Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui korelasi antara kemampuan metakognitif dan motivasi mahasiswa pada mata kuliah morfologi tumbuhan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran direct instruction. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Mei sampai dengan bulan Juli 2019 pada program studi pendidikan Biologi di Universitas Abulyatama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi, hal ini dikarenakan seluruh populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 12 orang mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah morfologi tumbuhan. Data yang didapatkan akan dianalisis dengan rumus korelasi dan kemudian akan dideskripsikan secara jelas hasil yang didapatkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan r hitung (0,641) > r tabel (0,552), hal ini membuktikan secara statistik bahwa terdapat korelasi positif antara kemampuan metakognitif dan motivasi mahasiswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran direct intruction. Hal ini menginterpretasikan mahasiswa yang sudah memiliki kemampuan metakognitif yang baik dalam memecahkan masalah baik secara akademis maupun secara kehidupan sehari-hari akan berpengaruh terhadap motivasi dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Covid 19 has had a huge impact on the world of education. With the emergence of covid 19, the world of education was forced to turn around significantly, the learning process which is usually done face-to-face must be replaced with online learning. The introduction of online learning suddenly has a very long and large effect on the teaching and learning process. Many teachers are not familiar with the online learning process. This research activity was carried out from April 2021 to October 2021. The objects in this study were teachers who teach in high school and junior high schools in the Aceh Besar area. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive research approach where the data will be taken using a questionnaire, the sample in this study amounted to 50 teachers. The results showed that the average problem experienced by the teacher was in the "High" category in the aspect of the learning process, which was 84.5%. This is in accordance with the results of the interviews conducted. The teacher admits that it is very difficult to carry out the learning process during the Covid 19 pandemic. The most difficult situation is to equalize the perception of students' abilities

Abstract

The outbreak of the corona virus (Covid-19) as a pandemic requires learning to be carried out online (online), including in excellent high school in Banda Aceh which is one of the red zones in Aceh Province. This study aims to analyze the constraints of biology teachers at excellent High School Banda Aceh, in implementing online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted at SMA Unggul Banda Aceh, with a total sample 19 biology teachers. The type of this research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique is done using a questionnaire in the form of google form. The research data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using the percentage formula. The results of the study showed there is a problem level at 72% (moderate category) experienced by the teacher during the implementation of online learning.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is the ability to parse or develop teaching material, make conclusions, build representations, analyze and relate the information obtained. For example, students understand what they are reading, they will make conclusions and use information obtained in the text they are reading. The 2013 curriculum must integrate HOTS ability in the learning process, namely the ability to think in creating ideas, analyzing, and evaluating. This study aims to determine and analyze the ability of HOTS students in SMP IT Nurul Islah Banda Aceh to solve comparison problems. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive using test and questionnaire instruments. Tests and questionnaires prepared based on HOTS indicators aim to analyze students' HOTS abilities. Then the results of tests, questionnaires, and interviews are combined to be analyzed to get conclusions. Based on research that has been done, it can be concluded that the ability of students to solve mathematical problems HOTS type in the comparison material is a good category, 19 students (57.57%) of 33 students. That is, some students have been able to do the thought process of creating, analyzing, and evaluating in solving problems.

Abstract

This study was designed to obtain a multiple choice type test instrument that conforms to the standard consist of reliability. This research was conducted from February to April 2014. The method used was qualitative descriptive with multiple choice test form used as many as 100 test items. Research subjects in this study as many as 43 students. The test is compiled and has been validated by a team of experts then given to the subject of research, then the data obtained analyzed reliability value. The results showed that the number of test items that have been valid as much as 70 test items and has high category reliability (rxx = 0.75). From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the test items developed have met the criteria of a good test, it is based on the category in the stage that has been implemented has been fulfilled all the conditions. The concept of osmosis, diffusion and cell organelle, especially mitochondria and chloroplasts are the most concepts of test items to be discarded.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a multiple choice type test instrument that conforms to the standard standards for cell material in high school biology subjects. This research was conducted from February to April 2014. The method used was a formative research type development method with a multiple choice test of 100 test items. The research subjects used were 43 students. Tests that were compiled and validated by a team of experts were given to the research subjects, then the data obtained were analyzed using the formula for difficulty level, different tests (different power), the effectiveness of the trickster, validity, and reliability. The results showed that the number of valid test items was 70 test items and had a high category of reliability. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the test items developed have met the good test criteria, this is based on the categories in which all the requirements have been fulfilled.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) merupakan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang meliputi proses berpikir kritis, kreatif, logis, reflektif, dan metakognitif. Berdasarkan tujuan kurikulum 2013, soal-soal matematika harus mengintegrasikan HOTS. Soal kategori Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) adalah berbasis permasalahan kontekstual yang menuntut siswa berpikir kreatif dan kritis dalam mengkreasi ide atau gagasan, memecahkan masalah, mengambil keputusan, mengevaluasi, dan menganalisis dengan cara yang bermakna. Adapun indikator untuk mengukur kemampuan HOTS adalah siswa dapat menggunakan keterampilan berpikir analisis, evaluatif, kreatif, kritis, dan berpikir logis untuk memecahkan masalah Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengalisis kesalahan dan penyebab kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika tipe HOTS. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dan wawancara yang disusun berdasarkan indikator HOTS. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa melakukan kesalahan-kesalahan yang beranekaragam dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika tipe HOTS, meliputi kesalahan dalam memahami perintah soal, kesalahan dalam mengaitkan menghubungkan suatu fakta dari satu konsep ke konsep lain, kesalahan dalam menulis, mengkonstruksi, mengkreasi ide, konsep, rumus, atau cara menyelesaikan masalah, dan tidak (kesalahan) menarik kesimpulan. Penyebab kesalahan tersebut diantaranya adalah sebagian siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tingginya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kemampuan mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Morfologi Tumbuhan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Direct instruction. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Mei sampai dengan bulan Juli 2019 pada program studi pendidikan Biologi di Universitas Abulyatama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi, hal ini dikarenakan seluruh populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 12 orang mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Morfologi tumbuhan. Data yang didapatkan akan dianalisis dengan rumus persentase dan kemudian akan dideskripsikan secara jelas hasil yang didapatkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa telah menyusun strategi selama proses pembelajaran Morfologi Tumbuhan dengan penerapan model Direct instruction. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran mahasiswa pada matakuliah morfologi tumbuhan dengan model pembelajaran direct instruction sudah baik.

Abstract

The teaching and learning process which is usually conducted face-to-face has been turned into an online learning process because the whole world is experiencing the covid 19 pandemic. Online learning is not without challenges, there are so many challenges that are faced during the learning process. The purpose of this research is to create learning media using the Kinemaster application to facilitate online learning. The research starts from the preparation of the proposal in June 2020 until March 2021. The length of time to conduct this research is 3 months. The method used in this research is R D (Research and Development). The learning media testing involves 3 experts (media experts, linguists, concept experts/experts in developing teaching materials). The results show that learning media with the Kinemaster application can already be applied, based on the validation test 81,94%. These results refer to the validity of the media carried out by the experts involved in the research. The result validity category is quite valid, which means, it can be used but needs minor revisions. Revisions are made based on the results of the validator’s input and suggestions both directly, responses and suggestion given in writing on the validation sheet.
