Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analys the quality of monopoly based on Game Hago. The Hago Game-based monopoly on virus material for class X SMA is very feasible as a learning medium with the percentage of material experts being 84% (very feasible), media experts being 96% (very feasible). Game-based monopoly Hago gets a response from expert practitioners who are teachers of Biology subjects at the Hang Tuah Tarakan High School of 94% (very feasible) and student responses using Hago Game-based Monopoly learning media are 92% (very good). Keywords:  Monopoly based on Hago Game, Quality

Abstract

A teacher must be able to create conducive atmosphere of learning, innovative and creative by sticking to a student-oriented approach. This can be realized through various ways, one of them is learning by applying various suitable learning models and supporting learning media. This study aimed to improve science achievement of the VIII grade students at SMPN 3 Nunukan Selatan by applying the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model assisted by audio-visual media. This was a Classroom Action Research which consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings followed by stages of planning, action,observation and reflection. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets of teacher activities and student activities, assessment sheets (aspects of attitude and skills), test results and student worksheets (aspects of knowledge). The results showed that the NHT assisted by audio-visual media improved science achievement of the VIII grade students at SMPN 3 Nunukan Selatan. Classically, there was an increase in the learner achievement from the first cycle to the second cycle in all three aspects measured. For the aspect of knowledge there was an increase from 50% in the first cycle to 79% in the second cycle. For the aspect of attitude there was an increase from 64% in the first cycle to 96% in the second cycle. For the aspect of skills there was an increase from 61% in the first cycle 86% in the second cycle. Thestudents’ scores reached the completeness indicator (75%). In addition, the observations result of teacher teaching activities in the first cycle was 82 (very good category) and the second cycle was 86(very good category).The observation result of student activities in the first cycle was 70% (good category) and in the second cycle was 93% (very good category).Keywords:  Numbered Head Together, Audio Visual Media, Learning Outcome

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the misconceptions experienced by students of class XII MIA SMA Ngeri 3 Tarakan. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that seeks to describe the conditions as they are of a subject descriptively. In this study, the researcher gave the test in the form of multiple-choice with open reasons accompanied by the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) column to students to provide an overview of the misconceptions experienced by students. Based on the explanation of the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that class XII MIA SMA Negeri 3 Tarakan in the 2019/2020 school year experienced misconceptions with an average percentage of 37.32%. The highest misconception was in item 19 regarding motion based on the connector place with a percentage of 60% and the lowest misconception was in item 10 regarding the nervous system function with a percentage of 22.96%.Keywords:  Misconception, CRI

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analize the implementation of enrichment in science subjects at SMP Negeri 2 Tarakan. This research is a case study research with a qualitative approach. The data collection used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and data triangulation to help analyze and check the data's validity. The objects in this study were theree science teachers in class VII, VIII, and IX and the subjects in this study were the Principal of SMP Negeri 2 Tarakan, the Deputy Principal of Curriculum of SMP Negeri 2 Tarakan, and three students. Based on data analysis conducted, the results of the study showed that there was one teacher who carried out enrichment while the other two teachers did not carry out enrichment. The implementation of enrichment such as independent study, giving project assignments, and providing additional material. The obstacles to the implementation of enrichment were time limits to conduct enrichment, the ability or learning outcomes of students, and differences in student characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the online learning process in high school students in Tarakan City. The type of research is qualitative with the subject of the study being high school students of class X. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique is the Miles and Huberman model, namely with data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of the research obtained that the learning process has run according to a predetermined schedule with the preparation of teachers in preparing learning tools such as Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), Use of Learning Media, and learning evaluation. However, during the implementation, there are several things that hinder the implementation of online learning such as the implementation process that does not run optimally due to an unstable internet network connection, task completion that does not run optimally, and some students do not have gadgets during the learning process
