Abstract

ABSTRACT Cooperation included Village Unit Cooperation (VUC) is one of the Indonesia economy pillar which continuous have to be powered in order its performance more and more goo, so that can generate benefit to the member especially and society in generally. Goal of research that is: (1) Identify factors that influence performance of VUC in Bali Province; (2) Trace direct influence, indirect influence and total influence of indicators toward performance of VUC in Bali Province Bali. Collecting of data use structured interview method is dept interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis use methods: (1) Structural Equation Model (SEM), and (2) deskriptive-qualitatif. Result of analysis to find as follows: 1. Performance of Village Unit Cooperation (VUC) in Bali Province influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factor influenced by member participation factor, human resource, and activity, while management factor, liquidity, and solvability do not have effect on. Member participation factor influenced by the service user duration of VUC by member, frequency follow meetings of VUC, and do not influence by redemption of obligatory deposit and fundamental, knowledge about activity of cooperation (election of official member); Human resources factor influenced by amount employees, and training frequency and do not influence by education level; Activity factor influenced by inventory turn over ratio, ratio of working capital rotation, and ratio of receivable mean rotation; Management factor influenced by planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling; Factor of Liquidity influenced by rapid ratio, and do not influence by fluently ratio and cash ratio; Solvability factor influenced by debt ratio, debt ratio to equity, and long term liabilities ratio to equity; External factor influence by interest rate and inflation, and do not influence by construction frequency. 2. Direct, indirectly and totalize influence of construct Indicator toward performance of Village Unit Cooperation (VUC) in Bali Province, that is: (i) Internal Factor have direct influence equal to 0,42 and indirect influence equal to 0,00. So internal factor totally have an effect toward performance of VUC equal to 0,42, (ii) External factor have direct influence equal to 0,69 and indirect influence 0,00. So external factor totally have an effect toward performance of VUC equal to 0,69. Keyword: Factors, Performance, VUC, SEM ABSTRAK Koperasi termasuk Koperasi Unit Desa (KUD) adalah salah satu sokoguru perekonomian Indonesia yang terus-menerus harus diberdayakan agar kinerjanya semakin baik, sehingga mampu memberikan manfaat bagi anggota khususnya dan masyarakat pada umumnya. Tujuan penelitian yaitu: (1) Mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja KUD di Provinsi Bali; (2) Melacak pengaruh langsung, pengaruh tidak langsung dan pengaruh total dari indikator-indikator terhadap kinerja KUD di Provinsi Bali. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawacara terstruktur dan mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan metode: (1) Structural Equation Model (SEM), dan (2) deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil analisis menunjukan temuan penting sebagai berikut: 1.Kinerja koperasi unit (KUD) desa di Provinsi Bali dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal dipengaruhi oleh faktor peran serta anggota, sumber daya manusia (SDM) dan aktivitas secara signifikan, sedangkan faktor manajemen, likuiditas, solvabilitas tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Faktor peran serta anggota dipengaruhi oleh lamanya pengguna jasa KUD para anggota, frekuensi mengikuti rapat-rapat KUD secara signifikan, dan tidak dipengaruhi signifikan oleh pelunasan simpanan wajib dan pokok, pengetahuan tentang kegiatan koperasi (pemilihan pengurus); Faktor SDM dipengaruhi oleh jumlah karyawan dan frekuensi pelatihan secara signifikan dan tidak dipengaruhi signifikan oleh tingkat pendidikan; Faktor aktivitas dipengaruhi oleh rasio perputaran persediaan, rasio perputaran modal kerja, dan rasio perputaran rata-rata piutang; Sedangkan faktor tidak berpengaruh terhadap faktor internal yakni: faktor manajemen yang dipengaruhi oleh perencanaan, organisasi, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan; Faktor likuiditas dipengaruhi oleh rasio cepat dan tidak dipengaruhi oleh rasio lancar dan rasio kas; Faktor solvabilitas dipengaruhi oleh rasio hutang, rasio hutang terhadap equitas, dan rasio hutang jangka panjang terhadap equitas. Faktor eksternal dipengharuhi oleh suku bunga dan inflasi, dan tidak dipengaruhi oleh frekuensi pembinaan. 2. Pengaruh langsung, tidak langsung dan total dari Indikator konstruk terhadap Kinerja Koperasi Unit Desa di Provinsi Bali, yaitu: (i) Faktor internal mempunyai pengaruh langsung sebesar 0,42 dan pengaruh tidak langsung sebesar 0,00. Jadi faktor internal secara total berpengaruh terhadap kinerja KUD sebesar 0,42, (ii) Faktor eksternal mempunyai pengaruh langsung sebesar 0,69 dan pengaruh tidak langsung 0,00. Jadi faktor eksternal secara total berpengaruh terhadap kinerja KUD sebesar 0,69. Kata kunci: Faktor-Faktor, Kinerja, KUD, SEM

Abstract

Cluster is the strategy for regional development to support local economic potency. Theopinion of fisheries cluster will be developed closed to that strategy, with the aim to establishof fisheries industrial complex. In the fisheries cluster complex, the industrial units encourageto foster the harmonize link among others to increase the economic growth. Researchconcerning seaweed cluster was conducted in Sumenep (Madura) in May 2007. The locationwas choice as the target area for the establishment the fisheries cluster complex. The purposesof this research were: i). to identify and study the fisheries industrial cluster complexcharacteristics related to the development of fisheries industry. ii). To study the characteristicand pattern linkages among industrial units in fisheries center related to institutionaldevelopment. iii). to generate suggested recommendation for seaweed cluster industrialcomplex in Sumenep district. Data were collected through survey in the respected area; therespondents covered the local government officers, seaweed farmers, seaweed processors,local traders, exporters, local transportation services and local leaders. The research findingsare: there are many seaweed industry units in Sumenep which can be use as the maincomponent to organize for the establishment the seaweed industrial cluster complex, thereexist the horizontal conflict among traders and seaweed processors to have the seaweed fromthe farmers. On the other hand the vertical relationship among industrial unit tends to makeasymmetric information on price and product criteria between traders and seaweed farmers.This research recommended the seaweed cluster industrial complex in Sumenep developbased on: consumer oriented, collective and cumulative approach. And the development ofSumenep’s seaweed cluster need three step, namely: preparation step, consolidation step andindependency / transfer step. There are two types of industries which can be as a core of theseaweed clusters in Sumenep, there are the seaweed chip industry or the seaweed chip andpowder industry.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purworejo Regency is one of the most potential areas in Central Java which has high potency in the developing of Aloe Vera agro business. This fact inspires the writer to make a research aimed to search: (1) for the financial analysis of Aloe Vera agroindustry (nata de aloe); (2) for the added value from the process of nata dc aloe; and (3) for the strategy of developing the agro industry of nata de aloe. The writer uses the purposive method in determining the research object. And it is determined that PM Bagas Aji in Purworejo Regency is the object of the research. The result of the research shows that aloe vera agroindustry is profitable because its R/C value is bigger than one (1, 28); the actual total production are 5000 boxes and the actual revenue is Rp. 96.000.000,00,. Those numbers are bigger compared with the actual numbers when it reaches BEP, the total production are 1383 boxes and the total revenue is Rp. 26.457.377,00; it means that the added value is Rp. 1.574,00 per kg. The strategies to develop this business are improving the quality of the taste and the package of the product, investing more capital spreading the market, dan doing the efisiency production It is suggested that there must be financial development in Aloe Vera agro industry in Purworejo Regency. It is suggested that Bagas Aji Drinking Water Company should improve the quality of the taste and the package of the product and continue marketing it. The government should give financial support to promote the nata de aloe as one of the outstanding products in Purworejo Regency. Keywords: Financial Analysis; Added Value; Strategy of Developing ABSTRAK Kabupaten Purworejo merupakan salah satu daerah di Jawa Tengah yang berpotensi dalam pengembangan usahatani lidah buaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan, untuk mengetahui kelayakan finansial usaha agroindustri minuman lidah buaya (nata de aloe); kedua untuk mengetahui besarnya nilai tambah dari proses pengolahan minuman lidah buaya (nata de aloe); dan ketiga untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan usaha agroindustri minuman lidah buaya (nata de aloe). Penentuan Perusahaan Minuman Bagas Aji di Kabupaten Purworejo sebagai daerah penelitian dilakukan secara purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara finansial, usaha agroindustri minuman lidah buaya (nata de aloe) menguntungkan karena usaha tersebut memiliki nilai R/C lebih besar dari satu (1,28), jumlah produksi aktual (5000 kardus) dan penerimaan aktual (Rp96.000.000,00) lebih besar daripada jumlah produksi saat BEP (1.383 kardus) dan penerimaan saat BEP (Rp26.457.377,00). Nilai tambah yang diperoleh dari pengolahan pelepah lidah buaya menjadi minuman lidah buaya (nata de aloe) adalah sebesar Rp1.574,00 per kg lidah buaya. Strategi untuk mengembangkan agroindustri minuman lidah buaya (nata de aloe) dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan kualitas produk minuman berupa rasa dan kemasan, memperkuat permodalan, memperluas pasar melalui promosi, dan melakukan efisiensi produksi.Disarankan agar agroindustri di Kabupaten Purworejo terus dikembangkan karena secara finansial terbukti menguntungkan. Perusahaan PM Bagas Aji disarankan untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk dalam hal rasa dan kemasan yang menarik serta menjaga ketersediaan produk di pasaran. Perlu adanya dukungan dari pihak lembaga keuangan dalam upaya memperkuat permodalan dan pemerintah untuk mempromosikan minuman lidah buaya (nata de aloe) sebagai produk unggulan daerah Kabupaten Purworejo. Abstract

There has been a general concern that after the implementation of the regionalautonomy policy, the labor market performance tenfing to decline. This paper aims atanalysing various factors influencing the labour market, by making use of aneconometric model of simultaneous equation system employing a set of pooled or paneldata (combination of yearly time series and 30 subdistricts cross section in BogorRegency). The results showed that estimated parameters accord well with the theory.The estimated model is fairly good to explain the variation of labor market of BogorRegency, prior to as well as during the ongoing regional autonomy period. Among theresults, it is found that, in agricultural and service sectors, employment absorption foreducated and uneducated labours is higher during the autonomy than before theautonomy. The opposite happens in the industrial sector. In all sectors, investmentplays an important role in determining employment absorption. Together with labourproductivity, employment absorption positively affects gross domestic regionalproduct, which in turns influences a number of labour market variables.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Economy globalization and commerce liberalization the competition of rivalization and integration of commodity market, that requires the change of operational method of stakeholder system of vegetable business. This research was aimed to analyze the comparation of system process among stakeholder business, in order to formulize the model of stakeholder system of vegetable business which compitable. The system of stakeholder business which exist and on going in the overall locations are: General Trade Pattern, Marketing Contract Pattern, Nucleus Estate Smallholder Pattern, Agribusiness Operational Cooperation Pattern, Seedling Credit and Supervision Pattern, Cooperation on Development of Agribusiness Sub Terminal, Cooperation on capital preparation of Multi Business, Village Credit System, Credit Union, and Banking Systems. The affectivity of business stakeholder system on vegetable commodity in production central area have not shown the optimum working effort yet, due to the weakness of commitment among those who involve in the cooperation, lack of open management, there was no market and price guarantee of all vegetable commodities, as well as lack of supply guarantee for supplier or stakeholder company important. Policy implication of the condition above were the necessary to build the stakeholder system of vegetable business which needed, strengthening, and profitable among each other. Keywords: Institution, Business Stakeholder, Central Production, Vegetable ABSTRAK Globalisasi ekonomi dan liberalisasi perdagangan mendorong terjadinya persaingan yang semakin kompetitif serta pasar komoditas yang terintegrasi, sehingga menuntut adanya perubahan cara beroperasinya kelembagaan-kemitraan usaha sayuran. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menganalisis pola, aturan main dan pola interaksi antar kelembagaan, serta analisis perbandingan kinerja kelembagaan antar kemitraan usaha, sehingga dapat dirumuskan model kelembagaan kemitraan usaha komoditas sayuran yang berdayasaing. Kelembagaan kemitraan usaha yang eksis dan sedang berjalan di seluruh lokasi antara lain adalah : Pola Dagang Umum, Pola Kontrak Pemasaran, Pola Inti-Plasma, Pola Kerjasama Operasional Agribisnis, Pola Pembinaan dan Kredit Bibit, Kerjasama dalam rangka pengembangan Sub Terminal Agribisnis (STA), Kerjasama dalam penyediaan modal Koperasi Serba Usaha (KSU), Lembaga Perkreditan Desa (LPD), Credit Union dan lembaga perbankan. Efektivitas kelembagaan kemitraan usaha pada komoditas sayuran di daerah sentra produksi belum menunjukkan kinerja yang optimal karena lemahnya komitmen antara pihak-pihak yang bermitra, manajemen yang kurang transparan, belum adanya jaminan pasar dan harga pada semua komoditas sayuran serta kurang adanya jaminan pasokan bagi supplier atau perusahaan mitra. Implikasi kebijakan penting dari kondisi di atas adalah pentingnya membangun kelembagaan kemitraan usaha komoditas sayuran yang dapat saling membutuhkan, memperkuat dan saling menguntungkan. Abstract

Economic development is a dynamic process in medium or long term that bringsimpact on social economics’ structural change in rural community. The social economictransformation can be as sectoral shiftment or employment, institutional, and norms amongwherein community. Macro data assessment shows that sectoral economic shifts faster thanemployment shiftment. The objective of this paper is to analyze: (1) Macro Employment;(2) Migration scheme of rural labor; (3) Identification activity type in the origin; (4) Drivenand apathetic factors of rural labor migration; and (5) The utility scheme of migration inhousehold economy. Macro description (1990 – 2005) on population migration in threerepresentative provinces shows that immigration less than emigration. In general view ofthat, population move consistently from producer area of agricultural product in the rural tourban area. There two schemes of representative rural migration. Migration scheme in wetland area is seasonal, while one in dry land tends to be constant. The aggregate shows thatmain driven factor of household member to migrate in two type of agro ecosystem is thelimited employment in rural area; in contrary apathetic factors in destination area is higheropportunity of job. Living cost payment is major utility scheme that resulted of householdmember migration, particularly for household consumption, school fee, house renovation,and saving.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Many indicator can use for measuring food security, one of that is food expenditure share. The objective of this research are in order to: (1) account individual food expenditure share and (2) analyze the relation of food expenditure share and food security. The econometrics approach was used to analyze the available data. This analysis is using Susenas data for 1996, 1999, and 2002 and province PDRB data 2002. The result was indicated that food expenditure share is feasible as indicator for food security because had strong relation with some measuring of food security e.g. consumption, food diversivication, and income. Keywords: Food Security, Indicator, Food Expenditure Share ABSTRAK Banyak indikator yang dapat digunakan untuk melihat ketahanan pangan, satu diantaranya adalah pangsa pengeluaran pangan penduduk. Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) menghitung pangsa pengeluaran pangan penduduk pada berbagai kelompok pendapatan dan wilayah pemukiman, dan (2) menganalisis hubungan pangsa pengeluaran pangan dan ketahanan pangan. Untuk mencapai tujuan itu digunakan data Susenas tahun 1996, 1999, dan tahun 2002 serta data PDRB provinsi tahun 2002 yang bersumber dari BPS. Data yang ada dianalisis dengan pendekatan ekonometrika teknik Ordinary Least Squares yang dilengkapi dengan pendekatan deskriptif dengan teknik tabulasi dan grafik. Hasil analisis menyimpulkan bahwa pangsa pengeluaran pangan layak dijadikan indikator ketahanan pangan karena mempunyai hubungan yang erat dengan berbagai ukuran ketahanan pangan yaitu tingkat konsumsi, keanekaragaman pangan, dan pendapatan. Abstract

This study is competitive increasing strategy of Indonesian white pepper (muntok whitepepper). The main objective of this study are : 1) The analysis supply for export whitepepper from Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil and Singapore; 2) The analysis demand for importwhite pepper by United State of America, European Economy Community, Japan, Singaporeand ROW. The results of supply export white pepper from Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil andSingapore in the short run is inelastic. In the long run supply export white pepper fromIndonesia, Malaysia, and Brazil is elastic, meanwhile Singapore is inelastic. The result ofdemand for import white pepper by United State of America, European EconomyCommunity, and Japan an ROW in the short run is inelastic, meanwhile Singapore is elastic.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dampak pariwisata terhadap solidaritas sosial masyarakat adat di Ubud. Analisis sosiologi diaplikasikan pada dua tipe masyarakat adat: Subak Padangtegal dan Desa Adat Junjungan. Enam puluh responden dipilih secara purposive untuk menilai dampak pariwisata terhadap enam variable solidaritas sosial melalui depth-interview dipadukan dengan participant-observation, yaitu: (1) rasa saling memiliki atau simpati sebagai sebuah komunitas, (2) kemauan dan kesediaan untuk berkorban kepada anggota komunitasnya, (3) kekhawatiran, kecemasan, dan tekanan dalam komunitas, (4) tanggung jawab moral, (5) persahabatan dan persaudaraan dalam komunitas, dan (6) keramahtamahan, tatakrama dalam komunitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di secara umum baik di Subak Padangtegal dan Desa Adat Junjungan pariwisata berdampak positif terhadap solidaritas sosial dengan pengecualian dampak negatif pada variable tekanan dalam komunitas dan pada Subak Padangtegal ditemukan pada variabel tanggung jawab moral. ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to examine tourism impact on social solidarity in Ubud customary communities. Sociological analysis is grounded on two types of customary communities: Subak Padangtegal and Desa Adat Junjungan. Sixty respondents were chosen to assess six social solidarity variables through depth-interview combined with participant observation methods as follows: (1) feelings of belonging together or sympathy as a community, (2) feelings of altruism to community members, (3) community distress, (4) moral obligation, (5) friendship, and (6) politeness and courtesy of people in the village. Research finding shows that, in general, both in Subak Padangtegal and Desa Adat Junjungan, tourism influenced social solidarity in positive ways with some exceptions were found on community distress variable and in Subak Padangtegal was also on moral obligation variable. Abstract

ABSTRACT Ethics is a branch of philosophy related with kindliness or rightness or morality of behavior of human being. In this understanding ethics interpreted as rules which cannot be impinged from behavior which accepted by society as well or bad. While determination of good and bad is a problem always change. Ethics of business is standards of value becoming reference or guidance of manager and whole employees in decision making and operate business which ethics. Ethics paradigm and business is world differ its time has come altered to become ethics paradigm related to business or synergy between ethics and profit. Exactly in tight competition era, company reputation which good and based on by business ethics is an advantage competitive which difficult to be imitated. Therefore, ethics behavior is needed to reach long-range success in a business. Keywords: Ethics, Business, Moral ABSTRAK Etika adalah suatu cabang dari filosofi yang berkaitan dengan ”kebaikan (rightness)” atau moralitas (kesusilaan) dari perilaku manusia. Dalam pengertian ini etika diartikan sebagai aturan-aturan yang tidak dapat dilanggar dari perilaku yang diterima masyarakat sebagai baik atau buruk. Sedangkan Penentuan baik dan buruk adalah suatu masalah selalu berubah. Etika bisnis adalah standar-standar nilai yang menjadi pedoman atau acuan manajer dan segenap karyawan dalam pengambilan keputusan dan mengoperasikan bisnis yang etik. Paradigma etika dan bisnis adalah dunia yang berbeda sudah saatnya dirubah menjadi paradigma etika terkait dengan bisnis atau mensinergikan antara etika dengan laba. Justru di era kompetisi yang ketat ini, reputasi perusahaan yang baik yang dilandasi oleh etika bisnis merupakan sebuah competitive advantage yang sulit ditiru.
