Abstract

Fusarium wilt disease/moler is a concern in onion cultivation. Many farmers apply chemical pesticides such as azoxystrobin and difenoconazole to control the diseases. Both of these chemical pesticides are currently exhibiting a decline in effectiveness, prompting farmers to increase the dosage and frequency of application. Recommendations for biological control, including Trichoderma spp.. This study aimed to determine the influence of application time of of Trichoderma spp. in various media types on the incidence of moler disease and shallot growth and yield. This study was conducted in Tabalong district, South Kalimantan, from February to June 2019 using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial comprising two nested designs. The first factor was the type of media in which Trichoderma spp.. was applied, namely solid and liquid. The second factor was the application time of Trichoderma spp.. Level 1 was the application of Fusarium sp. seven days before planting and Trichoderma spp.. seven days after planting. Level 2 included the application of Trichoderma spp.. seven days before planting and Fusarium sp. simultaneously during planting. Level 3 involved the administration of Trichoderma spp.. concurrently with planting and Fusarium sp. seven days later. This investigation used one positive control (without treatment) and one negative control (shallots inoculated with Fusarium). Each experimental unit was consisted of ten plants and replicated three times. The parameters observed were the incubation period of Fusarium sp., disease incidence, number of leaves, plant height, number of cloves, and average clove weight. The study found that the application time of Trichoderma on various types of media affected the incidence of Fusarium disease, the number of leaves, and the number of shallot cloves.When compared to liquid media, the application of solid media resulted in a reduced incidence of Fusarium disease and a greater frequency of flares. The application time on solid media gave a low response to moles. As for liquid media, the lowest incidence of moler disease occurred at the seven days before planting.

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) identify the interaction effect between varieties and mixed doses of urea + ZA on the growth and yield of shallots in Ultisol soil; (2) to identify the effect of each shallot varieties and the dosage mixture of urea + ZA which produce the highest yield in Ultisol soils. The research was conducted from April to June 2019 in Tungkaran Village, Martapura, with a split plot design. The main plot was shallot varieties (V) with three levels, namely Biru Lancor (v1), Bima Brebes (v2), and Super Philip (v3). Subplots were a mixture of urea + ZA (P) with four levels, namely 0 kg urea + 600 kg ZA (p1), 100 kg urea + ZA 400 kg (p2), 200 kg urea + 200 kg ZA (p3), and 300 urea kg + ZA 0 kg (p4). Each experiment was repeated three times. Therefore, there were 36 experimental units. Observation parameters included plant height, number of leaves per clump, number of bulbs per clump, fresh bulbs' weight per clump, and yield of stored dry bulbs. The results showed that the Bima Brebes variety (v2) had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of bulbs per clump, the weight of fresh bulbs per clump, and yield of stored dry bulbs. The mixture of 200 kg urea + 200 g ZA (p3) significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers per clump, the weight of fresh tubers per clump, and yield of stored dry tubers.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThere is an intriguing debate relating to the relationship of economic development to democratization. Southeast Asia region is one of the fast-growing economic development, and it also has a long journey to democratization. The result, however, is ambiguous regarding the internal dynamic of this region that hinders the possibility to have consolidated democracy. However, an achievement in economic development might facilitate political development. This paper will provide a critical note about the relationship between development and the political regime in the SEA region. This paper also analyzes the reason why there is no significant change regarding political regime within this region even though some countries are continuing to have positive achievements in democratization. Also, autocracy and the authoritarian regime still survive in this region. This paper assesses the progress of social and economic development and its impacts on domestic politics, then, attempts to explain the process of political transformation in the SEA region to understand the causes that hinder the spreading of democratization. Qualitative method will be used to analyze data and provide conclusion of this study.Keywords: democratization, development, political transformation, SEA countries

Abstract

Pertumbuhan tanaman kacang tanah seringkali menghadapi kendala  biotik antara lain infeksi karat dan bercak daun akhir yang disebabkan oleh jamur Puccinia arachidis dan Cercosporidium personatum. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi ketahanan 24 genotipe kacang tanah terhadap penyakit karat dan bercak daun dengan cara inokulasi kedua patogen tersebut. Penelitian disusun berdasar rancangan acak kelompok, tiga ulangan. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman, perkembangan penyakit, jumlah pustul, jumlah dan diameter uredospora. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gejala penyakit karat ditemukan pada minggu pertama setelah inokulasi, sedangkan gejala bercak daun pada minggu ke enam setelah inokulasi. Satu genotipe bereaksi agak tahan dan genotipe lainnya agak rentan hingga rentan terhadap karat daun, sedangkan terhadap bercak daun, semua genotipe bereaksi agak tahan dan tahan pada 10 minggu setelah inokulasi (MSI). Jumlah pustul dan bercak tertinggi terdapat pada kelompok genotipe agak rentan hingga rentan dan jumlah daun berkurang sejalan dengan peningkatan intensitas penyakit. Genotipe LG5/BK10)-89-68 memiliki respons agak tahan terhadap infeksi karat dan bercak daun, sedangkan varietas Takar 1 dan Hypoma 3 memiliki respons agak rentan, dan agak tahan terhadap karat daun pada 10 MSI. Oleh karena itu, genotipe LG5/BK10)-89-68, varietas Takar 1 dan Hypoma 3 dapat digunakan menjadi tetua untuk perakitan varietas tahan karat dan bercak daun.

Abstract

One of the villages in East Halmahera which has been known as anchovy production area is Saramaake Village. Commonly, a community in this village has an income from the anchovy fishery. The product of the anchovy fish is high and various in size, while fish marketing increase and good institution did not establish yet. This activity has been done for 7 months from June 2016January 2017, aimed to improve the product marketing, and institution establishment through training and mentoring. According to the activity has been done, marketing of the dried anchovy which was marketed previously in big size (bulky), it can be marketed in small size with better packaging (100, 200, 500, and 1.000 g) and labelling, while the processed fish can be marketed also in packaging (100 g) and labelling. The institution has been established a namely cooperative small business group (KUB) both for fisherman and fish processing person. Through the marketing development and institution establishment, fishermen can manage their fish product better.

Abstract

Saramaake Village is one of the villages in East Halmahera District known as anchovy (Stolephorus spp) catching area. In this area, production of the anchovy is high and various in size. A community empowerment had been done for 7 months, from June 2016–January 2017, aimed to improve the anchovy product quality and product diversification. Methods used in this activity were training and mentoring. Targets of the activity were fishermen (15 fisherman groups or 60 persons; for fish catch product handling), and fisherman’s wife (2 groups or 11 persons; for product diversification). The activities that had been carried out were product quality improvement (fish drying construction, fish storage room rehabilitation), added value improvement (product diversification), packaging and labelling of the product. Based on the observation, the community had gained a knowledge and technology related to the fish handling and processing. Some communities had applied the technology of manufacturing processed products, as well as doing the packaging and labeling of these products.

Abstract

Anchovy (Stolephorus spp) is a main target of lift-net fishery, and it is a main income for the fisherman for long time in Saramaake Village, East Halmahera District. Production in a large number with bulky marketing system and a limited processing activity affect a limited economical value for the community of the village. This community empowerment activities had been done for 6 months, from June–December 2017, aimed to develop the anchovy product and the certification. Methods used in this activity were training and mentoring. Objective targets of the activity were fishermen and fisherman’s wife which are members of Common Business Group and cooperation. Some activities have been done for product development (chili sauce packaged anchovy and labelling) and product certification (certification of halal from the Institute Assessment of Food, Drug and Cosmetics Indonesian Council of Ulama and certification of food of Household Industry from Public Health Service Office in District of East Halmahera). Based on the result of training and mentoring, the object community had gained a knowledge and technology related to the fish processing and certification. Certified marine product have a wider market and marketable in some shops in Ternate and Buli.

Abstract

Congestion is a problem that arises because of the many vehicles on the road. One of the bottlenecks that is often encountered is at a crossroads. From several vehicles, there are emergency vehicles that must be prioritized. Therefore, this research develops a system using Bluetooth technology that gives priority to emergency vehicles to cross the junction. This system works is the first Bluetooth module before the junction with a distance of 500 meters detecting it with autopairing and autoconnect on the Android Bluetooth that has been made. This system uses Arduino Mega as its data processor to make the traffic lights output freeze to the green light, then the traffic light will return to normal when the second Bluetooth module after the junction with a distance of 100 meters detects Android Bluetooth. The results of the study are very helpful when the lane is jammed, but for empty lines this system has a maximum limit at speeds not exceeding 81.43 km/h because the detection distance limit of the Bluetooth connection is only 50 meters

Abstract

PT XYZ adalah perusahaan baja terpadu di Cilegon. Produk baja yang dihasilkan adalah Slab, Plate dan Hot Roll Coil. Berdasarkan observasi yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa munculnya permasalahan-permasalahan yang dapat menghambat produktivitas kerja karyawan tidak jarang terjadi karena kelalaian karyawan sendiri dalam menggunakan jam kerjanya untuk ngobrol, duduk-duduk, atau izin keluar kantor untuk urusan yang tidak ada kaitannya dengan tugas pekerjaannya. Dari permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut secara tidak langsung dapat menurunkan tingkat produktivitas kerja karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hal-hal apa saja yang berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan di PT XYZ. Variabel pendukung untuk pengukuran produktivitas adalah variabel nilai budaya perusahaan terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 150 sampel atau 150 responden pada karyawan tetap di PT XYZ. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa nilai budaya perusahaan berpengaruh positif terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan. Solusi untuk meningkatkan Nilai Budaya Perusahaan adalah selalu mensosialisasikan ke setiap divisi untuk menerapkan Nilai Budaya Perusahaan di area kerja masing-masing sehingga produktivitas kerja di PT XYZ dapat terus meningkat.
