Abstract

Maju Bersama Mandiri Fishermen's Group Galapung Tanjung Sani, Tanjung Raya, Agam Regency is unable to: 1) Carry out magot cultivation to improve the family's economy as well as an effort to reduce the amount of waste, 2) Carry out magot processing as an alternative fish feed in order to increase family economy. Based on the urgent needs of the Maju Bersama Mandiri Fishermen's Group Galapung Tanjung Sani, Tanjung Raya, Agam Regency, for them Lake Maninjau is the main source of livelihood and economy for their families (Lake Maninjau is one of the critical lakes which is a super priority lake to be saved through the government's revitalization program ). So the solution offered to solve the problem of the Maju Bersama Mandiri Fishermen's Group Galapung Tanjung Sani, Tanjung Raya, Agam Regency is: 1) Workshop and assistance in magot cultivation as a green economy solution in the context of revitalizing save maninjau, 2) Workshop and assistance in processing magot into alternative fish food as a green economy solution in the context of revitalizing save maninjau The targets to be achieved through this PKM activity are as follows: 1) 20 fishermen who are members of Maju Bersama Mandiri Fishermen's Group Galapung Tanjung Sani, Tanjung Raya, Agam Regency are able to carry out magot cultivation as a green economy solution in the context of revitalizing save maninjau, 2) 20 fishermen who are members of Maju Bersama Mandiri Fishermen's Group Galapung Tanjung Sani, Tanjung Raya, Agam Regency are able to process magot into alternative fish food as a green economy solution in the context of revitalizing save maninjau.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the TGT type cooperative learning model on the material of the earth's structure and its dynamics on the knowledge competence of students at SMPN 01 Ulakan Tapakis. The research method used is a quantitative method. The form of this research is classroom action research. The nature of this research is collaboration with classroom action research design. The subjects of this study were seventh grade students of SMPN 01 Ulakan Tapakis. The collected data is processed and analyzed by calculating percentages and numbers. The study was conducted with a pretest and posttest in the experimental class and control class. The data obtained by the average pretest and posttest results in the experimental class was 40.19 and increased to 61.54. In the control class that is 41.35 and rose to 47.69. the similarity test of the two averages obtained is 5.22. Where the similarity test of the two averages is obtained from the N-gain value. The similarity test of two averages serves to see whether there is an increase or not in the treatment before and after. From the data above, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the treatment of the TGT type cooperative learning model on the knowledge competence of students at SMPN 01 Ulakan Tapakis.

Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the percentage of students' mastery of science process skills at SMPN 30 Padang. The type of research used is mixed methods, which combines quantitative and qualitative research. The data collection technique was carried out by means of a written test of 20 multiple choice questions and conducting interviews as supporting data. The results obtained are in the form of percentage mastery of science process skills per indicator. Then grouped based on 5 categories, namely very less, less, enough, good, very good. Percentage of science process skills obtained by observation/observing 42%; classification/grouping 37%; interpretation 45.5%; predicting 29%; asking questions 24%; hypothesized 37%; planning an experiment 34.5%; using tools and materials 60%; apply concept 19% and communicate 50%.

Abstract

Education is an activity carried out by teachers and students to improve knowledge, skills, character and problem solving in life. Critical thinking skills possessed by learners can be used in solving a problem that may be encountered in everyday life or natural phenomena that arise. The use of effective and interesting learning models can affect the level of critical thinking skills in students. This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning model assisted by question cards on additive and addictive substances on critical thinking skills of students in class VIII SMP N 38 Padang. The type of research used is quasy experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The experimental class used a problem-based learning model, while the control class used a conventional learning model with lecture and question and answer methods. The results of data analysis showed hypothesis testing based on pretest data, namely Tcount -0.49 < Ttabel 2.06 and postest Tcount 8.22 > Ttabel 2.06. N-gain data of experimental class 0.72 (high) and control class 0.24 (medium). The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of problem-based learning model assisted by question cards on the material of additives and addictive substances on the critical thinking skills of students in class VIII SMP 38 N Padang.

Abstract

The Kurikulum Merdeka provides freedom for schools, educators and students to innovate, learn creatively and independently. Then, along with the technology development, teachers are also demanded to innovate materials for teaching to help the process of learning in related with the curriculum. The results of observations in the field shown that the material for teaching used have few practice questions related to daily life and the material is quite dense, so teaching materials are needed that contain more questions related to daily life. To overcome this problem, the innovation provided is an Integrated Science E-module Oriented to Problem Based Learning. The research aims are to produce an Integrated Science E-Module Oriented to Problem Based Learning on Organ System Material that is has validity and practicality to use for class VIII SMP students. The research type used is research and development (R&D), using a 4-D model which have 4 phases, that are define, design, develop and disseminate. However, the research just conducted until the development phase. The instruments in this research were a validation questionnaire sheet and a practicality questionnaire sheet. The test of validity results obtained a value of 83.43% in the category in very valid. The test of practicality results by the teacher obtained a score of 98.61% in the category in very practical and the test of practicality results by students obtained a score of 89.51% in the category in very practical. According on these results, the conclusion that the Integrated Science E-Module with Problem Based Learning Orientation on Organ System Material has met the valid and practical category for use by class VIII SMP students.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The definition of death is stated in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia, this law explains the diagnostic criteria for clinical death and brain stem death. In forensic medicine, we study death, changes after death, and what is behind these changes. Forensic and Medicolegal Department of RSUP Dr. M. Djamil has a body register book which contains data on the deaths of incoming bodies containing name, gender, age, registration number, diagnosis, actions taken and so on. However, there has been no research regarding the alleged cause and manner of death at Dr. M. Djamil Padang. The aim of this study was to determine the description of deaths at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang in 2018-2022. This research is a descriptive study which takes data from the body register book which is entered into the Forensic and Medicolegal Department of RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang 2018-2022. The number of bodies entered into the Forensic and Medicolegal Department of RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang from 2018 to 2022 is 16,765 bodies. Every year more than 50% of deaths occur in men with the largest age group being the late elderly at 24.2%-25.6% per year and 46.1%-53.1% per year of deaths from West Sumatra outside Padang. The largest group of causes of death based on ICD-10 is the group of symptoms, signs and other disorders at 33%-45% per year with the most frequent diagnoses being septic shock and MODS. Deaths occurring outside hospitals are less than 2% per year. The percentage of unnatural deaths is below 7% per year, of which as many as 40.5%-78.1% per year are not examined because of refusal from the family. Description of death at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang is relatively same every year. Keywords: Forensics, Cause of Death, Description of Death  ABSTRAK Definisi kematian tercantum dalam Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia, yang menjelaskan tentang kriteria diagnosis mati klinis dan mati batang otak. Dalam kedokteran forensik dipelajari tentang kematian, perubahan setelah kematian, dan apa yang melatarbelakangi perubahan tersebut. Departemen Forensik dan Medikolegal RSUP Dr. M. Djamil memiliki buku register jenazah yang berisi data kematian jenazah yang masuk berisi nama, jenis kelamin, usia, nomor registrasi, diagnosis, tindakan yang dilakukan dan sebagainya. Namun, belum ada penelitian terkait dugaan sebab dan cara kematian di RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kematian di RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang pada tahun 2018-2022. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dimana mengambil data dari buku register jenazah yang masuk ke Departemen Forensik dan Medikolegal RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang tahun 2018-2022. Jumlah jenazah yang masuk ke Departemen Forensik dan Medikolegal RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang tahun 2018 hingga 2022 adalah 16.765 jenazah. Setiap tahunnya lebih dari 50% kematian pada laki-laki dengan kelompok usia terbanyak masa lansia akhir sebesar 24,2%-25,6% pertahun dan 46,1%-53,1% pertahun jenazah dari Sumatera Barat diluar Padang. Kelompok penyebab kematian berdasarkan ICD-10 yang terbanyak adalah kelompok gejala, tanda, dan kelainan lainnya sebesar 33%-45% pertahun dengan diagnosis terbanyak syok sepsis dan MODS. Kematian yang terjadi diluar rumah sakit kurang dari 2% pertahun. Persentase mati tidak wajar berada dibawah 7% pertahun, dimana sebanyak 40,5%-78,1% pertahun tidak dilakukan pemeriksaan karena penolakan dari pihak keluarga. Gambaran kematian di RSUP Dr. M. Abstract

Student learning outcomes are often unsatisfactory due to learning methods that still dominantly use lectures and do not actively involve students. This method tends for making learner passive at studying. For improving this situation and make learning more effective, it so urgent for overhaul the teaching oncoming. One way is for integrate learning models that involve STEM components. The focus through the following discussion the aim is to find out “the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model with a STEM approach on the learning outcomes of grade VIII students at SMPN 3 Lubuk Basung”.This research used a quasi-experimental design by Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. This research population consisted of VIII grade students at SMPN 3 Lubuk Basung for the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample method used was purposive sampling, where one VIII grade was selected being experimental group also the other VIII class being control group. The instruments using this study included multiple choice experiment of 20 questions also a student response questionnaire. Data analysing has been implemented with “normality test, homogeneity test, and non-parametric test, namely Mann-Whitney test”. The survey of learner proves that most of them give positive responses to application of the Discovery Learning model by STEM approach through a ratio 45% of learner agreeing (S) and 52% strongly agreeing (SS). The hypothesis experimental results show significant figures with large 0.000 <0.05, meaning that the application of this model significantly improved student learning outcomes compared to the Discovery Learning model that did not integrate STEM. The N-Gain testing at experimental group reached 0.8594 which is included at high classification. The teaching use with the STEM-based Discovery Learning model was recorded at 97%. This finding shows thats the using Discovery Learning combined by STEM approach found positively and significant effect at learner understanding of introduction to cell material.

Abstract

Background: Science literacy is the capacity to use clinical information to pick out troubles and draw conclusions based totally on proof so that you can understand and make selections approximately nature and modifications made to nature via human activities. Based on PISA data and preliminary study data, the literacy of science competencies of Indonesian students is still low. One of the learnings that has a positive influence on science literacy is problem-based learning (PBL). Methods: This study applied the Quasi Experiment method with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Gunung Talang, Solok Regency, West Sumatra in class VII in the 2023/2024 school year. Results: The average value of the experimental class is higher than the average of the control class on the posttest data. The hypothesis test results show that t'count 3.372 is greater than t'table 2.008, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Conclusion: The application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model affects the science literacy skills of students in Indonesian Ecology and Biodiversity material.
