Abstract

Nowadays, there are many foods that contain harmful substances in the community. Among them are fried foods that contain plastic. Similar cases were also found in the campus area in city of Padang. Based on preliminary observations it was found that some fried foods sold in one campus area in the city of Padang were indicated to contain plastic. This study therefore aims to determine whether fried foods sold in the city of Padang contained plastic, what the physical characteristics of fried foods that contain plastic were, and what plastic content contained in the cooking oil. This type of research was descriptive qualitative. Sampling in this study was conducted by purposive sampling in 16 locations around the campus area in the city of Padang. The data of the research data were obtained from physical and chemical sample identifications. Physical identification included data on shape, color, fragility, and fuel test. Physically indicated samples containing plastic then analyzed chemically with GC-MS. The results of the study showed that the physical characteristics of fried foods that contain plastic were black clots when observed with a microscope, there are white patches on the surface of the fried, brittle for hours, and if it was burned, it burnt and produced melt. The results of the chemical analysis showed that from 16 sampling points 11 samples (68.75%) positive contained plastic. The type of plastic compound found was from PVC (Polyvinyl chloride).

Abstract

Creativity and innovation skills merupakan salah satu katergori pada keterampilan abad-21, yang merupakan pemikiran kreatif dan kemampuan untuk bekerja secara kreatif dengan orang lain. Untuk meningkatkan creativity and innovation skills pada mahasiswa diperlukan usaha yang dapat diterapkan dalam perkuliahan. Diantara usaha tersebut adalah melalui penerapan model Project Based Learning. Penelitian dilakukan pada mahasiswa PGMI yang mengambil mata kuliah Eksperimen Sains. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi dan penilaian unjuk kerja mahasiswa. Dari penelitian diperoleh data aktivitas mahasiswa dalam menerapkan model Problem Based Learning tergolong baik, dimana nilai tertinggi adalah pada tahap membuat produk dengan rata-rata 85. Creativity and Innovation skills mahasiswa juga mengalami peningkatan. Nilai rata-rata tertinggi terdapat pada indikator terbuka dan mau mendengarkan ide dan perspektif yang berbeda, dengan nilai 82,2. Penilaian terhadap produk eksperimen sains diperoleh nilai tertinggi dengan rata-rata 91,2 untuk produk berbasis aplikasi sains. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dapat meningkatkan creativity and innovation skills mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh temuan mengenai kendala yang dialami pendidik dalam menerapkan penilaian autentik dalam kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penerapan penilaian,  kendala yang dialami, dan upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan dalam penerapan penilaian autentik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian adalah pendidik kelas I, kelas IV, dan  Kepala MIN di Kecamatan Bayang Kab. Pesisir Selatan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum pendidik belum menerapkan penilaian autentik secara keseluruhan. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam penerapan penilaian autentik masih ditemukan pendidik yang kurang paham dengan kurikulum 2013, jarang mengikuti pelatihan mengenai kurikulum 2013 khususnya pada aspek penilaian, revisi kurikulum membuat pendidik kebingungan dalam menerapkan kurikulum 2013, serta pendidik merasa terlalu banyak kegiatan  yang harus dilakukan dalam proses pembelajaran dan penilaian. Upaya yang dilakukan pendidik dalam mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi dalam penerapan penilaian autentik pada kurikulum 2013 adalah berdiskusi dengan teman sejawat dan kepala madrasah. Pendidik mengharapkan kepada pemerintah agar memberikan pelatihan penerapan  kurikulum 2013 khususnya pada aspek penilaian autentik pada kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine students’ learning outcomes physic between Instruction Based Learning model using TGT type of media snake ladder compared to conventional learning in class VIII MTsN 1 Lubuk Basung. The hypothesis formulated in this research is "The application of cooperative learning model TGT with media cards and snakes and ladders results higher Physical Science learning with conventional learning in science teaching Physics.". The kind of this research is quasy experimental and the design of this study is a Randomized Control Only Design. The population of this study is all of students at class VII MTsN 1 Lubuk Basung academic year 2015/2016. The sample of this research take by used a random cluster sampling technique. The class VIII.5 obtained as an experimental class and control class as a class is VIII.4. This test is given at the end of the study sample class 25 objective questions. The technique used to test the hypothesis is to use an equation that estimated the average one-way through the t-test, for normally distributed data and data group has a homogeneous variance. The average score on the cognitive aspects of learning outcomes is an experimental class and control class 85.52, 73.17. Based on the analysis of data obtained, t = 4.25 and t table = 1.67. Because t obtained in the rejection of H0, ie 4.25> 1.67, the decision was rejected H0 and H1 accepted. This means that there is an increase in student learning outcomes by using model Problem Based Instruction with conventional learning in science teaching Physics class VIII MTsN 1Lubuk Basung

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of cognitive assessment instruments on daily and mid-semester tests on learning class X physics used in the form of questions that tend to test more aspects of memory, understanding and application. While questions that test aspects of analysis, evaluation and creation are not widely available. In the matter of Newton's law, most students still experience difficulties in solving problems related to Newton's law. In fact, the questions on Newton's law are related to the application of technology in everyday life. To overcome these problems the students need to be directed to develop high-level thinking skills. Therefore, one way to improve students' high-level thinking skills by carrying out HOTS-based evaluations. In line with these problems it is necessary to feel it. Abstract

This study aims to: (1) produce practicum worksheets (LKPD) development products on science learning in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (2) produce practicum based LKPD on science learning with valid, practical and effective product quality. This research is a research and development (R & D) research with 4-D models by Thiagarajan and Sammel. The results of this study are: (1) produced practicum-based LKPD in second semester science VIII science learning. (2) the average value of product validity from all aspects 91% with a very valid category. The product practical value is 88% with a very practical category. And the average value of product effectiveness is 86% with a very effective category to increase students' interest in learning science.

Abstract

Student worksheets (SWS) is one of the teaching materials that can activate learners, help find the concept and make it easier to understand the subject matter. Based on the results of observation obtained information that the teacher used the teaching materials of printed books and gita but not yet the availability of teaching materials that already contain learning steps in accordance with K-13. In response to these conditions developed teaching materials in the form of  SWS Based Guided Inquiry. The purpose of this study is the production of teaching materials in the form of SWS Based Guided Inquiry on Momentum, Impulse and Collision materials  valid, practical, and effective. This study was conducted 4-D model, define, design, develop, and disseminate. SWS Validity Test obtained value 90 % with very valid category. Practicality by 6 learner was obtained by value 89.02% with very practical category, practice by 20 learner was obtained by value 86.02% with very practical category and by teacher obtained result 89.16 % with very practical category. The effectiveness obtained result with value 92.22% with very effective category. Based on research  obtained  conclusion of SWS based guided inquiry on the material of mementum, impulse and collision valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

The purposes of this research to know the differences of motivastion and comprehension of physics concepts with the implementation of ARIAS learning models aided video, which is better than conventional learning models in class VIII in MTsN Durian Tarung. This research uses quasi experiment with randomized control group only design. The population of this  research is the student of class VIII at MTsN Durian Tarung2016/2017which consist of eight class. The sample of the reseacrh use cluster random sampling technique, VIII8 as experiment group and VIII6 as control group. The instrumen of this research is quationer motivation and tes of physic concept of learners in the form of essay. The result showed that the average of experimental class motivation was 115,61 and control class was 95,39. Meanwhile, the average result of understanding physics concepts of experimental class students 80.03 and control class 75,11.Data analyzed uses t-test independent with SPSS 16.0. version. The research has shown the application of ARIAS learning models aides video provides better motivation with t-test, t hitung >t table = 6.412> 1.667and physics conceptswith t-test t hitung >t table = 2.538> 1.667than conventional learning models in class VIII MTsN Durian Tarung.

Abstract

Penentuan kandungan emas (Au) pada batuan sedimen dari Silago kabupaten Dharmasraya bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi optimum pada penentuan kandungan emas secara Spektrofotometry Serapan Atom (SSA). Pada penelitian ini sampel batuan didestruksi dengan menggunakan aquaregia yang merupakan campuran asam klorida pekat dengan asam nitrat pekat dengan perbandingan 3:1. Destruksi sampel dilakukan dengan memvariasikan ukuran partikel yaitu 150, 180, 250, dan 355 μm serta volume pelarut yaitu 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, dan 30 ml. Kemudian dilakukan penambahan tembaga sebagai zat pembebas dengan variasi konsentrasi 0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, dan 300 ppm untuk mengatasi gangguan penentuan emas pada batuan. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kondisi optimum penentuan kadar emas adalah pada ukuran partikel 150 μm, volume pelarut 25 ml, dan penambahan zat pembebas 100 ppm. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran pada kondisi optimum tersebut diperoleh kandungan emas sebesar 0,0811 mg/g.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a diagnostic test in the form of a Three-tier test to identify students' mis-conceptions in Newton's Law material. This research is a development study using the 4D model (Thiagarajan). Threer-tier test diagnostic test instrument format consists of 20 items. Item validation was obtained from the consideration of expert lecturers. The practicality test of the Diagnostic Test questions is given to physics educators and students of class X IPA SMAN 1 Sungai Beremas. The effectiveness test was carried out on 20 students of class X IPA 1 of SMAN 1 Sungai Beremas. The test results show that the developed diagnostic tests are valid with an average of 86,11, practical  with an average of 93 (educators) and 83 (students). Effectiveness can be seen from the analysis of misconceptions, namely students experiencing high mis-conceptions of 7 people (35%), moderate misconceptions of 8 people (40%), and low misconceptions of 5 people (25%). It seems that the diagnostic test developed is valid, practical and able to detect misconceptions in students.
