In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal 2019, Palembang 4-5 September 2019. pp. 452-458.  Palembang: Unsri Press. The objectives of this study were: (1) to describe the behavior of farmers swamp rice farming (2) to calculate the production and income of swamp rice farmers, and (3) to analyze the correlation between behavior with production and income of swampy rice farmers. The study was done at Sei Lais with the survey method. Samples taken randomly amounted to 35 people from the population of 263 people. Data consists of primary and secondary data. Data processed by tabulation then analyzed descriptively, and analysis of the correlation between behavior with production and income was carried out by the Spearman Rank Correlation Test. The results of the study showed that: (1) The behavior of farmers in handling Swamp rice was of moderate criteria, with an average score of 31.74 (70.53% of the ideal value). (2) Rice production averages 3172 kg/lg/yr, and the average income is Rp. 8,653,514.29;  and (3) There is a significant positive correlation between farmer's behavior with production and income, both of correlation value in the category is medium tightly. The correlation between behavior with rice production with the value of the correlation coefficient Rs = 0.425 significant at α = 0.05; and the correlation between behavior and farmer income with a correlation coefficient value of Rs = 0.457 significant at α = 0.01. While the correlation between rice production and farmer's income has a high correlation coefficient (very close), with a value of Rs = 0, 977 significant at α = 0.01.Keywords: farmer behaviour, income, production, swamp rice

Result showed that the PHBS coefficient with odds ratio-0.760 (1.561-0.370) with significance of 0.045 less than the 0.05 significance level (α). This means that hypothesis one (H1) was accepted if the variable quality of health service, constant then every increase PHBS effect on the occurrence of diarrhea. The better PHBS will decrease the incidences of diarrhea. Coefficient of health service quality with odds ratio 1.598 (3.217-0.74) with significant equal to 0.009 less than level of significant (α) 0.05. This means that hypothesis two (H2) is accepted if the variable PHBS, constant then the quality of health services affect the occurrence of diarrhea. The better quality of health care will reduce the incidence of diarrhea Keywords: PHBS, quality of service, health, diarrhea

Abstract

Sakir IM, Sriati S, Saptawan A, Juniah R.  2020.  History of floating rice nursery as ogan ethnic local wisdom managing wetlands. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang  20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).This study aims to examine the history of floating rice nurseries and the local wisdom of the Ogan ethnic in Pemulutan in managing the wetland swamp environment. The research method used is phenomenology for describing in detail the phenomena of the agricultural system carried out by the Pemulutan community. The results showed that the history of floating rice nurseries carried out by the Ogan ethnic group is estimated to have existed since the traditionalist generation. The traditionalist generation is a generation that is simple, patriotic and wise in managing the environment. The simplicity is shown by the Ogan ethnic group in Pemulutan in managing lowland swamp farming, using local resources such as wild plants from swamp grass (berondong) and freshwater algae (reamon). Berondong and Reamon are the names of local people for floating rice nurseries. The Ogan ethnic group uses natural resources around agricultural land as a form of local wisdom to adapt to their environment. Local wisdom in managing lowland swamps is Indonesia's cultural wealth that must be preserved. The Pemulutan community preserves the swamp farming system using floating techniques. This agricultural model has been applied from generation to generation as a legacy of wetland swamp farming. Wetland in west Pemulutan is spreading over 11 villages, namely; The bund or shallow backland area is around 1,279 hectares or 33 per cent, the middle backland area is 1,909 hectares or 49 per cent, the remaining 18 per cent or 736 hectares are deep backlands. The bund and middle backland are potential lands for agricultural cultivation, while deep backland is using for fisheries and livestock.
