Abstract

Fisika merupakan ilmu pengetahuan yang mempelajari tentang fenomena alam berdasarkan penalaran logika dan kerja ilmiah. Pembelajaran fisika yang masuk dalam rumpun IPA sehingga harus memperhatukan hakikat IPA, sehingga dapat mengembangkan pemahaman konsep, kemampuan berpikir peserta didik, mengembangkan daya pikir kritis dan sikap ilmiah. Namun pembelajaran yang tidak dirancang dengan baik menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar dan miskonsepsi. Siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi terkadang tidak menyadari bahwa dirinya mengalami miskonsepsi, sehingga penting bagi guru untuk melakukan upaya dalam mengatasi miskonsepsi siswa dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik, sehingga tujuan penelitian yang ingin dicapai yaitu pengembangan two tier diagnostik test untuk mendeteksi miskonsepsi siswa SMA pada materi gerak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode pengembangan dari Borg Gall yang sudah mengalami modifikasi. Pengembangn two tier diagnostik test pada materi gerak dilakukan dengan melakukan kajian hasil penelitian untuk mendapatkan daftar miskonsepsi yang sering dialami oleh siswa pada materi gerak. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis kompetensi dasar yang berhubungan dengan materi gerak yaitu gerak lurus, gerak parabola dan gerak melingkar. Dari setiap KD maka akan dianalisis sebuah indikator. Indikator akan digabungkan dengan miskonsepsi yang ditemukan tadi untuk mendapatkan indikator soal sehingga dihasilkan two tier diagnostik test untuk mendeteksi miskonsepsi siswa SMA pada materi gerak.

Abstract

In the 21st century and the industrial revolution era 4.0, students are required to have thinking skills to solve problems around them by utilizing available information. But in Science learning, the material raised is not from the environment around the students. For example, in the material of organism or living things interaction, the ecosystem discussed is outside Indonesia, besides Indonesia has 47 types of ecosystem. One of them is Dieng. Less contextual Science material causes poor of students positive attitude towards Science. Thus, the purpose of this study is to identify the effect of using the Science module web on thinking skills and positive attitude towards Science. This study was a quasi-experimental study with class 7C and class 7D in SMP N 1 Wonosobo as subjects. Data collection technique used question and questionnaire. Data were processed using the Kruskal Wallis test, and it was found that the effect was largely using the effect size. The result of the study shows that there are differences in thinking skill and positive attitude towards Science between the experimental and control classes. The web module Science has a significant effect on thinking skill with effect size large of 0,9 and moderate effect on positive attitude towards Science with an effect size of 0,7.

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF SCIENCE WEB MODUL INTEGRATED LOCAL POTENTIAL OF DIENG MOUNTAIN ECOSYSTEM TOWARD THINGKING SKILL Abstract21st-century learning requires learning media that can improve thinking skills, including understanding information, formulating alternative solutions and solving problems in the environment around students by utilizing the available information sources. This study aimed to identify the influence of the science web module integrated local potential "Dieng Mountain Ecosystem" to thinking skills. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental with a post control group design. The researcher used random cluster sampling to get two sample groups were 7C and 7E SMP N 1 Wonosobo. The data collection instruments used were essay tests based on the indicators of thinking skills. Data were processed using the Kruskal Wallis test and effect size. The study results showed that there were differences in thinking skills measurement results between the experimental and control classes. The science web science module has a high influence on thinking skills with an effect size of 0.9. AbstrakPembelajaran pada abad ini membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan thinking skills meliputi kemampuan untuk memahami informasi, merumuskan alternatif pemecahan masalah dan menyelesaikan masalah yang ada di sekitar siswa dengan memanfaatkan sumber informasi yang tersedia. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh dari modul web IPA terintegrasi potensi lokal “Ekosistem Gunung Dieng” terhadap thinking skills. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi-experimental dengan post control group design. Peneliti menggunakan metode pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling untuk mendapatkan dua kelompok sampel yaitu kelas 7C dan 7E di SMP N 1 Wonosobo. Pengumpulan data thinking skills menggunakan tes uraian berdasarkan indikatornya. Data yang didapatkan diolah menggunakan uji Kruskal Wallis untuk menganalisis perbedaan hasil thinking skills pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Pengaruh web modul IPA yang dikembangkan terhadap thingking skills diketahui melalui perhitungan effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan thinking skills antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperiman yang dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan web modul sains yang ditunjukkan dengan effect size sebesar 0,9.

Abstract

Soal evaluasi hasil belajar yang dibuat secara online dan video pembahasan soal tersebut merupakan kebutuhan yang penting dan mendesak di masa pandemi covid-19. Berdasarkan hasil self-assessment, guru IPA yang tergabung di dalam MGMP IPA Kabupaten Kubu Raya belum optimal memanfaatkan google form untuk menyusun soal online dan sebagian besar guru belum pernah membuat video pembahasan soal. Fitur form limiter dan form builder masih jarang digunakan guru ketika membuat soal online menggunakan google form. Hampir semua guru belum bisa merekam layar menggunakan faststone capture dan mengunggah video yang dibuat pada halaman youtube. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini dilakukan workshop penyusunan soal online menggunakan google form dan video pembahasan soal menggunakan faststone capture. Setelah workshop dilakukan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan menyusun soal online sebesar 9,96% dan peningkatan kemampuan peserta membuat video pembahasan soal menggunakan faststone capture sebesar 77,25%. Diharapkan guru membuat bank soal online untuk kebutuhan evaluasi hasil belajar IPA dan mengunggah video pembahasan soal tersebut sebagai feedback bagi peserta didik.

Abstract

Reading and taking notes are thinking processes. By combining the activity of reading the text and continuing with making notes, the cognitive structure and existing knowledge will be modified to accommodate the new knowledge. This study applied the quasi-experimental method with one-group posttest only design.  The treatment of this study is implementation of workhop. Amount of 53 voluntary public primary school teachers atSambas regency-Westkalimantan-Indonesia in second semester of academic year 2021/2022 participated in this workshop. After the training, a six short-answers test,  a six performance test, and a questionnaire  were administered. The results revealed that all (100%) teachers have recognized the patterns of texts of squence, classification, and problem solution. However, amount of teachers (28.30%) did not recognize of the generalization pattern, 11.32% did not recognize the comparasion and contrast pattern, and some of them (20.75%) did not recognize of the enumeration pattern. Many teachers had succeed in making note of mnemonics. The participants argued that workshop aimed to improve quality of teaching-learning at school could be conducted in extensively at the future.

Abstract

This study was designed to analyze the effect of using direct instruction model learning with the assistance of the Phyphox application media on simple harmonic vibration material experiments based on students' learning outcomes in terms of factual, conceptual, and procedural knowledge. This research method was a pre-experimental design using the one-group pretest-posttest design type. The samples for this research were the students of class X MIPA Al-Mustaqim who were studying for the 2021–2022 academic year. A saturated sampling technique was used to perform the sampling. The data collection technique for this study was a test consisting of thirteen multiple-choice questions and three essays. The data analysis technique used in this study was the Paired Sample T-Test. The data analysis findings showed that before being given treatment, the average score of factual knowledge was 39.20, conceptual knowledge was 47.60, and procedural knowledge was 44.00. After the treatment, the average score for factual knowledge was 68.80, conceptual knowledge was 67.97, and procedural knowledge was 67.00. The results of hypothesis testing using the paired sample t-test showed differences in the average learning outcomes before and after using the direct instruction learning model assisted by the Phyphox application media in terms of factual, conceptual, and procedural knowledge. Based on these findings, it was determined that the direct instruction learning model with the assistance of the Phyphox application was effective in learning to provide students with opportunities for the successful learning process, with a Cohen's effect size of 1.94 (classified as very high). The direct instruction model of learning with the assistance of the Phyphox application media can be used as input and a reference for teachers who struggle with low student achievement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil kemampuan representasi peserta didik SMA di Kota Pontianak pada materi Gerak Lurus. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berasal dari 2 SMA negeri dan 2 SMA swasta di Kota Pontianak dengan jumlah 339 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan wawancara. Tes yang digunakan yaitu instrumen tes kemampuan representasi fisika pada materi Kinematika Gerak Lurus yang dikembangkan oleh Ceuppens et al (2018) sebanyak 16 butir. Kemampuan representasi peserta didik diperoleh dari data jawaban tes yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik penskoran yakni skor 1 untuk jawaban benar dan skor 0 untuk jawaban salah yang kemudian dikategorikan ke dalam 3 kategori yaitu tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa kemampuan representasi gerak lurus peserta didik SMA di Kota Pontianak secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori sedang dengan nilai rata−rata 65,81. Nilai rata−rata kemampuan representasi peserta didik pada setiap bentuk representasi juga berada pada kategori sedang, yakni representasi tabel ke grafik (T−G) 71,16, grafik ke tabel (G−T) 76,03, grafik ke persamaan matematis (G−M) 58,99, serta persamaan matematis ke grafik (M−G) 57,07. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa representasi matematis menjadi bentuk representasi yang nilai rata−ratanya paling rendah. Maka dari itu, diharapkan guru dapat menggunakan strategi pembelajaran berbasis representasi dalam pembelajaran fisika agar kemampuan representasi peserta didik dapat terlatih dengan baik terkhususnya kemampuan representasi matematis guna meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika peserta didik.

Abstract

Force is one the physics cocncepts which is challenging for students. Several tests have been developed to measure students’ understanding about force. However, the instruments for assessing students’ competence to represent force concepts in various formats are limited. This study aims to develop and validate a multiple-choice test to assess students’ representational competence of force. Research and Development research is implemented in producing the test. The test includes three representations: graphs, equations, and words or descriptions which covers two contexts: on horizontal surface and on inclined plane. Moreover, this test involves three different situations namely an object is at rest, moving with constant velocity, and moving with constant acceleration. Each representation consists of 10 items and the total of items is 30. This test is administered to 51 undergraduate physics education students. The results show that the range of item difficulty index is 0.07-0.64 and discrimantory power is from 0.14 to 1.00. The reliability index for representational competence test of force to be 0.80 which is sufficiently high measurement. These results suggest that couple items of the test need to be revised before administering to the large sample

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to analyze the effect of the flipped classroom on critical thinking skills and learning outcomes in high school physics learning. This study's specific objective is to determine the effect size and the influence of research characteristics from various literature articles. The population in this study amounted to 21 research articles, and then the research sample was taken from the population using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used coding sheets. The results of the meta-analysis of this study indicated that the flipped classroom could affect critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes in high school physics learning. The average effect size of the flipped classroom model on critical thinking skills in high school physics learning was 1.964, and the average effect size of the flipped classroom model on learning outcomes in high school physics learning was 2.058. This study analyzed eight research characteristics in the article that were thought to influence critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. Among them were the gender of the researcher, the research university, the research location, the physics material, the type of research, the sample size used, data collection tools, and statistical tests. The results of the analysis showed the characteristics of research articles that influence critical thinking skills and learning outcomes: sample size, researcher's gender, data collection tools, and materials, making these characteristics need to be considered in research.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in students science process skills after the STEAM approach is applied and to determine the effectiveness of the STEAM approach on students science process skills in the subject of temperature and expansion at SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak. The research design uses the One Group pretest-posttest design and the research instrument uses science process skills test questions. Data collection techniques using measurement techniques, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was used to determine science process skills before and after being given treatment and to find out students science process skills based on their categories and indicators. Based on the data analysis carried out in this study, there was an increase in students science process skills in the subject of temperature and expansion which were taught using the STEAM approach. Judging from the results of the average score of science process skills before being applied at 31.80 and after being applied at 74.11. The increase in KPS can also be seen from the N-GAIN value of 0.617 so that it is in the medium category. Then for the effectiveness of the STEAM approach to improving science process skills using the Effect Size, a value of 3.89 is obtained so that it is included in the high category
