Abstract

The research aims to describe the household loss of food crops, farms, and plantations as well as the welfare of farmers' households in North Kolaka Regency in January-March 2021 referring to national indicators or provisions in the processing of agricultural survey results (ST) that have been conducted by national official institutions, namely the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Southeast Sulawesi in 2013 (ST2013) and the results of the Inter-Census middle Survey 2018. The results of the analysis of household income and welfare of agricultural households in North Kolaka Regency showed that food crops in the form of rice 39.36, crops 226.71, farms 12.99, plantations -0.31, and farmers welfare level 6.22. Abstract

Jambi Province Government has empowered Rimba people in various fields. The empowerment involves all relevant stakeholders namely Government, Private Sector and NGOs. The success of empowerment in the field of settlement has not been standardized. This study aims to examine the resistance of the settlement empowerment program on Rimba people in Bukit Duabelas National Park of Jambi (BDNP). The research method used was qualitative-descriptive. The research data was obtained through direct observation, focus group discussion, interviews, observation, documentation and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that the resistance of settlement empowerment program of Rimba people in Jambi National Park is due to 1) settlement empowerment does not refer to Rimba people social, economic and cultural characteristics, or it can be said that empowerment is not in accordance with Rimba people system of housing and cultural development concepts. 2) the empowerment of settlements were not accompanied by economic empowerment of Rimba people 3) the failure of the concept of the fostering remote indigenous communities settlement as a comprehensive institution 4) There is still lack of cross-sectorial cooperation in empowering settlements for Rimba people. Abstract

Globalization can’t avoided, and the end 2015 ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by reaffirming realized based neoliberal economic cooperation. This situation makes the government should be able to improve the competitiveness of domestic producers, so that the necessary policies that protect the lower classes of society and increase the capacity of small-scale economic actors. Jambi province as one of the otononom in Indonesia, the contribution of agriculture play an important role in improving the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) . But the role of the agricultural sector from year to year is also likely to decline, this was due to the increasing role of trade, mining, and manufacturing sector, and the increasing number of agricultural land converted into land not agricultural . This condition will threaten the future of food security in Jambi province. In order for food security in Jambi stronger required careful planning and cross-sectoral support, so it’s able to support the creation of food persistance.Keywords: Globalization, food security, Jambi

Abstract

Jambi province is the third largest rubber producer in Indonesia. Commodities play an important role in the economy in all the districts in Jambi province. The area of rubber plantations in Jambi province has reached 567 042 ha, with the result by 312 925 tonnes of processed rubber. Condition of the rubber plantation area consist of a 105 566 ha are crops produced (TM), 330 820 ha are immature plants and 130. 656 Ha is old and damaged crops. This condition causes a low level of productivity of rubber lands an average of only 714 kg / ha / yr, therefore the need for rejuvenation of the rubber in Jambi was given the top priority for the government and society.Some problems were found in the rejuvenation of the rubber farmers' lack of knowledge and technology, lack of readiness of farmers and farmer groups, the readiness of funds, lack of guidance counselors, and support of the banks that have not been optimal.In order to program a maximum rejuvenation of the rubber can be done should be done in the application of rubber cultivation technology is good and true suggestions that will improve the productivity of rubber plantations in the long run, as well as the necessary cooperation between the Plantation Office, research institutes, BPN, Banking, and Bapelluh Bakorluh, and all stakeholders related facilities as a provider of technology transfer, financing institutions, and institutions so that the next provider of production facilities is expected to rubber in Jambi rejuvenation program can be run in accordance with success. Abstract

Moderenisasi dan Globalisasi mengancam keberlanjutan kehidupan Komunitas Adat Terpencil (KAT) di Indonesia, khususnya Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) yang mendiami hutan belantara Sumatera. Karakter SAD yang terpencar dan belum terlibat dalam berbagai jaringan dan pelayanan sosial,ekonomi, politik, membuat komunitas ini semakin termarginalkan. Pendidikan merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengubah keadaan ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pendidikan seperti apa yang dibutuhkan SAD dan mengetahui pemberdayaan apa saja yang sudah dilakukan untuk mereka. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Bukit Suban Kecamatan Air Hitam Kabupaten Sarolangun. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan model studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Model pembedayaan pendidikan alternatif yang berdasarkan pada aspek Kultural budaya setempat , yang mudah diterima oleh SAD. Pemerintah, Swasta dan LSM terlibat aktif dalam pemberdayaan pendidikan bagi SAD. Swasta dan LSM bergerak di pendidikan alternatif yang bersifat non formal, sedangkan Pemerintah memberikan pelayanan pendidikan formal dan juga non formal. Pendidikan membawa perubahan cara pandang, pendidikan bagi SAD merupakan simbol perlawanan dari penindasan.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ipteks bagi masyarakat Kelurahan Talang Bakung Kecamatan Jambi Selatan Kota Jambi,melalui penerapan teknologi budi daya jamur tiram menggunakan metode kumbung dan baglog adalah untuk; (1) Meningkatkan kemampuan kecakapan hidup/- life skill kepada ibu rumah tangga dan remaja putra/putri warga masyarakat; (2) Memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat tentang budidaya jamur tiram dan manfaat yang dihasilkan; (3) Menggugah jiwa kewirausahaan dengan membentuk Kelompok Belajar Usaha (KBU); (4) Menyediakan kesempatan berkarya melalui budidaya jamur tiram; (5) Melatih memasarkan hasil panen (produk).Permasalahan yang dihadapi kelompok tani Cipta Nugraha adalah bagaimana meningkatkan taraf ekonomi masyarakat Talang Bakung dimana daerah tersebut merupakan masyarakat marginal, lahan luas ,masyarakat mau untuk diajak belajar dan bekerja dan mereka merupakan anggota kelompok tani. Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut maka dilakukanlah kegiatan budi daya Jamur Tiram dengan menggunakan metode kumbung dan baglog. Metode pelaksanaan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah : (1) memberikan informasi hasil penelitian terkait produk ungguluan daerah. (2) palatihan dan pendampingan pembuatankumbung (3) pelatihan dan pendampingan sterilisasi ruangan (4) pelatihan dan pendampingan pemasukan baglog ke dalam rak (5) Pelatihan budi daya jamur tiram (6) Pendampingan monitoring perkembangan budidaya Jamur tiram (7) Pelatihan dan pendampingan panen hasil jamur tiram (8) Pelatihan dan pendampingan jaringan pemasaran. Hasil dari kegiatan adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kelompok tani Cipta Nugraha sebagai pusat belajar, terciptanya produk jamur tiram, publikasi pada media massa, serta adanya email dan facebook untuk memasarkan produk secara online.

Abstract

Pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan hutan memiliki fungsi yang sangat penting bagi kehidupan manusia khususnya menyangkut tentang kesejahteraan sosial. Pengabdian ini bertujuan memberi penyuluhan tentang pengelolaan dan peningkatan kapasitas kelompok tani hutan Giri Mantep di Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta dengan bentuk sosialisasi berupa Pemberdayaan  Anggota KTH “Giri Mantep” dalam penyelenggaraan efektifitas Organisasi serta peningkatan kesejahteraan anggota KTH “Giri Mantep. Hasil pengabdian tersebut ditemukan bahwa untuk menjalankan tugas dan fungsi harus sesuai dengan aturan dan berhubungan langsung dengan  Penyuluh Kehutanan.

Abstract

Bali cattle marketing involves businesses to incur costs in every stage of the marketing channel. The research aims to analyze Bali cattle marketing channels and marketing margins in Barangka Subdistrict, West Muna Regency aug ust-October 2022. The research population is Bali cattle breeders and traders as many as 6 villages with the determination of the location determined stratified sampling based on the lowest, medium, high cow population with the selection of respondents purposive sampling. The results showed that Bali cattle marketing channels have 5 types, namely, (1) village-level producer-trader breeders-sub-district level traders-end-island-consumer collector traders, (2) village-level producer-trader breeders-end-island-consumer traders, (3)producer-trader breeders inter-sub-district-end-island-consumer traders, (4) end-consumer producer-merchants, (5) end-producer-consumer breeders. The largest Bali cattle marketing margin from producer breeders to retailers reached Rp. 2.620,489 per head and the smallest margin of livestock sales from producer breeders to village-level collectors was Rp. 1.035,823 per head.

Abstract

Agricultural extension workers have the task of encouraging farmers to change their way of thinking, working and living in accordance with the times and agricultural technology. The study has the objective of evaluating the performance of agricultural extension workers in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 91/Permentan/OT.140/9/2013 Regarding Guidelines for Performance Evaluation of Agricultural Extension Officers which was carried out from April to September 2022.  This study uses qualitative methods to describe and examine the results of interviews and observations of selected respondents to obtain more accurate information. The research informants are 12 agricultural extension workers at the Kolaka Regency Agriculture Office. The results of the research from 12 agricultural extension workers had many obstacles, especially skills and experience in terms of extension preparation, implementation of extension, evaluation, and reporting in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture no. 91/Permentan/OT.140/9/2013. The findings refer to the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture No. 91/Permentan/OT.140/9/2013 is the first step for local, provincial and government governments of the Republic of Indonesia to re-evaluate the performance of agricultural extension workers in all regions.
