Abstract

Methyl Ester Sulfonates surfactant is produced from sulphonation process between methyl ester and sulphonating agent, such as NaHSO3.  The purpose of these research were to obtain the optimum conditions (reaction temperature, sulphonation time, methanol concentration and purification temperature) of sulphonation process in producing MES from Palm Kernel Oil methyl ester and to investigate the characteristic of MES produced.   Measurements conducted included iodine value and acid value.  The experimental design used was Response Surface Methode (RSM) and Central Composite Design (CCD) of four factors.  The analysis of resulted response surface indicated that the optimum conditions at MES production from methyl ester of PKO was obtained from the reaction temperature of 96,5oC, the sulphonation time of 4,3 hours, the methanol concentration of 26,6%, and the purification temperature of 45,5oC. The result of validation of optimum condition showed the acid value of 16,32 mg KOH/g sample and iodine value of 7,84 g iodine / 100 g sample. Abstract

In addition to home for seven active volcanoes, West Java, is also having high tectonic activity, owing to its close distance from subduction zone and crustal fault. The Cimandiri Fault extends about 100 km from southwest to the northeast ward through Sukabumi area. Gede Volcano with high seismic activity is sitting 20 km north of Cimandiri Fault. Shallow earthquakes often occur around Gede volcano and their sources are fairly close to the Cimandiri valley. Feltearthquakes occurred in 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2014,where the source supposed to be around Cimandiri valley,were followed by volcano-tectonic (VT) earthquake swarms in Gede Volcano. These swarms probably indicate that there is a linkage between tectonic and Gede volcano activities. However, the swarms were followed by less significant changes in volcanic activity. GPS data during measurement period of 2006-2015 show the existence of a fault with main stress in the northwest-southeast direction. The mechanism of the Cimandiri Fault is reverse fault with sinistral slip component and sinistral strike slip fault, while the swarm of VT earthquakes in Gede Volcano is dominated by reverse and normal faults. Tectonic earthquakes may trigger nearby volcanic eruption; it depends on the state of magma of the volcano and the magnitude of the earthquake.Keyword: Tectonic, Cimandiri fault, VT earthquake, Gede Volcano.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT A surfactant is a surface-active agent that can be produced by chemical or biochemical synthesis.  The main characteristic of a surfactant is having polar and non polar groups at the same molecule (amphiphilic molecules) and forming head-tail configuration. This research as aimed to obtain      the optimum condition (reaction temperature, sulphonation reaction and molar ratio)                              of sulphonation process in producing MES from CPO methyl ester and to investigate                          the characteristic of MES produced. Measurements conducted include iodine value, acid value, peroxide value and absorbance of Sulfonate. Experimental design used was Response Surface Method (RSM) and Central Composite Design (CCD) with three factors. MES resulted from this best condition   had following characteristic or CPO was obtained with ratio of reactants of 1:1.5, reaction time of 4.5 hour and reaction temperature of 108.9ºC with Acid value of 13.32 mg KOH/g sample, Iod value  of 41.12 Iod g/100 sample, Peroxide value of 7.6 mmole/1000 g, sulfonat absorbance of 0.76 AU. Keywords :  metil ester sulfonat, acid value, iod value, peroxide value

Abstract

The meaning of marriage is not just a meeting of two individuals, but also a cultural encounter behind both. To achieve success marital couples should make the process of cultural adjustment. This study aimed to describe the profile of cultural adjustment in the marital from aspects of thoughts, feelings, and actions of the husband or wife to her lover. The method used is descriptive method with quantitative approach. These samples included 50 people. Data were collected using a questionnaire designed based on the ordinal scale. Data analysis using Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results showed cultural adjustment in marriage at all respondents have achieved well adjustment. This conclusion is supported by data that measured three aspects of the figure level adjustment respondents as follows: 61 percent thought aspect, the aspect of feeling 84 percent, and 71 percent of the action aspects.

Abstract

DOI: 10.17014/ijog.5.1.81-91Seven periods of GPS campaign have been conducted for three years since March 2013 - October 2015 on fourteen GPS sites across Bali Island. The GAMIT/GLOBK 10.6 version was used to compute data with respect for thirteen reference sites of International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) 2008 surrounding Bali. The result shows that horizontal displacement varies between 1.93 and 22.53 mm/yr dominantly northeastward. Vertical displacement ranges at -184.34 to 33.79 mm/yr. The result of modeling using Coulomb 3.3 version indicates the deformation in Bali was mostly contributed by subduction at the southern part, West and East Flores Back-Arc Thrust at the north, Lombok Strait Fault and a fault at the eastern coast of Bali with the estimation maximum magnitude of 7.1, 6.6, 6.8, 5.8, and 5.2, respectively.

Abstract

Fish proccessed product is a favorite food that contain high protein in Indonesia, such as, otak-otak ikan. The aim of this research was to observe of phatogen bacteria contaminant on fish proccessed product, ex. Salmonella sp., Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. This research was had done on food proccessed product, used random sampling technicque, at traditional markets. The result data was arranged with descriptive statistic. The result research showed that contaminant of Escherichia coli was 1.54 x 102 colony/ ml at Tani market; 0.3 x 101 colony/ml at Gudang Lelang market. Fish proccessed product was contaminated by Salmonella, too. This research found that Fish proccessed product at Tamin, Tani and Rajabas was Salmonella contaminant detected. The Fish proccessed product that content the highest level of Stahpylococcus aureus were at Tugu narket (1,07 x 102 colony/ml) and Gudang Lelang market (1,12 x 102 colony/ml).

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur pasar dan mengetahui status Indonesia sebagai eksportir segar dan beku tuna di pasar kata, yaitu Jepang, Amerika Serikat, dan Rep Korea. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti akan menunjukkan competitveness perdagangan tuna segar dan beku di dunia baik tujuan ekspor Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan time series data dari tahun 1988 hingga 2012. Metode analisis yang Her? ndahl Index (HI) dan Konsentrasi Rasio (CR4). Microsoft Exel Software yang digunakan untuk analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa:. (1) Indonesia adalah eksportir tetap baik eksportir utama pada perdagangan segar dan beku tuna di Jepang, Amerika Serikat, dan Rep Of Korea sebagai pasar dunia, (2) struktur pasar tuna segar di Jepang dan Amerika Serikat ; . dan tuna beku dari Jepang dan Rep Of Korea dipimpin untuk oligopoli; sementara pasar beku tuna di USA dipimpin monopoli baik pasar tuna segar di Rep. Abstract

This study aimed to find optimum manufacturing trash fish protein hydrolyzate using the commercial papainenzyme. It is known that fish protein hydrolysates have good functional properties, so it is more widely utilized,especially for food. The study was conducted in two stages, the first stage was to make trash fish protein hydrolyzatetreated with enzyme concentration of 3%, 5%, 7% (w/w), and pH 5; 5.5; 6; 6.5; 7, whereas second stage was to maketrash fish protein hydrolyzate with same from the first stage and so the best treatment followed by treatment ofhalf-hour long incubation and one hour. Parameters observed were soluble protein, foamability, fat binding capacityand emulsion stability. The treatment was repeated three times and the first phase of data analysis using advancedtesting LSD and the second stage using the T test. Results show that the best soluble protein to produce a trashfish protein hydrolyzate enzyme was at a concentration of 5% and pH = 6.5 that was equal to 19.71%. In half an hourincubation produce higher soluble protein values and foamability that were equal to 24.97% and 9.63%, while thebinding capacity of fat in one hour incubation produces a higher value that was equal to 5.03%. Meanwhile, emulsionstability did not differ significantly at both incubation time.

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this case study is the high index of DMF-T in Piton 1 Elementary School. The purpose of this study was to find the correlation of nutritional status with DMF-T among students in Piton 1 Elementary School. This type of research is analytic observational research with cross sectional approach. The population in this case study was Piton 1 Elementary Schools's students with a large sample of 60 students. The method used for data collection is the inspection method. The analysis technique used is the chi-square data analysis tehnique. The results showed that there was no relationship between nutritional status and DMF-T among students in Piton 1 Elementary School, Punung District, Pacitan Regency. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bahwa pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia ( PMRI ) dapat meningkatkan karakter rasa ingin tahu dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IXB SMP 19 Semarang Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013, materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan yang diperoleh selama pembelajaran dengan pendekatan PMRI karakter rasa ingin tahu dan hasil belajar mengalami peningkatan dari sebelum diberi perlakuan sampai dengan akhir tindakan pada siklus II. Dari hasil analisis dengan prosentase perubahan menunjukkan bahwa karakter rasa ingin tahu katagori membudaya meningkat dari prasiklus 6,7%, siklus I 20%, siklus II 53,3% sedangkan hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat dari prasiklus rata-rata 56,5, siklus I rata-rata 59,6, siklus II rata-rata 70,7. Berdasarkan uraian diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan PMRI dapat meningkatkan karakter rasa ingin tahu dan hasil belajar matematika materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Lengkung (BRSL)
