Abstract

From the perspective of the Qur’an, investigating the concept of human nature becomes an intriguing subject for scientific exploration, with a particular focus on the term “muḥsin”. This word holds a wide range of interpretations within the Qur’an, encompassing both its semantic implications and its relevance to understanding humanity. This pursuit of understanding and learning within the realm of science, especially in academic lectures and research, aims to analyze the correlation between the concept of human nature and Islamic education as they relate to the Qur’an and Ilmud dilalah (the science of semantics). This research is specifically oriented towards qualitative research, utilizing a literature review approach. Data was collected from online sources through literature searches on platforms such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and Siendirect. Data analysis involved a meticulous content analysis process. The findings of this study highlight the concept of “fiṭrah” as a divine endowment bestowed upon humans by God, defining their existence. Understanding the meaning of this inherent nature is deemed essential for all individuals, ensuring that God’s gift is not squandered and that one’s full potential is developed. Islamic education plays a pivotal role in this context, serving as a guiding force that helps individuals preserve and direct their innate nature, particularly in fostering trust and confidence in Allah. It emphasizes the importance of nurturing one’s full potential. In Islam, education is not only emphasized but also intricately linked with the philosophy of science when applied to Islamic religious education. It is understood that Islam, as a holistic religion, provides comprehensive guidance and education for Muslims.

Abstract

The spread of Covid-19 in the month of Ramadan 1442 H, caused all worship activities to be closed tightly. However, there is one mosque whose religious activities are still active, which is attended by the congregation of the mosque, namely the Jogokariyan Mosque in Yogyakarta. This study aims to analyze religious behavior vertically between God and Creatures, namely the congregation of the mosque during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with case studies. The informants of this research were 20 members of the Jogokariyan mosque, 1 takmir of the mosque, and 2 committees of Ramadan 1442 H. Data collection techniques were carried out using data from interviews, observation, and documentation methods. The data analysis technique uses the reduction method, the display method, and the conclusion drawing/verification method. The results of the study show that religious behavior is vertical. The congregation of the mosque followed a series of fasting worship that had been scheduled by the takmir of the Jogokariyan mosque. Carrying out a series of bukber events, tarawih prayers, and religious studies online and offline in the fasting month of Ramadan 1444 H. The congregation of the mosque comes in droves to the mosque following the series seriously and carefully and it is relevant to psychosocial and neurospiritual theories.

Abstract

The Qur’anic tafsir (exegesis) has undergone changes over time, addressing issues from classical eras to current challenges faced by the Muslim community. Concerns have been raised about approaches that are overly literal or forceful in understanding the contexts of Qur’anic verses for application in the present time. Hence, there is a need to formulate a more profound effort to explore the meanings of the Qur’an to extract its messages and guidance. This involves understanding the contextual aspects of Qur’anic verses in terms of history and literal meanings, applying them to contemporary situations. However, as highlighted, there appears to be a gap between existing theories and their practical realities. This underscores the necessity for more careful and structured research to bridge the theoretical and practical aspects. The objective of this study is to analyze the contextualization of the Qur’an in the contemporary era, as pioneered by Abdullah Saeed. The study employed a qualitative method with an analytical study approach, utilizing literature review as the primary data collection method, drawing from Abdullah Saeed’s writings, journal articles, books, and relevant references. The findings revealed that Abdullah Saeed’s contextualization of the Qur’an is highly relevant in understanding verses that remain textual and challenging to interpret. With the evolution of the modern era, there is a need for reinterpretation, especially in the context of nation-building and culture. The local descent of Qur’anic revelations and the complexity of developments in the modern context necessitate a new understanding. The understanding sought in the current context is dynamic and can contribute to a more harmonious life. This points towards a new direction for humanity in the current millennial era.

Abstract

The prevailing issues in education have shown that schools and teachers have struggled to implement effective Arabic learning methodologies. While teachers comprehend various teaching approaches, these methods are often ineffective for students. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the al-sam'iyyah al-syafawiyyah learning method in teaching Arabic at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. The research used a qualitative method to involve teachers and students within SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis followed Miles and Huberman's data display, reduction, and verification techniques. Triangulation was utilized to fortify the research data from fieldwork and primary sources (literature). The study revealed significant disparities between the al-sam'iyyah al-syafawiyyah method and the conventional teaching approaches practiced by teachers at the school. According to teacher feedback, the predominant method used thus far has been lecturing, resulting in 60% of students not mastering the 'mufradāt.' Conversely, the implications of the al-sam'iyyah al-syafawiyyah method indicated highly engaged, active, and practical students. This method primarily focuses on enhancing student concentration through listening, imitating teacher explanations, and practicing the fluency of 'mufradāt.'

Abstract

Intelligence and personality are gifts from Allah that share both similarities and differences, viewed from the perspective of Islamic Education Psychology. This research aims to explore the distinctions between the two. It is a systematic review conducted with a qualitative approach, drawing materials from various sources such as books, theses, journals, and reputable electronic resources. The findings reveal that there are commonalities and disparities between intelligence and personality according to Islamic Education Psychology. The similarities can be observed in the fundamental meanings of both terms and the aspects associated with them. In terms of their definitions, both have the root word 'aqal', which means acquiring knowledge for intelligence, while for personality, it serves as the foundation for behavior. As for their aspects, the difference lies in the fact that intellectual intelligence is utilized to develop one's intellect, while in personality, intellectuality determines behavioral patterns. Spiritual intelligence is employed to cultivate norms or values within oneself, whereas personality encompasses a person's inclination towards specific norms or values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan konsep strategi pemasaran bisnis ekonomi Islam di masa pandemic COVID-19 sebagai kata kuncinya “Neuromarketing menjadi pendekatannya”. Beredar dengan adanya informasi di semua social media, media cetak, dan penelitian-penelitian yang relevan pertumbuhan ekonomi bisnis di Indonesia sangat menurun dengan datangnya pandemic COVID-19.  Menyebarnya virus COVID-19 di Indonesia menyebabkan inkam pemasukan para pelaku bisnis ekonomi dan UMKM menurun secara drastis, mengakibatkan para pedagang dan pembisnis gulung tingkar, istirahat operasi jual, dan bahkan ada yang gulung tikar. Data penelitian penelitian ini bersumber melalui pengamatan literature terkait deskripsi jurnal-jurnal ilmiah yang beriputasi nasional maupun internasional dan pencermatan terhadap referensi karya penelitian, baik secara manual ataupun digital yang focus menemukan konsep baru marketing bisnis Islam dalam kajian Neurosains. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif  studi kepustakaan (research library) dengan teknik analisys content. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa konsep dan strategi yang baru dalam pengembangan dan peningkatan inkam pemasukan bisnis ekonomi Islam terkhusus para pemodal dan pembisnis dengan pendekatan Neuromarketing mampu memudahkan para pelaku bisnis Islam mengembalikan stabilitas pemasukan laba. Karena pada dasarnya mengaitkan diskursus kajian Neurosains dengan ilmu ekonomi Islam yang lebih dikenal dengan Neuromarketing, melakukan pemasaran dalam bisnis ekonomi Islam dengan pendekatan otak kepada para pembeli. Pendekatan Neuromarketing memiliki dua aspek terhadap pendekatan kepada konsumen atau pembeli yaitu dalam aspek penguasaan teknologi digitalisasi yang modern dan aspek evaluasi (muhasabah) marketing. Dengan demikian para pelaku bisnis dan pedagang di Indonesia pemasukan laba berbanding normal dan  meningkat di masa pandemic COVID-19.

Abstract

The purpose of this research analyzing Islamic education learning in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic from the perspective of Neuroscience. The development of the learning model of Islamic education and neuroscience in this modern era is in line with research on neuroscience in Islamic education discourse, which so far has only been understood as edentically with medical science, namely health in the brain. while Neuroscience is integrated with Islamic education in theological aspects (Alquran and hadith), historical, academic and theoretical. This research data is sourced through literature observations related to descriptions of scientific journals and examination of references to research works, both manually and digitally, which focus on discussing Islamic education learning in the new discourse of Neuroscience. This research is a literature study using qualitative methods. The results of the study prove that Neuroscience has traces in the field of Islamic education thought theologically has a Neorubiological basis in the Qur'an surah al-Alaq verses 15-16 with the keyword "nasyiyah" (crown), historically Neuroscience is closely related to Islamic philosophy, fiqh and ushul fiqh. Academically and theoretically related to the concept of 'Aql and Qolb in the Koran and hadith. Its derivatives gave rise to the hybridization of Neuroscience and Islamic education. Abstract

The tahlilan tradition in Madura serves not only as a religious ritual but also as a significant social and cultural mechanism that strengthens communal bonds. In the context of Madura, tahlilan goes beyond prayer, representing solidarity, empathy, and social cohesion among community members. This study aims to analyze how tahlilan influences social solidarity and harmony within Madurese society, focusing on its role in community integration and the maintenance of social ties. A qualitative case study method was employed, involving interviews with local religious leaders, community figures, and participants in the tahlilan rituals, along with observations of religious practices in Pasean, Pamekasan. The results show that tahlilan plays a crucial role in reinforcing collective identity and social harmony in Madura. It fosters a sense of belonging and mutual support across social classes, while also serving as a mechanism for collective grieving and emotional expression. However, financial pressures related to hosting tahlilan can lead to social strain, particularly among lower-income families. This study highlights the cultural significance of tahlilan and its impact on social dynamics but acknowledges that further research is needed to explore economic challenges and evolving practices in different socio-economic contexts. Tradisi tahlilan di Madura tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai ritual keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai mekanisme sosial dan budaya yang memperkuat ikatan komunal. Dalam konteks Madura, tahlilan melampaui doa, mencerminkan solidaritas, empati, dan kohesi sosial di antara anggota masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana tahlilan memengaruhi solidaritas sosial dan harmoni dalam masyarakat Madura, dengan fokus pada peran tradisi ini dalam integrasi komunitas dan pemeliharaan hubungan sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus kualitatif, melibatkan wawancara dengan tokoh agama, tokoh masyarakat, dan peserta tahlilan, serta observasi langsung terhadap praktik keagamaan di Pasean, Pamekasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahlilan berperan penting dalam memperkuat identitas kolektif dan harmoni sosial di Madura. Tradisi ini mendorong rasa memiliki dan saling mendukung di berbagai lapisan masyarakat, serta menjadi mekanisme untuk meredakan duka bersama. Namun, tekanan finansial terkait pelaksanaan tahlilan dapat menimbulkan beban sosial, terutama bagi keluarga berpenghasilan rendah. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya tahlilan secara budaya dan pengaruhnya terhadap dinamika sosial, namun diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengeksplorasi tantangan ekonomi dan perubahan praktik dalam konteks sosial-ekonomi yang berbeda.
