Abstract

The increasing consumption of news and information that is widespread throughout the city has made used newspaper waste become abundant, due to the lack of attention from the public and the government. In fact, used newspaper waste can be processed into a product that has high economic value. The amount of paper or newspaper waste itself should be an opportunity to get extra income that can be obtained by local residents, one of which is a biocomposite material that can be used for handicraft products and other accessories. Efforts to empower the potential of housewives should be something that needs to be done, especially for those who depend on their family's economic income only on their husbands. As happened in Kelurahan Tasikmadu Malang, most of the housewives there have not even realized their potential. That reason is the background for the implementation of counseling on the use of newspaper biocomposite which aims to motivate and explore the potential of housewives in Kelurahan Tasikmadu Malang, especially in the neighborhood of RT 1 RW 4 Tasikmadu. With this training, it is hoped that mothers can gain knowledge and skills so that they can be applied in real life. The end result hopes that this activity can contribute to mothers to improve family welfare.

Abstract

The cafe service system in this modern era still uses manual labor. This is less effective in terms of service speed and of course will increase operational costs due to the need for a large number of waiters. For this reason, an electronic food and beverage ordering device is needed. This is useful for speeding up the service process and also reducing service personnel, of course, also reducing operational costs. This research will present the use of the ESP 8266 module as a minimum system design for ordering menus on consumer tables. Input from the dining table containing the menu code and number of menus will be displayed on the LCD. Furthermore, data will be sent from ESP 8266 to the kitchen to mix food and drinks ordered by consumers. The data is also transferred to the cashier's PC, whereupon the cashier prints invoices for consumers. From the test results on the LCD can already display a menu of food and drinks. The cashier PC and kitchen PC have also displayed the food and drink data ordered. Cashiers can also print bills for consumers.

Abstract

Biopori is a simple technology that can do a lot. This can be used as water absorption, reducing waterlogging, as a composting container, and of course fertilizing the soil. This program is run through a learning by doing system that uses material modules as teaching media. Based on the existing conditions, the counseling technique was carried out by gathering several local residents and providing direct practical explanations on how to install biopores and explaining the advantages of biopores as a means of storing water absorption as well as a composting medium for organic waste. The aim of this service is to master the technique of making biopores and prove the benefits of biopores in being able to overcome puddles while storing water reserves in the soil and can also be used as a composter for organic waste which can later be used as compost. So that the inconvenience of passing residents, especially those going to the mosque for worship, because there is standing water in the paving area of the mosque and reducing the volume of residents' waste, especially organic waste, can be resolved.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam konteks Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di sektor manufaktur memiliki relevansi yang signifikan dalam mendukung perekonomian lokal. Salah satu contohnya adalah Bengkel Las Karmannaut yang berlokasi di Perumahan Citra Pesona Bumi Raya blok F5 no. 18. Untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan keselamatan kerja di UMKM ini, Tim Pelaksana Pengabdian dari Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang telah menyelenggarakan kegiatan Workshop dan Pelatihan guna Peningkatan Pengetahuan tentang Penggunaan Mesin Produksi pada UMKM Bengkel Las. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada UMKM Bengkel Las Karmannaut tentang operasional penggunaan mesin bubut, teknik pemeliharaan mesin, serta kesadaran akan keselamatan kerja bagi para pekerja di Bengkel Las Karmannaut. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) dan Foccus Grup Discussion (FGD) guna penyelesaian masalah yang dihadapi mitra pengabdian terutama tentang penggunaan dan pemeliharaan mesin bubut, serta penerapan K3 bagi UMKM Bengkel Las.Pelatihan mesin bubut menjadi penting sebagai investasi jangka panjang bagi pelaku usaha bengkel untuk meningkatkan keterampilan tenaga kerja, meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, dan tetap bersaing dalam industri manufaktur yang dinamis.Melalui pelatihan ini, diharapkan UMKM dapat mengoptimalkan proses produksi mereka secara efisien dan aman, sehingga berkontribusi positif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal serta kesejahteraan masyarakat sekitar Kelurahan Kedungkandang.
