Abstract

This study aims to knowing influence using cocentration of coconut water in physiology of NaCl dilution toquality of spermatozoa of Puntius javanicus. This research was counducted at Meunasah Krueng Village, Beutong Subdistrict, Nagan Raya District from 18th – 20th May 2015. Thecompletely randomized design with 5 treatmentand 3 replication was used for this study. Sample was saved in refrigerator (3 days) with temperature 4oC and it is oberved sample quality and data was collected in daily. Result of the research show water coconut concentration (7%) or in treatment 4th (P4) giving result for best quality of spermatozoa, where motility index average of spermatozoa is up to 80,55%, viability value of spermatozoa is up to 65,88%. In addtion, coconut water in in physiology of NaCl dilution have been affecting to spermatozoa quality of Puntius javanicus.

Abstract

Abstract

Development of appropriate consept is needed as effort to maintain the carrying capasity of the environment in the Rigaih region.Squid attractor is one of  tools to incresing carrying capasity of fish resources and it can preserving in order to develop the coastal areas in an integrated and sustainable. This study aims to a) preservation of ecosystem with breading squid b)one of tools for integrated and sustainable fishing at Rigaih.Methods of the study as follow: a ) squid attractor is simple designed, i.e. like flower with diameter is 100 cm and high is30 cm. Material of attractors is plastic wire with strands of rope and at the top is covered by black plastic. Untaian tali-tali tambang yang dipasang pada bagian dalam atraktor ini berfungsi sebagai tempat cumi-cumi menempelkan telurnya.Lokasi pemilihan pemasangan atraktor ini ditentukan bersama Panglima Laot Rigaih dan nelayan setempat dengan pemasangan di dalam perairan dilakukan secara sistem rangkaian yang panjang, dimana satu lokasi dapat terdiri dari sepuluh atraktor dengan jarak antar atraktor 15 m; b) Installation distance between attarctors is 15 m; c) observation squid egg. Result of the study have been show that squid attractor very suitable for preserving squid andit is able to increasing income of fisherman at Rigaihin the future.

Abstract

Capture fisheries are very important economic activity and have contributed greatly to the total fishery production in general in the District Naganraya. Fishery system that occurs dominated by small-scale fisheries. Fishermen in Naganraya district has a high dependence on fisheries resources as the main source of livelihood and almost all coastal areas based fisheries activities. Small-scale fisheries businesses have an impact on the fishing fleet and fishing locations (fishing ground) resulting in range of fishing operations is limited. The purpose of this research is 1). Analyzing small-scale capture fisheries system in locations PKN Naganraya district, 2). Formulate an alternative strategy in the management of small-scale fishing locations PKN Naganraya district. Data to be collected in this study consisted of primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected intensively using semi-structured interviews (semi-structured interview) to small-scale fishermen, observation and documentation in selected locations. The results showed that the dominant type of fishing gear is trawl catches beach and species that dominate the catch is Sardinella lemuru and Selar spp. Fish marketing patterns in locations peningkapan fishing activities (PKN) is not through the auction only through traders / large and are twelve strategic through internal and external environmental factors were dominant influence on the pattern of the conceptualization of small-scale fishery management in PKN location Nagan Raya.

Abstract

Utilization of fishery resources of squid through fishing activities is time to be accompanied by regulation of arrest and cultivation activities covering the effort of hatchery (hatchery) and release to nature. This effort can improve the damage of squid resources as it can be done to enrich the stock to improve and sustain the resources of the squid. One of the most important factors to support the cultivation of squid is egg supply and spawning success. The Rigaih area of Aceh Jaya Regency is one of the most diverse squid stock areas and is captured by local traditional fishermen every day. But until now there has been no cultivation and other activities related to maintaining the sustainability of squid. The purpose of this service is the difference of the type and depth of the waters where the installation of the attor to the attachment of squid eggs using black iron coated iron wire and the ijok rope tie in the waters of Rigaih Aceh Jaya Regency. The results obtained are the number of capsules produced in one spawning range 57 to 601 with the number of eggs contained in it as much as 124 to 1421 grains.

Abstract

Mangrove is a pioneer plant that grows and develops on the coast and becomes the main wave barrier in coastal areas (Woodroffe et al.2016). Based on WIIP and WWF data through the Green Coast program, since 2005 the rehabilitation process of mangrove populations has been conducted in Aceh Jaya Regency. Based on mangrove rehabilitation through gerhan projectdata, an area of 2550 hectares of mangrove area in the west coast area has been rehabilitated since 2005. Socialization and Education of bambu pot application method contributes greatly to the people of Aceh, especially those on the coast of Keude Panga Aceh Jaya. The potential results of socialization/education activities are as follows:1. Mangrove conservation education and mangrove socialization by bambu pot method to partners and local communities change the mindset about mangroves that have many benefits for life .2. With the knowledge that has been given, it is expected that the community can better maintain and preserve mangroves from damage 3. The younger generation and the community can continue their activities with the Organization of coastal conservation teams that have been formed by the Team, it is expected that there is sustainability from the community.The stages that are improved are strengthening the institutions that have been formed through study clubs and partner mentoring.

Abstract

Traditional fish aggregating devices (FADs) as fishing aids for surface gill net to catch pelagic fish were used by fishery community partner at Kuala Pesisir Sub District Nagan Raya District, so that operational/maintenance is high cost and those incomes of gill net’s fishermen obtains small.  Therefore, palm fiber FADs technology is expected to alternatively increase income of surface gill net fishermen. Education, training, and accompaniment is approached to accomplish fishermen problems. Community partnership programe (PKM) was conducted in March until November 2018. Community partnership programe has increased knowledge and skill for fishery community. In addition, the quality of palm fiber FADs technology is better than the traditional FADs and production of fish catching.

Abstract

Provinsi Aceh merupakan salah satu daerah yang memberikan kontribusi produksi hiu di Indonesia. Saat ini perikanan hiu di Indonesia termasuk di Provinsi Aceh sedang menghadapi tantangan yang cukup besar, dimana populasi sumber daya hiu terus mengalami penurunan sementara permintaan akan produk hiu baik dari dalam negeri maupun luar negeri terus meningkat. Kondisi tersebut pastinya memerlukan upaya pengelolaan perikanan hiu secara terpadu agar pemanfaatan hiu di perairan Provinsi Aceh tetap lestari dan keberkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah hasil tangkapan hiu yang didaratkan di PPI (Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan) Ujong Baroh dan juga membuat peta zonasi daerah penangkapan hiu yang dilindungi di perairan Barat Daya Provinsi Aceh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui 2 tahap, yaitu tahap pertama melakukan survey lapangan dengan mengikuti kapal nelayan penangkap hiu ke laut, dan tahap kedua dengan cara pengambilan data hasil tangkapan hiu di PPI Ujong Baroh kemudian membuat peta zonasi daerah penangkapan hiu dilindungi yang di daratkan di PPI Baroh Aceh Barat. Jumlah hasil tangkapan hiu yang didaratkan di PPI Ujong Baroh selama penelitian dari bulan Agustus-Oktober 2022 sebanyak 618 ekor. Hasil tangkapan hiu paling banyak didaratkan pada bulan September sebanyak 319 ekor dan paling sedikit tercatat pada bulan Oktober sebanyak 96 ekor. Persentase jenis hasil tangkapan hiu tertangkap pada bulan Agustus-Oktober 2022 yaitu Sphyrna lewini sebesar 56%, Carcharhinus sorrah 24%, Loxodon macrorhinus 9%, Chiloscyllium punctatum 5%, Carcharhinus falciformis 4%, dan Alopias superciliosus 2%. Hasil analisis zonasi daerah penangkapan hiu yang tergolong kedalam kategori Terancam/Endangered (EN) dan Rawan/Vulnerable (VU) tersebar dalam 3 lokasi di perairan Barat Daya Provinsi Aceh.Aceh Province is one of the regions that contributes to shark production in Indonesia. Currently, shark fisheries in Indonesia, including in Aceh Province, are facing considerable challenges, where the population of shark resources continues to decline while the demand for shark products both from within the country and abroad continues to increase. This condition certainly requires integrated shark fisheries management efforts so that the use of sharks in the waters of Aceh Province remains sustainable and sustainable. This study aims to determine the number of shark catches landed at PPI (Fish Landing Base) Ujong Baroh and also make a zoning map of protected shark fishing areas in the southwestern waters of Aceh Province. The method used in this study was carried out through 2 stages, namely the first stage of conducting a field survey by following a shark-catching fishing boat into the sea, and the second stage by taking shark catch data at PPI Ujong Baroh then making a zoning map of protected shark fishing areas landed in PPI Baroh West Aceh. The number of shark catches landed at PPI Ujong Baroh during the study from August-October 2022 was 618. The most shark catches were landed in September at 319 and the fewest recorded in October at 96. The percentage of shark catches caught in August-October 2022 is Sphyrna lewini at 56%, Carcharhinus sorrah at 24%, Loxodon macrorhinus at 9%, Chiloscyllium punctatum at 5%, Carcharhinus falciformis at 4%, and Alopias superciliosus at 2%. The results of the zoning analysis of shark fishing areas classified as Threatened/Endangered (EN) and Vulnerable/Vulnerable (VU) categories are spread in 3 locations in the waters of Southwest Aceh Province.

Abstract

Pulau Banyak and Pulau Banyak Barat Districts. play an active role in advancing capture fisheries production, this can be seen from the larger number and size of vessels operated so as to produce larger capture fisheries production. To land and sell their catch, many private entrepreneurs do it in their private holdings, not in government-owned fishing ports. This Tangkahan generally has relatively little land and facilities, but the activities and production are relatively large. This study aims to analyze the catch landed on the Tangkahans of Banyak Island, Aceh Singkil and make a map of the location of the Tangkahans in Pulau Banyak, Aceh Singkil. The method used is in 2 stages, the first stage is conducting a field survey using interview questionnaires, and the second stage is collecting field data (coordinate points of Tangkahan, types of catches and aerial photos of Tangkahan Island many). The location of the research is on Banyak Island, Aceh Singkil. The results of the study showed that there were 12 Tangkahans in Pulawa many, of which 8 units were in Baguk Village and 4 units were in Balai Desai. The catches that landed consisted of Squid, Dencis Fish, Tuna, Coral Anchovy and others. This is because the fishing gear used by Pulau Banyak fishermen is dominated by Bagan.

Abstract

Pulau Banyak merupakan salah satu pulau yang terletak di Kabupaten Aceh Singkil, dikenal dengan keindahan pantai dan lautnya yang mempesona serta memiliki potensi sumber daya yang melimpah, khususnya di sektor perikanan. Potensi ini tentu dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan atau ekonomi masyarakatnya dimasa kini dan dimasa-masa yang akan datang. Metode pengabdian dilakukan melalui pelatihan model transfer ilmu dan teknologi pengolahan hasil perikanan dengan menggunakan bahan baku lokal yaitu ikan selar dan ikan tongkol. Hasil wawancara dengan peserta pada kegiatan pelatihan diketahui bahwa peserta sangat puas dengan produk yang mereka hasilkan, hal ini diperlihatkan pada saat stik dan abon diolah. Peserta sangat antuasias memerhatikan tahapan dalam pengolahan stik dan abon ikan yang sedang dipraktekan. Peserta juga menyatakan bahwa rasa terhadap produk yang telah dibuat enak dan sesuai dengan selera yang mereka inginkan. Peserta juga mengaku bahwa mereka sudah mampu membuat stik dan abon ikan sesuai dengan materi yang telah mereka dapatkan. Kegiatan yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta pelatihan mempunyai antusiasme dalam mengikuti pelatihan dan merasa puas dengan produk yang dilatihkan. Keterampilan peserta dalam membuat produk olahan ikan bertambah, akan tetapi masih diperlukan pendampingan lebih lanjut agar keterampilan yang sudah dimiliki dapat dijadikan produk tambahan untuk yang sudah menjalani usaha.
