Abstract

This study aims to describe the contribution of parenting to students' interest in learning. Parenting patterns are all the ways and actions taken by parents in carrying out their responsibilities as parents. While interest in learning is a sense of preference and a sense of attachment to a thing or activity, without anyone touching. This study aims to determine the magnitude of the contribution of parenting patterns to the learning interest of class X students in the even semester of SMK Negeri 9 Padang for the 2020/2021 academic year. The method used in this study is quantitative with the type of research that is correlational, the population of this study amounted to 420 people who were registered with a sample of 204 people who were registered in class x for the 2020/2021 academic year. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. So that the number of samples obtained is 204 people. The instrument in this study was a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using statistical programs on IBM Statistical 20 computers and Microsoft Excel. Based on the results of data processing, it is obtained that the rcount value is 0.498 with an rtable value of 0.138 because the rcount value is greater than the rtable value (0.498> 0.138), it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation with the direction between the contribution of parenting parents to contribute to student learning interest, with the contribution value is 25%, which means that the parenting pattern of parents' interest in learning is in the low category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of the use of e-learning as an online learning medium to the learning outcomes of class X computer systems at SMK N 2 Padang. This study also aims to test the proposed hypothesis. This type of research is quantitative using correlational research methods. This research was conducted at SMK N 2 Padang in the even semester. The population in this study were students of class X Computer Systems at SMK N 2 Padang. The sampling technique used is total sampling. And students who became the sample in this study amounted to 72 students. The instrument used in collecting data in this study were questionnaires and questions arranged according to the Likert scale model. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS 20. Based on the results of the study, the hypothesis of the rcount value is -0.028 while the rtable value is 0.232 because the rcount value is smaller than the rtable value (-0.028 > 0.232) which means that it can be interpreted that there is no positive relationship between the use of e-learning as a learning medium with student learning outcomes at a very low level of correlation coefficient.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of online learning media to students' interest in learning in network service technology subjects for class XI Smk Negeri 8 Padang. The type of this research is correlational quantitative, the sampling is done using the Proportion Random Sampling technique. Total 66 people. The instrument used in data collection in this study was a questionnaire compiled according to the Likert scale model. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 20 and Microsoft Excel. Based on the results of the study, the value of rcount -0.212 while the value of rtable is 0.250 because the value of rcount is smaller than the value of rtable is 0.212 < 0.250) it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between online learning media and student interest in learning, with a contribution value of 4.5% which means that online learning contributes to students' interest in learning in network service technology subjects is very low. which means that online learning contributes to students' interest in learning in network service technology subjects is very low.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of Validity, Practicality and Effectiveness of Client Server-based Mobile Learning media in SMK Negeri 9 Padang. Because there are still limited learning resources and learning media in the form of interactive multimedia with mobile learning packaging at Padang Vocational High School 9. The study uses a development model (Four-D model). The development steps are (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Development, and (4) Disseminate. The trial instrument was conducted on 31 students at Padang N 9 Vocational School. The sample in this study was 31 students. The results showed that the level of validity obtained was 82.17% with valid interpretations, the practicality level was 82.29%, which meant that it was practically used and for the effectiveness test level of 90.03, which meant that it was very effective to use the Learning Media Client Server Based Learning Media. Abstract

This research and development aims to produce products in the form of Learning Media Interactive Multimedia Module Based on Macromedia Director MX for Class X in SMK-SMAK Padang. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) research method which refers to the 4D Model with the stages passed in this research are the definition stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the deployment stage. Data retrieval is done to the user of the Interactive Multimedia Module. The research sample consisted of 33 people consisting of 32 students and 1 teacher of the subject of Simulation and Digital Communication (SIMKOMDIG) SMK-SMAK Padang. Validity test results by experts Overall assessment of the validator test on Learning Media Interactive Multimedia Module Based on Macromedia Director MX is 90.35%, so that the level of validity can be interpreted very validly used. Overall practicality assessment of learning media Interactive Multimedia Module Based on Macromedia Director MX is 87.72%, so that the level of practicality can be interpreted very practically used. For effectiveness test Overall assessment of the effectiveness of learning media Interactive Multimedia Module Based on Macromedia Director MX at 85.51%, so that the level of effectiveness can be interpreted effectively used. MX has been tested for eligibility, is practically used and is effectively used in the learning process in Simulation and Digital Communication (SIMKOMDIG) subjects at SMK-SMAK Padang.

Abstract

Emotional maturity is a condition where a person is able to control, control and channel his emotions based on the situation and conditions that occur, so that he has a good level of emotional stability in solving a problem that occurs. The factors that can affect emotional maturity here are one of them influenced by parenting patterns, where parenting here is how to educate, maintain, nurture and guide their children towards the maturation process. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parenting patterns with the level of emotional maturity of students. This study examines the relationship between parenting patterns with the level of emotional maturity of students, where the method used in this study is quantitative correlation. The population in this study amounted to 210 people who were registered with a sample of 138 students. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire with a likert scale. Data analysis was performed using statistical programs on IBM Statistical 20 computers and Microsoft Excel. Based on the results of data processing, the rcount value is 0.450 with an rtable value of 0.165, the rcount value is greater than the rtable value 0.450> 0.1656, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between the relationship between parenting patterns and the level of emotional maturity of students.

Abstract

Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Modul Pembelajaran Menggunakan 3D Pageflip Professional pada Mata Pelajaran Desain Grafis Kelas X Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan di SMK Muhammadiah 1 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan metode Four-D. Uji coba dilakukan pada 33 siswa kelas X Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan di SMK Muhammadiah 1 Padang. Hasil uji validitas oleh para ahli secara keseluruhan terhadap Modul Pembelajaran Menggunakan 3d Pageflip Professional pada Mata Pelajaran Desain Grafis sebesar 91,09% dengan interprestasi sangat valid digunakan. Hasil penilaian uji praktikalitas secara keseluruhan sebesar 89,38%, dengan interprestasi sangat praktis digunakan, dan hasil penilaian uji efektivitas secara keseluruhan sebesar 89,11% dengan interprestasi sangat efektif digunakan. Dengan demikian Modul Pembelajaran Menggunakan 3d Pageflip Professional pada Mata Pelajaran Desain Grafis sudah teruji sangat valid, sangat praktis dan sangat efektif digunakan, sehingga dapat digunakan pada proses pembelajaran mata pelajaran Desain Grafis di SMK Muhammadiah 1 Padang

Abstract

The use of the Estudy application in e-learning by students of the Faculty of Engineering must be carried out due to the demands of circumstances that require studying from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the acceptance of e-study application technology by Engineering faculty students during online learning is carried out. This type of research is quantitative by surveying students. The model used for analyzing technology acceptance is that proposed by Davis. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire that was distributed to students via the Google form link which was distributed online. The sample in this study amounted to 128 people. The data analysis technique used is a correlation. The study results showed that engineering faculty students showed positive attitudes and behaviors in using the Estudy application as an educational platform in e-learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus the use of the e-study application during the Covid-19 pandemic by utilizing the Estudy application by engineering faculty students had a positive effect on learning from home in the form of e-learning. Future e-study applications can be used as e-learning media by students in lectures.

Abstract

Online learning is enforced by all higher education in Indonesia due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is an inability of students to manage time and often delay the work given by the lecturer. This study aimed to reveal the degree of relationship between student time management and academic procrastination in higher education. This research was conducted at the Psychology Faculty of the University Puta Indonesia YPTK Padang, Indonesia. The sample of this research was psychology students as many as 202 respondents. The research instrument was in the form of a questionnaire distributed via Google Form. The results showed that the level of correlation between time management and academic procrastination of psychology students was 0.242 with data processing using SPSS 26. Which means that there is a relationship between students' ability to manage time and delay in completing assignments by students of the faculty of psychology. The role of lecturers in providing direction and motivation to students is very much needed.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking ability of students in the learning process and the low desire of students to improve their thinking skills to explore information. The purpose of this study was to describe students' critical thinking skills using the Drill/exercise method with the help of visual media in the information technology education study program. This research is a type of classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles, one cycle with two meetings. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year in the information technology concept course. The research data were collected through qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of data analysis showed that the drill/practice method with the help of visual media in learning could improve students' critical thinking skills in the information technology concept course. the results of the teacher's observations in the first cycle of the first meeting with a percentage of 75% for the second meeting 83.33% and in the second cycle of the first meeting 83.33% for the second meeting 91.66% with a very good category. The results of student observations in the first cycle at the first meeting with a percentage of 40% for the second meeting 66.66% and the second cycle of the first meeting 73.33% for the second meeting 80%. While classical completeness in the first cycle obtained the average value of students' critical thinking skills of 46.66% increased to 53.33% in the second cycle. It is concluded that the use of the Drill/exercise method with the help of visual media can improve students' critical thinking skills in the information technology concept course.
