Abstract

According to (Holmes, 2012:383) social media is part of a technology that is outrageous, where various pros and cons are easier to occur in it without being limited by time, because there is no reach in creating interactions in it, as is the case with the presence of new media Instagram in recent times. used not only as a marketing tool but also as a non-binding exchange of information and communication, but the freedom to use Instagram social media is currently being misused as a medium to launch cyberbullying actions. The purpose of this study is to find out how cyberbullying behavior on social media is against Nissa Sabyan in comments on @lambe_turah and @nissa_sabyan account posts by using qualitative content analysis methods with data collection techniques in the form of observation and data archiving in the form of categorization of uploads and comments through computer mediated communication techniques. (CMC) and taking the type of cyberbullying behavior through the aspects of cyberbullying owned by Price and Dalgleish (2010). The results of the analysis carried out found that the number of comments that came out on the posting of the account above was a form of cyberbullying behavior that showed a called name, threatened physical harm and a slammed opinion that led to the victim, based on data that the authors found the majority of account owners who carried out this behavior. female cyberbullying. Abstract

The teenagers in Gunungsari village, Bumiaji sub-district already have a smartphone and use the gadget without any guidance and assistance from their parents, most of whom are farmers and farm workers with a low level of education. The dropout rate is quite high as a result of the increasing unemployment rate and immoral issues have surfaced in the life of Gunungsari people since their children got to know the internet. The purpose of this community service program is to apply the results of digital literacy research and mentoring youth in using digital media in a healthy way and how mothers can assist children in using the internet in a healthy manner. The results obtained from the Digital Literacy training in adolescents who are adolescents of Gunungsari village are able to protect their privacy in cyberspace and teenagers can have good digital literacy. Whereas in the Mother group, digital literacy has been achieved even though at the basic stage, it is around the issue of how to protect children from dependence on the internet and the mothers have downloaded applications that can be used to protect children

Abstract

Feminisme menjadi suatu kajian sosial yang tidak pernah berhenti dibicarakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Tidak jarang feminisme dipandang dengan perspektif negatif, terutama jika dilihat melalui perspektif Islam. Kalis Mardiasih melalui Instagramnya hadir sebagai sosok perempuan yang dengan vokal menyuarakan isu feminisme bahkan mengkajinya dengan pandangan Islam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat bagaimana resepsi khalayak terhadap konstruksi feminisme dalam akun Instagram @kalis.mardiasih. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teori analisis resepsi oleh Stuart Hall. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara secara mendalam dengan enam informan yang memiliki perbedaan latar belakang usia, pendidikan, domisili dan gender pada masing-masing individu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konstruksi feminisme yang dibangun Kalis Mardiasih melalui Instagramnya memberikan dampak pada perubahan pola pikir informan dalam memandang persoalan feminisme serta menambah wawasan seputar isu perempuan. Teori Encoding-decoding oleh Stuart Hall menempatkan tiga informan berada pada posisi dominant-hegemonic, dua informan berada pada posisi negotiated dan satu informan pada posisi oppositional code.

Abstract

Komunitas virtual adalah komunitas yang terbentuk karena terjadinya komunikasi secara rutin di dunia maya dibandingkan dengan dunia nyata. Fenomena komunitas virtual dapat terlihat melalui berbagai sosial media, begitu pula dengan komunitas hobi yang salah satunya adalah hobi bermain games. Fenomena games terutama di Indonesia dapat menjadi suatu komunitas tersendiri, salah satunya adalah Genshin Impact Indonesia Official yang menjadi wadah bagi pemain games Genshin Impact melalui media sosial Facebook. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah computer-mediated communication serta social information processing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi virtual serta proses interaksi yang terjadi dalam komunitas ‘Genshin Impact Indonesia Official’. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode netnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi partisipan, observasi, serta in-depth interview. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi virtual yang digunakan di dalam komunitas ini cenderung menggunakan pola komunikasi sirkular. Dalam pola komunikasi sirkular, pesan dari komunikator mendapatkan umpan balik dari komunikan. Proses interaksi ditunjukkan dalam interaksi di dalamnya yang meliputi kerjasama, persaingan, konflik, dan akomodasi.

Abstract

Informasi parenting sebelumnya didapatkan dari pengalaman dan nasehat orang tua, kini informasi tersebut didapat dengan mudah diberbagai platform, salah satunya media sosial Instagram. Menjadi kegiatan yang dekat dengan realitas, membuat parenting mengalami permasalahan disetiap pengaplikasiannya. Good Enough Parents sebagai platform belajar online tentang parenting bagi para orang tua harus menunjukkan pesan edukasi yang dapat memberi jalan keluar bagi permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi orang tua dalam kegiatan parenting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui isi pesan edukasi positive discipline parenting pada media sosial instagram @goodenoughparents.id. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi kualitatif dengan teori media baru dan konsep dasar positive discipline dari Joan E. Durrant. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentuk pesan edukasi dalam konten akun @goodenoughparents.id adalah informatif dengan ditemukannya empat kategori unggahan yang berkaitan dengan konsep positive discipline dari Joan E. Durrant, yaitu kategori tumbuh kembang dengan konsep understanding how children think and feel. Kategori komunikasi dan kerjasama dengan konsep providing warmth and structure. Kategori stimulasi belajar dengan konsep identifying long-term goals. Kategori kesehatan mental dengan konsep problem solving.

Abstract

There are many hoaxes related to COVID-19 as shown in a pre-survey at the Citizens Association (RW) 69 Mitra Griya Asri (MGA Housing) Yogyakarta Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) members, causing members of the WhatsApp group to feel uncomfortable and anxious. The purpose of this study was to evaluate three main aspects in the digital literacy communication model of Tular Nalar curriculum in RW 69 Mitra Griya Asri PKK members. This study used a qualitative evaluation research method with the following steps: 1) determining program objectives, 2) classifying objectives, 3) defining structured questions, 4) collecting data through simulation and interviews, and 5) documentation. Based on the results, RW 69 Mitra Griya Asri PKK members have understood digital literacy in the aspects of Tahu (Know), being Tanggap (responsive), and being Tangguh (resilient) in using digital media. Participants had eight (8) Tular Nalar digital literacy competencies, namely accessing information, managing information, designing messages, processing information, sharing messages, building self-resilience, protecting personal data, and collaboration. This study contributed to the form of Tular Reason curriculum evaluation as a new regulation in the socialization of digital literacy. This study also provides theoretical implications in the form of applying Gilster's Digital Literacy Theory by adding critical thinking specs, namely Tahu, being Tanggap, and being Tangguh in digital literacy.

Abstract

Penelitian membahas mengenai fenomena perilaku cyberbullying melalui media sosial instagram -dengan melihat sisi dari para pelaku. Dewasa ini, pengguna instagram terus meningkat, namun sayangnya hal ini tidak diikuti dengan literasi digital. Sehingga, sering kali instagram disalahgunakan. Penelitian ini tergolong ke dalam penelitian dengan metode kualitatif yang dalam pendekatannya menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Dalam mendapatkan data terkait penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan kerangka fenomenologis, di mana peneliti ingin fokus pada pengalaman sebagai pelaku yang dimiliki oleh remaja perempuan di Surabaya berkaitan dengan fenomena cyberbullying. Dari hasil wawancara dan didukung bukti di akun instagram para informan sebagai pelaku cyberbullying, peneliti melihat bahwa latar belakang perilaku pelaku cyberbullying sangat dekat dengan dorongan balas dendam. Para pelaku cyberbullying sangat memanfaatkan instagram sebagai sarana mereka melancarkan aksinya karena instagram menjadi salah satu aplikasi yang amat populer di berbagai kalangan -terutama para remaja dan instagram mempersilahkan kebebasan dalam bertindak dan bersikap.

Abstract

Masculinity is a gender representation that is often used in advertising to persuade consumers. The purpose of this research is to reveal a new representation of masculinity in Keanu's version of Ms Glow advertisement on Youtube. This research focuses on the new masculinity depicted in Keanu's version of Ms Glow ad on Youtube. The data in this study are words, phrases, images, and colors that are in each scene of Keanu's version of Ms Glow's advertisement on Youtube. This study is included in qualitative research. The approach used in this research is John Fsike's semiotics which involves codes and signs. These signs and codes are a form of social practice. The new masculinity construction that appears is analyzed by paying attention to all aspects that exist in each advertising scene. The analysis carried out in this study was carried out in 3 stages, namely by paying attention to the level of reality, the level of representation, and the level of ideology. The results of this study indicate that the Keanu version of Ms Glow's advertisement on Youtube uses a new masculinity with the masculinity style found in this study, which is shown by showing a man who looks casual, has bright skin, and gestures that are graceful or waving. This shows the nature that leads to a new masculinity. The term new masculinity refers to a modern representation of masculinity. This modern masculine is not seen in the physical appearance that leads to social and culture.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the management of impression of the Pustaka Jalanan Surabaya community. To answer the problem above, this research uses the theory of impression management within Goffman's Dramaturgy Theory. This research uses dramaturgy theory to find out how the front stage of Pustaka Jalanan Surabaya which is formed by its members using impression management to reach their goals. This study uses a constructivist paradigm with a qualitative approach and phenomenological methods, research subjects are members of Pustaka Jalanan Surabaya by using the snowball technique obtained by 3 (three) informants. The data collection techniques used are: literature study, interview depth, observation, and documentation. The result of this research is that informants show their concern about the public's perception of punk and want to show that they are the real punk. The informants paid attention to what the groups were doing outside of the main activities of Pustaka Jalanan Surabaya, namely discussions and drinking alcohol. This affects the informant as a party who adapts to the groups to take part in this activity. There is impression management in the Pustaka Jalanan Surabaya community to achieve their goals. This affects the public perception of Punk in Pustaka Jalanan Surabaya. The impression management that occurs is the formation of the front stage by hiding things that are considered unacceptable by the public on the back stage.
