipadukan dengan janur, proses merangkai bunga dengan janur, dan hasil rangkaian bunga dengan janur. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran proyek berbasis budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran tata graha dilakukan melalui 5 langkah yaitu (a)penentuan tema rangkaian bunga lokal dipadukan dengan janur, (b)penetapan konteks belajar dengan pemanfaatan bunga lokal dipadukan dengan janur, (c)merencanakan aktivitas melalui persiapan, pemilihan, dan pemakaian bunga lokal dipadukan dengan janur, (d)memproses aktivitas penggunaan bunga lokal dipadukan dengan janur, dan (e)penerapan aktivitas penyelesaian proyek berupa rangkaian bunga lokal dipadukan dengan janur. Terdapat peningkatan kreativitas pembelajaran graha melalui pembelajaran proyek berbasis budaya lokal sebesar 4,6 yaitu dari skor rata-rata sebesar 83,7 menjadi 88.3. Artinya peningkatan tersebut dari kategori baik menjadi sangat baik. Respon mahasiswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran proyek berbasis budaya lokal terkategori sangat baik.
