Abstract

This article aims to reveal and describe the form of motion analysis of Ulu Ambek dance in Nagari Sintuk subdistrict Sintuk Toboh Gadang District Padang Pariaman Judging by aspects of space, time, and energy. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The main instrument in this research is its own researchers and assisted with supporting instruments such as mobile stationery and digital cameras. The data types in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are conducted by means of interviews, observations and documentation. The steps in analyzing data are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusions. The results showed that Tari Ulu Ambek is a tradition art that at present is only shown as a form of the sylladance of the community between Nagari in Pariaman. The motion of Tari Ulu Ambek is 1) The motion of the Harvest, (2) The motion of the past (attacking), (3) Motion of Ambek (repelling), (4) The motion of Tigo, (5) The motion of Anggua, (6) Movements of the Tari Ulu Ambek has motion analysis based on space, time, and energy aspects. Although the movement is not structured neatly, but it can still be seen the aspect of space, time, and energy from Ulu Ambek dance.

Abstract

The research aimed to express, describe and analyze the development of The Development of Tanduak Traditional Dance to Tanduak Creation Dance at Puti Junjung Studio, Sijunjung District, Sijunjung Regency. The type of this research was qualitative research with descriptive analysis method. The object of this research was Tanduak Dance from Latang Village, Lubuak Tarok District, Sijunjung Regency. The types of data in this study were primary and secondary data. The main instrument was the researcher herself. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of literature review, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected were analyzed by interpretation techniques so that the truth could be obtained. The results showed that tanduak traditional dance had developed into tanduak dance that had been created.  This could be seen through the processing of motion, clothing, music, configuration, time and place of performances and aspects of dancers packed in a new form in Sijunjung. Then, a guidance and training were delivered by Puti Junjung Studio. In addition, it could be a place for young people in order to maintain the cultual heritage and the identity of the village.

Abstract

AbstractThis article aims to describe on the development of Dance in Indang Tareh River Nagari Balah Aie North Sub-district VII Koto Padang Pariaman. This study aims to describe the development of Indang Dance in Sungai Tareh Nagari Balah Aie Utara VII Koto Sub District Padang Pariaman District. This research was a qualitative research with descriptive analysis method. The object of this research was the development of Indang Jorong Sungai Tareh Nagari Balah Aie Utara VII Koto Sub District Padang Pariaman District. The instruments of this research were the researcher selves and researcher was assisted by supporting instruments such as notebooks, pens, voice recorders and camera. Techniques of data collection were done by way of literature study, observation, interview and documentation. Techniques of data analysis were done by step of grouping, analyzing, and describing the data. The results showed that Indang dance of Sungai Tareh is a traditional art in Nagari Balah Aie Utara District VII Koto Padang Pariaman District. Indang dance of Sungai Tareh is used as entertainment at traditional ceremonies, entertainment at weddings and other entertainment. The Sungai Tareh Indang dance is served in the form of tigo sandiang at alek nagari and solo performance at the wedding party. In Indang dance of Sungai Tareh uses internal and external music. Numbers of dancers are 13 dancers and 1 person is tukang dikie. Costumes used are guntiang cino costume, kain sarung, and deta. Quantitatively, Sungai Tareh Indang dance has undergone the development and has been performed in the neighbouring area such as Pekanbaru, sawah lunto, bawan pasaman, and experiencing the development of usability from as a broadcaster of Islam and Alek nagari to the wedding party.Key words: Development, Indang River Tareh

Abstract

The research aims to reveal, describe and analyze about Randai's role in the event Ulu Ambek Korong Kampuang Guci Pucuang Anam kenagarian Tandikek Selatan District Patamuan Padang Pariaman Regency. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods of analysis. The object of this research is the art of Randai Ulu Ambek in Kenagarian Tandikek Selatan District Patamuan Padang Pariaman Regency. The types of data in this study are primary data and secondary data. The main instrument is the researcher himself. Data collection techniques are performed by literature, observation, interview and documentation. The data is collected in the analysis with interpretation techniques so that it can be obtained the truth. The results of this study show that the role of Randai Ulu Ambek is very important in Ulu Ambek Event, it can be seen from the same conditions of Randai Ulu Ambek as Ulu Ambek. In randai ulu ambek movement are the basics of Ulu Ambek, as well as the accompaniment music in Randai Ulu Ambek is the same as Ulu Ambek. Randai Ulu Ambek performance venue is also the venue of Ulu Ambek which is called the matches. The dancers in Ulu Ambek are dancers who are already proficient in Randai Ulu Ambek as well as baligh. So the role of Randai Ulu Ambek is very important in ulu ambek performance, if randai ulu ambek performance is not performed then Ulu Ambek event does not take place because Randai Ulu Ambek as the opener asks permission to niniak mamak nagari respectively.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to disclose and describe the existence of the Makan Sirih  Offerings dance Neighborhood Junior High School in Buliang sub district of Batu Aji Batam.This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The object of this research is the Makan Sirih Offerings dance Neighborhood Junior High School in Buliang sub district of Batu Aji Batam. The main instrument in this study the researcher himself, and assisted with the instruments supporting such as stationery, photo camera, handy-cam, cassette cd and pendrive. The type of data in this study is the primary data and secondary data. The techniques used in the collection of this data is the study of librarianship, observation, interview and documentation. Technique of data analysis was done with the steps, carrying out data display data or presentation of data, taking the conclusion/verification.The results showed that the Makan Sirih  Offerings dance indeed existed in the Buliang Sub-district (kecamatan) Junior High School Batu Aji. The existence of the Makan Sirih Offerings dance Neighborhood Junior High School in Buliang sub-district of Aji Stone Batam survive from the early use of Buliang Village sub district Junior High School in Batu Aji so that it is now in the midst of people have started to become a culture for community Subdistricts of Buliang and can be accepted and recognized by the society of the village Buliang on the present. Keywords: Existence, Makan Sirih  Offerings dance

Abstract

This research aims to find out the dance work of Sarai Sarumpun Art workshops in Padang City. This type of research is qualitative research, and the method used is a description of the analysis. The instruments in this study are the researchers themselves and assisted with supporting instruments such as stationery and mobile phones. The data type uses primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out by library studies, observations, interviews, recording and shooting. The steps for analyzing the data are data reduction, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusions. The results showed that the dance work of Sarai Sarumpun Art workshops seen in his three dances is Hoyak Badarai Plate dance, Indang Sarumpun dance, Rampak Nuri Shawl dance. Of these three dances found the wiggle room is dominated by large wiggle room, and the time of movement implementation is dominated by medium time, as well as the use of energy in motion dominated by medium-sized energy. More dance moves are used in curved zig-zag line patterns that produce emotional touches full of feeling (joy). Thus the supporting elements such as the joyous sense of music presented by the variety of sounds and costumes with colorful and varied floor patterns that all reinforce the joyous atmosphere that is presented in the dance of entertainment.

Abstract

Abstract This article was aimed to describe and explain role of Silek Galombang on wedding party in Jorong Pandan Kenagarian Tanjung Sani Kecamatan Tanjung Raya Kabupaten Agam. Type of this study was qualitative with analytical descriptive method. Technique of data collection were done by using library research, observation, interview and documentation. After collecting data,   data were analyzed accurately and selected as needed and it’s relation with the posed problem. Result of this study showed that Silek Galombang was performed on wedding in Jorong Pandan and was a part of event on wedding party in that place. Roles of Silek Galombang were as medium of  welcoming honorary guests, medium of  tribute and medium of self-actualization on wedding party. Silek Galombang consisted of tagak alif motion, langkah suok, langkah kida, langkah suruik, langkah maju, balabek, maambek tagak itiak, simpia suok dan kida, simpia suruik, kudo-kudo langkah ampek, dan gerak sambah.  The dancer number of Silek Galombang were 7-9 dancers, 1 dancer as Tuo silek (teacher). This dance was divided into 2 groups with face to face position. 1 group represented the guest and the other one represented the party organizer. Silek Galombang was performed at street in front of the party organizer house during the day. Keywords: Roles, Silek Galombang, Wedding Party

Abstract

This article aimed to reveal and describe students' motivation towards dance self-development activities in SMP-SDI Silungkang. The type of this research was qualitative research with descriptive methods. The objects in the study were 22 female students and 1 male of class VII and VIII in odd semester 2018/2019 academic year. All of the objects participated self-development. The instruments used in this study were the researchers herself and free interviews. The types of data in this research were primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of library research, observation, interviews, and documentation. The techniques of data analysis were carried out by the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the motivation of students towards the self-development activities of dance in SMP of Islamic Business School (SDI) Silungkang was still quite good and the implementation of self-development in dance was running well. This school was still facing obstacles in developing dance self-development activities, such as infrastructures that were not yet complete. However, there were also several types of rewards given by the teacher to motivate students in the self-development activities. Thus, it was concluded that students 'motivation towards the self-development activities of dance in SMP of Islamic Trading School (SDI) Silungkang is quite good and needed some improvement in terms of students' external motivation, especially in the aspects of facilities and infrastructures

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to reveal and describe the conservation efforts of the Sikatuntuang Dance at Mandugo Ombak Dance Studio in Ibuh Village, West Payakumbuh Subdistrict, Payakumbuh City. The type of this research was qualitative research with descriptive method inorder to understand a deeper phenomenon. The object of this research wasSkatuntuang Dance in Mandugo Ombak Dance Studio in Ibuh Village, West Payakumbuh Subdistrict, Payakumbuh City. The research instrumentswere the researcher herself whowas assisted by tools such as recording devices, stationery, and a list of interview questions. Data collection techniques in this research were done through library study, observation, interviews and documentation. In this study, the data obtained in the field from the results of observations, interviews, recordings and photographs, then described and arranged in the form of scientific research in the form of an undergraduate thesis. The results showed that the effort to preserve the Sikatuntuang Dance was performed by the Mandugo Ombak Dance Studio through modern teaching methods by means of training and dissemination. The modern way wasdoing regular training of Sikatuntuang Dance at the Mandugo Ombakstudio. Dance practice wasdone three times in a week that were every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 16.00 to 18.00 P.M. The taught materials, were; a) information, knowledge, introduction, cultural values inculcating from Sikatuntuang Dance, b) the practice of Sikatuntuang Dance.Furthermore, the dissemination was carried out by the Tari Sikatuntuang appearance in various events, such as Tari Sikatuntuang in the Gonjong Limo event in Bandung in 1996, performing at the guest reception in Payakumbuh in 1997, at Padang Cultural Park in 2010, at the opening ceremony of The Singkarak Tour in Jakarta in 2011. In 2015, the Sikatuntuang Dance became one of the traditional art training objects from Japanese visits to the Mandugo Ombak Dance Studio. Moreover, Sikatuntang dance was also performed at the graduation ceremony at Andalas University in 2015 and at wedding events. Keywords: Preservation, Dance, Sikatuntuang, Mandugo Ombak.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and explain the management system of the art workshop Sarai Sarumpun in order to manage the bun well to be able to set the schedule to appear so much in one day. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The main instrument in this research is its own researchers and assisted with supporting instruments such as notebooks, note taking tools, video cameras, photo cameras, and tape recorders. The data types in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are conducted by way of library studies, observation, interviews, documentation. The steps for analyzing data are data reduction, data presentation and withdrawal of conclusions. The results showed that the management system run by the Art Gallery of Sarai Sarumpun can run well. The management system carried out by the art Snggar Sarai Sarumpun is included in the organization of the line (a form of organization where direct authority is in a vertical and fully from leadership to its subordinates). The advantage of the line organization, all decisions can be resolved directly because in a particular situation the leader becomes one of the main targets in problem solving. Disadvantages of the line organization, if there is an issue or problem can not be resolved quickly because the leader is not in place. Thus the management of the line Oganisasi to solve the problem or problems in the workshop, the head of the workshop became the first person to complete and resolve the issue.
