Abstract

This activity aims to provide an understanding of the application of digital media in the manufacture and documentation of official letters carried out at SMPN Padang Pariaman Regency. Based on observations, it is known that the structure and language used in official letters are still not in accordance with the rules of the Indonesian language. In addition, it was also found that the preparation and storage of archives in schools was still inadequate. School archives or documents are arranged in a cabinet, so it takes a long time to find them and is not well maintained due to improper arrangement and storage. Therefore, an activity is needed to correct errors in writing official letters and documenting existing school archives. Based on this explanation, it is necessary to conduct training activities regarding the creation and documentation of digital-based official letters using the Arterial application at SMP Negeri Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe the use of diction and conjunctions in procedural texts written by students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam, Padang Pariaman Regency. This research is qualitative in nature, using a descriptive method. The data for this research consists of qualitative data in the form of diction and conjunctions used by the students in procedural texts. The data source for this research is the procedural texts written by students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam, Padang Pariaman Regency. The researcher is the instrument for this research. The data collection technique used is documentation. The data validation technique used in this research is triangulation. From the 29 research data, a total of 3,002 instances of diction were found, consisting of 2,753 instances of accurate diction usage and 249 instances of inaccurate diction usage. The procedural texts written by students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam, Padang Pariaman Regency tend to be constructed with structured diction, indicating that the students have a good command of appropriate diction. Secondly, the research found a total of 423 instances of conjunctions from the 29 data, consisting of 363 instances of accurate conjunction usage and 60 instances of inaccurate conjunction usage. The procedural texts written by students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam, Padang Pariaman Regency tend to be constructed with structured conjunctions, indicating that the students have a good command of appropriate conjunctions, especially in their writing. Therefore, students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam, Padang Pariaman Regency tend to use standard diction and conjunctions that are not yet accurate in writing procedural texts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana perancangan model E-LKPD berbasis discovery learning, bagaimana mengembangkan E-LKPD berbasis discovery learning, dan menganalisis kelayakan E-LKPD berbasis discovery learning pada materi teks negosiasi untuk dikembangkan SMA Negeri 1 Sarolangun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang mengadopsi pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Developmet, Disseminate) dengan modifikasi, tanpa tahap disseminate (penyebaran). Langkah penelitian dan pengembangan tersebut yaitu Identifikasi dan analisis masalah, perancangan, pengembangan, dan validasi produk. Instrument penelitian berupa lembar wawancara guru, angket analisis kebutuhan siswa, lembar validasi ahli materi, ahli media yang dianalisis menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) telah dirancang E-LKPD berbasis discovery learning dengan pengembangan pada aspek materi teks negosiasi, (2) setelah dilakukan perancangan maka selanjutnya dikembangkan E-LKPD berbasis discovery learning pada materi teks negosiasi melalui palatform liveworksheets, (3) kelayakan pengembangan E-LKPD berbasis discovery learning yang dinilai oleh ahli materi berada pada kategori sangat valid (91,2%) atau dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan dan menurut ahli media E-LKPD yang dikembangkan berada dalam kategori valid (87,5%) atau dinyatakan layak digunakan. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD berbasis discovery learning dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di SMA

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung di dalam novel Dua Garis Biru karya Luncia Priandarin. Metode yang dipergunakan penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif-analisis  pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun datanya ialah kata, kalimat maupun paragraf yang berwujud cerita maupun dialog. Adapun sumber data penelitiannya yaitu novel Dua Garis Biru Karya Luncia Priandarini  dan hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu  terdapat duabelas nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung di dalam novel Dua Garis Biru karya Luncia Priandarini yaitu nilai pendidikan karakter religius, jujur, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/komunikatif, cinta damai,  gemar membaca dan tanggungjawab.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the analysis of the effect of reading speed and reading frequency on reading comprehension skills with reading strategy as a mediating variable for students of Universitas Negeri Padang. This research is a quantitative method with a descriptive type. The sampling technique in this study used the nonprobability sampling method, namely the purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale with five alternative answers. The data analysis technique used SEM-PLS with SmartPLS version 3 software. The results of the study found that reading speed had a direct and significant effect on reading comprehension skills. Reading frequency has a direct and significant effect on reading comprehension skills. Reading strategy have a direct and significant effect on reading comprehension skills. Reading speed has a direct and significant effect on reading strategy. Reading frequency has a direct and significant effect on reading strategy. There is an effect of reading speed on reading comprehension skills mediated by reading strategy. There is an effect of reading speed on reading comprehension skills mediated by reading strategy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk tindak tutur direktif dan strategi bertutur tokoh utama dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui metode dokumentasi dan dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 34 tindak tutur direktif dan 37 strategi bertutur yang digunakan tokoh utama. Tindak tutur direktif meminta dan strategi bertutur terus terang tanpa basa-basi adalah yang paling banyak ditemukan, masing-masing sebanyak 18 dan 22.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks eksplanasi yang ditulis oleh siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 1 Tanjuang Baru, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota, pada tahun pembelajaran 2022/2023. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa/siswi kelas VIII. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi, yaitu dengan mengumpulkan dokumen hasil penugasan yang diberikan oleh guru Bahasa Indonesia kepada siswa untuk menulis teks eksplanasi. Dokumen tersebut kemudian dipinjam oleh peneliti dari guru Bahasa Indonesia. Tahapan selanjutnya adalah membaca dan mengklasifikasikan data, lalu memasukkan data ke dalam tabel analisis teks eksplanasi sesuai dengan struktur dan kebahasaannya. Dari 20 data yang dianalisis, 18 siswa (90%) dapat menulis teks eksplanasi dengan struktur yang tepat. Namun, 2 siswa (10%) tidak dapat menulis dengan benar. Dari 20 teks yang ditulis, hanya 7 siswa (35%) yang menggunakan ketiga kebahasaan teks eksplanasi, yaitu konjungsi kausalitas, kronologis, dan EYD. Sebanyak 13 siswa (65%) tidak menggunakan ketiga kebahasaan tersebut.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the findings of forensic linguistic analysis of language expressions on meme potentially used in cybercrime crimes. The linguistic form of the meme, including words, phrases, and clauses, serves as a data source. Three political-themed memes were chosen as representative examples. Data from Internet communication channels. The data is subsequently evaluated syntax, semantic, pragmatic, and forensic components. The results of forensic language-based analysis showed that the three meme could be involved in online criminal activity. This violation is possible, as evidenced by the offensive actions of expressive and persuasive illusion. The use of linguistic machinism such as “the president is useless”, “sell only”, “stupid”, etc. is one type of insult. Obviously, the comment was addressed to Jokowi and Makruf Amin personally. At their respective site locations, these three meme are still available to the public. These three memes are potentially violated, and it could make the perpetrator violate Articles 27 and 45 of the ITE Act. In addition, Chapter XVI, Sections 310 to 321 of the Code of Criminal Procedures on Disgrace discusses the offence of pollution of good name.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pemerolehan bahasa anak CODA yang ditinjau dari empat bidang kajian bahasa, yakni bidang fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, dan semantik dan faktor yang mempengaruhi. Data dan sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah video yang terdapat pada akun TikTok @deafwomencandoit . Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, studi kepustakaan, dan penelusuran data secara online. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini), yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pemerolehan bahasa pada Joshua sebagai anak CODA melalui media Youtube dan dari lingkungan keluarganya. Proses pemerolehan dari segi fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, dan semantik pada Joshua sudah sangat baik. Dalam kesehariannya dalam berkomunikasi dengan kedua orangtuanya Joshua menggunakan bahasa isyarat. Faktor yang mempengaruhi pemerolehan bahasa Joshua adalah faktor kognitif dan faktor lingkungan keluarga.

Abstract

The background to this research is that technological developments are increasingly rapid in human life in various fields, one of which is education. This type of research uses Research and Development (R&D). The development model used in this research is a 4-D model consisting of four stages, namely: 1) define, 2) design, 3) develop, and 4) disseminate. This research used a questionnaire instrument data collection technique which was distributed to class VIII students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang. Based on the results of the student needs questionnaire analysis, the results showed that 83% of students needed digital learning media. There are 3 aspects in the research questionnaire, namely student needs in the learning process aspect which obtained a percentage of 84%, student needs in the learning media aspect 84%, and student needs in the teaching material content aspect 80%. The average percentage result for all aspects is 83%, so it falls into the "very feasible" category. From the results of the analysis of the student needs questionnaire, it was concluded that researchers needed to develop learning media in the form of interactive e-books based on local wisdom.
