Abstract

Property investment is a stable long-term investment, low risk, and it has protection against inflation. Property investment included housing, shop houses, and apartments. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of location, neighborhood, structural, financial, and attitude on purchase decision of property in Batam City. This study distributes questionnaires to 250 respondents by using a convenience sampling method. The data analysis uses Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) by examining the outer and inner models. The research results showed that the location, structural, and attitude variables significantly affect purchase decision. Meanwhile, the variable of the neighborhood and financial do not have a significant effect on purchase decision. The R-Square shows that 35.44% of the regression model is explained by the variables in this research, while 64.56% explained by other variables affecting purchase decision.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of internal audit function on rural bank financial and non-financial performance. Data collection uses both primary and secondary data. Internal audit function and non-financial performance use questionnaires and 63 data were collected from 38 rural banks in Riau Islands Province. The financial performance uses return on asset (ROA) and return on equity (ROE) using the financial report published by Financial Services Authority of Indonesia. The respondents of this research are the director of rural banks. The analysis method uses Partial Least Square (PLS) to examine the outer and inner model. The result shows that the internal audit function positively affects both financial and non-financial performance. The rural bank, which has an established internal audit function, enhances the performance.

Abstract

Financial technology offers various types of benefits to its customers. This makes the development of the financial technology industry dependent on how the industry can always provide a good and effective customer experience. Studies that discuss customer experience financial technology are still very few. Therefore, this study aims to test whether there is an effect of customer experience on customer loyalty intentions in using financial technology. This study uses the PLS-SEM method to test several hypotheses. The results show that customer experience is positively influenced by perceived value, customer service, service speed and perceived innovation. Then there is also a significant positive effect of customer experience on loyalty intentions. Meanwhile, ease of use and self-confidence have no significant effect.

Abstract

Salah satu bentuk produk fintech adalah E-Wallet yang merupakan media virtual untuk pembayaran dan penyimpanan uang. Gen Z merupakan salah satu generasi yang paling banyak menggunakan teknologi, termasuk penggunaan E-Wallet dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Keberadaan technostress dalam inovasi teknologi terkadang berdampak negatif terhadap penggunaan fintech. Maka, dilakukan penelitian pada komunitas Gen Z di Batam untuk mengukur faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi niat menggunakan fintech seperti E-Wallet dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode partial least square yang mengolah data kuesioner untuk menguji validitas dan hasil penelitian. Di mana ditemukan bahwa complexity dan invasion memiliki efek negatif pada niat. Sementara itu, overload dan uncertainty memiliki efek sebaliknya.

Abstract

Di tengah pandemi, banyak orang kehilangan pekerjaan, berada dalam posisi untuk diberhentikan, atau tidak dapat melanjutkan aktivitas yang berupa sumber pendapatan mereka. Ditambah lagi faktor dimana masyarakat diwajibkan untuk tetap tinggal di rumah dalam daya memperlambat tingkat penyebaran virus, tentunya mereka akan mencoba mencari sumber pendapatan alternatif. Investasi adalah salah satu alternatif yang dapat dilakukan dari kenyamanan rumah seseorang. Dikarenakan popularitasnya baru-baru ini, terdapat gelombang investor baru yang memasuki pasar saham. Investor baru diketahui rentan terhadap pengambilan keputusan berbasis sentimen. Sentimen investor sulit diukur karena merupakan konsep yang cukup abstrak. Penelitian ini mendekonstruksi proksi indeks sentimen Baker-Wurgler menjadi variabel individual yaitu closed-end fund discount, Number IPO, IPO first-day return, equity issues, dan dividend premium bersama dengan indeks kepercayaan konsumen untuk menentukan signifikansinya terhadap return saham, dimana regresi ini dikontrol oleh variabel spesifik perusahaan seperti ukuran perusahaan, rasio book to market, leverage, ROE dan ROA. Studi ini menemukan jumlah IPO dan diskon dana tertutup memiliki korelasi yang signifikan dengan return saham, serta premi dividen berkorelasi negatif dengan return saham. Sementara masalah ekuitas, return hari pertama IPO dan indeks kepercayaan pelanggan sebagian besar tidak signifikan terhadap return saham.

Abstract

Dalam era teknologi ini, penggunaan sosial media sebagai salah satu alat pemasaran merupakan suatu hal yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh usaha-usaha. UMKM Soto Kwali Mas Tanto dalam 3 tahun lama operasinya belum memiliki akun sosial media seperti Instagram dan Facebook yang merupakan salah satu cara terbanyak orang-orang dalam mencari jasa/produk yang mereka inginkan. UMKM tempat makan ini juga tidak memiliki logo usaha yang menjadi identitas usahanya tersebut. Lokasi usahanya yang strategis berada di depan lobby 2 salah satu mall terbesar di Batam dirugikan karena tempat usahanya yang cukup gelap terlihat dari luar, sehingga tanpa sebuah spanduk logo yang dipasang di depan tempat usaha, pelanggan akan sulit dalam mencari ataupun tertarik untuk mencoba makan di tempat usaha tersebut. Diluar dari memberikan solusi terhadap masalah diatas, penulis juga membuatkan link Linktree yang mencantumkan menu digital serta navigasi terhadap akun-akun sosial media, lokasi dan kontak usaha. Pemilik usaha juga disosialisasikan akan cara membuat konten sosial media yang menarik dan mudah, serta cara membuat kampanye iklan yang efektif melalui jasa periklanan pada Instagram dan Facebook.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi seberapa besar loyalitas dari sebuah merek yang dipengaruhi oleh brand image, perceived quality dan brand awareness. Objek penelitian yang diambil adalah salah satu merek internasional yang cukup terkenal di Indonesia yaitu Starbucks. Penelitian kali ini akan membahas mengenai seberapa besar kesetiaan konsumen terhadap Starbucks yang sudah terdengar tidak asing lagi dan banyak sudah mengenali merek tersebut dimana menjual minuman kopi dengan harga yang lumayan tinggi dibandingkan kopi lain dikarenakan kekuatan dari brand. Banyak sekali peminat dari Starbucks bahkan para wisatawan asing cenderung membeli merek tersebut di negara mana pun dikarenakan Starbucks sudah terkenal mendunia. Brand loyalty adalah salah satu preferensi yang mempengaruhi konsumen untuk membeli suatu produk secara berulang terus menerus. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di Starbucks yang berada di Kota Batam. Metode pengambilan sampel diambil tidak secara acak sebanyak 191 responden. Hasil yang ditemukan bahwa adanya hubungan signifikan antara brand image, perceived quality dan brand awareness terhadap brand loyalty. Sedangkan perceived quality dan brand awareness berhasil dimediasikan oleh customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Humans have 3 kinds of needs that must be met to survive, namely primary, secondary and tertiary. Apart from basic needs, a person sometimes cannot control himself, resulting in a purchase without a long consideration based on a desire which is called consumptive behavior. This behavior is again supported by technological developments, where e-money is present as an electronic payment tool. E-money that presents features that are easy, convenient and safe so that there is an increase in its use in the community. The purpose of this study was to measure the relationship of e-money users to consumptive behavior in Batam society. There are significant positive relationship between the use of e-money and consumptive behavior of the Batam community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is not only focus on how macroeconomic factors can influence stock return, but also to determine how macroeconomic factors can influence stock return if associated with COVID-19. The paper uses secondary data with research methods quantitatively with type of causal comparative. The regression method used is panel data. This study uses companies that listed in the IDX High Dividend 20 as a sample by using purposive sampling method and resulted in total of 28 companies as samples. The result of this study found that exchange rate, interest rate, and dummy variable positively significantly influenced stock return. Additionally, it was also found out that inflation influenced stock return negatively and significantly. While the moderating test resulted in COVID-19 strengthening the influence of exchange rate, GDP, and money supply towards stock return. COVID-19 is also found to be weakening the influence of gold price towards stock return.
