Abstract

Minapadi is a fish rearing system in rice fields that is carried out with rice plants. This study aims to increase the income of farmers with high productivity of rice yields and increase the production of giant prawns. The method used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experiment with 3 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were: P1 = stocking density of 100 birds/plot, P2 = stocking density of 200 birds/plot, P3 = stocking density of 300 birds/plot. This research was conducted for 90 days. Parameters observed were rice productivity and growth. The results showed that the best treatment was P2 = stocking density of 200 birds/plot. by producing an average value of rice productivity of 5 kg/50 m2 and an average value of growth of giant prawns of 4.72%.

Abstract

Minapadi is a fish rearing system in rice fields that is carried out with rice plants. This study aims to increase the income of farmers with high productivity of rice yields and increase the production of endemic fish. The method used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experiment with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were: A1B1 (legowo 2:1 and giant prawns), A1B2 (legowo 2:1 and fish exclamation), A2B1 (legowo 4:1 and giant prawns), and A2B2 (legowo 4:1 and fish exclamation). This research was conducted for 90 days in the rice fields of Lango Village, Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh Regency. Parameters observed were rice productivity, fish growth and business analysis. The results showed that the best treatment was A1B1 (legowo 4: 1 and giant prawns) by producing an average value of rice productivity of 5 kg/plot, and the average value of growth of giant prawns of 3.62 g/head and fish of fish of 37.17 g/head. From the results of this study, the application of the Minapadi system with giant prawns and fish with legowo 4:1 gave a positive impact on the observed parameters (P<0.05) and provided benefits for farmers.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) menentukan jenis ikan unggulan; 2) menghitung potensi ikan unggulan dan 3) menyusun model pengelolaan sumberdaya Ikan Berbasis Karakteristik Potensi Perairan Aceh Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk menentukan jenis komoditi ikan unggulan dilakukan dengan metode skoring dan  kajian stok sumberdaya ikan dengan menggunakan model produksi surplus adalah untuk menentukan tingkat upaya optimum, serta pengelolaan sumberdaya ikan berbasis potensi perairan Kabupaten Aceh Barat menggunakan metode Interpretative structural modeling (ISM). Berdasarkan hasil analisis CPUE (cact per unit effort) ikan di Kabupaten Aceh Barat menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara Effort dan CPUE diperlihatkan pada persamaan linier Y = 20,65-0,243x. Intercept persamaan adalah 20,65 sedangkan slope -0,243. Ini berarti bahwa jika X=0 atau dengan kata lain tidak ada penambahan upaya maka CPUE akan bertahan pada angka 20,65 ton/effort standar. Kemiringan persamaan regresi adalah sebesar -0,243 artinya jika effort terus ditambah tanpa memperhatikan MSY maka akan terjadi penurunan CPUE sebesar 0,243 ton/ effort standar ikan. Oleh sebab itu semua pihak yang terkait dengan pengelolaan perikanan berbasis karakteristik wilayah perlu memperhatikan sumberdaya ikan dengan efisien sehingga akan tetap terjaga keberlanjutan sumberdaya.The aims of this research are 1) to determine the fish featured; 2) to calculate the fish featured and 3) to develop the fisheries resources management model based on the potential characteristic of West Aceh waters. The method used in this study for determining the commodity of fish featured carried out with the scoring method and the fish stock assessment by using a surplus production model for determining the optimum level of effort, as well as the fish resources management based on potential of West Aceh waters using Interpretative structural modeling (ISM). Based on the CPUE analysis (Catch Per Unit Effort) in West Aceh shows that the relationship between Effort and CPUE shown in the linear equation Y = 20,65-0,243x. Intercept equation is 20.65 while the slope -0.243. This means that if X = 0, or in other words no additional effort will then CPUE stands at 20.65 ton/standard effort. The slope of the regression equation is -0.243 means that if the effort continues without regard to MSY then there will be a decline in CPUE on 0,243 ton/effort fish standard. Therefore, all stakeholders that related to the fisheries management based on the characteristics of a region needs to pay attention to the fish resources efficiently so that the resources will remain sustainable.

Abstract

Mangrove crab (Scylla serrata) is one of the fishery commodities that have higheconomic value. In addition, mangrove crab is one of export commodities to several countries such as United States, Europe, Australia, Japan, Hongkong,Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea. In general, the fishing activities of mangrove crabs in the general waters of many fishermen use different baits,it's just not known which bait is best for catching mangrove crabs. The purpose ofthis study is to determine the effect of using different types of bait to the mangrove crab catch by using bubu and know the type of bait that is most effective against the catching of mangrove crab. This research method used Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with three treatments and three replications: P1 = shredded fish, P2 = Shark skin bark, and P3 = Chicken head bait. The parameters in this study are the number of catches, the feed response and the water quality parameters, the results of this study indicate the number of catches P1 = 55.55%, P2 = 22.22% and P3 = 33.33%. While feed response time in this research P1 = 1.61, P2 = 12.03, and P3 = 11.74. From the results of this study showed the use of different baits have a very significant effect on the number of mangrove crabs (scilla serata). While the feedback response also shows the results are very real (Fcal> Ftab).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of administration of activated charcoal, zeolite, and manganese greensand on survival Oreochromis niloticus. The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 repetitions. The treatments are P1 = without administration (control), P2 = administration of activated charcoal 10 gr/l P3 = administration of Zeolite 10 gr/l and P4 = administration of manganese 10 gr/l. The parameter observed in this study was survival Oreochromis niloticus. The results showed that administration of activated charcoal, zeolites, and manganese greensand significantly affected the survival of Oreochromis niloticus. The best value is obtained at treatment P1; P2; and P3, each with the best average survival value of 96%; 91%; and 91%. The lowest cost incurred is the treatment P1 Rp. 66.200, - with SR 96% transportation.

Abstract

Bromelain enzyme is an enzyme contained in pineapple. The enzyme bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme that it has the properties hydrolyze proteins into their constituent elements. The purpose of this study is a way to improve the utilization of protein by adding the enzyme bromelain into artificial feed to increase fish growth tawes. This study have using an experimental method and these was conducted from March 2016 to May 2016 at the Hatchery of Teuku Umar Teuku Umar, West Aceh district using completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment of dose of the enzyme bromelain is differences, namely P0 with doses of 0%, P1 with a dose of 2%, with a dose of 4% P2 and P3 with a dose of 6%. Test fish are given feed ad libitum or until full. The results showed that the enzyme bromelain with different doses have not significantly affect the efficiency of feed utilization and survival. While enzyme bromelain with different doses have significantly affect to protein efficiency ratio, growth rate and the growth rate of biomass show. Value range of protein efficiency ratio is ±1,86-2.26%, value range of the growth rate is ± 2.16 - 2.64% and the rate of growth of the biomass is ± 0.019 to 0.117 grams. The quality of water, i.e. temperature is 26o-30oC and pH value is 7.7-8.4.

Abstract

This study aims to knowing influence using cocentration of coconut water in physiology of NaCl dilution toquality of spermatozoa of Puntius javanicus. This research was counducted at Meunasah Krueng Village, Beutong Subdistrict, Nagan Raya District from 18th – 20th May 2015. Thecompletely randomized design with 5 treatmentand 3 replication was used for this study. Sample was saved in refrigerator (3 days) with temperature 4oC and it is oberved sample quality and data was collected in daily. Result of the research show water coconut concentration (7%) or in treatment 4th (P4) giving result for best quality of spermatozoa, where motility index average of spermatozoa is up to 80,55%, viability value of spermatozoa is up to 65,88%. In addtion, coconut water in in physiology of NaCl dilution have been affecting to spermatozoa quality of Puntius javanicus.

Abstract

Shrimp pole vault (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) also known as the Giant Freshwater Shrimp is one type of crustacea, from the family Palamonidae with Macrobrachium rosenbergii species that has the largest size compared to other freshwater shrimp. Shrimp pole vault live in the two habitats,on the larval stadia live in brackish water and return to fresh water in the stadia of juvenile to adult. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of the depth of the catch shrimp by trap fishing gears and the depth effective for catching shrimp in the river by using gear bubu. This research has held from November to December 2015. The method used is statistic covering catches efficient and depth of efficient, as well as tabulatedinto table ANOVA and BNT test displayed in the form of histograms. results showed that, the level of depth of 1 m on station P1 does not get results efficiently for catching shrimp pole vault, depth 2 m on station P2 is equal to the depth of 1 meter does not get results efficiently for catching shrimp pole vault, while the most efficient depth is the depth of 3 m with the 3,520 and the rate of arrests  are efficient at station P3 with catches 9.87%/3.190 grams. Further test results BNT concluded that 5% get the results 194.7181 whereas BNT 1% get the results 322.8951. different depth Levels give an impact on shrimp catches pole vault and the depth level that is effective for catching shrimp pole vault there is at a depth of  3 m.

Abstract

Gracilaria gigas is one of seaweed species the from red algae type (Rhodophyceae) producsy agarofit, G. gigas have the high fiber and good for health. The research aims to analyze the performance of production, yield and quality of G. gigas seaweed cultivated in the sea and in the ponds. The cultivation of G. gigas in ponds was held in Sekotong, west Lombok by broadcast method in 1500 m2planting area. While cultivation in the sea was held in  Gerupuk Bay, Central Lombok by Long-line method the 1250 m2. Parameters measured include the performance of seaweed , and water quality . While water quality parameters measured are temperature , salinity , pH , NO3 - N , NO2 - N , NH3 - N , PO4 - P and brightness were taken on days 0 , 10 , 20 and 30. Based on the research results obtained performance parameters seaweed cultivation consisting of productivity of cultivation, the total number thalus ( JT ) , the number of thalus secondary ( JTS ) , the number of thalus tertiary ( AAC) and the index of branching ( IP ) from seaweed cultivated on two habitats different , namely marine and pond. The average productivity of Gracilaria . gigas were in cultivation in the sea that is 12.72 % , whereas in ponds with an average of 4.00% . Total thalus on Gracilaria gigas cultured in ponds is high ( 86.56 ) than in the sea ( 80.40 ). Branching index is closely related to the availability of nutrients and nutrient in the formation of new cells , in which the N content in ponds is higher than in the sea .
