Abstract

Our nation’s journey is getting dynamic. Problems are coming based on the era changing. The shape of our nation behavior is moving without any basic character concept. When the Demak emperor reached the peak of glory, continued by the colonialisms, Soekarno (Old Orde Era), Soeharto (New Orde Era), and Reformation era, the effort to build our nation never stop. Many people and treasure were sacrificed; however the results were not satisfying. Even the same problems repeated as historical theory.Through case analysis method, from small cases, the shape of unity is a fact. Character building that was stated in religion subject could not serve the satisfying results. Even nation character building is being more left behind compared to other nations. The new policy is needed to overcome those problems. Firstly, mother culture and national culture need to improve, whereas international culture is the second choice. Secondly, the implementation honesties, smart, queue culture trough exemplary are important. Wider proportion of psychomotor dimension will improve character building.

Abstract

The research main target is to give direction and guiding the students to study  Entrepreneurship for their future choice job as the entrepreneur candidates. Entrepreneurship education is very brilliant idea in the era of very tight competion for job hunting for university graduaters, and this writing will give useful, valuable and meaningful contribution for students for being honest, reliable and kind heart entrepreneur in the future. The research kind is quantitative, entrepreneurship’ spirit is measured by Likert model attitude scale. The research instrument is questionnaire. The research design is survey, population 750 respondents, 150 samples are choosen by random sampling. Questionaires that are fulfilling the requirement is only 130. Then, it was cultivated SPSS method, and obtaining data presenting table and central tendency data analyzed by doubled linier regression. The research result showed that the entrepreneurship lesson score has influenced the students’motivation for doing business, and students’ study motivation also has influenced to study result entrepreneurship, though the influenced of both variables only 17 %. The growing of the entrepreneurship’spirit can be done if there was motivation and formal education was on. The formal education pushed the students to have positive attitude for doing entrepreneurship.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the management of the internationalization process of higher education in the form of self-governance, strategic plans (vision, mission, and objectives), institutional management, curriculum and learning processes, and quality assurance. The research applied a qualitative approach. The scope of the research is limited to the policy/ legal framework for managing the internationalization of higher education at three Islamic universities in Yogyakarta, comprising the State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, the Islamic University of Indonesia, and the Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta. The data collection was conducted through the techniques of; (1) participant observation, (2) in-depth interviews, and (3) document study. The data analyses used are (1) on-site data analysis and (2) cross-site data analysis. The results of the study showed that the process of self-governance towards higher education institutions with international competitiveness was divided into several stages, namely: determination of the vision, mission, and objectives; development of learning and curriculum which are equivalent to foreign universities; recruitment of foreign students and lecturers; and quality assurance that prioritizes technology, ISO standards, orientation changes, and overall quality assurance. The self-governance accommodates the rapid change and unpredictable education situation due to many factors such as technology, social changes, society health issue, and disruption advanced education in pandemic era. In the context of tertiary management, distinctive competences in the future need to be adapted to distinctive management courtesy. For example, the internalization of speech acts according to local culture is one of the characteristics that can improve the sustainability of higher education.

Abstract

Education is a crucial factor in determining whether or not character education is implemented. Character education is extremely important because, with character, humans will become noble and special beings when compared to other creatures, and even when compared to their fellow humans. Because of the critical importance of character education, the existence of character education methods and approaches is one of the role models to achieving an essential character both in attitude and action. Character education methods and approaches include: The purpose of this research is to develop an exemplary method for character development. By employing the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method of research, we have discovered that exemplary character education is an effective method and approach when implemented comprehensively by educators in every educational environment, with a particular emphasis on cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Abstract

Purpose: The program “Sekolah Penggerak” (School Activator) implemented in Indonesia in the recent years is conducted to encourage school principals in realizing an advanced Indonesia that is sovereign, independent, and has personality through the creation of Pancasila Students. One of the indicators of Pancasila Students is global diversity. This study aims to explore how two senior excellent high schools in Surakarta manage multicultural education especially on developing students’ character “global diversity” (kebhinekaan global). The schools are chosen as activators and motors of the country’s educational transformation program. Both are characterized by having students with various cultures (religion, ethnicity, gender, economic social background, and culture). Methodology: This is a qualitative study in which the researcher applied ethnography. To collect the data, the researcher interviewed the three schools’ principal, teachers, and students. In addition, the researcher observed the schools and collected documents. Results: The findings show that the schools principals plan the education character by involving teachers, staffs, and parents. To monitor the implementation, the principals assign the senior teachers to help them monitor the implementation. They also revitalize the school activities which encourage students with various background to communicate and collaborate. Evaluation and Reflection are conducted once a month.

Abstract

In the recent years, there has been a concern on how to make an innovative learning in the classroom in order to provide supportive learning environment. Such learning environment can be constructed in which it also highly relates to the learning media used by the teacher. Learning media are utilized to transfer lesson into easier way before it was delivered to the students. The main objective of this research was to describe the perception of teacher candidates who were still in the undergraduate degreeregarding with the use of board game as one of the learning media. This research was quantitative research and utilized questionnaire to collect the data. The objects of this research were 129 teacher candidates in the Department of Geography Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The questionnaires were distributed in two days by using simple random sampling by the method of accidental sampling in which it was given to the teacher candidates who came to the lecturer. Descriptive statistics was used to interpret the data. In general, the teacher candidates perceived the potential of the board game as a learning media in order to increase the interaction between teachers and students in the classroom. The teacher candidates also had sufficient understanding on the implementation of the board game.

Abstract

Teaching is a profession that requires a teacher to have special skills, a teacher cannot be done by just anyone because a teacher must be able to master four components, namely pedagogical competence, personality competence, social competence, and professional competence. Where the four components are interrelated, if a teacher is unable to master one of these competencies then he cannot be said to be a professional teacher. In this study, the researcher intends to analyze whether during the Covid - 19 pandemic teachers have fulfilled the professional competence of teachers through a culture of reflection carried out by teachers themselves. A professional teacher must be able to have the ability to teach, guide, and set a good example to his students, besides that teachers must also be able to master learning media, master the curriculum and have broad insights.

Abstract

. This study aims to describe the management of Regular School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds at SD Negeri 2 Sawahan, Boyolali Regency, starting from planning, implementation and accountability as well as reporting on the use of regular BOS funds by School Management. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, the source of this research is the school principal and BOS treasurer. Data collection uses direct interview techniques, field observations, and documenting the results. Data were analyzed using several stages starting from collecting data, sorting data by reduction, presenting data, and verifying the correctness of data. The results of data analysis concluded that the management of Regular School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds at SD Negeri 2 Sawahan had been carried out in accordance with the Technical Guidelines for the Use and Accountability of School Operational Assistance Funds for Elementary Schools in 2022, but in practice there were still obstacles such as delays in the distribution of BOS funds , discrepancies and lack of coordination in reporting BOS funds that must be corrected immediately.

Abstract

Numeracy is a strong foundation for attitude and action during the Covid-19 period. The cultivation of numeracy literacy at SD Muhammadiyah PK Boyolali has not met expectations. There are three objectives of this activity. 1) Teachers master the strategy of cultivating numeracy literacy. 2) The teachers apply the strategy of cultivating numeracy literacy well, students are happy and accustomed to learning numeracy literacy. 3) There is an increase in students' numeracy literacy skills. The activity was carried out at SD PK Boyolali and Banyudono Boyolali, January-June 2021. Participants were 25 teachers and 114 students. The implementation method goes through three stages, namely workshops, implementation assistance and assessment. Results of the activity: 1) The teachers mastered the strategy of cultivating numeracy literacy well, shown in the learning tools. 2) The teachers apply the strategy of cultivating numeracy literacy by a) getting used to various strategies for various questions, b) giving enough time to try questions, c) inviting them to solve problems in other ways, d) inviting them to look at other possibilities, e) when facing difficult problems not avoided but using time to repeat and work on more questions, and f) flexibility in problem solving. The students are happy and accustomed to learning numeracy literacy by, a) practicing consistently, disciplined and continuously, b) studying mathematics material outside the school curriculum, c) avoiding looking at answers before trying to work on questions, d) practicing writing down answers systematically, and e) try to solve the problem in another way. 3) There is an increase in students' numeracy literacy skills, both in personal, socio-cultural, and scientific contexts.
