Abstract

Abstarct: Comunication deliveries sentences and also sound imitation. Sound imitation or onomatopoeia can be found in oral/spoken language and written language. In a sentence, onomatopoeia has variations of type and gramatica function. This study aims to describe the types of phonology structure and gramatica functions of the onomatopoeia found on novel Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu. The onomatopoeia found on the sentences of the novel was chosen as the data of this study. The theory used in this study are the types of onomatope theory by Akimoto (2002), the part of speech theory by Murakami (1986), and the technique of lesap theory by Sudaryanto (1993) with descriptive-qualitative method. The result after the data has been analysed, six types of onomatopoeia on this novel are found chouon (long vowel), sokuon (dental consonant), hanpukukei (reduplication), hatsuon (nasal), double onomatopoeia, and suffix ri. Then, five types of gramatica functios are found verb, adjective, noun, adverb, and phrase. Then, new development was found, onomatopoeia is able to be removed if the predicate of the sentence is present and unable to be removed if the predicate of the sentence is missing.Key Words: Onomatopoeia, novel,sentences

Abstract

ABSTRACT Anime is a typical Japanese animation that has many fans around the world, including in Indonesia. Many Japanese learners are interested in learning Japanese because they were previously fond of anime. This also happened to students at the Riau University Japanese Language Education Study Program. This study aims to see the correlation between the hobby of watching anime and students' Japanese language skills. This study is limited to statements expressing agreement and disagreement in Japanese. The method used in this research is quantitative method. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive correlation between interest in anime and grammatical competence, namely in expressing opinions, which is 5.3%.Key Words: anime, correlation, grammar skil

Abstract

Abstract : This research entitled Cultural Defense in the novel of the Hidden Moon in the Sky of America by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra. The purpose of this study is to describe how the cultural defense in the novel Moon Breaded in the Sky of America by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research that tries to tell the existing problem solving based on existing data. The source of data in this study is cultural defense in the novel Moon Breaded in the Sky America by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra. Based on the research, 84 cultural defense data were found in the form of language, knowledge system, life equipment and technology, belief or religious system. The details of data related to cultural defense are (1) language 2 data; (2) knowledge system 2 data; (3) live equipment and technology 3 data; (4) trust or religious system 47; and data that do not preserve the culture are (1) language 21 data; (2) religious system 2 data; (3) live equipment and technology 7 data; (4) belief or religious system 0 data. The results of this form of data that retain culture and do not maintain the culture in the novel Moon Splitted in the Sky America by Hanum Salsbiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra.Keywords: defense, culture, the Moon is split in the sky of America.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is about Language Usage on Store Name Board in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City. This study aims to describe what forms of store nameplate elements, the use of foreign languages, the use of word structure, and word selection. The method used in this research is prescriptive method with qualitative approach. Sources of data in this research is shop boards existing in kecamatan Tampan consisting of 4 kelurahan; Kelurahan Delima, Simpang Baru village, Tuah Karya village, and West Sidomulyo village. Technique of collecting data of this research that is by using technique of shooting and technique of record. The validity of the data is obtained by observational diligence techniques. The results of this study are as follows. First, the store nameplate element in Tampan sub-district was found in 11 elements. The elements are: 1) name, 2) store type, 3) product, 4) product information, 5) address, 6) zip code, 7) phone 8) slogan, 9) advertisement, 10) logo, 11) . The name element is an element required in the nameplate. This can be proven from each store nameplate data in Kecamatan Tampan found element name in it. Second, elements of kecamatan Tampan nameplate discourse are: 1) nameplate consisting of one element, 2) two elements, and 3) three elements. Third, the use of foreign languages on the shop name, whether it is in accordance with the rules of Law Number 24 Year 2009 or not. Fourth, the use of word structures on store nameplate in kecamatan Tampan. And fifth, the selection of appropriate and appropriate words on the shop name sign in Tampan district of Pekanbaru city.Keywords: Store Nameplate, Elements, Discourse, Foreign Language, Word Structure,Word Choice

Abstract

Abstrack:In Japanese, idioms are called “kanyouku”, are build from a lot of word such as sense, body part, numeral, colour, nature thing, animal and plant. The purpouse of this research is to determine the lexical meaning and idiomatical meaning of the kanyouku which contains the word te and find out the structure of the formation of kanyouku te. Researchers obtained the data from the modern Japanese-Indonesian kanji dictionary, the Japanese-Japanese dictionary Kenji Matsuura, and the online dictionary Goo Jisho, Kotowza Kanyouku Hakkajiten, etc. The method used in this research is descriptive method. In collecting data library research is used, that is, using written sources to obtain data. The technique used in the collection of research data is the listening method. The theory used in this study is the theory of Muneo Inoue and Momiyama. The anaysis of data in this research are there are 18 kanyouku that use the word te. Based on data analysis that has been done shows that the word 手 te in forming idioms can produce a type of meaning consisting of 5 data which stated karada, seikaku, taido wo arawasu kanyouku (personality) 8 data which started Koui, dousa,koudou wo arawasu kanyouku (action) , and 5 data which stated Jouta, teidou,kachiw o arawasu kanyouku (condition and value). Abstract

Abstract: Joseph Campbell formulated the theory of Hero’s Journey as the stages that a person must pass to be called a her. Based on the Hero’s Journey, the representation of the pattern of heroism in the comic Tsuki ga michibiku isekai douchuu (abbreviated as TGMID) will be written. There are 57 chapters of TGMID comic that will be researched and searched for data that represents the pattern of heroism. This study uses the theory of Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey in his book entitled The hero with a thousand faces (1949). Research shows that Masumi Makoto, who is the main character in the TGMID comic, has experienced and gone through seventeen stages of a hero’s journey. This research is expected to be a reference source for the study of literature, especially for research on Hero’s Journey.Key Words: Hero’s Journey, Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study was entitled ”Idioms in Opinion Heading of Riau Pos Daily Newspaper”. It discussed about (1) What are the categories of idiom which were contained in the opinion heading of Riau Pos in edition of July, 2013?, and (2) What are the idiomatic meanings which were contained in the opinion heading of Riau Pos in edition of July, 2013?. The objective of this study was to describe (1) the categories of idiom which were contained in the opinion heading of Riau Pos in edition of July, 2013, (2) the idiomatic meanings which were contained in the opinion heading of Riau Pos in edition of July, 2013. This study used descriptive method. The data were language corpus in the opinion heading of Riau Pos in edition of July, 2013 which contained some idioms. The data source was the discourses in the opinion heading of Riau Pos in edition of July, 2013. The data collection was conducted by using documentation technique. The results of this study found 54 idioms. There were three categories of in the opinion heading of Riau Pos in edition of July, 2013. They were (1) 39 idioms of nominal phrase, (2) 12 idioms of verbal phrase, and (3) 3 idioms of adjective phrase. In term of idiomatic meanings, there were 25 idioms having complete meanings and 29 idioms having partial meanings.  Key words: Idioms and Opinion

Abstract

Abstrack: This study uses a common phoneme people often used Bagan Siapi-api and public Pujud and research found significant variations in language in trems of greeting someone from one place to another with the pronounciation, intonation or words uttered by the speaker differences within the region. This research was conducted in Rokan Hilr precisely in Bagan Siapi-api and in the district Pujud. The method used in this research is descriptive and comparative method that aims to describe and compare the type of phonemes found in Riau Malay Language Dialect Rokan Hilir Subdialek Bagan Siapi-api and Subdialek Pujud and this study used a qualitative approach. The result of this study to obtain three types of phonemes with details as follows: (1) six vocal phonemes, (2) twenty consonant phonemes (3) nine phonemes diphthongs and as many as 256 data.Keyword: comparative, phonemes, riau malay language, rokan hilir

Abstract

Abstract: This research discuses about translation of Indonesian phatic words into Japanes. On this research, writer using descriptive qualitative method with phatic theory by Kridalaksana (1986) and translation method by Newmark (1988). After collecting data on the webtoon, writer found 17 types of phatic words, it’s ah, deh, dong, kan, kek, kok, -lah, lho, nah, pun, sih, toh, ya, yah, ayo, halo and selamat. The results of this research, not all Indonesian phatic words are translated into phatic word in Japanese, because in Japanese there is no class of phatic word like Indonesian language. Translation tends to use communicative translation methods ehich only find the right equivalent in Japanese according to the context of the sentence and structure of the Japanese language.Key Words: Translation, Phatic Word, Webtoon.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study discusscolloquial and argot in Indonesian LawakKlub (ILK) TV Show based of the form and meaning of the words uttered by the ILK participants. The research was conducted using qualitative approach and descriptive method to describe the form and meaning of the words from the colloquial and argot used by the participant of the ILK TV Show. The subjects of this research were 3 episodes of ILK TV Show. The data of the research was the discourse delivered by the participant of ILK TV Show. The data was collected using recording and noting technique which were classified based on the form of the colloquial and argot. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that in the ILK TV Show, there were several forms of colloquial and argot. Moreover, there were also several vocal and consonant omissions as well assome removals of the last syllable of the words. The forms of colloquial founded were: (1) colloquial using the basic word, (2) colloquial in which thevowel a is omitted, (3) colloquial in which the vowel i is omitted, (4) colloquial in which the vowel e is omitted (5)colloquial in which the consonant h is omitted(6) colloquial in which the consonant s is omitted, (7) colloquial in which the vowel e and the consonant ng are omitted, (8) colloquial in which the consonant b and vowel a are omitted, (9) colloquial in which the consonant b and vowel e is omitted, (10) colloquial in which the consonant k and vowel a is omitted, (11) colloquial in which the last syllable is omitted. In addition, the forms of argot founded wereargot using the basic word and argot using the affixes.Keywords: Colloquial and Argot, Form, Indonesia LawakKlub (ILK)
