Abstract

Penelitian akumulasi logam cadmium bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui organ yang mendominasi akumulasi logam cadmium pada tiga spesies ikan dan (2) mengetahui tingkat toleransi  logam cadmium pada tiga spesies ikan di perairan Krueng Keureutoe Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Penelitian dilakukan di perairan Krueng Keuretoe Kabupaten Aceh Utara, pada bulan Maret sampai April 2013. Pengambilan ikan target dari Krueng  Keuretoe dilakukan dengan jala, dan pancing menggunakan metode survei, sedangkan penetapan organ target dilakukan dengan metode bedah. Analisis organ yang mendominasi  akumulasi ikan dilakukan dengan cara membandingkan antara organ lain yang terakumulasi cadmium, sedangkan analisis data tentang  akumulasi logam cadmium dilakukan dengan metode AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry). Hasil diperoleh adalah organ yang terkumulasi cadmium pada hepar berkisar antara 0,0130 – 0,0336 ppm, sedangkan tingkat akumulasi logam cadmium pada otot 0,0001-0,0299 ppm, dan pada cor berkisar 0,0008-0,0252 ppm. Kesimpulan diperoleh adalah organ yang paling dominan terakumulasi logam cadmium adalah hepar yang sudah melebihi nilai ambang batas baku mutu.

Abstract

Water quality parameters influence the growth and survival of different stages of fishes and hence determining the optimal water quality variables is greatly important for any aquaculture farming. Among the variables, water pH is considered the key factors and plays an important role in the maintenance of the homeostasis in fishes. A study was conducted to determine the influence of different water pH on the incubation period, hatching rate and survival rate of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) larvae. The fertilized eggs were incubated at 28.0 ± 1.0 °C with different levels of water pH ranging from 3-10. Twenty four pH levels were tested for incubation period and egg hatchability while 15 pH levels were tested for larval survivability in a completely randomized design with three replicates for each treatment. Just hatched larvae were used for this study and the effect was observed until 72 h post-hatching. Water pH was maintained by the addition of NaOH or H2SO4solutions. The incubation times of fertilized eggs were recorded to be 23.5–25.0 h at pH levels of 6.1–8.8. The increased incubation time was noticed at the rest of the acidic and alkaline pH levels. Significantly highest hatching rate was observed at the pH levels of 6.7–7.6 compared to those at lower and higher pH levels (P0.05). However, no significant differences (P0.05) were recognized in the hatching rates at the pH levels of 6.7 – 7.6. No hatching occurred at low pH levels between 3.1 and 3.4 and at high pH of 10. After 72 h of exposure to different pH levels, no larvae survived at pH levels below 4.5 and above 9.0.  Highest larval survival (98%) was observed at pH 7.0 followed by 94% at pH 7.5 and 92% at pH 6.5. The results obtained in the present study revealed embryos and larvae can survive and tolerate to a low pH level of 3.7 and 4.5, respectively but the survival rates decreased with decreasing pH levels. Therefore, a water pH level of 6.7–7.5 is highly recommended for optimal hatching and highest larval viability of C. gariepinus.

Abstract

The aims of this research was to determine the optimum concentration of pineapple stem (Ananas comusus) extract in the feed on the growth and protein digestibility of climbing perch (Anabas testudineus). This research was conducted at Aquatic Laboratory in Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Syiah Kuala University on September to November 2014. This research used six treatments with four replicates. The treatments were 0%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, 12.5%, and 15% pineapple extracts in the diet. The fish fed three times a day at feeding level of 5% body weight for 60 days. The result showed that weight gain ranged from 0.448 g to 1.678 g, the specific growth rate ranged from 0.039% day-1 to- 0.973% day-1, the daily growth rate ranged from 0.007 g day-1 to 0.028 g day-1, and feed conversion ratio ranged from 2.537-7.829, feed efficiency ranged from 12.868% to 40.222%, and protein digestibility ranged from 74% - 86.7%. The ANOVA test showed that addition of pineapple stem extract on the feed gave a significant effect on growth performance, feed conversion ratio, feed efficiency of   climbing perch and the optimum concentration of pineapple stem extract in feed was 5%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan konsentrasi optimum ekstrak batang nanas (Ananas comusus) dalam pakan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan daya cerna protein pakan pada ikan betok (Anabas testudineus). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Akuatik Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Syiah Kuala pada bulan September hingga November 2014. Penelitian terdiri dari 6 taraf perlakuan dan 4 ulangan.  Perlakuan yang diuji adalah perbedaan konsentrasi ekstrak batang nanas dalam pakan, yaitu 0%, 5% , 7,5% , 10% , 12,5% dan 15% . Ikan beri pakan tiga kali sehari sebanyak 5% dari biomassa selam 60 hari. Hasil penelitian diperoleh pertumbuhan bobot berkisar 0,448 g - 1,678 g, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 0.039% perharisampai 0.973% perhari, laju pertumbuhan harian berkisar antara 0,007 g perhari – 0,028 g perhari, sedangkan rasio konversi pakan berkisar antara 2,537-7,829, efisiensi pakan berkisar antara 12,868% - 40,222 %, dan daya cerna protein berkisar 74% - 86,7%,  nilai tertinggi pada setiap parameter uji dijumpai pada perlakuan 5% ekstrak batang nanas. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak batang nanas dalam pakan berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan bobot, pertumbuhan spesifik, pertumbuhan harian, konversi pakan, dan efisiensi pakan ikan betok, serta hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak batang nanas dalam pakan meningkatkan daya cerna protein ikan betok (Anabas testudineus). Konsentrasi ekstrak batang nanas terbaik pada penelitian ini adalah 5%.

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to determine the intensity and prevalence of parasites on climbing perch (Anabas testudineus). The study was conducted in June to August 2015. Samples of fish were collected from four locations, namely: Rawang Itek subdistrict Tanah Jambo Aye district of Aceh Utara; Paya Lipah subdistrict of Peusangan, District of Bireun; Juroeng Teungeh subdistrict of Jangka Buya,  District of Pidie Jaya; and Blang Krueng subdistrict of Baitussalam District of Aceh Besar. A total of 30 fish samples from every location were analysis for parasites at Fish Quarantine Stations Parasites Laboratory and Quality Control (SKIPM) Class I, Aceh Province. The smeer method was used in this study. The results showed that there were three species of ectoparasites that infect climbing fish, namely: Dactylogyrus sp. Trichodina sp. and Argulus sp. The prevalence of parasites in fish from Rawang Itek was 50% with intensity 2 ind/fish, Paya Lipah was 43% and intensity 3 ind/fish, Juroeng Teungeh was 27% intensity 3 ind/fish, and Blang Krueng was 27% intensity 2 ind/fish. While one species of endoparasites (Camallanus sp.) was found in fish from Rawang Itek with prevalence of 13% and intensity of 1 ind/fish. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas dan prevalensi parasit yang menginfeksi ikan betok (Anabas testudineus). Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2015. Sampel ikan betok ditangkap pada empat lokasi perairan yang berbeda, yaitu: di Perairan Umum Rawang Itek Kecamatan Tanah Jambo Aye Kabupaten Aceh Utara, Paya Lipah Kecamatan Peusangan Kabupaten Bireun, Juroeng Teungeh Kecamatan Jangka Buya Kabupaten Pidie Jaya, dan Blang Krueng Kecamatan Baitussalam Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Masing-masing lokasi diambil sebanyak 30 ekor ikan betok untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan parasit di Laboratorium Parasit Stasiun Karantina Ikan Pengendalian Mutu (SKIPM) Kelas I Aceh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah  preparat ulas (smeer method). Hasil penelitian ditemukan 3 spesies ektoparasit yang menginfeksi ikan betok yaitu; Dactylogyrus sp. Trichodina sp. dan Argulus sp.  Prevalensi parasit pada ikan dari Rawang itek 50% dengan intensitas 2 ind/ekor, Paya Lipah 43% intensitas 3 ind/ekor, Juroeng Teungeh 27% intensitas 3 ind/ekor, dan Blang Krueng 27% intensitas 2 ind/ekor. Endoparasit yang menginfeksi ikan betok hanya satu jenis yaitu Camallanus sp. yang ditemukan menginfeksi usus ikan betok dari Perairan Rawang itek dengan nilai prevalensi 13% dan intensitas 1 ind/ekor.

Abstract

The objective of the present study was to examine the intensity and prevalence of ectoparasites on banana shrimp (Penaeus sp.) harvested from aquaculture ponds along western coast of Aceh Province, Indonesia. The study was conducted from March to May 2016 at 4 locations namely: Cot Jeumpa, Aceh Besar District; Kuala Unga, Aceh Jaya District; Kuala Tadu, Nagan Raya District and Kuala Batee, Aceh Barat Daya District. The samples were analyzed for ectoparasite at Quarantine Laboratory of Fish, Quality Control and Safety of The Fishing Yield, Aceh Besar. A total of 140 shrimps were collected during the study (35 shrimps every location). The results showed that there were three species of ectoparasite were recorded during the study; Zoothamnium sp., Vorticella sp., Epistylis sp. While, Zoothamnium sp. has the highest intensity and prevalence with the values of 20 ind/shrimp and 36%, respectively. According to sampling location, the highest intensity and prevalence were found in Cot Jeumpa, Aceh Besar and Kuala Tadu, Nagan Raya, while the lower intensity and prevalence were recorded in Kuala Batee, Aceh Barat Daya and Kuala Unga, Aceh Jaya. In addition, the ectoparasites were mostly found at pleopoda and pereopoda organs. It is concluded that there are three species of ectoparasites that infected Penaeus sp. with the highest intensity and prevalence were Zoothamnium sp.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas dan prevalensi ektoparasit pada udang pisang (Penaeus sp.) yang berasal dari tambak pada 4 lokasi di pesisir pantai Barat Provinsi Aceh. Udang di ambil dari lokasi Cot Jeumpa Kabupaten Aceh Besar, Kuala Unga Kabupaten Aceh Jaya, Kuala Tadu Kabupaten Nagan Raya dan Kuala Batee, Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya. Sampel udang diambil secara acak sejumlah 140 ekor (35 udang/lokasi). Pemeriksaan sampel dilaksanakan pada Bulan Maret hingga Bulan Mei 2016 di Laboratorium Stasiun Karantina Ikan, Pengendalian Mutu dan Keamanan Hasil Perikanan Kelas I Aceh, Aceh Besar. Pengamatan terhadap infestasi parasit dilakukan dengan cara pembedahan terhadap sampel. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 3 jenis ektoparasit dari golongan Protozoa, yaitu: Zoothamnium sp., Vorticella sp,. dan Episylis sp.. Intensitas dan prevalensi ektoparasit tertinggi ditunjukkan oleh Zoothamnium sp. dengan nilai intensitas 20 ind/ekor dan prevalensi 36%. Prevalensi ektoparasit tertinggi (80%) ditemukan pada sampel udang pisang dari lokasi Cot Jeumpa, Aceh Besar dan Kuala Tadu, Nagan Raya. Sedangkan nilai prevalensi terendah (34%) ditemukan pada tambak di Kuala Batee, Kabupaten Aceh Barat Daya. Intensitas tertinggi (25 ind/ekor) ditemukan di lokasi Kuala Unga, Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Sedangkan intensitas terendah (14 ind/ekor) pada lokasi Kuala Tadu, Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Secara umum ektoparasit yang menyerang udang pisang paling banyak ditemukan pada organ kaki renang dan kaki jalan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat 3 jenis ektoparasit yang menginfeksi udang pisang dengan tingkat intensitas dan prevalensi tertinggi adalah Zoothamnium sp..

Abstract

This research aim was to determine the optimum dose of vitamin C L-Ascorbyl-2-Phosphate Magnesium in the feed of peres fish (Osteochilus vittatus). The completely randomized design (CRD) with 7 treatments and three replicates were used in this study. The tested treatment is the differences dosage of vitamin C L-Ascorbyl-2-Phosphate-Magnesium (L-AP-Mg) supplemented in experimented diet containing 30% protein, the tested dosages of vitamin C were 0 (control), 50, 100, 150, 200 250, 300 mg/kg of feed. The fish were fed three times a day on 08:00, 12:00, and 17:00 pm for 60 days. The result showed the weight gain ranged between 0.28 g - 0.57 g, the specific growth rate ranged from 1.12% - 2.19% per day, daily growth rate ranged from 0.31 g / day –to 1.15 g / day,  and the survival rate ranged from 76% - 97.33%. The highest values for all parameters were found at the dosage of 300 mg / kg of feed.  The ANOVA test showed that the differences of vitamin C gave a significant effect on weight gain, specific growth rate, daily growth rate, feed conversion ratio, feed efficiency, and survival rate of the peres fish (P0.05). Based on the Duncan test showed that the highest weight gain, specific growth rate, daily growth rate, feed efficiency, feed conversion ratio and survival rate were found at the dosage of 300 mg / kg feed. In general, the growth of peres fish seed (O. vittatus) which were given vitamin C in their feed was higher than those that were not contained vitamin C. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan dosis optimum vitamin C L-Ascorbyl-2-Phosphate Magnesium dalam pakan untuk benih ikan peres (Osteochilus vittatus). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan model Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial, dengan 7 taraf perlakuan dan masing-masing 3 kali ulangan. Faktor yang di uji adalah perbedaan dosis vitamin C jenis L-Ascorbyl-2-Phosphate-Magnesium (L-AP-Mg) dalam pakan ekperimen yang mengandung 30% protein.  Perlakuan yang diuji adalah perlakuan dosis vitamin C 0, 50, 100, 150, 200 250, 300 mg/kg pakan. Pakan diberikan 3 kali sehari (08.00, 12.00, dan 17.00 WIB) selama 60 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertambahan bobot berkisar antara 0,28 g – 0,57 g, laju pertumbuhan spesifik berkisar 1,12 % perhari – 2,19 % perhari, laju pertumbuhan harian berkisar 0,31 g/hari – 1,15 g/hari, dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup berkisar 76% - 97,33%. Nilai tertinggi untuk semua parameter yang di ukur dijumpai pada perlakuan 300 mg/kg pakan. Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis vitamin C yang berbeda dalam pakan berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan bobot, laju pertambahan spesifik, laju pertumbuhan harian, dan kelangsungan hidup  benih ikan peres (P0,05). Berdasarkan hasil uji lanjut Duncan menunjukkan pertambahan bobot, laju pertambahan spesifik, laju pertumbuhan harian tertinggi dijumpai pada perlakuan dosis vitamin C 300 mg/kg pakan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, pemberian dosis vitamin C dalam pakan memberikan hasil lebih baik berbanding tanpa vitamin C. Dosis vitamin C terbaik adalah 300 mg/kg pakan.

Abstract

The objectives of the present study was to determine the best age of the zygote for gynogenesis of seurukan fish (Osteochilus vittatus) using heat shock treatment. The completely randomized design was utilized in this study. Five levels of zygote age were tested, namely: 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 7 minutes, 9 minutes and 11 minutes after fertilization and one control treatment (without heat shock). The zygotes were shocked at the temperature of 38oC for 60 seconds and every treatment was done at three replications. The ANOVA test showed that the zygote age gave the significant effect on the triploidy level and growth performance of the seurukan fish (P0.05). The highest percentage of the triploid  fish were found at zygote age of 3 minutes, but this value was not different significantly with 5 min, 7 min and 9 min. The highest weight gain  was found at zygote age of 3 minutes, but this value was not different significantly with 5 min, 7 min and 9 min. In addition, the highest of length gain was also recorded at zygote at zygote age of 3 minutes, but this value was not different significantly with 5 minutes of the zygote (P0.05). It is concluded that the best zygote age of the seurukan fish for gynogenesis using heat shock treatment was 3 minutes after fertilization.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan umur zigot terbaik untuk proses ginogenesis ikan seurukan (Osteochilus vittatus) dengan menggunakan kejutan suhu panas. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan model Rancangan Acak Lengkap faktor tunggal dengan enam taraf perlakuan, masing-masing perlakuan dengan tiga kali ulangan. Kejutan suhu yang diberikan yaitu 38oC dengan lama kejutan 60 detik, dengan perlakuan yaitu: kontrol (tanpa perlakuan kejutan panas), umur zigot 3 menit setelah pembuahan, umur zigot 7 menit setelah pembuahan, umur zigot 9 menit setelah pembuahan dan 11 menit setelah pembuahan. Uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kejutan suhu panas pada umur zigot yang berbeda berpengaruh nyata terhadap triploidy dan pertumbuhan ikan seurukan (P0,05). Persentase ikan triploid tertinggi dijumpai pada perlakuan 3 menit setelah pembuahan, nilai tidak berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan 5 menit, 7 menit dan 9 menit. Pertambahan bobot tertinggi dijumpai pada umur zigot 3 menit setelah pembuahan, nilai ini tidak berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan 5 menit, 7 menit dan 9 menit. Pertambahan panjang tertinggi dijumpai pada perlakuan 3 menit setelah pembuahan, nilai ini tidak berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan 5 menit (P0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa umur zigot yang berbeda berpengaruh terhadap triploidy, dan umur zigot terbaik adalah 3 menit setelah pembuahan

Abstract

Grouper is one of the economically important fish groups in the Simeulue and Banyak Islands. However, data on the diversity of the grouper in this region is still limited. This study aimed to inventory the commercially important grouper in Simeulue and Banyak Islands. Sampling was carried out in April - September 2021 at sixteen locations around Simeulue and Banyak Islands. In total, 20 species of commercial grouper consisting of 6 genera were recorded during the study. Epinephelus was the most dominant genus with ten species, followed by Cephalopholis with four species. In addition, seventeen species (85%) were included in the Least Concern (LC), two species (10%) were categorized as Vulnerable (VU), and one species (5%) was Data Deficient (DD). This study provides a database of commercially important grouper in Simeulue and Banyak Islands that can be used to manage the fish group.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to evaluate the length-weight relationships and condition factors of five dominant species of groupers harvested from Pulo Aceh waters, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province, Indonesia. The target species are Plectropomus leopardus, P. laevis, P. maculatus, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus and E. bleekeri. The samples were collected from fish landing in Ulee Lheue  and Ujung Pancu from April to July 2016. A total of 40 samples of each species were measured for total length (mm) and weighed for body weight (g). The data were calculated for length weight relationship using an Allometrict Linear Model (LAM). The results showed that Plectropomus leopardus, P. laevis, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus and E. bleekeri have the b values lower than 3 indicate a negative allometric growth pattern, while P. maculatus has the b value higher than 3 indicate a positive allometric growth pattern. The highest condition factor was found in P. leopardus  and P. laevis and the lower condition factor was recorded in E. fuscoguttatus. However, in general the relative weight condition factor was above 100, indicating a balance of prey and predators densities.Telah dilakukan  penelitian tentang hubungan panjang berat dan faktor kondisi lima spesies ikan kerapu Famili Serranidae yang dominan tertangkap di Perairan Pulo Aceh, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola pertumbuhan dan faktor kondisi lima spesies ikan dari Famili Serranidae dari perairan Pulo Aceh, yaitu; Plectropomus leopardus, P. laevis, P. maculatus,  Epinephelus fuscoguttatus dan E. bleekeri. Sampel ikan adalah hasil tangkapan nelayan yang didaratkan di Ulee Lheue dan Ujung Pancu, sampling dilakukan pada April sampai Juli 2016. Hasil pengukuran panjang dan berat terhadap 40 ekor ikan pada masing-masing spesies dianalisis dengan Linear Allometrict Model (LAM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  Plectropomus leopardus, P. laevis, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus dan E. bleekeri memiliki pola pertumbuhan allometrik negatif dan P. maculatus memiliki pola pertumbuhan allometrik positif. Faktor kondisi tertinggi pada ikan P. leopardus dan P. laevis dan terendah pada ikan E. fuscoguttatus. Faktor kondisi berat relatif secara umum berada diatas 100, menunjukkan adanya keseimbangan kepadatan prey dan predator.

Abstract

The Largescale mullet Liza macrolepis is a common fish found in estuaries and coastal areas and the fish is used as a source of protein by coastal communities. This study aims to analyze the prevalence and intensity of parasitic infected on mullets harvested from the waters of the West - South Aceh. This research was conducted from March to April 2019 in 8 locations, namely; Estuary Aceh River, Gampong Jawa, Banda Aceh city, Coastal Ujong Pancu, Peukan Bada, Aceh Besar, Estuary Teunom River, Calang, Aceh Jaya, Estuary, and Coastal Kuala Bubon, Samatiga, West Aceh, Estuary Nagan River Langkak Kuala Tuha Nagan Raya, Estuary, and Coastal Susoh, Blang Pidie, Southwest Aceh, Estuary and Coastal Indra Damai, Kluet Selatan, South Aceh and Estuary Sua- Sua River and Ujong Umo River, Simeulue. A total of 343 samples were examined for ectoparasites and endoparasites at the Laboratory of Hatchery, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Syiah Kuala University. The results showed that there were seven species of parasites, infected the mullet samples namely; Ectoparasites (Cymanthoa sp., Ergasilus sp., Lernanthropus sp., Monstriloida sp., Myxobolus sp.) and Endoparasites (Nematodes and Trematodes). Prevalence value of Kota Banda Aceh was 33% ectoparasites and 28% endoparasites), Aceh Besar was 21% ectoparasites and 15% endoparasites, Aceh Jaya was 4% ectoparasites and 4% endoparasites, Southwest Aceh was 2% ectoparasites and 2% endoparasites, Simeulue was 9% ectoparasites and 9% endoparasites. It is concluded that the higher prevalence and intensity were found in fish samples from Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar, while no fish from Nagan Raya and Aceh Selatan were infected by parasites.Keywords:ParasiteCoastalEstuaryPollutant ABSTRAKIkan belanak Liza macrolepis sering dijumpai di muara dan pesisir pantai dan dijadikan sebagai sumber protein oleh masyarakat pesisir. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis prevelensi dan intensitas parasit pada ikan belanak di perairan Barat Selatan Aceh. Penelitian dilakukan sejak Maret sampai April 2019 meliputi 8 lokasi, yaitu; Muara Krueng Aceh, Gampong Jawa Kota Banda Aceh, Ujung Pancu, Peukan Bada Aceh Besar, Muara Krueng Teunom, Calang Aceh Jaya, Muara Sungai/Pesisir Kuala Bubon, Samatiga Aceh Barat, Muara Krueng Nagan, Kuala Tuha Nagan Raya, Muara/Pesisir Susoh, Blang Pidie Aceh Barat Daya, Muara/Pesisir Indra Damai, Kluet Selatan Aceh Selatan dan Muara sungai Ujong Umo dan muara sungai Sua – Sua, tepah barat dan Simeulu Timur, Simeulu.  Metode digunakan adalah preparat ulas (Smeer method). Sebanyak 343 sampel dibedah untuk dilakukan pemeriksan ektoparasit dan endoparasit di Laborarorium Pembenihan Ikan, Fakultas Kelautan dan Perikanan, Universitas Syiah Kuala. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 7 jenis parasit, ektoparasit (Cymanthoa sp., Ergasilus sp., Lernanthropus sp., Monstriloida sp., Myxobolus sp.) dan Endoparasit (Nematoda dan Trematoda). Nilai prevalensi; Kota Banda Aceh (33% ektoparasit, 28% endoparasit), Aceh Besar (21 % ektoparasit, 15% endoparasit), Aceh Jaya (4% ektoprasit dan 4%endoparasit), Aceh Barat Daya (2% ektoprasit dan 2% endoparasit) Simeulu (9% ektoparasit dan 9% endoparasit). Disimpulkan bahwa prevelensi dan intensitas parasit tertinggi dijumpai pada sampel ikan dari Banda Aceh dan Aceh Besar, sedangkan ikan sampel dari Nagan Raya dan Aceh Selatan bebas dari serangan parasit.
