Abstract

Each individual has a diverse personality which is categorized by the Big Five Personality traits and it’s important for a successful education. A successful education especially in mathematics major aimed at the good of student’s mathematical abilities, one of which is good mathematical connection ability.  This research aims to determine the mathematical connection ability of junior high school students based on the Big Five personality in Bekasi. This research used qualitative research case studies with data triangulation. Participants of this research were junior high school students in grade ninth. The instrument used in the form is a test description as many as four questions that refer to the indicators of mathematical connection ability and has been consulted with experts and the Big Five personality traits questionnaire that has been adopted. The results of this research describe: 1) mathematical connection ability of the student in Extraversion dimension on indicator 1 was 60%,  indicator 2 was 0%, and indicator 3 was 0%, 2) the mathematical connection ability of students in Agreeableness dimension on indicator 1 was 60%,  indicator 2 was 25%, and indicator 3 was 25%, 3) mathematical connection ability of students in Conscientiousness dimension on indicator 1 was 60%,  indicator 2 was 35%, and indicator 3 was 25%, 4) mathematical connection ability of a student in Neuroticism dimension on indicator 1 was 20%,  indicator 2 was 0%, and indicator 3 was 20%, 5) mathematical connection ability of students in Openness dimension on indicator 1 was 64.21%,  indicator 2 was 27.37%, and indicator 3 was 34.21%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis dan self-concept siswa SMA melalui pendekatan saintifik pada materi trigonometri. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain control group pretest-postest dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling sehingga terpilih dua kelompok pada kelas X SMAN 1 Pangkalan Koto Baru. Kelompok eksperimen diberi pembelajaran melalui pendekatan saintifik (PS) sedangkan kelompok kontrol diberi pembelajaran biasa (PB). Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari tes tertulis dan angket self-concept yang dianalisis dengan uji statistik t-test atau Mann Whitney. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: a) pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa melalui pembelajaran PS lebih baik dari siswa yang memperoleh PB, dan b) Self-concept matematis siswa melalui pembelajaran PS lebih baik dari siswa yang memperoleh PB.

Abstract

ProProfs Brain Games sebagai media alat ukur pemahaman pada materi yang telah dipelajari. Selain itu,  ProProfs Brain Games juga dapat memberikan kesan yang berbeda bagi siswa pada saat mengerjakan soal karena yang disuguhkan bukan hanya soal berbentuk teks tetapi bisa dalam bentuk games yang menarik dan tidak membosankan. Model penelitian yang kami gunakan yaitu model Design and Development (DD) atau dalam bahasa Indonesia dikenal dengan desain dan pengembangan. Pada model Design and Development (DD) ini kami mendesain, mengembangkan serta mengevaluasi produk yang akan dikembangkan sebagai dasar peninjauan pengembangan produk. Hasil penelitian dan uji coba produk terhadap siswa kelas V SDIT Insan Teladan dan guru mata pelajaran PAI, media tersebut dianggap layak untuk digunakan dalam mengukur pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI di kelas V SD. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dengan adanya persentase penilaian akhir yaitu siswa 81,5%, dan guru PAI 82%. Yang artinya website ProProfs Brain Games sangat baik dan layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

The use of hands-on activity-based mathematics learning media for mentally retarded children and cerebral palsy is largely unexplored. Meanwhile, observations of children with special needs (mental retardation and cerebral palsy) at school have not shown good basic math skills, such as counting, recognizing numbers, recognizing letters, performing math operations (for example, addition and subtraction). This study aims to develop a hands-on activity-based learning media model for mentally retarded children and cerebral palsy to improve understanding of mathematics in reading, writing, and arithmetic subjects. The method used is Research and Development, where the subject is the Special School in Bandung, Indonesia. The instruments used in this study were documentation, classroom observation, interviews, and tests of mathematical comprehension abilities. The results showed that a hands-on activity-based learning model could be used to improve basic math skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic for children with mental retardation and cerebral palsy.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis community service aims to improve the multiplication operation ability of the students of SD Melong Mandiri 5 on mathematics material through education of nafier bone and geoboard mathematics learning media. The subjects of this service activity are 3rd grade students of SD Melong Mandiri 5 Cimahi. The stages of service activities include the observation stage, the planning and preparation stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The observation phase focuses on finding the partner's priority problems. The planning stage consists of determining the schedule of service, licensing, training subject classes, providing teaching aids and discussing appropriate solutions with partners. The implementation phase includes education and training of mathematics teaching aids to improve multiplication operation skills and recognition of flat shapes. The evaluation stage is carried out by analyzing the results of student work and the student presentation process. The method applied is the provision of material regarding multiplication and geometry as well as drill and practice. The place of implementation is at SD Melong Mandiri 5, Cimahi City. The number of participants is 37 3rd grade elementary school students. The results of this service activity consist of: (1) the use of the nafier bone for multiplication makes it easier for students to learn; (2) students understand and recognize various kinds of flat shapes; (3) improve students' understanding abilities to the multiplication operation.Keywords: Geobord, Nafier Bone ,Props ABSTRAKPengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan operasi perkalian  siswa SD Melong mandiri 5 pada materi matematika melalui edukasi media pembelajaran matematika tulang nafier dan geoboard. Subjek  kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu  siswa kelas 3 SD Melong mandiri 5  Cimahi. Tahapan kegiatan pengabdian meliputi tahap observasi, tahap perencanaan dan persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Tahap observasi berfokus pada mencari masalah prioritas pihak mitra. Tahap perencanaan terdiri dari kegiatan penentuan jadwal pengabdian, perizinan, kelas subjek pelatihan, penyedian alat peraga dan diskusi solusi yang sesuai dengan mitra. Tahap pelaksanaan meliputi edukasi dan pelatihan alat peraga matematika untuk meningkatkan kemampuan operasi perkalian dan pengenalan bentuk bangun datar. Tahapan evaluasi dilakukan dengan cara menganalisis hasil pekerjaan siswa dan proses presentasi siswa. Metode yang diterapkan adalah pemberian materi berkenaan perkalian dan geometri serta drill dan  praktek. Tempat pelaksanaan di SD Melong Mandiri 5 Kota Cimahi. Jumlah peserta adalah 37 siswa kelas 3 SD.. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini terdiri dari: (1) penggunaan tulang nafier untuk perkalian memudahkan siswa belajar;(2) siswa memahami dan mengenal macam-macam bangun datar;(3) meningkatkan kemampuan pemahamana siswa terhadap operasi perkalian.Kata Kunci: Alat Peraga, Geobord, Tulang Nafier.

Abstract

Interactive media is something that is important to be developed in order to improve students' mathematical understanding abilities. One of the learning media used is scratch. Scratch-assisted learning media on rank numbers material is made to make it easier for students to understand concepts and to increase student interest in learning, by studying it is expected to be able to give birth to creative students in making learning media based on scratch animation. The research design used in this research is the research design of 4D model development (Four D Models). This includes 4 stages, namely the definition, design, development and dissemination stages, which the researcher then simplifies by changing from four stages (4D) to three stages (3D), namely: defining, designing and developing.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe State Fisheries Management Area of the Republic of Indonesia (WPP-NRI) 712 covers the coastal areas of eastern Lampung, the northern seas of the island of Java, the southern islands of Kalimantan, and islands in the Java Sea. The distribution of mangroves in WPP-NRI 712 has been studied by many researchers. The research in this paper is to collect data on the distribution of mangroves that have been written in published journals. Data obtained from the journal states that the distribution of mangroves in WPP-NRI 712 has decreased due to human and natural activities. The characteristics of mangroves in WPP-NRI have similarities with mangroves in other marine coastal areas in Indonesia and other tropical areas. This study aims to determine changes in the area of mangrove forest cover in the Fisheries Management Area (WPP) 712 starting from 2011 to 2020. Keywords: area, ecosystem, impact, change, WPP-NRI 712 ABSTRAKWilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan Negara Republik Indonesia (WPP-NRI) 712 meliputi daerah pesisir lampung timur, laut utara pulau Jawa, selatan Pulau Kalimantan, dan pulau yang berada di laut Jawa. sebaran mangrove yang ada di WPP-NRI 712 telah diteliti banyak peneliti. Penelitian pada tulisan ini yaitu mengumpulkan data-data sebaran mangrove yang telah ditulis di jurnal-jurnal yang telah terbit. Data yang didapat dari jurnal menyatakan sebaran mangrove di WPP-NRI 712 mengalami penurunan akibat aktivitas manusia dan alam. Karakteristik mangrove di WPP-NRI memiliki kesamaan dengan mangrove di wilayah pesisir laut lainnya di Indonesia dan daerah tropis lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan luas tutupan hutan mangrove yang berada di wilayah pengelola perikanan (WPP) 712 dimulai dari tahun 2011 sampai tahun 2020. Kata kunci: ekosistem, dampak, luasan, perubahan, WPP-NRI 712

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the quality of improving students' spatial orientation skills through CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) drill and practice. This study included experiments with the Non-Equivalent Control Group Design involving students at SMPN 18 Bandung selected by teacher, with 29 students in the experimental class and 26 students in the control class. The instrument used was a spatial orientation ability test instrument. The results of this study concluded that (1) the quality of improving the spatial orientation abilities of students who received CAI drill and practice was moderate, and the quality of improving spatial orientation abilities who received conventional learning was low. (2) the increase in the spatial orientation ability of students who get CAI drill and practice is higher than students who get conventional learning.
