Abstract

Abstract: This research is classroom action research that aims to improve learning process and to increase mathematics achievement with applied the learning cooperative approach Think Pair Share (TPS) model. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.The subject of this research is student of class VIIIE SMPN 1 Siak Hulu in academic years 2018/2019, which amounted to 32 students, consist of 15 boys and 17 girls. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students Mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathematic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to first test I and II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (37,5%) to the first test (46,9%) to the second test II (68,75%). Results of this research indicates that appication of the learning cooperative approach Think Pair Share (TPS) model can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class VIIIE SMPN 1 Siak Hulu in academic years 2018/2019 for the subject matter of Flat Side Space.Key Words: Mathematics Achievement, Learning Cooprative Approach Think Pair Share (TPS), Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This classroom action research is aimed at improving learning process and improving math learning outcomes achievement by applying think talk write strategy in the cooperative learning. The subject of this research is students of class VIII2 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru in academic year of 2015/2016, there are 40 students in the class, consist 17 boys and 23 girls. The research consist of two cycles in which each cycle consisted of four phases, i.e; namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. By the end of a cycle, daily test was held. The data was collected by means of observation and daily test. The action success indicators were if there is learning process improvement and the increasing number of students passing Minimun Completeness Criteria (MCC) in daily test I and daily test II. The research shows that teachers and students’ activities were conducted well as planned. Most of the students participated actively in the learning process e.g. discussing, presenting student’s worksheet, responding to classmate’s presentation, and drawing the lesson conclusion. Additionally, the students afforded to answer the written test given by teacher well. Therefore, it can be said that improvement of learning process took place in every meeting. Furthermore, the number of students passing the MCC on base score, daily test I (first cycle), daily test II (second cycle) were respectively 40%, 50%, and 70%. The percentage of MCC achievement also indicates the increase after the implementation, thus it can be said that the students’ learning outcomes also increse. The result of research conclude that applying think talk write strategy in the cooperatif learning can improves mathematics achievement VIII2 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Math Learning Outcomes, Think Talk Write Strategy in the Cooperative Learning, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is low of mathematics learning outcomes of class VII8 of 21 Junior High School Pekanbaru in first semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. Related to learning outcomes, one of the main factors affecting is the learning process. In line with it, the in order to improve student learning outcomes, it is necessary to improve the learning process. The type of this research is the Classroom Action Research that has purpose to improve the learning process and to increase student’s mathematic learning outcomes by applied the Problem Solving Strategy in Cooperative Learning. This research consists of two cycles that each cycle composed of 4 stages, such as planning, implementation, observation and reflection. At every end of a cycle, math achievement test will be held.The research instrument consists of learning devices that involve Syllabus, Lesson Planand Worksheet, and instrument data collector that involvethe observation sheet and math achievement test. The Observations collected through the observation sheet by narrative descriptive analysis and math achievement test by statistic descriptive analysis.The result of the research showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle II according with planning of improvementafter reflection cycle I. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to daily test II. The number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria on basic scor, daily test I and daily test II are respectively 12 person (27,27%), 23 person (52,27%) and 28 person (61,36%). Results of this research indicates that application of Problem Solving Strategy in Cooperative Learning can improve learning process and increase mathematics learning outcomes from the studentsof class VII8 of 21 Junior High School Pekanbaru in first semester of the 2017/2018 academic year at the subject matter of equation and linear inequalitiesof one variable.Key Words: Problem Solving Strategy, Cooperative Learning, Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Abstract

ABSTRAKThe research was done in MA YPKM Lubuk Jambi, in the second semester of academic year 2012/2013. The subjects were students of class XI IPS. There is a class of 15 students, consisting of 9 men and 6 women who have heterogeneous capabilities. The purpose of this research is to improve mathematics learning outcomes, especially in basic competencies using derivatives to determine the characteristics of a function and solve the problem, the basic competencies devised a mathematical model of the problems associated with extreme functionality and basic competency describes mathematical models of the problems associated with extreme functionality and interpretation through problem-solving strategies in tife STAD cooperative learning model.This study is a class action. There are two cycles and four stages, planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed that an increase in student achievement. The first cycle shows that the percentage of students who receive a minimum completeness criteria of 20% to 26.7%. While in the second cycle, the percentage achievement of minimum completeness criteria increased from 26.7% to 86.7%, in other words, the implementation of the application of problem solving strategies in STAD cooperative learning model to improve learning outcomes of students in class XI maths IPS MA YPKM Lubuk Jambi , on the basis of competence using derivatives to determine the characteristics of a function and solve the problem, the basic competencies devised a mathematical model of the problems associated with extreme functionality and basic competency describes mathematical models of the problems associated with extreme functionality and interpretation. Keywords: STAD cooperative, problem-solving strategies, classroom action research

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the result of learning mathematics of class student VII1 SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru which is still under the minimum mastery criteria with a persentage of 30,5 % only 11 students from 36 students who achieve the minimum mastery criteria on the subject matter of the algebra. The purpose of this research aims to improve the learning process and increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of Cooperative learning structured approach Numbered Heads Together. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycle, who conducted in class VII1 SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru in the second semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. Research subject as many 36 students, consist of 17 boys and 19 girls. The research instrument consists of learning devices and instrument data collectors. Learning device used is Syllabus, Lesson Plan and Worksheet. The instrument data collector used in this research is the observation sheet and math achievement test. The observation sheet was analyzed whit descriptive qualitative while the test of mathematics learning outcomes was analyzed statistically. Based on deskriptive qualitative analiysis showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle II according with planning of improvement after reflection cycle I. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to daily test II. The number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria on basic scor, daily test I and daily test IIare respectively 16 person (44,4 %), 21 person (58,3 %) and 27 person (75 %). Results of this research indicates that application of the Cooperative learning structured approach Numbered Heads Together can improve learning process and increase mathematics learning outcomes from the students at class VII6 SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru in the second semester academic years 2018/2019.Key Words: Students’ Math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Structural Approach of Numbered Heads Together, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes of mathematics class of fifth SDN 6 Talang Mandi by implementing cooperative learning in the structural approach Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). The subjects of the research were the fifth grade students SDN 6 Talang Mandi who have the heterogeneous academic ability. This research is a class act with two cycles. The first cycle consists of four times and one UH and the second cycle consists of three times and one UH. This research has four stages are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The result of the observation show the teachers and students activities have done after the action. Increasing the number of students who achieve at UH KKM in every end of each cycle compared to the number of the students who achieve a score of KKM on basic score. The results of this study indicate that application of cooperative learning in the structural approach TSTS can improve the process of learning and improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade of mathematics students at SDN 6 Talang Mandi in the odd semester of academic year 2013/2014.Keywords: Learning Process, Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning, TSTS, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process and improve student’s mathematic learning achievements. The researcher applied cooperative learning model structural approach of Numbered Heads Together at class VIII5 of SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru, academic year 2018/2019. The cooperative learning model structural approach of Numbered Heads Together employs students identification numbers to increase student’s sense of responsibility during the learning process. Data collection instrument in this study is observational activity sheets teachers and students, as well as math achievement tests. Sheet observations were analyzed using descriptive narrative, while math achievement tests will be analyzed using descriptive statistics. The descriptive analysis of the narrative is shown that the learning process of refinement occurs before action cycle I and cycle II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (34,2 %) to the first test (57,9 %) to the second test II (78,9 %). For the skills of basic score (13,2 %) to the first test (21,1 %) to the second test (31,6 %). Based on these findings it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model structural approach Numbered Heads Together at class VIII5 SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru can improve the learning process and improve mathematic learning achievements of students in the subject matter of circle academic year 2018/2019.Key Words : Mathematic Learning Achievements, Cooperative Learning Model Structural Approach of Numbered Heads Together, Class Action Research.

Abstract

AbstractThe research was classroom action research that aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes with applied cooperative learning model of type Team Games Tournament. The subject of the research is students of class VIII.A in SMP Negeri 10 Tapung in the first semester academic years 2013/2014. There are 24 students in the class, consist of 12 boys and 12 girls who have heterogeneous academic ability. The research are two cycles. Each a cycle has four stages, the stages are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each end of the cycle of daily test tournament carried out. The success of action was characterized by learning process that was better and the improvement of the number of students who reach minimum completeness criteria on a daily test tournament at the end of each cycle compared to the number of students who reach minimum completeness criteria on score basic.The results of this research showed an improvement in the learning process of each meeting and each cycle. In addition, the results also showed an improvement of the number of students who reach minimum completeness criteria on Tournament I and Tournament II compared the number of students who reach minimum completeness criteria on score basic. Thus , this research shows that the application of cooperative learning model of type Team Games Tournament can improve mathematics learning outcomes of the studentsof class VIII.A in SMP Negeri 10 Tapung.Key Words : Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Cooperative Learning, Team Games Tournament, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the result of learning mathematics of class student VII6 SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru which is still under the minimum mastery criteria with a persentage of 10,34 % only 3 students from 29 students who achieve the minimum mastery criteria on the associating the relationship and the area of a rectangle (square, rectangle, length, trapezoid, rhombus, kite) and triangle. The purpose of this research aims to improve the learning process and increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of Cooperative learning structured approach Numbered Heads Together. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycle, who conducted in class VII6 SMP Negeri 16 Pekanbaru in the second semester of the 2018/2019 academic year.
