Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan serta sumbangan efektif kesiapan belajar, lama pembelajaran, kesesuain tempat dengan hasil prakerin peserta didik kompetensi keahlian TKJ di SMK Kota Batu. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 48 peserta didik yang diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi nilai hasil prakerin dan angket. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji korelasi ganda dan regresi ganda. Hasil uji hipotesis keempat variabel menghasilkan nilai Sig (p) = 0,000 (kesiapan belajar), 0,013 (lama pembelajaran) dan 0,000 (kesesuain tempat) dan 0,000 (partisipasi DU/DI) sehingga H0 diterima. Jadi, artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel kesiapan prakerin, variabel lama proses prakerin, variabel kesesuain tempat prakerin dan variabel partisipasi DU/DI dengan hasil prakerin peserta didik kompetensi keahlian TKJ di SMK Kota Batu pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil uji regresi ganda diperoleh nilai Sig (p) = 0,000 0,05, sehingga H0 diterima. Jadi, artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kesiapan prakerin, lama proses prakerin, kesesuain tempat prakerin dan partisipasi DU/DI secara bersama-sama dengan hasil prakerin peserta didik kompetensi keahlian TKJ di SMK Kota Batu pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Abstract

Dunia kerja saat ini mengalami tantangan global, yaitu Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN dan revolusi industri 4.0. Lulusan SMK dituntut mampu menghadapi tingginya persaingan global dan perubahan keahlian yang dibutuhkan dunia kerja. Oleh karena itu sangat penting membekali lulusan SMK dengan kesiapan kerja yang tinggi. Penelitian ex post facto ini bertujuan mengetahui kontribusi dari iklim kelas, motivasi berprestasi, dan PKL terhadap kompetensi keahlian serta dampaknya terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa SMK Kompetensi Keahlian TKJ. Jumlah sampel responden penelitian ini sebanyak 198 siswa SMK di Kota Malang, Jawa Timur. Pengumpulan data iklim kelas, motivasi berprestasi, pengalaman PKL dan kesiapan kerja menggunakan angket, sedangkan untuk variabel kompetensi keahlian menggunakan dokumen nilai yang dimiliki sekolah. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis jalur dengan dua sub-struktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat kontribusi yang positif antara iklim kelas terhadap kompetensi keahlian sebesar 8,8%, motivasi berprestasi terhadap kompetensi keahlian sebesar 16,4%, pengalaman PKL terhadap kompetensi keahlian sebesar 6,4%, iklim kelas terhadap kesiapan kerja sebesar 1,3%, motivasi berprestasi terhadap kesiapan kerja sebesar 5%, pengalaman PKL terhadap kesiapan kerja sebesar 2,1%, dan kompetensi keahlian terhadap kesiapan kerja sebesar 18,4%. Kesimpulan penilitian ini menunjukkan bahwa iklim kelas, motivasi berprestasi, pengalaman PKL, dan pencapaian kompetensi keahlian.

Abstract

Abstrak Kesiapan kerja siswa kejuruan di Indonesia menjadi salah satu isu penting yang terus dibahas. Hal tersebut dikarenakan lulusan pendidikan kejuruan tersebut masih menduduki posisi teratas untuk angka pengangguran dibandingkan tingkat pendidikan yang lain. Rendahnya kesiapan kerja di kalangan siswa dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor yang perlu diidentifikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh dukungan keluarga terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa kejuruan yang dimediasi oleh wawasan dunia kerja. Untuk itu 115 siswa dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling dari 4 SMK yang ada di Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengukur skala dukungan keluarga, wawasan dunia kerja dan kesiapan kerja siswa. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan analisis jalur pada tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa dukungan keluarga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui wawasan dunia kerja. Dengan demikian, keterlibatan keluarga harus maksimal dalam memberikan dukungan yang dibutuhkan oleh siswa. Di sisi lain, sekolah harus mampu menyediakan informasi pekerjaan yang tepat untuk membantu siswa dalam memperluas wawasan mereka tentang dunia kerja.Kata kunci: kesiapan kerja; dukungan keluarga; wawasan dunia kerja; SMK. AbstractJob readiness of vocational students in Indonesia is one of the important issues that continues to be discussed. This is because vocational education graduates still occupy the top position for unemployment rates compared to other levels of education. The low job readiness among students is influenced by many factors that need to be identified. This study aims to empirically examine the effect of family support on vocational students' job readiness mediated by the world of work insight. For this reason, 115 students were selected through a cluster random sampling technique from 4 vocational schools in East Java, Indonesia. Collecting data using a questionnaire to measure the scale of family support, insight into the world of work and student work readiness. Hypothesis testing was carried out by path analysis at a significance level of 0.05. The results of the study show that family support has a significant effect on students' work readiness, both directly and indirectly through insight into the world of work. Thus, family involvement should be maximized in providing the support needed by students. Abstract

This research aimed to find the relation between soft skills and industrial practices achievement with students' readiness to enter the working world. The population of this research were the Class XII students of Mechanical Engineering Skill Competency from Canda Bhirawa Vocational High School Kediri Regency. The samples were determined using random sampling based on the Slovin formula. The soft skills and students' work readiness variables data were collected using a questionnaire, whereas the industrial practices achievement variable was obtained from the score documents provided by the school. The data that were collected were analyzed using regression technique. The results showed that there was a strong, positive, and significant correlation between soft skills and students' readiness in entering the working world, there was a medium, positive, and significant correlation between industrial practice achievements with students' readiness to enter the working world. And there was a solid, positive, and significant cooperation correlation between soft skills and industrial practices achievement with students' readiness to enter the working world.

Abstract

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach is an approach that answers the problems in engineering education. This research aimed to explore the students' STEM characteristic in Machine Construction Design, the obstacles that were experienced by the students when implementing STEM, and implementation pattern from STEM subjects. This research used the qualitative approach using a case study. The data was collected through the interview and documentation from the informant that consisted of supervisor lecturer of STEM subject and students who already took Machine construction Design subject. This research found that the students' STEM characteristics in Machine Construction Design subject consisted of: design task background that prioritizes problem-solving to understand the natural phenomenon in the context of machine construction design, CAD as a form of technology utilization to design the machine, machine element course content as a basis in material selection and computation of engine components, also mathematical engineering content to help understand the scope of physical engineering, CAD, and mechanical element. Meanwhile, the obstacles that often occurred were caused by external, internal, and technical of the course.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan sebuah bahan ajar dalam bentuk buku ajar untuk mata pelajaran K3 dan Higiene Sanitasi yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Model pengembangan yang digunakan didasarkan pada tahap-tahap penelitian pengembangan Sukmadinata. Hasil data dianalisis dengan menggunakan program SPSS Ver.17 for Windows. Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan penilaian tentang kelengkapan penyajian terhadap buku ajar hasil pengembangan berada pada kualifikasi Baik. Hasil uji coba produk menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar secara signifikan yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya kenaikan nilai hasil belajar siswa. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar pengembangan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Project-based Learning (PjBL) and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) are multidisciplinary learning. The combination of PjBL-STEM aimed to improve vocational high school students' technical learning results and working characteristics. Thus, students, after graduating, could compete in the working world. This research used secondary data review method, consisted of 17 international journals, 11 national journals, and three literature books. Based on the secondary data review, the combination of PjBL-STEM would be maximized if the teacher directly involved in the learning, where the teacher acts as inspiratory, motivator, and facilitator. Then, the PjBL-STEM learning was started from designing until result presentation that could improve the creativity and problem-solving skills. PjBL-STEM improved the hard skill in the form of technical learning results and soft skill in the form of working characteristics. Therefore, model integration of PjBL and STEM should be well-prepared. The learning strategy in each lesson must be designed well, and the assessment dimensions must be chosen thoroughly so that multidisciplinary learning could be well-realized in vocational high school in Indonesia.

Abstract

Kerusakan gas turbine blade terjadi karena beberapa kondisi yaitu tekanan yang tinggi akibat beroperasi pada temperatur serta kecepatan yang tinggi, kekuatan material (melting point), dan gaya aerodinamis yang melewati sudu turbin. Oleh karena itu diperlukan material dengan standar beban yang mampu digunakan pada temperatur tinggi. Kemampuan material tersebut terdapat pada superalloy. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menguji kekuatan material gas turbine blade superalloy IN738LC menggunakan elemen hingga dengan bantuan software ANSYS versi 18.1. Analisis tersebut bertujuan untuk mengetahui tegangan, deformasi, dan uji retakan. Hasil simulasi dengan gaya 10N, 15N, dan 25N yaitu maximum equivalent stress sebesar 166.47 MPa, 166.46 MPa, dan 166.45 MPa. Nilai maximum principal stress tertinggi sebesar 171.96 MPa, 171.93 MPa, 171,88 MPa. Nilai maximum shear stress sebesar 86.084 MPa, 86.072 MPa, dan 86.049 MPa. Total deformation sebesar 9.7081x10-5 mm, 9.7073x10-5 mm, dan 9.7057x10-5 mm. Nilai maxsimum J-Integral sebesar 6,9361.10-7 mJ/mm2 dan 3157.10-7  mJ/mm2. SIFS (K1) maxsimum sebesar 0.29653 MPa.mm 0.5 dan 19.196 MPa.mm0.5. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil analisis tegangan dan perubahan bentuk menunjukkan bahwa gas turbine blade tidak gagal karena cacat material namun karena adanya korosi. Alasan utama kegagalan dimulai dengan mudah karena lubang-lubang korosi dan kelelahan pada sudu turbin gas.

Abstract

This study determines the effect of the Work-Based Learning (WBL) model on achievement motivation of students in the Study Program of Mechanical Engineering at Vocational High Schools (VHS) compared to the Training Within Industry (TWI) model. This study used a quasi-experimental research method with a factorial design in two groups of XII grade vocational high school students of mechanical engineering. The data in the form of achievement motivation was collected using a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using two way Anova technique with α of 0.05. The results showed that (1) the students taught using the WBL model had a significantly higher achievement motivation than the achievement motivation of students taught using the TWI model; (2) students with high prior knowledge had a significantly higher achievement motivation than the achievement motivation possessed by students with moderate and low prior knowledge; and (3) there is an interaction between the use of learning models and students' prior knowledge towards students' achievement motivation. The findings indicated that the WBL model has the potential to improve the quality of learning outcomes of vocational education, especially in increasing students' achievement motivation, compared to traditional learning using the TWI model.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the contribution of creativity and prakerin performance toward the result of uji kompetensi keahlian at XII class SMK Tulungagung. The design of the study using a quantitative approach. The sampel used are as many as 169 students. Data collection for creativity trick is using questionnaire, variabel prakerin performance anda resutl of  uji Kompetensi keahlian using value documentation. Data anaysis included descriptive and regression. The result showed that: (1) the contributtion of creativity trick towards result of uji kompetensi keahlian by 21%; (2) the contributtion of prakerin performance toward result of uji kompetensi keahlian by 36,5%; (3) the contributtion creativity trick and prakerin performance toward result of uji kompetensi keahlian by 42,3% students TKJ at SMK Tulungagung.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi antara daya kreativitas dan kinerja prakerin terhadap hasil uji kompetensi keahlian siswa kelas XII di SMK se-Tulungagung. Rancangan penelitian menggukanan penelitian kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 169 siswa. Pengumpulan data variabel daya kreativitas menggunakan angket, sedangkan untuk variabel kinerja prakerin dan hasil uji kompetensi keahlian dengan dokumentasi nilai. Analisis data meliputi analisis deskriptif dan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) kontribusi daya kreativitas terhadap hasil uji kompetensi keahlian sebesar 21%; (2) terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan antara kinerja prakerin sebesar 36,5% terhadap hasil uji kompetensi keahlian; dan (3) kontribusi daya kreativitas dan kinerja prakerin sebesar 42,3% terhadap terhadap hasil uji kompetensi keahlian siswa kelas XII paket keahlian TKJ di SMK Se-Tulungagung.
