Abstract

Kemampuan mengajar Bapak / Ibu guru TK di desa Dukuh dalam bahasa Inggris untuk anak anak belum memiliki dasar pelatihan sama sekali dan dalam melakukan komunikasi dengan menggunakan bahasa Inggris dipandang sangat kurang. Hal ini disebabkan karena Bapak/ Ibu guru tidak memiliki latar belakang pendidikan bahasa Inggris. Bahasa Inggris dewasa kini sangat penting sekali, dikarenakan menjadi bahasa global yang wajib dikuasai dalam masyarakat global. Oleh karena itu sangat penting mengajarkan dan mengenalkan bahasa inggris kepada anak- anak sedini mungkin. Agar mereka dapat mengenal dan menyenangi bahasa Inggris. Bapak / Ibu guru TK di desa dukuh perlu adanya pelatihan mengajar bahasa Inggris untuk anak anak TK supaya mereka senang dan bahagia belajar bahasa Inggris. Oleh karena itu untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia mitra maka kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dalam bentuk: Program Short Course Bahasa Inggris, Program Pengadaan media pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang berupa buku ajar English for young learner, Program Penguatan Kompetensi Kebahasaan dan program mengajar bahasa Inggris untuk anak TK.Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, Guru TK, Bahasa Inggris

Abstract

Nunun Tri Widarwati, Betty Gama, Dan Ardian Prima Putra. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat kompetitif Klaster ( PMKK ) Taman Kanak-kanak Desa Dukuh I dan Taman Kanak-Kanak Desa Dukuh II. Universitas Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo. 2015The teaching ability of Mr / Ms (TANPA SPASI) kindergarten teacher in Dukuh village in English for children has no basic training at all and in communicating with English is considered very less (SENTENCE IS REPAIRED AGAIN). This is because Mr. / Ms teacher does not have an English education background. Adult English is now very important, because it becomes a global language that must be mastered in a global society.  Therefore it is very important to teach and introduce English to children as early as possible. In order for them to know and enjoy English. Father / Mother kindergarten teacher in hamlet village need the training of teaching English for Kindergarten children so that they are happy and happy to learn English. Therefore, to improve thequality of partner human resources, the activities of community service are conducted in the form of: English Short Course Program, Procurement Program of English learning media in the form of English for young learner teaching book, Language Competence Strengthening Program and English teaching program for kindergarten children.Keywords: Training, Kindergarten Teachers, English

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bukti empiris sejumlah faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi Net Interest Margin (NIM) bank di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2013-2017. Faktor-faktor yang diduga dapat mempengaruhi NIM dalam penelitian ini adalah, Foreign Ownership, Loan Deposit Rasio, dan GDP Growth. Penelitian ini diharapkan bermanfaat bagi pemegang saham bank dalam mengawasi dan mengontrol manajemen bank dalam mengelola NIM bank, bagi manajemen bank dapat mengendalikan NIM pada bank tersebut, bagi pemerintah dapat menentukan kebijakan NIM bank dengan tepat, dan bagi penelitian selanjutnya dapat menambah rujukan dalam bidang penelitian perbankan khususnya NIM.Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa secara simultan variavel Foreign Ownership, Loan Deposit rasio, dan GDP Growth berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel Net Interest Margin. Secara parsial variabel Foreign Ownership berpengaruh positif terhadap NIM.

Abstract

Background: Although many kinds of research on gender discrimination have been made, empirical research on this matter under the perspective of translation technique is still rare. Therefore, this present research aimed to study gender discrimination in three novels authored by Pramoedya Ananta Toer and how gender discrimination is translated into English. Methodology: This case study was applied in three novels written by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, Anak Semua Bangsa, Rumah Kaca, and Jejak Langkah. The data were collected through observations and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings: The results showed that gender discrimination in the three novels was subordination, stereotype, marginalization, workload, and violence. Gender discrimination is translated using established equivalence, explicitation, modulation, paraphrase, implicitation, addition, transposition, reduction, compensation, discursive creation, pure borrowing, deletion, generalization, and particularization. Conclusion: This research reveals that gender discrimination is a phenomenon that commonly occurs in the world community. The research implications are also discussed either empirically or practically at the end of this article.

Abstract

Background: Examination of gender representation and the portrayal of a prominent female public figure in both foreign and domestic online media. By applying a feminist stylistics approach, the study sheds light on the importance of fair and unbiased representation of female leaders in the media landscape, which can contribute to dismantling gender stereotypes and promoting gender equality in society. Methodology: This study employs a qualitative method to explore the portrayal of gender relations using Sara Mills' feminist stylistics framework, focusing on word, phrase/sentence, and discourse levels. Findings: The findings reveal that the representation of the Indonesian Minister of Finance in both foreign and domestic news sites exhibit specific yet distinct results, influenced by cultural norms and Sri Mulyani's reputation within Indonesia and internationally. Utilizing the three levels of analysis within the feminist stylistics theory framework, the study uncovers that the minister is addressed fairly and without explicit gender bias. Conclusion: This study highlights the importance of fair and unbiased representation of public figures in media by examining the portrayal of Indonesia's Minister of Finance through a feminist stylistics approach. Originality: This comprehensive analysis contributes to a deeper understanding of gender representation in media and highlights the importance of addressing public figures in a fair and unbiased manner.

Abstract

This study uses a discourse analysis approach on Solo Baru billboards. The purpose of this study was to describe the microstructural analysis of Solo Baru billboards. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection in this study was carried out using the method of listening and documentation. The research data was taken from billboards in Solo Baru. The results of this study indicate the existence of cohesion and coherence tools in the discourse of Solo Baru billboards. The types of cohesion found were references (5 data), ellipsis (24 data), repetition (7 data), hyponymy (3 data), and collocation (6 data). The type of coherence found there is a relationship between the meaning of addition (6 data), cause (5 data), effect (5 data), and the relationship between requirements and presuppositions (4 data), and time (2 data).
