Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of income, agricultural risk, the selling price, cost of production and availability of water for the conversion of rice land into palm oil ,. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The sampling method using Random Sampling is taking a random sample by strata. Data analysis method used is multiple linear analysis. The result is a coefficient of determination (R-Square) 0.91. This value indicates that simultaneously (synchronously) wetland conversion into oil palm plantations are affected by revenue, selling prices, agricultural risk, the cost of production and availability of water by 91% and the rest influenced by other factors beyond the variables that are not tested by 9%, Most variable production costs significantly affect wetland conversion to oil palm plantations. While the variable income, sales price, the risk of agriculture and availability of water does not significantly influence wetland conversion to oil palm plantations. Keywords: Land conversion, Palm land, rice land

Abstract

This work aims to provide raw water from brackish water by reducing the salt content in brackish water to fresh water using the column method. Moringa leaves were chosen as the adsorber considering their high availability in partner locations. The location chosen was Habibie Mustafa's college in Tanjungbalai, North Sumatra. Brackish water treatment equipment is designed using a distillation system. In the column refining, the filter tubes used are made using PVC pipe with a height of 45 cm (Moringa leaves), a height of 35 cm (sand), and a height of 25 cm (charcoal). Each filter media in the tube is limited by using a palm fiber. The use of fibers is used as a barrier between the filter media so that the filter media remains in its position during the filtration process so that there is no mixing of the filter media in the filter tube. The results obtained are clean water that can be consumed according to drinking water quality standards. The results obtained were raw water with TDS specifications = 405 mg / L, turbidity 4 NTU, sulfate = 240 mg / L zinc = 2 mg / L, and Mn = 0.35 mg / L. The results obtained are still on the threshold of drinking water quality standard requirements by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 492 / Menkes / Per / IV / 2010 concerning drinking water quality requirements

Abstract

Research on the role of sea production diversification to increase of fisherman’s revenues has been conducted, four factors were studied, namely sea mileage, capital, number of diversification, and experience . The study was conducted by using the case study method, by taking a sample of 30 fishermen . Determination of fishermen sampled using stratified random sampling method . To test the hypothesis of the research carried out by using different test average , Regression Analysis , calculated F test , and descriptive analysis . Simultaneously there is a real effect of the distance between the sea , the capital , and the experience of the non- fishing income diversification . Partially, there is no real effect of capital to non- fishing income diversification on the 95% confidence level . In the distance the sea is no real effect of t - calculated value 2.199 > 2.144 and the t - table experience also significantly affect the level of income with indigo 11.865 t count > t - table 2.144 at 95% confidence level . From the test results with the t test , t-test values obtained for mileage at sea is -0.8739 < 2.144 t - table at the 95% confidence level . Capital value of the t test for values obtained 3.7010 t count > t - table 2.144 at 95% confidence level . T test values , for diversification is 109.8938 > t - table 2.144 at 95% confidence level . The results of testing with the t test for the level of experience of the results obtained t - value of -1.0076 count > 2,144 t - table .Keywords : diversification , production , catches , revenues , fishermen

Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine the effect of socioeconomic factors on the income of corn farmers and to know the corn farming efficiency in Lau Tawar Village, District Tanah Pinem, Dairi. Sampling method used was a random sampling method to take a simple random. Data analysis method used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis were significantly influence between the land and labor of the corn farmer’s income and there is no real influence or not significant between the capital, farming experience and the number of dependents of the corn farmer’s income. And based on the analysis of O/I ratio, maizefarming in the study area has been efficient.  Keywords: socio-economic factors, efficiency, revenue, corn

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the use of land area, labor, seed, fertilizer, and pesticides / stimulants against cucumber production in cultivation in the research location.Furthermore it also to determine the optimization level of the use of production inputs as well as the feasibility of the cultivation. In obtaining the data used qualitative research method which is a case study. Selection of research location is done purposely.Sample selection method is using Simple Random Sampling with the sample size as many as 30 people.Data analysis method using the model of Cobb–Douglas production function, output elasticity, R/C and B/C financial analysis, and descriptively. The research result, use of production inputs simultaneously affect production significantly, while partially, production inputs which significantly affect the increase in production is land area and fertilizer, while other production inputs ie seed, labor, and pesticide / stimulants not affect production significantly.Level optimization of production inputs land area and fertilizer yet efficient, while production inputs seed, tenaga kerja, and pesticides / stimulants not efficient. Cultivation of cucumber  in the research location deserve to be developed.Key Words: Optimization, Production Input, Cucumber

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of socio-economic factors (age, capital, experience, number of dependents and level of education) against income women vegetable vendors and to find out how much revenue the woman vegetable vendor to total household income. The study's hypotheses were tested using multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS. Results showed that simultaneously (synchronously) no influence of age, capital, experience, number of dependents and level of education on income women vegetable vendors. Partially capital and experience affect the earnings of women vegetable vendors, while age, number of dependents and level of education no effect. Income women vegetable vendors contribute fairly high on household income that is equal to 58.47 percent. Keywords: Women Vegetable Vendors, Household Income
