Abstract

AbstractVocabularies are the most important component in language; therefore vocabulary learning is necessary because listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills require vocabularies as their foundation. However, in learning vocabularies we often experience these following hurdles and problems; students are less interested with mandarin, little opportunity to speak mandarin, as well as the limited learning materials. Those problems will furthermore affect the students’ learning skills. To improve students’ learning skill and to make it easier for students to learn mandarin, the author gave a pre-test for students of Junior High School 10 class IXB and IXC, followed by teaching them using situational approach, and gave them post –test afterwards. After comparing pre-test and post-test results, we found that situational approach was very efficient in improving students’ learning skill as well as   finding an efficient teaching method. Keywords: vocabularies, vocabulary learning, situational approach

Abstract

AbstractVocabulary in language learning is very important, because by mastering vocabulary, students can speak according to the meaning of the dialogue. If the vocabulary learning is not adequate, it can be difficult to start a dialogue. Therefore using the audio visual method(cartoon movie)can be one of the methods to help students recognize and read vocabulary. The purpose of the research and thesis writing was to examine whether the audio visual method(cartoon movie) can improve students ability in mastering Mandarin vocabulary. The writer found that students of grade 3 of SMP N 10 feel difficult to remember the Mandarin vocabulary. The outcome shows that students learning progress is significantly improved. The results showed that the audio visual method(cartoon movie) was very good, because it was direct so it was easy for the students to understand. Abstract

AbstractNumeral proverbs are one of the important components in proverbs, it has the same characteristics as proverbs in general, namely a fixed structure, a simple method of compilation, abundant of meanings, easy and clear ways of disclosure. Because the numbers in numeral proverbs contain profound cultural meanings, so the numeral proverbs are also versatile and diverse, this makes it difficult for Mandarin language students to properly understand the meaning of these proverbs and often cause students mistaken in using them. The author chooses Chinese proverbs containing numbers (six, seven, eight, nine and ten) as research objects. The author collected proverbs containing numbers from "Xuesheng Hanyu Cidian", then analyzed the meaning of numbers, connotation meanings contained in the Chinese proverb, as well as the structure and how to arrange them. Through the analysis method, the author concluded a that number of things as follows, in terms of connotation meaning : the Chinese language proverb has 3 connotation meanings which are positive, negative, and neutral. In terms of the preparation and structure, proverbs containing numbers (six, seven, eight, nine, ten)  appear in various places in the proverb, and can be appeared together with other numbers in one proverb.  Keywords: Analysis Method, Chinese Language, Numeral Proverb

Abstract

AbstractChinese adverbs "yuanlai" and "benlai" are one of the most commonly used time adverbs in Chinese. Both words use adverbs of time. In addition, the use of different adverbs can change the meaning of a sentence. In the process of learning, Chinese learners sometimes misuse the understanding of "yuanlai" and "benlai". The author test the students of Chinese Tanjungpura University in 2015 using "yuanlai" and "benlai" to analyze the student errors and find out the reasons. From the results of the test, the author concludes that the error rate of student using "yuanlai" and "benlai" adverbs is 52.15%, and the correct rate is 47.85%. The students errors in using adverbs of "awalnya" and "sebenarnya" are due to the difficulty of grammatical "yuanlai" and "benlai". The test results show that the subjects do not grasp the usage very well in the process of learning these two adverbs. The author also understands that the common types of errors in students learning are misrepresentation errors and misorder errors. Keywords: Yuanlai and Benlai, Time Adverbs, Errors Analysis

Abstract

AbstractNoun is word that represent people, things, times, and places. According to the meaning, noun is divided into six categories, one of them is the preposition。 The example of the preposition were “yilai” and “yihou”. In the Chinese learning class, some learners were misunderstood with the use of the two words and misused them. There were also some errors  in the application of the words. The author examined students of Chinese Teacher Education of Tanjungpura university in academic year 2016. The author examined the learners ‘mastery of the preposition “yilai” and “yihou” and analyzed the learners’ difficulty in learning the preposition “yilai” and “yihou”. The result of the research showed that the students of Chinese Teacher Education of Tanjungpura university in academic year 2016 were more able touseandunderstand ‘yihou’ rather than the use of ‘yilai’. The percentage of “yihou” was 66%, while “yilai” was only 61%.  Keyword: preposition, yilai, yihou, the analysis of mastery

Abstract

Abstract Game method is a method that uses the game to carry out teaching. In the teaching process, a game full of passion and challenges. Games also provide much ease in th eteaching process. In a pleasant classroom atmosphere, students will more quickly understand the contents of the teaching. The purpose of research is to understand whether using game methods can improve student?s memory and mastery of the Mandarin vocabulary. The author using game method on research in SMK NEGERI 8 Pontianak grade 10th accounting class.The result is that using a game method can improve student?s memories of the chinese vocabulary, besides that it can also improve student test score. Student final test scores are higher than previous test score. Test scoreon grade 10th accounting class number 1 increased 33% while on grade 10th acconting class number 2 increased 29%. We can conclude that use game method in teaching process can help to improve student?s ability in memorize Mandarin?s vocabularies.Keyword: Vocabularies Vocabulary Teaching Game Teaching Method

Abstract

AbstractWords and morphemes are the most important parts of vocabulary learning. These two language units are closely related, but they have different boundaries. The similarity of the two words often makes it difficult for learners of Chinese to distinguish between meaningful morphemes, morphemes and non-morphemes. Therefore, it is easy to make mistakes and identify them.In order to understand the distinguishing ability of morphemes and words among the 2016 Chinese students of the Tanjungpura University Faculty of Teacher Training and Education,the author used the test method to test the students and analyzed the difficulties of morphemes and words. The test results showed that the students'ability to distinguish words is very good, the correctness rate is 86%, while the students' ability to distinguish morphemes is not good, the correctness rate is only 56%. When analyzing the difficulties, the author finds that most of the problems arise in identifying one morpheme and more than two words. Key words:Distinguishing Ability, Morpheme, Word

Abstract

Abstract“Dagai” and “dayue”are types of adverbs that express possibilities that are often found in Mandarin, both of them are used to express predictions about something that is still predicted. Although these two words have almost the same meaning, but there are some differences between these two words, for example: differences in use, application to different scopes, and so on. These things cause mistakes for the student in using these two words. The author conducted research on the 2016 batch of Tanjungpura University to find out how the level of mastery and analysis difficulties of adverbs “dagai” and “dayue”. The author used the research test method to collect data. The results showed that when the students were studying these two words, they were good enough in using the adverb “dayue”, but for the use of the adverb “dagai” they still did not master it well. In analyzing the difficulties, the author analyzed it through the section on choosing the right placement. The author found that the mistakes that often occurred in learning these two words for the students is that they put these two words in the wrong position, resulting in grammatical errors. Keywords: Adverbs, dagai and dayue, Analysis of mastery

Abstract

AbstractVerbs is a words that express the state of action behavior, physiology or psychology. There are many verbs in Chinese, which is “gaibian” and “zhuanbian”. Although the meanings of these two words are similar, their usages are different. Therefore, Chinese students tend to misuse these two words. In order to understand the mastery of verb “gaibian” and “zhuanbian” by 2016 Chinese majors of Tanjungpura University, the author use the method to test the student and analyses the difficulties of “gaibian” and “zhuanbian”. The test results show that students’mastery of “gaibian” is better than “zhuanbian”. The correct rate of “gaibian” is 70%, the corrate rate of “zhuanbian” is only 61%. When analyzing the difficulties, the author finds that the good usage that students grasp  is “gaibian” can bring “le” and “guo”. Nominal objects and indicators of “zhuanbian” change from one situation to another. Unmastered usage is “gaibian” show a change caused by external forces, and “zhuanbian” show its own change generally to be better and higher level. Keywords: Verbs Word, Gaibian and zhuanbian, Condition of Mastery

Abstract

AbstractIn order to understand the impact on the efficiency of classroom teaching and student interest in learning Chinese using Audiovisual method, the writer collected the literature research paper and the relevant theory of Audiovisual method , the object of test methods for the study is the Student of Sungai Raya High School number 4 conducted pretest, post test and a survey . Writer’s findings are : after the written test and practice, their total score of the post  test has passing rates and their average score increase. Its indicating that Audiovisual method is able to improve the efficiency of Chinese classroom teaching ; students prefer Audiovisual teaching , the students realise that the teaching method is very interesting and can also improved their own capability of Chinese language. After using Audiovisual teaching method, the  students’ love for Chinese language rose from  75% in the pretest to 90 % in the post test. Therefore, the writer proved that Audiovisual method can improve student's interest in learning Chinese languages .The writer hopes through this research can provide reference for the relevant teaching methods. Keywords : Audiovisual Method, Study Interest, Listening and Speaking Skill
