Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and increase the mathematic learning outcomes by implying Problem Based Learning model. The subject of this research is the student of VIII2 SMP Negeri 36 Pekanbaru on odd semester of 2015/2016. There are 38 students in the class, consist of 20 boys and 18 girls who have heterogeneous academic ability. This research have two cycles, each have four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycles ended by daily examination. The data of teacher and student’s activities collected by observation and analised by narrative descriptive. The data of student’s mathematic learning outcomes collected by examination and analised by descriptive statistics. The implementation called success if there’s positive improvement of the learning process and the number of students who reach minimum completeness criteria increase after the implementation. The result shows that the implementation of the learning process at the second cycle have been improve from the implementation at the first cycle. The weakness at the first cycle has been improved by implementation at the second cycle according to improvement plan after reflection at the first cycle. More than half students actively participated in the learning process, as in group discussion, presented their works, responded to other group, and sum up the learning conclusion. The number of students who reach minimum completeness criteria increase from 36.84% at the base score to 55.26% at the first cycle and 71.05% at the second cycle. Therefore, it can be said that there is an improvement of learning process and mathematic learning outcomes after the implementation. This research conclude that implying Problem Based Learning model can improve learning process and increase mathematic learning outcomes for students of VIII2 SMP Negeri 36 Pekanbaru on odd semester of 2015/2016.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the learning process and increase the student’s learning outcomes through the implementation of Think Talk Write (TTW) Strategy. The research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The research was conducted in student of grade VII of Junior High School An Namiroh Pekanbaru in the second semester of the 2015/2016 academic year with the subject are 32 students. The research instrument are consists of learning devices and instrument data collectors. Learning devices used in this research are consists of the Syllabus, Lesson plan and Student work sheet. The instrument data collector used in this research is consists of the observation sheet and math test. Technique of data analysis is analysis of narrative descriptive and analysis of statistical descriptive. Based on the result of the research show that, the learning process has improved looks on implementation of learning is getting better for each meeting and the student’s learning outcomes have increased looks on increasing the number of students who achieve of KKM on daily test I and daily test II compared to the base score after applying the Think Talk Write (TTW) Strategy. The Think Talk Write (TTW) Strategy can be used as an alternative in learning, because it can improve the learning process and increase the student’s learning outcomes.                                                                                                                         Key Words: Think Talk Write (TTW) Strategy, student’s learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research which aims to improve the learning process and the result of learning mathematics by applying Discovery Learning (DL) model. The subject of this research were the second semester students of class X MIA 5 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru academic year 2016/2017 consisting of 13 male and 17 female students. Instruments on this reserach constisted of syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets; and instruments of data collection which is observation sheets and the test result sheets. The function of observation sheet is to obtain data from the learning process and analyzed in a narrative descriptive, while the function of results sheet of the mathematics learning tests is to obtain the results of the study and analyzed in statistics descriptive. From narrative descriptive analysis can be seen that there was improvement of learning process from before action in cycle I to cycle II. From statistic deskriptive analysis can be seen an increase in the number of students who reach the minimum criteria of mastery learning. The learning result of the student experience an increase from the basic score the Cycle I and Cycle II. On the knowledge competence, from the basic score with percentage 36,67% experience improvement in Cycle I with percentage 50% and 70% in Cycle II. On the skills competence, the number of students who reach the minimum criteria of mastery learning from Cycle I with percentage 23.33% improve to 50% in cycle II. Based on the results of this research can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning (DL) model can improve the learning achievement of the second semester students of class X MIA 5 MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru academic year 2016/2017.Key Words: Mathematics Learning Achievement, Discovery Learning model, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is low of mathematics learning outcomes of class VIIId of MTs PPDNTB in first semester of the academic year 2015/2016, with the aim to improve the learning process and improve learning result in mathematics in grade VIIId of MTs PPDNTB by implementation of cooperative structural with Numbered Head Togethr (NHT) approach. The subject of research were the students in the class VIIId of MTs PPDNTB that consist of 10 boys and 15 girls at the second semester of academic year 2015/2016. This research consist of two cycles that each cycle composed of 4 stages, such as planning, implementation, observation and reflection. At every end of a cycle, researcher doing out daily test. The research instrument consists of learning devices that involve Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Student Worksheet, and instrument data collector that involve the observation sheet and math achievement test. Observation  sheets is analyzed by narrative descriptive analysis and math achievement test analyzed by quantitative descriptive. Based on the results of the research, show that the learning process has improved and the student’s mathematic learning outcomes also increased after applying cooperative learning with Numbered Head Together (NHT) structural approach. The number of students who reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria before the action is  36%, and increased at the first cycle 52% and also increased at the second cycle  76%.

Abstract

Abstract :The purpose of this research is to improve the learning process and to improve mathematics achievement by applying problem based learning. The research is classroom action research that consist of two cycles and at the end of every cycle carried out mathematics achievement test . The subject of this research is students of class X MIA 7 SMAN 1 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2014/2015, there are 28 students in the class, consist of 11 boys and 17 girls who have heterogeneous academic ability. Data collecting through observation and written test. The observation was doing for the observation of learning activity of teacher and students, student attitude and student skill. While written test is to evaluate student’s knowledge. Based on the analysis of the activity of teacher and students, the application of the problem besed learning is getting better Based on the result of analysis, the amount of student that reaching minimum completeness criteria for cooperation attitude increase from 42,85% at early score to 67,85% at the first cycle and 96,42% at the second cycle. For discipline attitude increases from 57,14% at early scor to 71,42% at the first cycle and 100% at the second cycle. For honesty attitude increase from 53,37% at early score to 71,42% at the first cycle and 100% at the second cycle. For tolerance attitude increase from 46,42% at early score to 71,42% at the first cycle and 96,42% at the second cycle. The amount of student that reaching minimum completeness criteria for skill interest increase from 50% at early score to 92,84% at the first cycle and 100% at the second cycle. The amount of student that reaching minimum completeness criteria for knowledge interest increase from 7,14% at early score to 92,84% at the first cycle and 100% at the second cycle. The result of research conclude that problem based learning can improve the learning process and improve mathematics achievement of X MIA 7 SMAN 1 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2014/2015.Keywords : Mathematics learning outcome, Problem Based Learning, Class action research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve learning process and increase the mathematic learning outcomes by implying stuctural approach to cooperative learning think pair square model. Subjects of this research are the students of VII.3 SMP Dwipa Abadi Sungai Guntung Indragiri Hilir in the academic year 2016/2017. Total number of participant are 24 whose academic achievement are heterogen. This research have two cycles, each have four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycles ended by daily examination (UH). The data collected by observation and examination. The data analised by narative descriptive and statistical descriptive. The implementation called success if there’s positive improvement of the learning process and the number of students who reach KKM increase from the basic score to daily examinations (UH I to UH II). The research result from the observation sheets shows that teacher and student activities are improving after the model implemented. More than half students actively participated in the learning process, as in group discussion, presented their works, responded to other group, and sum up the learning conclusion. The number of students whose achieved basic score of KKM, UH  I), and UH  II are 10 students (29,17%), 13 student (54,17%) and 18 student (18 75%). This research shows that implying stuctural approach to cooperative learning think pair square model can improve learning process and increase mathematic learning outcomes for students of VII.3 SMP Dwipa Abadi Sungai Guntung Indragiri Hilir on odd semester of 2016/2017, to the basic competence (2.1) Recognize the algebra and its elements, (2.2) Perform the operation on the algebra, and (2.3 Solve linear equations of one variable.

Abstract

Abstract: The research is classroom action research that aims to improve mathematics achievement by applying Quick On The Draw in cooperative learning. The subject of this research is student of class X MIA SMAN 10 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2014/2015, there are 40 students in the class, consist of 15 boys and 25 girls. This research is exercised in two cycles, and at the end of every cycle carried out mathematics achievement test. Data collecting through observation for the observation of learning activity of teacher and student and also observation of student attitude, portfolio for the assessment of skill and mathematics achievement test for the assessment of knowledge of student. Base on the result of analysis, the amount of student that reaching KKM at attitude interest improves from 74.36 % at first cycle and become 100 % at second cycle. The amount of student that reaching KKM at knowledge interest improves from early score with percentages 48.71%, at first mathematics achievement test with percentages 56.41% and at second mathematics achievement test with percentages 82.05%. The amount of student that reaching KKM at skill interest improves from 92.3 % at first cycle become 100 % at second cycle. Abstract

Abstract: This classical research aims to improve learning process and to increase the mathematic learning evaluation by implying problem based learning model. Subjects of this research are VII B student at SMPS Cendana Pekanbaru of 2015/2016. Total number of participant are 21 whose academic achievement are heterogen. This research have 2 cycles, each have four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycles closed by daily exam. The data collected by observation and examination at daily based. The data analised by narative descriptive analysis and statistical descriptive analysis. The implementation succes if the improvement of the learning process and the number of students reach KKM increase at daily examination I and daily examination II. The research result from the observation form shows that teacher and student activity are good after the treatment implemented. More than half students actively participated in the learning process, as discuss, presented LAS, responded to presenter group, and gave the learning conclusion. The students also tried to solve the quiz from teacher in a great manner. The number of students whose achieved basic score of KKM,;daily examination I (first cycle), and daily examination II (second cycle) are 33.33%, 42.86% and 57.14%. This research shows that problem based learning model can improve learning process and increase mathematic learning evaluation for VII B Students at SMPS Cendana Pekanbaru.Key Words: Mathematic learning evaluation, Problem based learning, Classical research

Abstract

Abstract: This classroom action research is aimed at improving learning process and improving math learning outcomes by implementing Cooperative Learning  Model with Structural  Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Approach. The research subjects are 40 heterogenous academic ability level students of the VIII.9 class of State Junior High School 20 Pekanbaru in academic year of 2015/2016. The research consisted of two cycles in which each cycle consisted of four phases, i.e; namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. By the end of a cycle, daily test was held. The data was collected by means of observation and daily test. The action success indicators were if there is learning process improvement and the number of students passing Minimun Completeness Criteria (MCC) indicates the increase after the implementation. The research shows that teachers and students’ activities were conducted well as planned. Most of the students participated actively and responsible in the learning process e.g. discussing, presenting student’s worksheet, responding to classmate’s presentation, and drawing the lesson conclusion. Additionally, the students afforded to answer the written test given by teacher well. Therefore, it can be said that improvement of learning process took place in every meeting. Furthermore, the number of students passing the MCC on base score,  first cycle, and second cycle were respectively 40%, 45%, and 67,5%. The percentage of MCC achievement also indicates the increase after the implementation, thus it can be said that the students’ learning outcomes also increse. Finally, the research also shows that  cooperative learning  model with structural  Numbered Heads Together (NHT)  approach can improve math learning process and learning outcomes of VIII.9 class students at State Junior High School 20 Pekanbaru. Key Words:    Math Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning  Model with Structural  Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Approach, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes by applying cooperative learning Think Pair Square (TPS) approach. The subjects of this research are the student of class X2 SMAN 11 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015, which amounts to 34 students. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected through observation and learning outcomes test.  Data analysis is done by observation data analysis and student’s mathematics learning outcomes data analysis. The action is successful if teacher’s activities and student’s activities increase in every meeting and the number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increases in every cycle. Results of research on the observation sheet shows the activity of teachers and students have executed better and has improved at each meeting. Percentage students that reach knowledge Minimum Mastery Criteria in base score is 8,82% increase to 41,18% at the first cycle and 73,53% at the second cycle. The result of this research showed that cooperative learning Think Pair Square approach improve the learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes the students of class X2 SMAN 11 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015.
