Abstract

Perubahan yang sering terjadi dan banyaknya node dapat menyebabkan terjadinya collision atau tabrakan data pada VANET yang dapat menyebabkan terjadi packet loss yang tinggi, sehingga informasi yang dikirim tidak diterima. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan sebuah routing yang efisien dalam proses pengiriman data. Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) dan Temporally Ordered Routing Algorithm (TORA) merupakan jenis routing dalam wireless communication. DSR dan TORA termasuk jenis routing berbasis topologi yang bersifat reaktif, dimana jalur untuk menuju node tujuan akan ditentukan ketika paket routing telah sampai dinode tersebut. Hasil simulasi dengan perubahan jumlah node menunjukkan DSR memiliki nilai rata-rata throughput 443,204 kbps, packet delivery ratio 86,25%, packet loss 13,75%, delay 2,78 ms dan collision rate sebesar 0,12. Dan untuk TORA memiliki nilai rata-rata throughput 259,04 kbps, packet delivery ratio 41,97%, packet loss 57,98%, delay 2,81 ms dan collision rate sebesar 0,61.

Abstract

Saat ini, dalam dunia telekomunikasi, (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) WiMaX merupakan teknologi nirkabel yang menyediakan hubungan jalur lebar dalam jarak jauh, memiliki kecepatan akses yang tinggi dan jangkauan yang luas serta menyediakan berbagai macam jenis layanan. Masalah yang menarik dan menantang pada WiMaX adalah dalam hal menyediakan jaminan kualitas pelayanan (QoS) untuk jenis layanan yang berbeda dengan bermacam-macam kebutuhan QoS-nya. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan QoS tersebut, maka diperlukan suatu algoritma penjadwalan. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan simulasi jaringan WiMaX menerapkan algoritma penjadwalan dengan metode homogeneous algorithm dan hybrid algorithm. Perwakilan pada metode homogeneous algorithm akan menggunakan algoritma penjadwalan Weighted Fair Queuing (WFQ) dan Deficit Round Robin (DRR), sedangkan pada metode hybrid algorithm menggunakan penggabungan antara algoritma penjadwalan DRR dan WFQ. Pengujian kinerja algoritma penjadwalan tersebut dilakukan dengan membandingkan kedalam 5 jenis kelas QoS pada WiMAX yaitu UGS, rtPS, nrtPS, ertPS, dan Best Effort. Dari hasil pengujian, hybrid algorithm memberikan nilai QoS yang lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan homogeneous algorithm. hybrid algorithm sangat cocok jika diterapkan pada kondisi jaringan yang memiliki trafik dengan paket data yang bervariasi, karena dapat menghasilkan throughput yang tinggi, serta dapat menghasilkan nilai delay dan jitter yang rendah

Abstract

Virtualization technology is slowly being used to build network infrastructure called Network Function Virtualization (NFV). It takes network functions such as firewall, load balancer, IPS out of its hardware then uses its software to be run on high specification server. It helps to reduce vendor lock-in and creates a multiplatform network function environment for telecommunication or Internet Service Provider (ISP) company. It has a lot of benefits compared to a traditional network. One of them is reducing the number of hardware that is used in the telecom industry. This technology runs on the hypervisor that is used for the hardware management. One of the important components from NFV is Virtualized Network Function (VNF). In NFV, network devices are run on a server so that a firewall is needed. If an attack occurs on the network, it will interfere the existing network components. This paper focuses on analyzing the performance of two firewall systems: pfSense, and FortiGate. Both firewalls run on the VMware ESXi hypervisor. It compares the firewall performance in normal conditions without attacks and under SYN DoS attacks. Besides, firewall failover capabilities are evaluated. Based on the overall testing results, FortiGate has better performance than pfSense. It has better ability in handling DoS SYN attack because of lower throughput performance degradation and better FTP performance. It is concluded that FortiGate has best performance if it is compared to pfSense.

Abstract

The improvement of Long Term Evolution (LTE) radio access network services is affecting the increased value of traffic load in its network, which is causing traffic unbalance between cells in LTE Radio Access Network (RAN). Users will be served with ineffective resource block allocation which will make the total of gained throughput are not optimal. A method is required to move network load from overloaded cells to underloaded cells in order to balance the resource block allocation optimally. By using NS-3.26 simulation, User Throughput Based (UTB) predictive Mobility Load Balancing (MLB) method is tested with RandomWalkMobilityModel for each user. This method produces an improvement of 2,29 % in average of total throughput of 63,33 % successful optimization.

Abstract

Equal Cost Multipath Routing (ECMP) is a routing application where all available paths between two nodes are utilized by statically mapping each path to possible traffics between the source and destination hosts in a network. This configuration can lead to congestion if there are two or more traffics being transmitted into paths with overlapping links, despite the availability of less busy paths. Software Defined Networking (SDN) has the ability to increase the dynamicity of ECMP by allowing the controller to monitor available bandwidths of all links in the network in real-time. The measured bandwidth is then implemented as the basis of the calculation to determine which path traffic will take. In this research, an SDN-based ECMP application that can prevent network congestion was made by measuring the available bandwidth of each available paths beforehand, thus making different traffics transmitted on non-overlapped paths as much as possible. The proposed scheme increased the throughput by 14.21% and decreased the delay by 99% in comparison to standard ECMP when congestion occurs and has 75.2% lower load standard deviation in comparison to round-robin load balancer.

Abstract

IEEE 802.16e-2005 teknologi mobile WiMAX merupakan salah satu alternatif yang dapat memberikan datarate 15 Mbps yang lebih baik daripada teknologi 3G, WLAN, dan lain-lain. Mobile WiMAX juga memberikan cakupan area yang luas. Oleh karena itu, WiMAX mampu memberikan layanan berbagai macam aplikasi multimedia seperti VoIP, IPTV, Video conferencing. dan aplikasi real-time lainnya. Selain itu, Mobile WiMAX juga mendukung mobility secara portable, mobile, dan nomadic. Saat ini IPTV muncul pada mobile phone, yang dinamakan mobile TV dimana layanan IPTV akan dapat diakses dalam keadaan bergerak. Hal itu membutuhkan suatu teknologi yang mendukung mobility namun tetap dapat menerima layanan IPTV dengan baik. Teknologi mobile WiMAX adalah teknologi yang cocok untuk mendukung layanan IPTV khususnya untuk user yang sedang bergerak. Akibat dari user yang bergerak maka memungkinkan user tersebut melakukan handover. Penelitian ini menganalisis parameter unjuk kerja yang mempengaruhi pada mobile TV saat user melakukan handover pada jaringan mobile WiMAX seperti jitter, end to end delay, throughput, handover delay dengan skenario perbedaan kecepatan dan perubahan jumlah user dalam satu cakupan area. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi untuk skenario perbedaan kecepatan (maksimum 100 km/jam) diperoleh nilai end to end delay sebesar 23.234 ms, jitter sebesar 0.047 ms, throughput sebesar 637.723 Kbps. Sedangkan skenario jumlah user diperoleh nilai end to end delay 27.218 ms, jitter sebesar 0.057 ms, throughput sebesar 558.881 Kbps. Hasil dari kedua skenario menunjukkan bahwa saat kecepatan dan jumlah user naik maka parameter kualitas layanan turun namun masih memenuhi syarat kualitas layanan Mobile TV (IPTV).

Abstract

Perkembangan video game saat ini sangatlah pesat dan sudah beredar dalam berbagai genre permainan  seperti aksi, horror, pertualangan, puzzle dan game online. Seiring dengan perkembangan jaringan internet maka game online juga ikut berkembang dan mampu menarik banyak orang untuk memainkannya. Kebanyakan video game yang dibuat hanya ditujukan untuk menghabiskan waktu dan menghibur player agar jauh dari kebosanan. Pelajaran tentang kebersihan lingkungan perlu diajarkan sejak dini sehingga mampu membawa perubahan, baik berupa pengetahuan maupun tingkah laku. BoMCleaN adalah sebuah video game yang ditujukan untuk menghibur serta menambah kesadaran tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan sambil bermain dengan pemain lainnya menggunakan konsep multiplayer. Fitur utama dalam video game BoMCleaN menantang pemain menempatkan sampah pada tempatnya yang tepat. BoMCleaN menjadi salah satu Media Pembelajaran Kebersihan Lingkungan (PKL) yang mampu menambah pengetahuan akan pengklasifikasian sampah.

Abstract

ABSTRAKInfrastruktur jaringan seperti router, secara tradisional menggunakan hardware yang bersifat proprietary. Teknologi virtualisasi pada fungsi jaringan atau NFV (Network Function Virtualization) membuat layanan ini dapat diimplementasikan sebagai aplikasi perangkat lunak yang dapat dijalankan di lingkungan virtual atau Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs). Selain menggunakan hypervisor (hardware-level virtualization), teknologi virtualisasi memiliki alternatif pengimplementasian dengan menggunakan teknologi containers (Operating system -level virtualization), salah satunya menggunakan Docker. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan layanan FTP dan video streaming pada jaringan NFV di Docker Containers. Tanpa backgound traffic, layanan menunjukkan performansi QoS yang memenuhi standarisasi ITU-T G.1010 dengan delay FTP 0,12 ms dan delay video streaming 6,21 ms serta nilai packet loss kedua layanan sebesar 0%. Penggunaan CPU pada Docker ketika layanan dijalankan dibawah 1 %. Virtualization technology on network function or NFV (Network Function Virtualization) makes this service can be implemented as a software application that can run in virtual environment or Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs). In addition to using hypervisor (hardware-level virtualization), virtualization technology has an alternative implementation using containers technology (Operating system-level virtualization), one of them using Docker. This research implements FTP and video streaming services on NFV networks in Docker Containers. Without background traffic, the service demonstrates QoS performance that meets the ITU-T G.1010 standardization with 0.12 ms FTP delay and 6.21 ms video streaming delay and with packet loss value of both services at 0%. Abstract

The increasing demand for telecommunication services causes data traffic density. Therefore, in this research, the long-term evolution (LTE) network expansion was carried out using a choice of frequency bands of 700 MHz, 2100 MHz, and 2300 MHz. The analysis was carried out from the technical and economic aspects. Frequency band recommendations were obtained using the simple multi-attribute rating technique (SMART) method. This research was conducted using a case study of Semarang City. Based on the simulation results, the average of reference signal receive power (RSRP) values for frequency 700 MHz and 2300 MHz is in the very good range, while the frequency of 2100 MHz is in the good range. The signal to interference noise ratio (SINR) values for the three frequencies are in the normal category and the throughput values are in the very good category. The techno-economic calculations of the three frequencies, namely the value of internal rate of return (IRR), net present value (NPV), and payback period are included in the business category that is feasible to do. Based on the ranking results, the 700 MHz frequency is the most superior, both in terms of technical and economic aspects.

Abstract

Information on the number of available parking slot capacity and trip routes to the destination parking area, and motivation in choosing a parking area location are parameters that can help two-wheeled vehicle users choose the right parking area location. The three parameters that determine the accuracy of selecting a parking area location are implemented in an Internet of Things (IoT) based smart parking system. This system can provide information about the maximum number of slot capacities and the number of available slot capacities at the parking area. Two-wheeled riders are given information about which route to take to the destination parking area by utilizing the Location-Based Service (LBS). These two features are then supported by applying the gamification method to motivate two-wheeled riders to choose the right parking area. The smart parking system is tested with considered Quality of Service (QoS) parameter and black box testing. The results of testing the smart parking system produce QoS performance on the Line of Sight (LOS) test, with an average delay is 71.66 ms, average jitter is 107.59 ms, and throughput is 23 kbps. Meanwhile, in the non-LOS test, the average delay is 132.88 ms, the average jitter is 200.84 ms, and the throughput is 12 kbps. Overall system performance obtained the percentage of reliability is 99.65 %, and availability is 99.65 %. In black-box testing, LBS and gamification methods can implement according to application requirements specifications.
