Abstract

The article provides a general description of the Learning Application of Moodle-based e-learning and its feasibility to students of the PGSD FKIP at Serambi Mekkah University in the Introduction to Computer Applications subject. Data collection was done through examining questionnaire and interviewing students. There were various problems faced by students based for example students complaint that the access were a little slow when retrieved simultaneously. However, the content, design and technical feasibility analysis were good and it can be used in the Introduction to Application Computer subject for PGSD students at the Serambi Mekkah University.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the performance of professional teachers (post-certification) after obtaining a certificate of professional educators as well as allowances. The main competencies of professional teachers can be assessed by 6 capabilities, including the ability to implement the lesson, create modules and instructional media, preparation of RPP, personal and social competence, liveliness in academic organization and academic achievement development capability. This study is a model study of the Goal-Free Evaluation Model. The study population is all teachers of SMP who have passed the certification in Aceh Besar District. Sampling is done purposive sampling to teachers of science lessons in Secondary Schools in Aceh Besar District. Headmaster Principals are also involved to assess teachers' performance on the aspects of instructional administration. Data were collected using questionnaire, then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive technique. The results showed from 6 Aspects of assessment, four aspects of them are learning ability, modules and learning media, preparation of RPP, personal and social competence have shown high performance. However two others namely liveliness in professional organizations and the development of academic achievement, still in low performance. Hopefully these results can be input for the Office of Education of Aceh Besar Regency as a basic material for improving the quality of education in terms of improving the performance of Professional Teachers in Aceh Besar Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the percentage of students who experience misconceptions (MIS), know the concept (KCC), do not know the concept (LK), Guess (LG), and not confidence (NC) in learning electricity concepts; in what subconcepts students experience misconceptions and what causes misconceptions. The object of the research was the first-level D-III students of Radiology Engineering in the first semester of the 2016/2017 school year who contracted the Basic Physics course. The study was conducted in November 2016. The method used is descriptive method. In this study the CRI Three-Tier Test decision matrix is used to identify student misconceptions. Identification is done by using a structured choice diagnostic test that is equipped with an index of student confidence in the test answers and also equipped with a column of reasons from the answers given by students. To find out the cause of the misconception conducted interviews. The results of CRI diagnostic data analysis showed that of the 37 students who were the object of research it was found that as many as 26.35% did not know the concept (LK), 20.95% knew the concept (KCC) where the students were in accordance with scientific conceptions, 0.51% students guessed LG), 40.88% of students experienced misconceptions (Mis), and 11.32% of answers to students who were not confident (NC). The highest percentage of misconception was found in the sub-principle of ohm's legal concept (41.08%), kirchhoff's legal sub-concept (41.89%) and sub-basic concepts of electric and parallel circuits (40.54%). The results of the interviews showed that the causes of the misconceptions included the character of abstract electrical concepts, lack of understanding of the concept, difficulty analyzing the sequence, and the unpreparedness of students to accept material delivered by the lecturer.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to develop problem-based learning e-modules that can be used in the teaching and learning process. Research is development research, or RnD (Research and Development), using a 4-D model as a development model (define, design, develop, and dessimate). Students in class X MIPA 2 at SMAN 1 Tangse, a total of 30 participants, were the subjects of this study. These research steps begin with learners receiving a posttest, followed by learners receiving a response questionnaire and posttest questions to determine their level of understanding. After receiving electronics modules, learners are given a response questionnaire and posttest questions to determine their level of understanding. Material and media specialists' validation results fall into the decent and very decent categories, respectively, with percentages of 84.85 and 78.4. The average reaction of learners and teachers is similarly high, indicating that the electronics module is appropriate for use in education. With an average N-Gain value of 0.6, there are 13 people in the high N-Gain category, 15 people in the medium N-Gain category, and 2 people in the low N-Gain category. The N-Gain understanding of learners experiencing an increase in material understanding of momentum and impulses by employing electronics module. Electronics module can be observed in the results.

Abstract

Online thesis guidance is an obstacle faced by students majoring in physics education, FKIP USK. This qualitative descriptive study aims to find out what difficulties affect the student learning process through online learning for Physics Education students. The sample in this study were all Physics Education students who carried out online learning, totaling 54 respondents. Data collection was obtained by using a questionnaire to determine learning difficulties in the online learning process. The data analysis technique used to determine the percentage of learning difficulties is sorting the data according to research indicators including internal factors, namely physical and psychological barriers, external factors, namely barriers to educators (lecturers), facilities, families, and extracurriculars. The results of data analysis showed that learning difficulties with percentages were physical barriers (61.1%), psychological barriers (56.7%), educators (lecturers) (58.7%), facilities (53.6%) ), family (49.7%), and extracurricular (47.4%). So it can be concluded that the main factor that affects the difficulty in the learning process is internal physical barriers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of knowledge and understanding of state senior high school science teachers (SMAN) in constructing higher-order thinking items (HOT), and to compar e the level of knowledge and understanding among state senior high school Physics, Chemistry, and Biology teachers in constructing higher-order thinking items (HOT). The type of this research is descriptive quantitative, data collection technique is done by survey method using developed questionnaire instrument. The population in this research are all science teachers (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) of State Senior High School teachers in Aceh Province, with the sample being 90 science teachers of State Senior High School teachers which are chosen randomly. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The result of the research shows that: (1) the level of knowledge and understanding of science teachers of State Senior High School teachers in constructing higher-order thinking items (HOT) is in the medium category, (2) the level of knowledge and understanding in constructing higher-order thinking (HOT) items, Biology teachers achieved more high and very high category compared to Physics and Chemistry teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi miskonsepsi pada pembelajaran fisika dasar selama masa pandemic covid-19. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif  dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis data menggunakan persentase. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa bidang IPA FKIP Universitas Serambi Mekkah yang berjumlah 17 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes diagnostic yang di lengkapi dengan kolom  Certainty of Response Index  (CRI) dan alasan untuk  membedakan siswa yang tidak tahu konsep (LK), tahu konsep (KCC), menebak (LG), miskonsepsi (MK), dan jawaban tidak konfiden (NC). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang potensi miskonsepsi pada pembelajaran fisika dasar selama masa pandemic covid-19, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa masih rendah, hal ini terbukti dari hasil analisis data potensi miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada per individu rata-rata sebesar 29,04%, potensi miskonsepsi per item soal sebesar 10,7%, sedangkan potensi miskonsepsi pada sub pokok bahasan sebesar 10.41% dari rata-rata persentase tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat miskonsepsi yang terjadi selama pembelajaran daring masa pandemic covid-19 masing dikategorikan rendah. Respons mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan media yaitu positif, hal ini terbukti dari nilai rata-rata keseluruhan respon mahasiswa adalah 3,7 dengan kategori baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of misconception using the Four-Tier Test (FTT) for science teachers. Data collection to obtain the required information was carried out using a diagnostic test instrument which was distributed to 29 teachers who were selected as a sample of the total population of science teachers who teach at SMPN in Banda Aceh. To provide an interpretation by differentiating the level of conception of respondents, they are divided into seven categories based on the combination of answers, namely scientific conceptions (SC), misconceptions (MSC), lack of knowledge guessing (LKG), lack of knowledge deficiency (LKD), false positives (FP), false negatives (FN), cannot be encoded (TKD). The test instrument used in the form of Four-Tier Multiple Choice questions as many as 24 items has been equipped with a choice of the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) confidence level along with the reasons for the answer choices. The results showed that scientific conceptions (SC) 30.46%, misconceptions (MSC) 29.74%, lack of knowledge guessing (LKG) 5.32%, lack of knowledge deficiency (LKD) 8.48%, false positives (FP) 13.07%, false negatives (FN) 12.93%.

Abstract

Program MBKM yang dicanangkan oleh Menteri Nadiem makarim memungkinkan program belajar 3 semester di luar program studi. Berbagai program telah diluncurkan guna mendukung kesiapan berbagai pihak untuk mendukung secara totalitas dan menjadi bagian dari program MBKM. Namun beberapa Kampus dan beberapa mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam engakses laman MBKM, hal ini disebabkan kurang peka nya mahasiswa terhadap berbagai program MBKM, kurang kemampuan IT mahasiswa, dan berbagai masalah lainnya. Lemahnya kemampuan IT mahasiswa menggerakkan kami untuk memberikan pelatihan serta praktik langsung pembuatan akun serta pendaftaran program yang sedang on Going di program MBKM. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah membentuk serta meningkatkan kemampuan soft skill mahasiswa yang terampil dan terampil menggunakan IT guna mendukung program MBKM. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode Direct instruction dengan pendekatan workshop. Workshop diberikan kepada mahasiswa FKIP Universitas Abulyatama yang berjumlah 28 mahasiswa. Hasil pengabdian dengan metode Direct Insruction menghasilkan mahasiswa yang mampu mengaplikasikan IT dan mampu menggunakan akun MBKM dengan maksimal.
