Abstract

OPTIMIZATION OF FEED ADDITIVE ON BODY WEIGHT, ABDOMINAL FAT, AND BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS BROILER CHICKEN ABSTRACT   Culture to consume a healthy food as the factor that is very important to produce high-quality human resources.  Broiler chicken is one of food consumed widely, as a source of proteins and fats in large numbers in indonesia for all age (kids and adults). This research aims to  assess the optimization of the feed additive on body weight and blood glucose. The independent variable is giving a variant of feed additive herbs (Aloe vera sp, Morinda citrifolia sp, and Zingiber officinale sp). Dependent variable is body weight, abdominal fat, and blood glucose levels. Variable control of this research is the number of feed, health management, the type of chicken, the age of chicken, and  the system of cage. Some preliminary research has been done by researchers at various variant feed additive herbs to produce broiler chicken with the status of the physiology and performans ideal optimally. The results of this research shows the influence of treatment variant feed additive on increased body weight (P<0,05), There is the influence of treatment against the low blood glucose levels (P<0,05), and no influence treatment of abdominal fat (P>0,05).   Keyword: body weight, abdominal fat, blood glucose, feed additive, broiler   ABSTRAK   Budaya mengkonsumsi pangan yang sehat menjadi faktor yang sangat penting untuk menghasilkan sumber daya manusia Indonesia yang berkualitas. Ayam broiler merupakan salah satu pangan yang dikonsumsi secara luas, sebagai sumber protein dan lemak dalam jumlah besar di Indonesia untuk semua usia (anak-anak maupun dewasa). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji optimalisasi feed additive terhadap performans terhadap bobot badan dan penstabilan glukosa darah. Variabel independen adalah pemberian varian feed additive herbal (lidah buaya, buah mengkudu, jahe). Variabel dependen terdiri dari bobot badan, lemak abdominal, dan kadar glukosa darah ayam. Variabel kendali penelitian ini adalah jumlah ransum, manajemen kesehatan, jenis ayam, umur ayam, dan sistem perkandangan. Beberapa penelitian pendahuluan telah dilakukan oleh peneliti pada berbagai varian feed additive herbal untuk menghasilkan ayam broiler dengan status fisiologi ideal dan performans yang optimal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada pengaruh perlakuan varian feed additive terhadap peningkatan bobot badan (P<0,05), ada pengaruh perlakuan terhadap rendahnya kadar glukosa darah (P<0,05), dan tidak ada pengaruh perlakuan terhadap lemak abdominal (P>0,05).   Kata kunci: Bobot badan, lemak abdominal, glukosa darah, feed additive, Broiler

Abstract

Kondisi di Desa Karangpaing Penawangan Grobogan menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas penduduknya 80% petani, 5% pedagang dan 5 % PNS dan 10 % buruh tani. Berdasarkan info dari Pemerintah kabupaten Grobogan yang sedang menggalakkan kegiatan kewirausahaan yaitu melalui usaha perikanan. Desa Karangpaing memiliki potensi untuk mengembangkan perikanan karena daerah Desa Karangpaing dialiri oleh aliran irigasi bendungan Kedung Ombo sehingga memudahkan masyarakat dalam budidaya ikan, berdasarkan data dilapangan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian kecil masyarakatnya pernah mencoba usaha perikanan ikan lele tetapi belum ada yang sukses, hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya pemahaman dan teknis yang baik. Oleh sebab itu perlu diperkenalkan budidaya ikan yang lain seperti ikan patin yang nilai jualnya lebih tinggi dan lebih tahan terhadap hama dibanding ikan lele biasa. Hal ini menjadikan kami harus melakukan kerjasama dengan RW 1 dan RW 2 desa Karangpaing. Tujuan utama yang dibidik adalah mengembangkan kembali semangat warga untuk berwirausaha dalam bidang perikanan, menjadikan Desa Karangpaing menjadi sentra budidaya ikan patin dan meningkatkan taraf hidup warga. Target pada tahun pertama adalah warga RW I dan RWII mampu membuat tempat pembibitan ikan patin, memproduksi ikan patin, membuat variasi olahan ikan patin dan mampu memasarkan produk ikan patin. Kegiatan yang sudah dilakukan adalah 1) Penyuluhan tentang budidaya ikan Patin dan desain kolam ikan, 2) pembuatan kolam ikan patin 3) pelatihan tentang pembuatan variasi olahan ikan Patin dan packing hasil olahan, 4) workshop tentang strategi pemasaran produk ikan Patin. Dalam pelatihan variasi olahan ikan patin telah dilakukan pelatihan pembuatan variasi olahan ikan patin yang diikuti 2 kelompok yaitu gendhing jaya dan Nambangan Jaya dengan hasil olahan seperti pepes ikan patin, kripik kulit ikan patin, abon ikan patin dan nugget ikan patin, masyarakat sangat antusias mengikuti dan melakukan produksi secara mandiri.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was held in May 2016 and finished in June 2016. The objective of this research are to find out the diversity and the distribution of Mollusca on the Bondo beach and Prawean Bandengan Beach in Jepara. The method of obtaining the data is Line Transek and it is assisted with kuadran technique along 26 meters. The location is divided by two stations. The first station is on Bondo beach and the second station is on Prawean Bandengan beach. Each station consists of 5 transek. The distance of each transek is 50 meters. Each transek consists of 5 kuadran. The used kuadran is 2x2m2in size. The distance of each kuadran is 5 meters. The result in this research is the diversity level that consists of Shanon-Winner Index, equalization index, equation index, differentiation index and distribution of Mollusca which use descriptive analysis. The result shows that 11 species were found in Bondo beach and Prawean Bandengan Beach are classified as medium category in Mollusca diversity level categories which the diversity index (H’) in Bondo Beach and Prawean Bandengan Beach were 1,58 and 2,09 respectively. Mollusca were found at the different substrate like dead coral, rubble, sand, muddy sand and logs. Keywords : Bondo Beach, Diversity, Distribution, Mollusca, and Prawean Bandengan Beach ABSTRAKPenelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2016 sampai dengan bulan Juni 2016 bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis dan persebaran mollusca di Pantai Bondo dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan Kabupaten Jepara. Pengambilan data kenanekaragaman jenis dan persebaran mollusca dilakukan dengan metode line transek berbantu kuadrat sepanjang 26 meter. Lokasi dibagi menjadi 2 stasiun. Stasiun 1 di Pantai Bondo dan stasiun 2 di Pantai Prawean Bandengan. Setiap stasiun terdiri dari 5 transek. Jarak antar transek yaitu 50 meter. Setiap transeknya terdiri 5 kuadrat. Kuadrat yang digunakan yaitu 2x2m2. Jarak tiap kuadrat yaitu 5 meter. Data yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat keanekaragaman jenis meliputi Indeks Shanon-Winner, Indeks Kemerataan, Indeks Kesamaan dan Ketidaksamaan dan persebaran mollusca . Adapun analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian di Pantai Bondo dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan Kabupaten Jepara ditemukan 11 spesies, dengan nilai tingkat keanekaragaman jenis mollusca di Pantai Bondo dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan termasuk kedalam kategori melimpah sedang, dengan indeks keanekaragaman jenis (H’) di Pantai Bondo sebesar 1,58 dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan sebesar 2,09. Mollusca di Pantai Bondo dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan ditemukan pada substrat yang berbeda-beda yaitu karang mati, pecahan karang, pasir, pasir berlumpur dan batang kayu. Kata kunci : Pantai Bondo, kenaekaragaman jenis, persebaran, Mollusca, , dan Pantai Prawean Bandengan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth response and production of three varieties of lettuce with hydroponic techniques using Floating Raft system terms of plant height, number of leaves and wet weight near input, middle and near output. Research time at May 19 - June 13 2018 at PT. Hydroponics Agrofarm Bandungan. Sampling was done by simple random sampling in all three varieties of lettuce is Jonction varieties L. sativa capitata, Romaine varieties L. sativa longifolia and Red Saladbowl varieties L.sativa crispa. Research using Completely Randomized Design with 3 replications. Data were analyzed using variance test (ANOVA) and continued using the 5% BNT test. The results showed that the highest growth response and production of three varieties of lettuce on the Floating Raft system hydroponic occurred in lettuce placed near the nutrition input.

Abstract

The villagers of Wonoagung, Sub-district Karangtengah at Demak Regency is the farmer Community, especially in terms of milkfish farming. The problems is inadequate harvest of milkfish farming. This is because the low level of cultivation techniques and an understanding of the threat of disease and pest predators to milkfish. To find the solution of the problems of the milkfish farmers, training and workshops about the concept of Biosecurity for the farmers has been implemented. The enthusiasm of the farmers look very high, many of the problems surrounding the Milkfish cultivation could be answered. The application of Biosecurity are becoming the perfect solution for the Milkfish farmers in the village of Wonoagung Sub-district Karangtengah at Demak Regency in dealing with the threat of either disease and pest predators. Abstract

Limbah cair batik menjadi salah satu masalah di lingkungan khususnya di perairan sungai. Banyak industri batik yang relatif masih lemah dalam hal penanganan limbahnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Kitosan dari kombinasi Cangkang Keong Sawah (Pila ampullacea) dan Cangkang Kerang Darah (Anadara granosa) sebagai Biokoagulan dalam menurunkan kadar logam Kromium dan TDS pada limbah cair batik.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 1 kontrol P0 dan 3 perlakuan larutan Kitosan dengan perbedaan dosis yaitu : P1(150mg/25ml), P2 (200mg/25ml), dan P3 (250mg/25ml). Masing-masing perlakuan diulangi sebanyak 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kitosan berbahan dasar komposit Cangkang Keong Sawah dan Kerang Darah mampu memberikan pengaruh yang berbeda nyata dalam menurunkan kadar Kromium dan TDS pada limbah cair batik. Perlakuan Kitosan terbaik berdasarkan Uji Jarak Ganda Duncan untuk menurunkan kadar Kromium adalah P1(150mg/25ml) dan untuk kadar TDS adalah P3 (250mg/25ml).

Abstract

Indonesia has fertile natural conditions, providing great potential for developing horticultural commodities, one of which is ornamental plants. Chrysanthemum is an ornamental plant that has high economic value and is in high demand, so it must be balanced with the quality and quantity of the flower itself. Chrysanthemum flowers are very susceptible to physical damage after harvesting. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of giving a combination of coconut air and sugarcane air on freshness and absorption of cut chrysanthemum solution. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) using 1 factor with 4 treatments with 3 replications.P0: 1 liter water (control), P1: 200 ml / l coconut water + 25 ml / l sugarcane juice + 775 ml air, P2: 400 ml / l coconut water + 35 ml / l sugarcane juice + 565 ml air P3: Coconut water 600 ml / l + 45 ml / l sugarcane juice + 355 ml air. Research data on the shelf life of hedge flowers were good and the solution was most absorbed in the P1 treatment with a combination of 200 mL / L coconut water and 25 mL / L sugarcane water with flower freshness reaching 13.3 days. and the absorbed solution was 66.67. Based on the research, it can be denied that there is an effect and interaction of coconut water and sugarcane juice on the freshness and absorption time of the cut chrysanthemum solution.

Abstract

Phalaenopsis var. Happy Valentine orchid is a plant with a growth and flowering process of approximately 1-2 years. Generally, orchids can bloom in about 9-12 months. Optimal concentrations of Thiamine HCl (vitamin B1) are required to support the vegetative growth of Phalaenopsis var. Happy orchids. This research aims to determine the effect and the best concentration of vitamin B1 among 1ml, 2ml, and 3ml on the vegetative growth, including leaf span, root quantity, leaf width, and length of young leaves of Phalaenopsis var. Happy Valentine seedlings. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), with treatment factors being the concentration of vitamin B1 and Growmore fertilizer, comprising four treatment levels and six replications, namely V0 = 2gr/L Growmore fertilizer, V1 = 2gr/L Growmore fertilizer + 1ml B1, V2 = 2gr/L Growmore fertilizer + 2ml B1, dan V3 = 2gr/L Growmore fertilizer + 3ml B1. This research used 24 Phalaenopsis var. Happy Valentine orchid seedlings as research samples. The data were analyzed using ANOVA with a significance level 0.05 and subsequently subjected to Duncan's test. The results indicate that vitamin B1 significantly affects leaf span, length of young leaves, and the quantity of roots in Phalaenopsis var. Happy Valentine.
