Abstract

Women voters became one of the strategic voter segments in the political dissemination carried out by the Magelang City KPU because in addition to the population that exceeded male voters, it was also due to obstacles for women in terms of education, economy and social causes which made women more in the domestic area and limited access to information including electoral issues. In the implementation of simultaneous regional elections in 2015, the KPU set a target of national voter participation rate of 77.5%. As an effort to reach the target, Magelang City KPU implemented a strategy in carrying out political socialization to women voters. Qualitative methods are used in this study, and data collection techniques are used through interviews and documentation. Determination of informants is done with the purpose of using the snowball strategy. The results and discussion revealed that the Magelang City Election Commission applied an offensive and defensive strategy simultaneously but with different target groups of women voters.

Abstract

Election of Beloto village head East Flores District 2015 is a paradox in modern-pragmatic political logic, where Solhan Masang, who was the personification of the Muslim minority group, was chosen as the head of Beloto village in the middle of the majority of Catholic communities. The Beloto community practices village head elections in accordance with the principles and spirit of democracy. The decision to choose Solhan Masang as the Village Head, the Beloto community does not take into account the brand of religion, ethnicity, group or group what the candidate is as a uniform political calculation with the majority of the people as long as the political drama of the election is presented. This reason is why this research needs to be conducted to explore this healthier political phenomenon more deeply in Beloto Village. There are two theories that I use in analyzing this phenomenon, namely, first, the theory of minority influence, this theory approach emphasizes 3 (three) components that minority figures must have, namely attitudes of consistency, confidence (self-confidence) and persuasive. Second, contact theory, this theory emphasizes more interaction between individuals and minority groups and the majority are bound by a condition that must be fulfilled

Abstract

The establishment of reserve component becomes an important part in the military system of a state. However, the reserve component in Indonesia is still not clear yet to be established, although, as an organization that has biggest personnel than the others. The Army has an interest to prepare the reserve component for support the regular components of the countrys defense. This paper will discuss how the Army reserves component organization established ? How do the composition and the number and distribution of the Army reserve component personnel ? This paper also will examine the possibility of cooperation between the Army and the Local Government in the process of recruitment, maintenance, and deploy of the Army reserves component.Keywords : the Army, the Ministry of Defense, the Reserves Component, the Local Government personnel

Abstract

Masalah yang terjadi di perbatasan negara adalah bukan hanya tentang missmanajemendan bagaimana harus melindungi tanah tersebut dari berbagai musuh,tetapi juga yang lebih fundamental adalah tentang delimitasi dan demarkasi yangada dalam proses negosiasi. Indonesia memiliki masalah perbatasan yang belumterselesaikan dengan 10 negara diantaranya Singapura, Malaysia, Philipina,Australia, Papua Nugini, Vietnam, India, Thailand, Timor Leste dan Republik Palau.Selain itu, banyak ketegangan yang terjadi terkait persoalan perbatasan dengansejumlah negara seperti kejadian di blok Ambalat antara Indonesia dan Malaysia,dan juga mengenai perbatasan antara Indonesia dan Timor Leste. Artikel ini akanmenjelaskan bagaimana pengelolaan keamanan perbatasan di Indonesia. Abstract

Fenomena selebriti untuk turut naik ke panggung perpolitikan semakin semarak. Terlihat dari sebagian besar partai yang meminang para selebriti untuk masuk menjadi kandidat sebagai wakil rakyat. Fenomena ini tidak terlepas dari adanya perubahan sistem pemerintahan dan politik sejak zaman kemerdekaan hingga saat ini. Perubahan sistem inilah yang otomatis turut mempengaruhi sistem kepartaian. Euforia demokrasi masa reformasi menjadikan pemilih dapat memilih langsung wakil rakyat. Dahulu dimana selebriti hanya merupakan “boneka pajangan etalase politik”, saat ini dapat lebih berperan sebagai aktor politik. Tidak dapat dipungkiri, popularitas selebriti merupakan modal politik yang dimanfaatkan partai politik untuk mendulang perolehan suara

Abstract

Setelah Polisi lepas dari militer, banyak masalah yang menghambat responsivitas polisi didalam mewujudkan polisi yang profesional dan demokratis, yang datangnya tidak hanya dari luar, namun  juga dari persiapan di dalam. Terdapat dugaan yang muncul bahwa reformasi di internal polisi akan dinilai sukses ketika tuntutan memisahkan diri dari militer terealisasi. Namun, tantangan sebenarnya yang dihadapi kepolisian di era transisi demokrasi justru lebih kompleks. Artikel ini menjelaskan apa saja masalah yang dihadapi kepolisian di era transisi demokrasi dan bagaimana konteksnya di Indonesia. Artikel ini juga memberikan pendapat dari masyarakat bagaimana mengelola integrasi dari kepolisian nasional sebagai sebuah institusi agar mendapatkan respon positif dari masyarakat, dan secara individu, para anggota polisi dapat secara aktif ikutserta dan bertanggung-jawab dalam mengelola pendapat yang baik dari masyarakat

Abstract

This study aims to examine the attitude of beginner's political participation in simultaneous general elections in Bekasi City in 2019. The research method used in this study is quantitative. Data collection techniques using survey methods by distributing 100 questionnaires to two schools in the city of Bekasi and They are over 17 years. The technique used is purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The mean, mode, median, standard deviation, and minimum and maximum values of each response in each question are searched and analyzed with the software. The results of this study indicate that the political participation of novice voters in Bekasi City is not yet high. This can be seen from the forms of political participation used, they only focus on the general election of a president and vice president, but do not participate in political organizations, political parties, or protest actions against the government. In addition, the things that influence a person to be able to participate in elections are the profile of each candidate, the candidate's debates and the policies that will be taken when they are elected as future leaders. Furthermore, the most popular media by novice voters is social media.
